• Florian (8/5): - Great spacey room, very clean, comfy bed. Friendly staff. The location is great, there is a market with amazing food right next to it. The rooms aren't very noiseresistant but you get a pair of earplugs, so you still get a good nights sleep.

Free coffee at machine anytime The shower flooded the bathroom and was never fixed right. They clean with heavily scented products, so avoid if scent sensitive. Smell remained even 3 days after I mopped with water.

The WiFi didn’t work at all, despite using the correct password which was frustrating. The Tea bags were not replaced when I used them. The room did not seem to have been hoovered and I don’t think it was while I was there (3 days).

• Jaya (9/5): great stay for our Rome trip - really liked this hotel and the area it's in! clean, modern and convenient to walk or get tram/bus to all main places - and within Testaccio the market is next door as well as other great restaurants nearby. Was good to have the entry with passkey rather than remembering a physical key all the time. Staff were nice - only thing is you definitely need ear plugs at night if you're a light sleeper - they do provide some.

Die Lage ist gut, aber man muss schon ein paar Meter zurücklegen um zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu kommen. Der Markt unterhalb des Hotels ist super. Gleichzeitig war es überraschend ruhig im Hotel. Check in und Check out sowie öffnen der Türen mit dem Handy ist super. Weg zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist relativ weit.

• Bret (10/5): - Our stay was fantastic. Upon arriving early, the staff went above and beyond to get us into our room earlier, which was a huge relief after a long day of travel. The location was fantastic, with some great local restaurants within walking distance. Each day, we would walk from the hotel into central Rome, enjoying the opportunity to see local sites. Nothing to fault about the property.

V tržnici naproti hotelu skvělá pasta a pochutiny. Poloha se na první pohled může zdát složitější, ale společně s Google Maps, jsme se dostali všude hladce a rychle (tramvaje, autobusy).

L’emplacement de l’hôtel est idéal, proche de bons restaurants, du marché et des bus. La propreté et le confort de la chambre ont rendu notre séjour très agréable. Lors du check-in, une carte physique était exigée, ce qui n’était pas précisé dans la description de l’hôtel. Et Un petit souci avec la chasse d’eau à l’arrivée, mais le service client a été très réactif.

The shared areas were just as lovely: calm, clean, and welcoming. The location also worked perfectly for me, with easy access to public transportation. I got around smoothly and felt safe the whole time. I’d definitely stay here again. A great balance between comfort, design, and convenience.

• Michael (10/5): A spotless and quiet hotel in a brilliant neighbourhood with great access to the city! - Some people might say Testaccio is a little out of the way, but location really isn’t that important in Rome. No matter where you stay, you are going to have to rely on public transport regularly because Rome is so big, and the landmarks are all quite spread out. The hotel has 2-3 bus stops within a 7 minute walk that all go into the city centre practically every 15/20 minutes. There are some excellent (and I truly mean excellent) restaurants, cafés and convenient food places nearby. I can’t recommend Remo enough for pizza. Piazza Testaccio is a dream at night for a few casual drinks, and is just a short walk away. There’s also a McDonald’s just around the corner if you need something fast and convenient. The PIN number entrance for the building and room is great meaning you don’t have a key or card to potentially lose! The cold water tap and coffee machine were excellent. Free earplugs and teabags etc were a really nice touch, even though I found the area to be very quiet and didn’t the earplugs. The room was absolutely spotless with great facilities like a kettle, fridge and iron. The bathroom and shower were also immaculate with plenty of high quality locally made shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The bed was so comfortable, and the room staff were very attentive and quick. There was a great TV in the room but we didn’t actually use it. Plenty of plugs for charging devices, not to mention the USB and USB-C ports for additional devices. The balcony was great, and the shutter system was a really nice feature to ensure a great night’s sleep. I have to specifically mention the air conditioning. As an Irish couple who are used to the occasional summer day of 20°C heat, we were very concerned about the heat in the room. On the days we were in Rome, the temperature didn’t drop below 31°C. However, the AC in our room was exceptional. It meant we came home to a lovely cool room each evening where we could get a great night’s sleep. Nothing. Genuinely nothing.

Spread is limited, but it is great. Free 24hr wifi. 24hr room service. 24hr tea/coffee & beverage offers. Central to buses & trains. Safe to walk around even at midnight. Wifi kept disconnecting, not sure why. The breakfast spread can be improved with additions such as yoghurt & more fruit....You could also think of adding a little splash pool at the back especially as weather can get out of hand hot in this place.

• Tiago (8/5): Surpreendente por ver um bairro com tantos locais a viverem o dia a dia de forma tranquila e alegre - Apesar de longe do centro, rapidamente chegamos lá de autocarro (com AC que no verão é perfeito). O local tem muito vida, restaurantes bons e segurança. Vale a pena Os quartos são demasiados grandes ou então mal aproveitados. Ouvimos tudo o que se passa no corredor, era bom isolar melhor a zona das portas que dão acesso aos quartos. Mas isto são todos pequenos pormenores que podem trabalhar, vale na mesma a pena ficar neste hotel.

Un peu en dehors des sites à visiter donc prévoir un budget taxi ou marcher beacoup comme nous avons fait. Testaccio a les meilleurs restaurants non-touristiques donc c'était quand meme bien d'être dans ce coin a la fin de la journée. Peut-etre seulement expliquer ou trouver une facon de cacher le neon du thermostat la nuit.

• Eren (10/5): Excellent - I really enjoyed my stay at Sonder Testaccio. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. It also had a balcony—perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. The neighbourhood is one of the best in Rome, full of local charm and far from the usual tourist crowds. It’s a great place to experience the authentic city and enjoy some of the best restaurants around. I’d maybe expect a small gym or any other facility but I don’t mind too.

• Karen (9/5): - The size of the room and the bathroom were excellent with plenty of storage and it was nice to have a bathroom cabinet as well as drawers. Good to have a balcony but the ones on the back don't have any view but was nice to be able to have the space to sit out. There is free coffee, tea and water all day which is good to have. I didn't have breakfast so couldn't comment on that. Overall it was a good place to stay and compared to some of the prices in Rome it was good value, quite easy to access all the sights via public transport and/or walking with some nice restaurants for dinner.

• Reece (9/5): Hidden gem. - Really nice feel to the hotel. V private. Comfortable room and great air conditioning. Balcony was a bonus. Only small fault was the lack of a well let mirror to sit in front of and put your make up on. Good lighting in wet room but mirror steamy after shower.

I enjoyed the breakfast very much, and the coffee machine and water machine that was available throughout the day. Staff was always available to help with questions. I particularly liked the storage lockers available where we could store our suitcase on the day of check-out since my departure was later in the day. Also, my sister had an issue with the strong cologne of a guest staying next to our room. After bringing it up to the staff, the next day the smell was gone. Thanks to the helpful staff for addressing this promptly! Location was not very central but with a short walk you could reach public busses which takes you to your destination.

We understand this was due to Expedia not following proper marketing ethics however nothing was able to be done by the hotel as well. When we booked I picked a room that’s said King size bed room. The picture showed a normal room with a normal bathroom. So I selected it and paid for it. Upon arrive we found out that the washroom we got was an accessibility washroom and it was not fun to use. We were told to read the description of the room selection where it states that it’s an accessibility washroom however it doesn’t change the fact that Expedia used normal room pictures for that room selection. It’s a way to trick customers and then they have a no cancellation or change policy for our reservation. Expedia’s customer service was horrible and the hotel was not able to make any changes for our stay. We tried calling Expedia’s 24 hour customer service line and it kept hanging up when we tried to pick one of the many options. The hotel also tried to charge us for breakfast we never had. Overall the hotel quality was good however be wary when booking through Expedia as they will often not show exact pictures for the rooms.

• Nathan (8/5): - Nice stay in a modern hotel with great facilities. Nice 30 min walk to the main parts of Rome though there are buses close by that you can also catch. The market next door is great for breakfast. The hotel buffet breakfast seemed pricey for 15€ per person
