Шумный кондиционер даже в режиме минимального вентилятора. Первый раз в жизни был вынужден надеть беруши, чтобы заснуть так как кондиционер очень шумный, если выключить то становится тяжко. И видно непроста отель кладёт беруши на стол. Завтрак хороший, но опять же соотношение цена качество считаю плохим.

Para o centro não é tão longe, 20 min de didi e estamos em qualquer ponto mais estratégico. O café da manhã é ótimo, atende super bem aos acidentais. O quarto é muito bem equipado, podemos solicitar tudo por tablet com atendimento rápido. Os colchões são ruins. Antigos, afundados e desconfortáveis. Precisam ser trocados para fazer jus ao todo que o hotel oferece. O café da manhã só deixa a desejar por falta de alguns alimentos, mas seleções de queijos por exemplo e máquinas de café para self service. Estivemos em época de Canton Fair, China lotada, e como servem o café na mesa fica complicado, vem trocado, errado, frio, demora.... se tivessem 5 máquinas de café espalhadas pelo salão ajudaria muito.

Then I was offered a chance to upgrade to the Deluxe Suite with a fair price. I took it and it was worth it. The only regret was not to take pictures at night. The scene was marvelous. And btw everyone there was just too kind. The Internet was not great when accessing websites outside China though. Well I focused on everything else and who actually needs youtube on vacation:) Remarkable, comfortable and unforgettable.

While I would normally choose a Park Hyatt, the location of the Andaz was hard to beat for my family, who joined me on this business trip. The hotel itself has the typical Andaz vibe—relaxed, colourful, and informal. Reception is handled via floating terminals, similar to Andaz New York. In practice, this can feel quite chaotic, and there is no dedicated Hyatt Preferred Guest check-in. Regarding Globalist suite upgrades: I was assigned a “King Bed Deluxe” on a high floor, while other rooms such as the “Loft King” were apparently excluded due to “house policies.” This felt arbitrary, and I don’t believe individual Andaz properties should be making up their own rules within the Hyatt chain. There were no further Globalist perks to speak of. My status was never acknowledged, and there were no small gestures such as welcome amenities or chocolates in the room. The “happy hour” from 18:00–19:30 is offered to all guests at the main bar. A complimentary drink is nice, but the snacks were unremarkable (nuts and cookies only). Breakfast was a slightly chaotic experience, often involving waiting times. It is clearly geared toward Chinese clientele—which is understandable given the hotel’s main customer base—but there is no table service beyond coffee, resulting in a somewhat underwhelming, non-luxury experience. If possible, sit in the more relaxed room on the left (green wall); the other room can be very crowded and has a canteen-like feel. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and motivated. The rooms (we had two) are starting to show their age: scuffed wooden furniture and walls that could use a fresh coat of paint. Be sure to request a high floor to minimise street noise. The main issue, however—and a deal-breaker for me—is the Wi-Fi for non-resident internet users. This problem has been widely reported on Tripadvisor and elsewhere, and unfortunately it is very real. With or without a VPN, the connection is either extremely slow, constantly dropping, or not working at all. I needed to work and seriously considered checking out on day one. Being provided with a private router in my room did not meaningfully improve the situation. For that reason alone, I will not return and cannot recommend this hotel. If you need reliable internet for work, stay away. Tourists are better off using an eSIM—but even then, the situation is frustrating and, quite frankly, unacceptable in 2026.

The sleek, stylish rooms are cozy with thoughtful amenities like Byredo toiletries and a complimentary minibar. Every staff member was warm, attentive and professional, offering great local tips. The delicious breakfast spread and seamless service made my trip perfect—100% recommend for a fantastic Shanghai stay!

We checked in at 5 pm and were told that one of our rooms were not ready. This is not acceptable because check in time was 3 pm. They said that the previous guests were still in the room. I would never think that this was an Andaz hospitality.

• ReachMoon (2/5): Not a pleasant stay - I gave one star for its location. Otherwise I will give it 0 star. The facility is very old. The sink and bath tub have weird light which makes it looks very dirty. The room is not clean. See the picture, this is what we found in our room. Reported to the staff however there is no one even come to apologize. I will not stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone.

• Chun Che (6/5): good location, but for the value probably will choose another property next time - i like the location, right at the center of central CBD Easy access and lots of places to visit, dine and extremely safe area I thought overall facilities including room is a bit older than I expected. For the price and location Andaz as a 5 star hotel, i had more expectation than what i have experienced. I would not revisit this property next time.

Our extra bed was already in the room when we checked in, reflecting staff’s pro-active and attentive attitude. There was some construction noise from roadwork. Management provided ear plugs without us asking.

Old room and poor quality of provided amenities e.g. towel, duvet, TV, AC We were already quite tired from the long immigration process at the airport and the check-in process took more than 30 minutes!! (I booked 3 rooms for 7 people). The assigned reception staff manually input passport details one by one - usually the standard protocol would be to photocopy the passport details for efficiency (this was what other hotels we stayed in Shanghai also doing). When the other staff members were free, no one offered to help reduce check-in workload to speed-up the process. There were no seating areas at the reception, at least we were not offered or guided to sit while we're waiting to get our room keys, so we were all standing at the small reception area for over 30 minutes. No details on the hyatt membership privilege were explained, we had to ask later (once we manage to get some rest...) The room was old and had dusty smell, some of the amenities were not of a 5-star hotel standard I experienced. Old TV and AC, cheap thin duvet and towels that would give lints all over your wet body when wipe with it. The only 2 upsides were its excellent location and well-equipped gym, then again, there's a better hotel choice right opposite, newer and similar price range.

Minden fantasztikus volt, a magasra tett mérce miatt a délutáni Happy Hour kínálata szűkös volt. A szokásos 3-5 féle falatkák helyetti chips és salsa inkább moziba való.
