Also has a separate shower room and toilet which is really good. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, fridge and flat screen TV. Huge breakfast buffet and multi course dinner with choices of meat, fish and vegetarian. Good wine list, great staff, nice sauna and wellness area and spacious ski room. Free parking and good location for various lifts. Highly recommended.

• Friso (9/5): Mooi, typisch Oostenrijks hotel met ruime kamers - Zeer behulpzaam personeel en ruime kamers met de skibushalte voor de deur. Ook een wandelingetje naar de ski liften is maar 15 minuten. Eigenlijk niets. Als ik dan toch iets zou moeten noemen is het alleen jammer dat er geen zwembad is, maar dat wisten we natuurlijk van te voren.

Breakfast was served bright and early to give you an early start on the slopes. And I loved the local organic juices and bread. Ski bus is stopping directly outside the hotel. Train stop circa 50m further. The only observation I could make is that pillows are in need of updating, to offer better support.

The location was unbeatable being right across the street from the ski bus and the train into kitzbühel. It was sooo easy to get around and the staff was so nice! Our room was quiet despite being at the front of the building, comfortable and cosy. Very warm welcome and very helpful hosts. Nice sauna / steam bath / wellness suite over 2 levels. Ski equipment room. Separate guest restaurant serving extensive breakfast buffet including a la minute hot choices and a 5 course dinner. Big portions as well (too big for me) and always a main choice of meat, fish and vegetarian. They were very accommodating about my fussy eating. Nice wine list. Large private car park across the road and just a couple of minutes from the centre of the village, supermarkets and the lift car parks.

Ski locker room in the basement however we did not make use of this, we made the decision to walk to the lift and paid to store our equipment there. Ski bus picks you up from directly outside the hotel door although was very busy on the first day. Food on the buffet at breakfast was of a wide variety with the option of having cooked for the kitchen as well. Dinner was a salad buffet, starter, main and dessert- you got choice of 3 for main. Again, all food was very well made. Rooms were satisfactory, slight lack of storage given all the ski gear we had but nothing too much of an issue. Beds were comfortable although would have been nice to have 2 pillows. Room was cleaned everyday and the hotel in general was very clean. Very nice stay and would return.

• iuliaelizatinca (10/5): Nice and cozy hotel - We found the hotel very cozy, the breakfast hearty and the five course dinner enjoyable. In the restaurant we enjoyed a drink after a day of skiing. There is also a very nice SPA to relax at the end of the day. The rooms are very clean and spacious enough. The staff was kind and friendly. We found the hotel to be very well located. The ski-bus stops directly at the hotel and the drive to the Brixen Gondola takes less than 10 minutes. Also there is a train station vis-a-vis the hotel offering the possibility to get to Kitzbühel in 11 minutes.

Fenster öffnen unvorstellbar, da das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Dorfstraße liegt. Mit Klimaanlage wäre es sehr gut, so gibt es Punktabzug.

• Christopher_Swede (6/5): Not as impressive any longer - I stayed with the Hotel Reitlwirt a few years ago and was most impressed (As expressed in https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g1096515-d1185165-r393483204-Hotel_Reitlwirt-Brixen_im_Thale_Tirol_Austrian_Alps.html) However, there has been a change of ownership since then and the effects are unfortunately not for the better. Really, all the points I made in my previous review are no longer valid: Now I paid extra for being single, even though it was low season and they do have a single room and the hotel was at best 1/3 full, the rebate at the Jochstub'n Alm was no longer valid, the food was OK but definitely not the culinary marvels I had experienced at my first stay and when I said I would leave very early for my trip home this was greeted with an "OK", and not an offer of a breakfast pack. Don't get me wrong here: Still is still a good hotel and I am happy to recommend it. However, it is no longer extraordinary the way it was two years ago and with 4 stars also comes rather high expectations. One thing I forgot to mention in my previous review was its close proximity to the railway station. It is very easy to take the train into another village in the valley.

You can see they are trying to take care of everything they have there-ski room (heating, separate entrance), sauna (wet,dry and well equipped). Breakfast has satisfactory selection. Dinners differ each evening (although I think they should say "4 course" not 5). Thing that showed their attitude was letting us keep the room without limit on check out day without a "fear" to say "we don't need the room". What I do recommend them is to upgrade some amenities in the room-larger TV (which is common these days), hot pot etc.

Для постояльцев доступна сауна на первом этаже, в номере есть синтетические халаты (бьются током). Приличный завтрак, в дополнение к шведскому столу можно заказать омлет или яичницу. В-целом отель заслуживает солидные три звезды с претензией на четыре, но определенно не люкс-отель. Тем не менее останавливаться в отеле было очень приятно. Отель очень удобно расположен как раз между всеми подъемами на гору. До подъемников на западе можно доехать за 20 минут, до подъемников на востоке - за 30 минут. Постояльцам отеля могут дать небольшую скидку при покупке абонемента на подъемник
• Christopher_Swede (10/5): Good service, excellent food - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Hotel Reitlwirt, in July 2016. There were not many guests so I got a double room to myself (they do have a few single rooms) which was large, had a few comfortable chairs, a balcony and lighting that made it possible to lie in bed and read before turning the lights out, something I have missed in many hotels. The food was just fabulous! Breakfast was rather ordinary hotel fare but the evening meals with 4 courses were a marvel. Service was excellent. One example of how they did the little extra: When I told then I would leave very early in the morning and did not require breakfast that day, they fixed me up with a packet so I could stop after a few hours driving and enjoy a breakfast! Very nice touch. As for anything negative, it is hard to come up with anything. The toilet and shower were in two separate rooms and there was no washbasin in the toilet room which was a bit odd. As I had the room to myself it didn't really matter. If you are skiing, it is located rather far away from the lifts. I was hiking in summer so that was no problem either. As you may see from their photos, it is situated just next to the village road but there is a bypass so there was very little traffic. I didn't notice any disturbances at all.

Vi følte alt kunne lade sig gøre: skift af hovedpude, skift fra halvpension til kun morgenmad med mulighed for at reservere bord i "krostuen" i stedet om aftenen. De tilbød selv morgenmadsmadpakke på hjemrejsedagen. Det gratis wi-fi virkede helt perfekt og jeg kunne blive ved. Vi bor meget gerne på Reitlwirt igen :-)

• VI (4/5): Enttäuschend - Das Hotel entspricht nicht dem, was ich von einem 4-Sterne Hotel erwarten würde. Unser Zimmer war sehr klein. Die Ausstattung ist spartanisch. Das ist alles sehr unbequem und gar nicht durchdacht. Man hat nicht einmal daran gedacht, dass man das Telefon irgendwohin stellt, so dass man bequem sitzen kann und dabei telefonieren (war nur möglich im Bett). Das Frühstück war OK, aber auch recht einfach und eine einfache kleine Auswahl. Wieder, nach meinem persönlichen Geschmack, von einem 4-Sterne Hotel hätte ich etwas mehr erwartet. Ich wurde dauernd aufgeweckt vom Putzpersonal. Die Wände sind sehr dünn! Außerdem hatten wir kein "Do Not Disturb-Schild" zum Aufhängen. Und die Putzdamen konnten nicht wissen, ob wir da sind oder nicht und wollten rein. So musste ich aus dem Schlaf aufstehen und ihnen mittteilen, dass ich noch weiter schlafen will. Das Internet auf dem Zimmer (WLAN) war sehr langsam! Gerade mal ausreichend, um Emails zu lesen. Für den sehr hohen Preis für das Zimmer (>100Eur), fand ich das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sehr schlecht. Das liegt sicherlich auch an der Saison (wir waren zum Ende der Hochsaison, eigentlich Nebensaison für Skifahrer). Dennoch es ist zu teuer für das, was man bekommt. Fairerweise muss man sagen, die benachbarten Hotels waren nicht günstiger für diese Zeit (nach meiner Recherche). Zu diesem Preis würde hier nicht nochmal übernachten wollen. Allerdings wenn man nicht so viele Erwartungen hat (4Sterne), das Hotel ist absolut in Ordnung!

• PatrickM682 (10/5): An enjoyable meal and evening in the Hotel Reitlwirt Restaurant - If you are visiting Brixen im Thale in the Austrian Alps in winter or summer treat yourself to a meal at family run Hotel Reitlwirt. We were there last week with friends from the nearby village of Westendorf. Two of us had Zwieblerostbraten (a local dish) which was excellent; two more of my group had Forelle (pan fried trout), which by their account tasted as good if not better than any they had had before. The trout was fresh from a lake above the hotel on the Hohe Salve Mountain. The woman of the house was most attentive and attractive in her traditional local dress; our meals and drinks were served with charm and conviviality in traditional Tyrolean Stubl; a most enjoyable evening.
• 383erind (10/5): Wonderful place in the alps - This guesthouse was an absolute delight for our family of 4 (2 teenage children). There were no family rooms available, but the rates were reasonable enough to book 2 rooms. Rooms were spotless, beautiful and spacious, the breakfast was delicious (the owner makes the best cappucino I had in my whole 2 week European trip) and the staff were incredibly helpful. Hiking the alps is easy right from the door of the hotel. Plenty to do in the area (hiking, biking, swimming) and great beer gardens and restaurants throughout the town. The hotel had a pristine sauna area and a small workout room. A very authentic feel to the whole area. Plus, there was even a trampoline and a table tennis table for our kids to enjoy. Would stay there again if we ever go back and would recommend to anyone traveling to Austria. The favorite part of our whole two week trip!
