- Ronald (10/5): - The Albinas Hotel Old City far exceeded our expectations!! From check-in to check-out we can’t fault anything. The room was exceptionally clean with all the typical amenities one would expect. The area around the hotel was extraordinary good for access to excellent food, shopping, and sites. We were even within 5-10 minute leisurely walks to several iconic Istanbul symbols like the exquisite Blue Mosque and the incredible Hagia Sofia! Also within walking distance was the immense Grand Bazaar. There was literally something excellent to experience in every direction we walked. As well we took a wonderful three hour Bosphorus Strait tour that was arranged through the hotel and we were picked up at the hotels front door in a bus and drove to the boat - then back. The breakfast in the spotless indoor terrace was fantastic with so many choices and there were a few new choices each day. The absolute highlight of the hotel were the incredible staff. Every one of them could not have been more friendly, kind, gracious, and above and beyond helpful. They all will be part of our perfect memories of this hotel and this amazing city! Special shout out to our new cat friend that greeted us on the steps of the hotel every morning.

It has a cozy environment, but most importantly the receptionist who's name was Eren was very patient, friendly and helpful with all our inquiries. Which is so important when you're in a new city. Also the lady who was working in the kitchen called Makbule, was very welcoming too and we had some delicious authentic Turkish breakfast. Overall definitely recommend this place.

If you want to be calm and sleep in your holiday mornings, you will not avoid cleaning sounds from the corridors or other rooms to be fixed, even if your own roomwill be left for another time. Although a few blocks away from Blue Mosque and all major attractions, walking to get there is not a good choice as sidewalks and pavements are not ADA-compliant as in the USA, there are no marked crosswalks and Stop signs for safe crossings of uphill streets. Regular shuttles by the hotels could be provided as an option for the elderly,

Took a couple of days to resolve which was inconvenient especially at night. Roof top was lovely and never busy ( no bar ) staff had no issues with us taking our own drinks though. Room was a tad small but had everything and the beds were very comfortable. Great location for the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia as well as the Grand Bizarre although we found that very over rated. All in a very nice spot to start for a short break to Istanbul . Some of the restaurants locally were very average though food was much better in Kadikoy and a lot cheaper. Thank you to Furkan and Gosiki for arranging our Taxis to and from the airport.

The water pressure and temperature in the shower, were excellent. The only issue that we had, was that the "smoking area" was just outside our window, and our room often smelled of smoke.

Hotel staff steered us to a good neighborhood restaurant. The room that we had was small, but adequate.

Breakfast place is lovely at the roof top but it could be better if there can be some variety on alternative day. Feeling safe to walk back hotel at midnight. Both airports are 40-60 min by taxi for around TL160 each way using tunnels. Would definitely return if I ever visit Istanbul again.

Our rooms are in 2nd and 3rd floor and both rooms are quiet at night. The location is very central, blue mosque, Sofia church, Tokapi, underground cistern are pleasant walk from hotel. We use tram a lot and it’s only 15min walk from hotel. We feel safe walking back to hotel at midnight from tram station. Taxi to SAW airport is only 40mins using tunnels. I did not give 5stars because ours rooms are in different floors, breakfast is the same everyday and I had cold shower on the first night due to unstable electricity supply.

It is a nice, fairly new hotel but calling it a 4-star hotel is a bit of a stretch.

- Radzho (10/5): Amazing hotel! Newly remodeled everything is new! - It was our first time visiting Istanbul as a couple. This hotel was one of the few good ones you can find there. It’s clearly is a gem. From the day we arrived there the staff has helped us from checking into our super clean room. They have helped guide us with where to go what to see and how to get there. When it comes to the hote I want to start by saying it has been just recently remodeled so everything inside is brand new. Has an elevator so that’s a bonus. The rooms are spotless no dust or bugs. Really pleasant place to stay as a family or a couple they have spacious rooms. Definitely underpriced and definitely worth it. Sheets and pillows were smelling fresh everyday. You can ask staff anything and they will run to you with every way they can to help you. Amazing breakfast which is included in the room pricing. You have to try their breakfast to get a feel of what a real Turkish breakfast is like. We loved staying here and when we come back we are definitely going to book here again.
