- Luther (2/5): - The A/C wasn’t working at all. I tried to turn on the Controller, but Water pouring down like from the vent like Bathroom Shower. I have to Open the Window the whole night. There was all kind of Insects and Mosquitoes welcoming me. The next morning, I tried to talk to the Front desk and demand for some credit. The answer was “No”. Because I booked the hotel from Expedia. So much for the Service ! I hope Expedia could talk to them and get me a some Credit!

- David (10/5): - S33 was a great hotel for a short stay in Sukhimvit, Bangkok. The hotel staff was available 24 hours. They were very efficient and friendly and were glad to help you with any of your needs. They all performed their jobs with alacrity and pride. The room was small, but cozy with a very nice large, comfortable bed, a desk and plenty of outlets for charging your devices. The room lighting was very good and with central AC and a thermostat, you could turn your room into a meat locker if that’s the way you like it. The bathroom was quite spacious with a huge shower and a reasonable amount of counter space. The towels were large and fluffy and they provided wash cloths, too. The room was also quiet as it was away from a main street. The area is great. You are a short walk from the EmCenter mall and plenty of restaurants and bars. There are lots of shopping options, too. Overall, I would recommend the S33 Compact Hotel for your short stay in Bangkok.
- jocelynv356 (2/5): Greedy - Were supposed to have a booking for April 17-26 2025 but due to the Earth Quake that happened in this country we scared to go but they insisting there hotel is non refundable but they don't even to re booked the booking and the Expedia don't want to refund my money because of this policy. Is Natural Calamities a really valid reason but they don't want to re booked or refund my reservation.

Special thanks to staff members Mr. Anucha, Mr. Pitchaya, Mr. Tee, Mr. Prints and of course the man Mr. Is. The room was spacious and clean. I would stay here again for sure. Thank you compact 33, I'm going to miss you.
- henrygK7389LC (10/5): S33 Compact Sukhumvit rocks - While difficult to find for some Taxis, this hotel with modern, spacious rooms, breakfast included, was quite affordable, and offered a relaxing, quiet stay. Staff were very pleasant, helpful, recommending restaurants, arranging transportation, and meeting guests' needs. I acknowledge the services of the security/concierge lady at the front gate, and the efficient work of the housekeeping lady on 5th floor. I especially command SS S, front desk concierge, who was most helpful in anticipating guests' needs, and pleasantly and energetically helped guests with all their needs, from carrying luggage to rooms, to recommending activities and venues. SS S was a pleasure to watch, as he met guests at the door, assured their comfort with chairs and stools, handled the luggage diligently, and was forthcoming with suggestions and arrangements. SS S is a key ambassador for this hotel.

Breakfast is normal not quite option related to egg or veg. Staff is also good and kind.

- Inspiration757405 (8/5): Close to the action, clean room with toiletries! - This place is walking distance to many things including malls, skytrain, food options, and a park. Both room and bed were comfortable and clean. Breakfast is included and they provide various shower toiletries and accessories including robes, slippers, and soap. I spoke with Mr. Is and Mr T and they were great vibes (managers I believe). Note there's no pool here if that's something you seek. One inconvenience I experienced was the shower water temperature was all over the place. Just could not get it to stay consistent for over half a minute and required constant adjusting. Maybe it was just the room I got. Oh, and if you happen to drink the same water that they have in the mini fridge, and happen to grab theirs instead of yours then you will be charged about $2. I realized the mistake at check out and honestly - could not care any less. Well one of the receptionists seemingly made a huge deal about it. "You can't do that". "You can't swap drinks". She repeated that several times as I was telling her I drink the same one and happened to grab the wrong one. I was on a plane for 24+ hours and yeah maybe I grabbed the wrong at 3am [literally same water in every way shape and form]. They just put a little sticker on theirs. She made me feel like I did something wrong and ruined the mood at check out. They charge $2. The water at the store is $1. Could have avoided this whole paragraph by acknowledging what I was telling her instead of making me feel like a criminal over a literal $1. Who cares. Either charge me and move on, or just move on. Definitely writing that off as a cultural misunderstanding. Anyway. Just something to be aware of. The language barrier is immense with the regular employees. Just pay attention despite how tired and jet lagged you are. Probably applies everywhere outside USA. I'd still stay here again and recommend you do to.
- David (8/5): - Mr Is and Mr T (managers i believe) were great vibes. Most of the staff was great. The hotel is located in an incredibly convenient location. Walking distance to malls, skytrain, food and more. Hotel itself was clean and the room was comfortable. Robes, slippers toiletries provided. Breakfast included and it was great. An inconvenience was that the water temp in the shower needed constant adjusting. Scalding hot, frigid cold, 20 seconds in the sweet spot, repeat. I ended up telling one of the receptionists about it during checkout (didnt want to make a fuss about it) and she instantly downplayed it as me doing something wrong. They offer waters in the fridge, which happened to be the same ones I drink. They look the same other than a sticker the hotel puts on it. Anyway i mixed those up and grabbed the one they had in the fridge instead of mine which i had in the fridge. Didnt realize until checkout. No big deal right?... well that same receptionist made a huge deal. She spoke barely any english other than to tell me MULTIPLE TIMES that i cant do that and i cant swap the drinks out and i had to pay. It was less than $2 equivalent and i couldnt care less. She kept trying to insinuate that i purposely did this horrible crime and tried to cheat the system. So that was a bit annoying and left a bad taste right at check out. Anyways, wrote that off as a cultural misunderstanding. Spent hundreds of dollars on the hotel, $1 margin shouldnt be an issue to create drama.

And on leaving, they kept our lugage at no additional cost. The location is great. Some really good restaurants and massage parlors closeby. Thanks Mr. Is & Mr. Tee, and all the other staff.

All the staff, Anusha, O, Jo, Ju, Is and others are so warm, sweet and welcoming especially Mr. Tee who is the night manager there. He is always trying to go out of his way to make sure all his guests are comfortable and happy :) Everyone should look up S33 atleast once while on their trip to Bangkok for a cozy comfortable stay, big fat breakfast and calm environment:))

- Disc0vering (4/5): Misleading pictures on hotel website - S33 Compact Sukhumvit Hotel is a bygone glorious hotel. It was glorious in the past but now it's looks so dirty from the outside, no plants anymore between the corridors as shown on their website or booking platforms! The hotel entrance is pretty dark, you almost passing by this entrance from the street side. When you arrived at the entrance, there are steep stairs with approx. 40 steps which is very inconvenient when you have large suitcases with you. There are no staff to assist you with your suitcases! The main lobby with the reception on the 1st floor are approx 40 meter away from the hotel entrance. From the inside is S33 hotel still good maintained even so the interior are old fashioned. Our room 705 is spacious with good mattress but too high pillows. Bathroom is clean and large enough with good functioning shower and toilet. Again.. it is old fashion decoration. Going up to your room you need your keycard to operate the elevator. Once you forgot to bring your keycard with you, you are not able to go back up by elevator (going down no key card needed). Breakfast buffet is below average, the Asian/Western buffet is often almost empty no matter what time you arrived in the breakfast room. Item selections are very limited, no cheeses, salami, sausages, just two different cereals, pineapple jam only, artificial flavor juices tasted really awful, instant filter coffee no cappucino or espresso available, fresh fruit choices of dragon fruit, pineapple and water melon only. There are some hard mini croissants on the buffet as well and slices white bread. There are only two Asian breakfast selection, fried rice or noodles. But all these items are often empty on the buffet! The waitress /Host is genuinly kind and helpful. Always welcoming us with a nice smile. Tables are not always cleaned up. S33 hotel is sited in a busy street with a lot of adult entertainment bar, street food stalls and Seven eleven convenient shop. The MRT closest station is Phrom Phong, about 14 minutes walk. We would definitely not staying at S33 hotel again when we are back in Bangkok. Don't take it for granted those breakfast positive reviews, the reality is often not so positieve at all. We decided to stay here due the positive reviews of the offered breakfast and fine looking hotel. Unfortunately those pictures shown here at their website is misleading, those pictures were back from more than a decade ago! Don't order a cab via the reception, it will charge you more higher rates than when you call one metered cab by your self!
- PRbangkok (10/5): Great - I had a great stay here. I got the upgraded to the bigger room on arrival too, really appreciate for that. Thank you so much. The bedroom is soooo big so the bathroom and the bed. It was very comfy and quiet consider the location is next to the busy street and nightlife. The toiletries put in the bathroom is very generous and considerate. The free breakfast is so yummy and tasty, I have no doubt will stay here again.

There are convenience stores and pharmacies nearby. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to Phrom Phong BTS station. It is not suitable for families because there are bars and red-light districts nearby.

- SUTHON (10/5): The best value in Sukhumvit Bangkok - I always come too stay here when visit Bangkok for business or leisure but mostly for business. The location is in the Soi 33 Sukhumvit Road not so far from the major department stores. The room is clean and comfy bed, equiped with all amenitiies for the room, including breakfast in international foods and Asian foods. The staffs are helpful and freindly, 24 hours services, last time I arrived after midnight due to dalayed flight, but cna check in conveniently with all prepared from my advanced booking. The weakness is limited TV channels, but anyway free WIFI available in the rooms for your smart devices. This hotel is the best option for you in a good budget, while othermhotles around there are expensives.

Location is great short walk to Phom Phrong BTS and EmQuartier Mall & Emporium Mall. Starbucks, bars, massage and 7-11 all very close by Highly recommended!

The elevator key card system gave me a little trouble. I just took the stairs. The lobby is actually the 3rd floor, they failed to tell me that. I took the elevator down to the 1st floor, which was the basement. The only negative was the noise from construction going on next door.

- Lisa (8/5): Nice Location - The hotel is located in a great area and minutes away from shopping centers and public transportation. Room was cmean and had a comfortable bed. Service was great, all staff members are nice and helpful. One area to improve is the noise. The hallways echo pretty loudly making it hard to sleep or stay asleep. Maybe implement a noise rule in place during certain times.
- suth0nl (10/5): A good hotel in a budget around the prime area in Sukhumvit, Bangkok!!! - This is my business trip after 3 years of travel restriction from Covid 19 pandemic in Thailand, the hotel remained intact as before! The room is clean and well maintained with usual amenities, toilet amenitires, bed room amenities, clean bed sheet and blanket, soft pillows, but the cable TV is limited channels.Breakfast is good mainly western foods, a bit Japanese soup, and Thai boil rices. Coffee a bit mild for me! All staffs are O.K. friendly, polite, helpful. The advantage is there are many department stores within walking, including the Electrict Sky Train.

The all-important AC never missed a beat, bed ok & lots of space. The free breakfast was good & consistent with the price, & the supervisor was lovely. Staff in general were friendly/helpful & short walk to Sukhumvit Rd & those shiny shopping malls+ lots of eating options.

- Vincent (10/5): Excellent value for money/comfort - The hotel is well located near Phrom Phong BTS and EM Quartier/Emporium. The Soi is alive at night with Japanese style snack bars and Karaoke. The rooms are compact as the name suggests but well layed out and the bed is very comfortable. Great Rain shower and amenities provided. Mini fridge and hot water kettle with water bottles are a plus. Breakfast included is also a nice touch and is well served every morning. We enjoyed the hotel very much and would return soon

- Verified traveler (4/5): Travelers Beware - I booked this hotel ahead of time for a non-smoking room with buffet breakfast included for 2 nights. They give you 2 room keys that expire after your stay, 1 key has to be used like most hotels to power on the lights and air-con. 1st complaint - is that this non-smoking room not only reeked of cigarettes but also had an actual glass ashtray with a matchbook in the room!!! Non-smoking my a$! 2nd complaint - the air-con wasn’t working after being in the room with it on for 4 hours. I was told by staff to leave 1 key card in the room to leave the air-con on to cool the room upon my return. I did and left for 9 hours. I came back to a sauna, the air-con stopped working completely. Called staff and they gave me an attitude. Maintenance guy came, looked at air-con for 60 secs and said it was frozen!? Lol, what?! Night staff spoke bad to me and blamed me for turning air-con too low of setting. They refused to switch my room with a working air-con and non-smoking. They refused to refund. I never ate breakfast there. I actually left to go to another hotel that was cheaper down the street with working air-con on every setting. STAY AWAY!

- Stephen (10/5): Very convenient and plesant hotel - Only a short 5 night stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Conveniently situated for easy access to the shopping district or the entertainment areas. Very quiet room, comfortable bed. The only if small downside was that this hotel is frequented by people who smoke a lot so you have to pass a smoke screen on the way into the hotel. The rooms never smelt of smoke. A minor irritation but worth bearing in mind if you are very anti smoking. I certainly will be staying here again.

Check in/out process was very efficient. Food was average since the choice is quite limited with not so much variation. The only downside was the lobby that is located at the 3rd floor causing some difficulty for transportation and access.

- michael (2/5): buyer beware - completed reservation online with this online travel agent. received no confirmation by email or phone message. tried to follow up with hotel but no confirmation. made alternative booking elsewhere. later received a charge for one night and an email from the hotel. so they did have my email but the reservation system did not send any correspondence until after my planned stay. I spent several hours on phone calls to hotel and to this online travel agency. they simply know that they can charge and not offer any reversal of charges even thought their system is at fault. I will never use this system again. they hotel did not assist even though it clearly received payment from a faulty reservation. No one takes the blame. suggest avoiding a hotel that can not sort out a very clear fault in the reservation system. beware.

- MT (6/5): Value for money - Hotel is quite a walk in from the main street. No complaints about room, it was fairly comfortable, adequately furnished with all the amenities that you would need. Except that wifi's speed in room is a joke and does not connect automatically. Overall, a decent choice for those who just want a clean room and sufficiently convenient place. But if you are willing to pay slightly more, there are definitely better choices in the area. On my 2nd night, room air con started leaking in the wee hours and had to turn off the air con and go without it for the rest of the night. Not a good thing in Bangkok's 30 degrees heat. When I raised the issue to reception the next morning, no apology was given. Simply a "noted" response that the problem will be fixed. Rather disappointing service in this aspect. Luckily, problem was indeed fixed but a simple apology for the inconvenience would be nice.
