We booked this hotel last minute for one night after our disastrous hotel in Palermo and it totally exceeded our expectation from reservation to check-out. The staff, especially Rodrigo was amazing and super attentive. He did everything to make us comfortable. He was also so kind to offer us an upgrade after hearing our terrible hotel experience. The room was huge and super clean, there was even a complimentary bottle of wine from their own vineyard. The neighborhood was also really nice and fun to walk around. Would recommend everyone this hotel.

Good location except for restaurants. Morning and evening refreshments. Huge comfortable bed, tall windows. Needs tender loving care. Bathroom in particular; can see the wear and tear. Bathtub was warm instead of hot water, and was most uncomfortable to try and sit in. Sink had ugly cracks. Dirty terrace. No restaurant. Received misinformation about restaurants service and hours of operation, ending up walking several miles for nothing!

• flyovereuro (6/5): Prime location, but far from a 5 stars level - The hotel is in a very good location in Recoleta, a converted palacio, where we had 2 adjacent rooms for 3 nights before returning to Europe. Rooms are large and of modern design, as are the bathrooms. At this level however, one would expect a safe that can fit a laptop, and accessible power plugs (or USB connections) by the bedsides, but there is only one line of 1 power plug each of different international types at the desk, and no USB. The lighting system is a bit difficult, and as there seem to be two parallel systems we could not fully work out its operation, and also could not find a working nightlight in the bathroom, and there is no make-up mirror as a substitute. Walls are quite thin, as you can actually understand people talking in the bathroom next door. The air conditioning system works well, but the unit in the hall outside the room door was so loud, that we could hear it through the closed doors. The team was friendly, but we were the only guests at the time, so services were at a minimum, and a strange feeling of solitude prevailed. The room had likely not been used for some time, as we killed a spider in the bathroom mat when opening, and the bathroom sinks drained very slowly. The pool on the rooftop is small and not heated, and under “surveillance” from the windows of the tall neighboring buildings, so we might not have used it even on warmer days. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but a lounge and snack station in the lobby, where the front desk receptionist will serve free drinks and snacks on demand. We bought some pastries in the very good pasteleria on the other side of the street, and had it with coffee in the lobby, which was very nice. For breakfast, hotel guests are sent to the Tea Connection next door, a franchise with completely unacceptable levels of service and food quality. When we came in at 08:15 the first morning, there were only 2 other guests. The waiter took our order and then chatted with the barista for 20 minutes and they had their coffees, until they finally decided it was time to prepare a (very poor) cappuccino for us. It was served with cold eggs on toast … The friendly hotel staff offered to get breakfast to the Lobby Lounge after our first morning experience, which worked o.k. Would we come back next time in BsAs? Probably not, as the price/service ratio appears unfavorable compared to other options in the area, and facilities and service levels here are not even close to expectations for a 5-star rating. It is a nice boutique hotel with limited services in a perfect location, but more than ten years from its initial Tripadvisor badges, and when the hotel was a Relais & Chateaux member, it might benefit from a technical and conceptual make-over.

We had some bathroom leakage which they addressed pretty quickly. While they offered complimentary glass of wine daily, their selection is pretty limited. Overall pleasant stay but would stay the place is overpriced but this seems to be a common theme in Argentina.

• LaurenL484 (10/5): Algodon Mansion is a gem in the heart of Recoleta - My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at this luxurious boutique hotel, which combines the charm of a former mansion with the modern amenities expected in 5-star accommodations. The staff was outstanding, providing personal service without being intrusive. They were warm and welcoming, communicating with us before our arrival until our check-out. Rodrigo, Tomas, Franco, Giuliana, and Pablo offered excellent suggestions for places to eat and activities. If we needed reservations, they were quick to arrange them. They were also kind enough to store our luggage while we traveled to Iguazu for a few days. When we returned to Buenos Aires, our bags were waiting for us in our room. Additionally, they arranged for a late check-out on our departure day since we had a late flight home. We also enjoyed the newly renovated rooftop pool. It was small but perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom featured a large soaking tub. We especially appreciated the complimentary wine from their vineyard in Mendoza, which was always available in the lobby lounge along with delicious pastries and small sandwiches. We will always remember our first visit to Buenos Aires, thanks to the wonderful team at Algodon who helped make our stay special. We look forward to returning!

Rooms are extremely big, cleaned and elegant. Location is central to every single activity and it has great choices for restaurants: Fervor, Marcelo, and Freddo (for ice cream). This is a gem of a hotel. By the way, i am from Argentina, and know the city, and i will stay at Algodon Mansion over other big and famous hotels nearby. • Karen (10/5): - This is a beautiful property! We were met with a beautiful note as we were celebrating our anniversary. It is an older property, we had the one bedroom suite, all 1300sf. It was well appointed but the tub was old and needs replacing. The staff was friendly and attentive, they went above and beyond. We had an excursion to Patagonia that we had not mentioned and did not return one night and they surely noticed and were concerned about our safety. After a day of touring you are welcomed with your choice of wines and snacks. Breakfast was included at the restaurant next door- Tea connection. They had great recommendations for dinner, if you like italian try Sottovoce and obviously Don Julio for steaks. Would definitely stay again and many Thanks to Rodrigo, Thomas and the entire staff. Leonardo the manager was very engaging and really tried to ensure we had everything we needed. Thanks for a memorable time.

Such a welcoming place where all who work here are helping to ensure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. There are add’l nice touches the hotel provides to their guests - area off the lobby has rotating snacks and beverages throughout the day, no cost mini bar in every room, all en suite rooms, large bathrooms and more. Bonus that the property is in a great location and is walkable to many of the sights, museums, great restaurants and just exploring. Repeating how friendly and solicitous the entire team was to us everyday. I would stay here again!

• samO1536PZ (10/5): Algodon Mansion excellent for your stay in Buenos Aires - This is a really great boutique hotel that I will select on every trip I make to Argentina in the future. The staff was excellent and extremely helpful. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the bed was gigantic and just right for us. Nice touch were the complimentary breakfast. Also snacks at the bar available most of the day and complimentary wine from their vineyard in Mendoza which is also their an awarded restaurant and sports center. Tennis, gulf etc. which I hope to visit on my next trip. I highly recommend Algodon for a great stay. And the wine was very good.

• Cecilia (10/5): A luxury experience and a great location in a beautiful renovated mansion with excellent customer service - This is a beautiful boutique hotel with only 10 suites. It has a beautiful rooftop pool and the lovely bar on the main floor that included all the wine and champagne that you desired from their own exclusive winery outside of Mendoza. Franco at the front desk and Juan at the bar were amazing. They greeted you and asked you what your preferred cocktail was so that they could have it available for you whenever you wanted it. All of the staff were super professional and very amicable. Our suite was extremely large with the biggest, most comfortable with great linens bed I’ve ever experienced. The bathroom was the size of most other hotel rooms.

We will return next time. Their wines are complimentary and of high quality. You will love this boutique hotel like we did! The have an ample and healthy daily breakfast selection

• mkhollis1 (10/5): Amazing Luxury Boutique Hotel! - Our family of 3 stayed in 2 rooms of this 9-room luxury boutique hotel, and we cannot say enough nice things about it! The staff was friendly & amazing, giving us upgrades and allowing us late check-outs for evening flights. The location was great - we walked to the cemetery and lots of restaurants. Always felt safe & Uber/taxi pickup/drop off was good. Note that the amenities are within the same block (breakfast & gym), but it was not inconvenient to us. Staff communicated with me before & during our stay, so that was very nice. We also got a bottle of wine as a welcome gift, which was very thoughtful. Lovely rooms, with comfortable beds and lots of space. We weren't crazy about the rain showerhead, but the hot water & pressure were good. Don't hesitate to stay here!

• JDB78 (10/5): Perfect Home Base in Buenos Aires - Our stay at Algodon Mansion was fantastic, largely due to the top notch service. From the minute we walked in until the minute we walked out, the staff was making a concerted effort to provide us with the best, kindest service possible. Rodrigo and Leo helped us to get reservations at restaurants and find reputable money exchange locations while Juan Cruz and Vale made sure we had not only delicious drinks and food at all times, but also great conversation. We felt like they really cared about us and wanted us to experience everything Buenos Aires has to offer. The accommodations are extremely comfortable (slept soooo well in the gigantic king bed) and the new roof terrace provides a quiet, beautiful view of Recoleta. The hotel fully includes drinks and delicious breakfasts/appetizers and it's not one of those things where they hope you don't enjoy that perk. They were always asking us if we wanted a new cocktail (we became huge fans of Fernet + Coke and enjoyed several custom negronis), and there were endless bottles of delicious wine and Smartwater at all times. I do think the rooms would benefit from an update (like they just completed on the terrace), but they were quite spacious and like I said, extremely comfortable. Fantastic place to stay and huge thanks to the amazing staff. We'll go back.

• Patricia (10/5): A wonderful experience in Buenos Aires . We would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat! - The hotel is in the nicest part of Buenos Aires. The building is beautiful and the rooms stunning. Exceptionally large supremely comfortable bed and an extremely large room and bathroom. We could not have been more comfortable but what makes this lovely boutique hotel so wonderful is the staff. They could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Loved the wines from the Algodon vineyard too and all the lovely snacks! There is nothing I did not like.

The staff is exemplary in every way--incredibly accommodating and kind at every turn. Our room/suite was clean and wonderfully equipped with small details including a desk with multiple types of outlets. Breakfast, snacks, and beverages were plentiful and generous. The location is perfect--Recoleta is gorgeous, retaining a French/European vibe. There are great restaurants, galleries and shopping nearby, and it's an easy walk to Recoleta Cemetery and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Algodon's staff is priceless--truly making this beautiful hotel the perfect stay for BA. I will definitely stay here again on a return trip.
• Ritamoreno (10/5): Gorgeous hotel, generous amenities, excellent concierge services - From start to finish, our experience at the Algodon Mansion was excellent. The concierges were incredibly helpful and helped us get reservations we could not get on our own. The hotel is a gorgeous and special architectural gem which has been elegantly modernized. The room was huge (as was the "King" bed which was actually the size of two full beds sisde by side". The amenitis are fabulous-delicious snacks and treats avialble throughout the day. , gratis, as is the wine and beverages supplied in the room. Breaksfast next door ( also included) was delicious. My brother-in-law recommended this hotel and we are so happy he did. First class experinece all the way!

• Laurent (10/5): The perfect place for a great stay in Buenos Aires - For Spinal Tap's fans, their amp really goes to 11! The room was vast and extra-quiet, with a great and large bathroom, the bed gigantic and very confortable. A complementary bottle of wine (their own production), water and coffee were at our disposal in the room. There is an open bar in the lobby with beverages, snacks and fruits available at all times. The staff was really kind and welcoming, with a special mention to Tomàs, who was always available, smiling and very helpful. Finally, the location is quite practical, we could walk to all the main points of interest in Bueno Aires from the hotel. Really nothing, that was a pretty good choice.
• Tobie (10/5): Out of this world - this hotel with staff made Buenos Aires memorable - This is hands down the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve been everywhere in the world. The service of ALL the staff and especially Tomas was above 5 star. Nothing.
• robertofL1706WT (10/5): Beautiful, Relaxing, Excellent Service - It is a beautiful hotel in a great location in Recoletta. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed. The staff were very kind and attentive. A nice touch is that they had wine and snack available most of the day and evening. On the last day they were able give us a late check-out, which was much appreciated since we had a 10:25PM flight back to the United States. We will definitely will return to the Algodon.

So much better than staying in one of the big hotels in the area. We had a big walk in shower, marble. Beds comfy. Pillows not so great. Concierge is wonderful….
• Charles1Ottawa (10/5): Wonderful 10 room charmer - We were intending on spending 4 nights at this hotel but had to change our plans as a result of a family medical issue and only got to stay one night . This is a unique hotel with a unique offering. Beautiful common areas and rooms in a fully redesigned former grand home. Complimentary wines , which were excellent, and snacks in a beautiful lounge in one of the better neighborhoods in the city. Rodrigo and the rest of the staff were excellent hosts who make you feel at home. If you want a special stay that is the opposite of a bustling large hotel this is it. We will make a trip back to get the rest of our nights in when we can.
