- Donna Louise (8/5): - It was wonderful having access to the sister hotel to enjoy the pool, gym and breakfast as well as lovely courtyard space. Staff, notably Fatemah at Reception, Nazil, at breakfast and our cleaner, Tita were excellent. The room was lovely, but sachets were not replaced and greater attention would have been appreciated there. There was only one drawer above the fridge and my husband did not unpack as no space for clothes. The hotel is brilliantly placed to see the major sights. Thank you for a super stay . We would recommend the Sura Design Hotel.

Sraff celebrated our anniversary by giving us some treats in the room which was very kind. The breakfast was basic but nice. Front desk staff seems irritated with a question I didn’t have any option in the last minute, I wouldn’t book this hotel again. Food around this hotel is extremely expensive almost triple the price than the regular restaurant.

The showers are lovely. Location is very close to Hagia Sophia. The reception staff are very supportive and kind. Onsite restaurant is expensive.

- Sebastian Martinez (2/5): - The hotel is in a great area, which was the one real positive. Unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I found women’s hair on the bed – a basic cleanliness issue that should never be overlooked. The biggest issue happened during checkout. I intended to call a trusted, honest taxi driver we had used earlier, but the hotel staff insisted on calling their own driver. I agreed only on the condition that the driver would offer a fixed price. Halfway to the airport, the driver suddenly doubled the fare and pressured us to pay it, falsely claiming we were going to be late. We had 5 hours before our flight and plenty of time — it was clearly a scam. I tried contacting the hotel multiple times after this incident, hoping for at least an acknowledgment, but received no response at all. Poor service, no accountability, and a lack of basic hygiene made this a very disappointing stay. I would not return and cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Hotel is very cute , rooms are small and not very clean . That floor carpet needs to be cleaned or better replaced. Food at breakfast was below average and service is ok. Front desk staff however were very nice . Personally, I wouldn’t stay there again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Just okay - Convenient for visiting the tourist sites, but wish we had stayed at a nicer hotel in Galatea and just taken the tram (which is cheap and easy) to the tourist sites. Bathtub in room leaked and flooded half the room. The room looked onto the ‘winter garden’ area of the hotel where there is a charcoal grill chimney, room always smelled very strongly of charcoal. Bed was fine but pillows are old. Rooftop restaurant has a nice view but expensive and poor food (dips were served with tortillas from the supermarket, which in a place like Istanbul which has amazing local breads, is just lazy and ripping off your guests).

- Amirali (10/5): - This Hotel is very conveniently located near Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazar. Also Public transportation is also very near to this Hotel. Staff is very friendly and ready to help.
- Thea (10/5): - Had a great stay here. Spacious room, comfortable bed, calm and quiet in the bustle of Istanbul. The shower was glorious, we visited on a freezing cold weekend and it was amazing to be so close to the sights and pop back in to warm up by the lobby fire or with a hot shower. Didn’t have time to try the restaurant or the amenities, but would still highly recommend staying here!

- Ben (10/5): - The hotel is located in the tourist part of the city, conveniently adjacent to a tram stop. It is bright and clean throughout. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with all the necessary features, including a safe. The cleaning staff were most helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and I cannot say enough good things about the waiter, who was most attentive. Also, the roof restaurant, with its splendid view of the Blue Mosque, provided a wide variety of excellent entre's. The only negative was the concierge, who we asked to set up a tour of Hagia Sofia for us, but did not inform us of some additional payments we had to make to the tour guide, after we had started the tour. Apart from this, the hotel was excellent, and I would not hesitate to stay ther again.

- Gavin Beric (10/5): - Fabulous hotel, spotlessly clean. The staff are amazing always smiling and helpful. We stayed for 7 nights in a deluxe attic room, which was fantastic. Don't be fooled by the term 'attic', it was big, plenty of room, very comfy bed, large shower room with toiletries and soft towels. A safe and fridge was in the room, bottled water every day. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.Even though the hotel was central, it's within walking distance of most of the major sites, with easy access to buses and trams for others. The area is very busy, but you couldn't hear any outside noise in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to everyone. I loved it.
- sabrina (10/5): Great Hotel, Just bad check in / wrong room - The Hotel is great unfortunately our start was everything but great as we received the wrong room and at first there was not a solution that we could accept. We did change the room the next day but again they did not give us 2 separate beds and we had to ask again as this was what we booked. after a lot of back and forth we received a complimentary dinner and were told a refund for the first night. We are still waiting for the refund??? Besides the issue and what we felt like bad check in the rest of the stay was great, breakfast staff is super nice, the spa is amazing and the locotion can't be better. I would probably chose the Sura Hotel instead of Sura Design as you have to cross the street to use the Pool , spa , garden etc.

You can also go to the other hotel where there is a pool and also have breakfast there. My only reason for 4 stars is the breakfast could be better labelled and as a vegetarian choice was limited, although they did always try. On the whole a great place.

However, the area prices are expensive especially with Istanbul inflation recently. Otherwise it was perfect if this was your first time in Istanbul. Hotel provided transportation to airport for a fee. Breakfast was included and perfect to get our day started. They have an amazing restaurant located downstairs Galeyan and it had the best manti we have ever had! Delicious! Would recommend this hotel.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and the porter provided information about getting around and highlights of the immediate vicinity. Special shout out to ilham, Sezgin and Damindo - the team from the breakfast dining room. After just one morning, they knew exactly how I liked my coffee, and that I needed caffeine even before contemplating food. A great introduction to the friendliness and attention to detail of the hotel staff, and Turkish people. The selection at breakfast was great. I also had a chance to dine at the rooftop Panorama Restaurant, with a wonderful selection of wine and local cuisine. Highly recommended and close to everything in a bustling neighbourhood.

- Amrita (10/5): - Second time in Istanbul and decided to use this Hotel and so glad I did. Great location and within walking distance to some of the main things to do. Hotel was nice and was given a free upgrade on our room. Margarita was extremely helpful and simply the best. She went above and beyond to help me get my phone back after leaving it on a transfer bus. Couldn’t help her enough
- Svetlana (10/5): - I stayed at Sura Design Hotel multiple times. I really like that it has everything in one place. Multiple restaurants, great spa, pool, roof top. Staff was polite and welcoming. And in addition to it, location is close to so many attractions. And there so many different restaurants around, some work all night long, it's very convenient.

- Marisa (8/5): A nice place - The hotel is very well situated. Walking distance to many of the places in 'old town' that we wanted to visit. Very clean. Staff interactions were fine. their breakfast offerings were varied, and tasty. The rooms on the 4th floor can be a bit tight particularly if your attic window has a sloped ceiling. Very clean. The bed pillows were less comfortable than expected but acceptable. The comforters are short for the size of the bed and could not be adjusted.

- Timothy (10/5): Another great Stay - Our second stay with Sura was another great experience. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. The location also can’t be beat!

- Ram (2/5): - Location of property is excellent but everything else sucks, our room carpet was filthy dirty, between blackened carpet to spills on carpet which were not cleaned, felt room was very unhygienic, brought it to front desk attention to get it clean before next guest arrives, room service terrible ask for ice their ice machine was broken, I have seen better motel 6 then this 5 star hotel,

- Kathleen (10/5): - Our first visit to Istanbul and we spent 5 nights at this fabulous, centrally located hotel. Well looked after by the staff, esp. Burak, Òzay and Aden, who really went out of their way to answer our queries, arrange outings and in general, make our visit a real pleasure. Thank you. Btw the buffet breakfast is EXCELLENT!
- Muhammed (10/5): Amazing experience - We were originally put into a room where there was constantly loud music being played from the outside restaurants but then was offered an upgrade for £60 where it was a lot more quieter and a lot bigger room. Happily took it as we were there for 5 days. The location is perfect and centralised to everything, the metro was a 2 minute walk along with grand bazar only being a 10 minute walk. Staff were all friendly and were happy to help whenever needed. The breakfast was lovely in sura design, which is a bonus as you have the opportunity to either go to Sura design or sura Hagia Sophia.
- Etleva (10/5): - The hotel was very wonderful and welcoming, the service was great and everyone was so nice and friendly. Clean environment, delicious food and such a beautiful relaxing hotel. The spa treatment was amazing and the concierge were very helpful with touristic information.

- Wendy (10/5): Perfect for Sightseeing - A lovely hotel, with very comfortable and clean rooms. We could easily walk to all the main attractions. The front desk staff especially Rezza(?) were very pleasant and helpful. I would happily stay here again.
- ANGELA (10/5): Really great stay - Really enjoyable stay. Service is very good, and location is perfect-so close to the historical sights but still mostly quiet at night so able to sleep well in the super comfy beds. Rezzak and Salma on reception were lovely! Breakfast is mainly Turkish but you can ask for eggs cooked the way you like it. Hotel very stylish.

- Nicole (10/5): Amazing location! - This place was amazing. This location was close walking distance to the main tourist attractions, but yet tucked away on a small, secluded sidestreet. You walk out the doors and there’s restaurants everywhere. The view from the rooftop restaurant was gorgeous, we didn’t eat there, But had a drink to soak up the view. What I didn’t know, is you get to use all the facilities at the sister hotel across the street. This is where the breakfast buffet and pool are located. It’s literally five steps across the street. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

- Michele (8/5): - The Sura Design Hotel was very good. The area was in a perfect location. Restaurants were excellent, concierge was great helped my friend locate her jacket at the airport lost and found. Only negative thing was my son and his girlfriend had massages at the spa and it was freezing in the massage rooms. About 35 degrees it was an extremely unpleasant service.
- Sarah Elizabeth Tamar (8/5): - We had a wonderful time for the second time this year and will definitely use the hotel for a third time if we return to Istanbul .. the little road with the two Sura hotels are a real little busy hub with all the very good restaurants and the lovely coffee shop within 20 steps and then the close proximity of the two mosques tourist attractions shops and the Grand Bazaar within a 10 minutes walk .. the hotel staff are so friendly chatty and helpful .. the house keeping lady kept our room beautifully set up and clean every day with water topped up 🙌 .. the room itself 413 was comfortable enough the furnishings and decor in the attic rooms possibly need a much needed refurbishment with a brighter colour on the walls as their quite dark and dimly lit and a better way of covering the arched windows to keep the light out would be good 👍 .. but for a 4 night stay it was fine .. we had a lovely time staying with you again thank you

- Verified traveler (8/5): Ideal location - A perfect location for a first visit to Istanbul with the incredible historic locations so very near, and with a close tram stop to get around easily. Hotel staff were really helpful and friendly, Mert Sahin helped with my check-in, he was professional, kind and very welcoming.

- Abdul (6/5): - The staff were excellent especially Selma. Made us feel very welcome! Only downside was the air conditioning, it kept turning off despite closing all doors and windows and someone kept smoking inside our building on the same level as it kept coming through the vents. It has so much potential but I dont think it is a 5 star hotel... Yet.

- Larry W (10/5): - Sura was located in an easily walkable location to most all of the activities we were interested in. The staff was phenomenal and we were always treated well. Breakfast was delicious as well. We highly recommend this hotel.
- Afzaal (4/5): - Nice hotel and good location but very rude front office member of staff called Fatih. He has no customer service and disgusting behaviour towards guest. He was shouting and abusive and also made some racist comments, not what you expect from a 4/5 star hotel. Many guests were astonished and shocked by his behaviour and unprofessional mannerism.
