- Karen (9/5): excellent location, cozy room, friendly staff - Two aspects of the Hotel Fita stand out: the friendliness of the breakfast staff, and the coziness of my single room. It was like a nest. The hotel is steps away from the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, and also the tram. I was grateful for the stolpersteine (memorial plaques) in front of the hotel, honoring Jews who were taken away from this former home. I was humbled to know this. The price of this modestly-furnished hotel startled me, but the excellent location justifies the cost.

Two blocks from Van Gogh museum, almost directly behind the de luxe Mandarin Oriental Hotel, my room was street level ie down one flight from reception, had a large window that opened easily. Had to close the curtains to change, but it was nice to be able to check the (very changeable) weather before going out. Room wasn't large but considering the location, better than expected and bathroom was spacious. Several steep steps at hotel entry, but an elevator to reach all room floors once inside. My room had one small step up to bathroom fyi. No fridge, good coffee machine, EXCELLENT BREAKFAST! Super nice breakfast staff <3 Location made it easy to meet up with friends, and easy to use nearby trams, walkable to the Leidseplein area full of smoky loud latenight pizza & bars, and a great little 24hr late night convenience store Night Shop. Easy walk to the museums and a grocery store Albert Heijn just past the Van Gogh/modern museums for grab & go meals and snacks. Nice restaurant about two blocks to the right and one? block left, Sama Sebo for rijsttafel. Tea in the Conservatorium at the Mandarin Oriental 18 Euros from 1 to 4pm, coffee or tea with a savory and a sweet bite, or club sandwich/hamburger 27ish Euros. Got a decent rate at Hotel Fita a few days in advance of my trip- not inexpensive but significantly less than other in-town hotels at a busy holiday weekend. Great stay!

- Kathleen (9/5): Would definitely stay here again because it’s located in Museumplein and it was easy to walk to the Rijksmuseum and seve - It’s close proximity to the tram and to several museums. The beds were so comfortable! Glad that it had an elevator but there are steps going up to the reception area. Would have liked to have been told about the snacks and beer and soft drinks that were for sale on the basement level but no one informed us of this! We discovered that when we mistakenly took the elevator to the basement level. Lovely breakfast area down there as well but we chose to grab coffee and a snack when we were walking around the area.

- Saija (7/5): Nice hotel but expensive, accessibility issues should be informed very clearly - Central location, own terrasse, nice breakfast It would be very useful for guests with any reduced mobility to know that the entrance stairs (outside & inside, with a door between) are steep and the handrail is set low and the actual hotel stairs are very steep! The elevator is tiny.

Good coffee and fresh fruit juice. All staff very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.We felt very welcomed by everyone. Honesty snacks and bar a great idea.Cool water and bowl of sweeties in entrance hall a nice touch. Nice quiet location, 2 mins from Van Gogh museum and easy to get to tram and bus stops. Flights of stairs were quite steep, but the lift was available so not a problem.

Some areas of the room were poorly cleaned. Other areas (especially in the bathroom) were never cleaned. Bed linen was also not completely clean. Room facilities were on the old side.

There wasn't a person stationed at the front desk. When I rang the bell, someone came out right away to check me in. It was fine, I just didn't know about it in advance.

The beds were great, the bathroom spacious and good water pressure. And they have a lift! I would come back here in a minute!! Loved it but really it was the people they employed that made it so special. Being so close to the museum was a plus and the fance shopping just a vlock away! Can't think of anything, i loved the place.❤️

The front door was next to the room and we heard people coming in and going out. Having stayed at Hotel Fita many years ago, it was not nearly as friendly as in the past. Shout out to Thos who ran the breakfast area. He was kind, helpful and engaging.

Nous avons détesté la chambre : rideaux troués, chambre au rez-de-chaussé face à une aire de jeux pour enfants, plafond en dalles de faux-plafond abîmés et avec des trous, isolation phonique inexistante (on entendait chaque porte qui se fermait et l’eau de la salle de bain de la chambre d’à côté), équipements de salle de bain moisis.

One nights are beds were not made even tho we left the sign, which tho is something small, we did pay quite a sum so would expect this to be done.

- agnes (9/5): Geweldig hotel - We werden hartelijk ontvangen bij de receptie We kregen een upgrade naar een grotere kamer. De ruime lichte kamer heeft een heerlijk kingsize bed. De kamer en de badkamer waren uitzonderlijk schoon. Door de rustige ligging van het hotel betekende dat het heerlijk stil was in de ochtend. Het opstapje net achter de voordeur is verradelijk. De stoelen op de kamer zijn niet zo comfortabel om tijdens een regenachtige dag te zitten

Slightly dated and the window/balcony door kept blowing open but staff showed us that if you slam it closed with a lot of force, it remains closed.

Des petits bonbons à la menthe et des petites gaufrettes vous attendent dans la chambre pour vous accueillir, ce sont des petits gestes appréciables. - Nick (10/5): - Upon arrival the staff was great, informal but very accommodating. Our room looked over the streets so we could see everyday life. The location is fantastic! A short walk to the Rijksmuseaum and the Van Gough museum, and next to tram lines into the central city. We really fell in love with Amsterdam. Staff even did 2 loads of laundry for us at very reasonable price (10 euro per full bag). No co.plaints whatsoever!

- Sara (8/5): - L'emplacement est génial au pied des musées et dans un quartier très agréable à explorer. Le personnel de l'hôtel est adorable et très réactif. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent. La chambre avait besoin de travaux : prises électriques ne fonctionnant pas ou se détachant du mur ; lunette des toilettes branlantes ; sèche-serviettes complètement rouillé (c'est la 1re fois que je vois ça dans un hôtel : il ne faut pas exagérer quand même). Il n'avait qu'un chevet de lit,, ce qui n'est pas très pratique.

Viešbutis papildomai ima 150 eur depozitą, kas labai nemaloniai nustebino. Kambarys buvo aptrintas, nors švarus. Pro langą pūtė vėjas, šildymas įsijungė tik naktį. Duše sugedęs temperatūros reguliavimas- tad bėgo tik verdantis vanduo- nusipraust praktiškai neįmanoma. Pasiskundus, patikrino, tačiau problemos neišsprendė.

The room was clean and comfortable room with a great attached bathroom. Very nice breakfast, the pancakes made by Ms.Lamiya were fabulous. Unfortunately was there for only a day, would have loved a longer stay. Will certainly visit again. Nothing to dislike
