Guest Reviews
- petwrite (2/5): Hotel off to a bad start! - We had this hotel booked from Saturday, 15th November to Tuesday, 18th November. With a month remaining before flying out of Perth, I made a call to confirm the booking. They cancelled the booking, reporting that they were going to be closed for business.
No communication at all between the hotel and Flight Centre, or me, regarding this development. The scary thing is, if I had never made the phone call, wouldn't someone have contacted Flight Centre or me in time to not only get a refund but also book another hotel?
This is an unacceptable service, and the hotel should have communicated the financial difficulties well in advance.
Fortunately, with help from Flight Centre, another hotel was able to be booked for the same dates.
- Fearless209273 (10/5): Great hotel with great service. - This is a great hotel. It offers the standard things, e.g., reasonable sized rooms, a pool etc. However, the staff really make the stay! Nothing was too much trouble for them and the staff really went above and beyond to make our stay in their hotel (and Singapore) a great experience!
- A7993 (10/5): A Fantastic Location - A fantastic hotel, located in an area where everything is close, or just jump on the MRT.
Jasmal the concierge was a wealth of knowledge, and always greeting with a wide smile.
All amenities great!
- 291oliviat (8/5): Convenient Location - Great location and reasonably priced.
A 2-night stopover on our way to Africa, and it was perfect for our needs.
Comfy beds, good-sized room, breakfast was okay, not a lot of western options but still good. There's a servo next door, which is handy.
The pool was refreshing after walking around Singapore all day. Do be careful, though, as I slipped on the steps walking in, and apparently, I wasn't the only one!
Overall a good mid range hotel.
- TigerRh (10/5): A Missed Opportunity ! - The older part of the hotel is slightly tired but clean, well maintained and perfectly adequate.
The staff are friendly helpful and excellent.
The opportunity to leave your luggage on check out day and book a free room to shower and change later in the day is a game changer, they don't advertise it enough.
The real missed opportunity is the beautiful pool, which is a little tricky to find but spotless and absolutely perfect on a hot afternoon, but why no bar or use of the area for the restaurant ?
- 251valk (6/5): Friendly but tired - We have stayed at this hotel in the past, but it's not as good as it was, the staff were quite friendly but we got there quite early so had to wait till 2pm to checkin which is a bit much when your are very tired, the rooms are clean but a bit dated, also we had breakfast included but it was mostly Asian, so didn't have a great choice
- stephanietA1898PX (6/5): Pleasantly surprised - The hotel decor was tired and dated.
The customer service and friendliness of the staff was consistently good. The hotel room was comfortable, clean and serviced well.
The breakfast wasn’t special. The location of the hotel was close to Clark Quay and there are many good places to eat in Robertson Quay.
We appreciated the use of the hospitality room to shower and change before catching our midnight flight.
- B5299JMliamb (10/5): Brilliant customer service! - This place was simply brilliant
We had an overnight flight from London, we arrived just after 11am and they were fantastic at giving us a room straight away. They asked if we would prefer city or pool view. We opted for pool so we had a quieter room. The room was very large. Bright and was spotless. Newly installed bathroom suite. Cleaned daily to very high standard.
Reception staff very friendly. We had flight documents needing printed and this was no problem. The arranged taxis for us when required.
Breakfast was lovely each morning. Always something to eat no matter your preferences.
Concierge really is absolutely brilliant. George is a true asset to the hotel. He can't help you enough. He gave us hints and tips where to go and gave us a very useful MRT train map. With him and that map I never got lossed or ended up on the wrong train thankfully. (Thanks George for a wonderful time) he is so friendly welcoming and helped us with our many questions.
The hotel isn't the newest or most modern, it's more like an older diamond!
We would love to return again, when in Singapore in the Future!
Thanks to all who made our trip so special.
- Allan (4/5): - Paid for a deluxe room and got put in a box room in the anex that was dirty and small. Eventually got the room i paid for the next day with a bowl of fruit apology but by then it ws too late
- Y2154OElindal (8/5): Great Hotel, perfect location - Room large and had adjoining door to family next door. Initially thought not enough sockets but extension leads found in bedside drawers!. Breakfast had good choices of both Asian and European. Staff friendly and helpful when needed. Location quite central with Clarkes Quay (Bars & Restaurants) only 10-15 minutes walk.
- Marina1689 (8/5): Decent Hotel, Clean, Good size Pool, Walking Distance to Clarke Quay - Stayed for 3 nights beginning of March. The room was spacious enough for 3 people. The bathroom was a bit annoying in the sense if you are sat on the toilet and your child or partner opens the bathroom door they will literally hit your legs.
There was a small extension socket in the bedside table drawer which was in between the 2 beds. You couldn't close the drawer if you needed to charge your phone.
They provided free water in the room. The reception ladies were almost forcing us to pay for an extra bed for my 11year old when we arrived. On the hotel voucher is stated children stay for free if sharing existing bedding so why wasn't I given the option to share rather than force me into paying an extra 300sgd for the extra collapsible bed?
After they saw we weren't pleased at being surprised with this extra cost they then suggested we go upstairs and check the beds. If we thought it would be ok to share then there was no need to pay anything (which we didn't). I personally don't mind sharing with my child but it was a single bed so wont be ideal for everyone.
The pool area was a little run down, we used it once in the morning and there was nobody else around. They had showers/changing rooms and pool towels there.
We didn't have breakfast or use the onsite restaurant so cant comment on that.
They do have luggage storage and the concierge staff were kind although not all of the staff there speak good English which was ok with me.
You can walk from there to Clarke quay in probably 15minutes along the river path which was nice. Singapore river is opposite the hotel.
If I ever return to Singapore I would probably give the hotel a miss only because of the location as in the heat I didn't always enjoy the walk so would choose something closer to marina bay or boat quay etc.
- Colin7t3 (10/5): Great hotel in an amazing city - Hotel in a great location, not far from the Havelock metro station. Close enough to the action, but far away enough to get a good nights sleep. Bedrooms spacious with a good size bathroom with luxury toiletries. Staff friendly, breakfast sets you up for the day. On the route for the Hop On Hop Off bus. Plenty of restaurants in walkable distance.
- Cruiser08363119496 (4/5): High expectations, poor service - - Room lacked power sockets, if you needed to charge devices or use the jug, it was one or the other
- Bath/shower was falling apart and in need of repair
- Sink plug was broken
- Lights went out occasionally above curtains
- Staff were standoffish and rude, particularly during checkout (especially Diana)
- I paid the damage deposit on arrival (the website advises this will be refunded), I am still waiting on the refund to come through
- I left my bags in storage during the day, when I went to to collect, the manager wandered back to the counter and completely ignored me until I got his attention asking if I could collect my bags
For the price I paid, I would recommend staying elsewhere and think it’s a stretch labelling this place a 4 star.
- Akosita (10/5): - Very clean and room is spacious with comfortable beds. Would love to come back to this hotel
- Dave (10/5): Cleanliness - Super clean room
- Dave (10/5): - Fully Satisfied
- 624lynm (10/5): Singapore Stopover - We stayed at the Miramar Hotel on the way to and from a holiday in Australia. The hotel was just what we needed after a long flight from Paris, soundproofed and with blackout curtains. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is good and there is a nice bar. Special thanks to the bell team for helpful advice, taxi arranging and good baggage storage (pre-flight), they were always on hand to help.
- Companion37604154710 (2/5): Bad services + Room - Incident #1: The front desk staff is unfriendly, which makes for poor service.
1. When checking the type of room upon check-in, the front desk staff's response is really rude and unfriendly. 2. I am not permitted to bring my bags into the breakfast restaurant. I had to place it in front of the restaurant as a result. But when I went back to get it, it was gone. Quickly ask the bellman (elder uncle) and the front desk for assistance. But instead of offering assistance, their initial reaction was to criticize the consumer for leaving the suitcase unattended. They're all pointing the finger at me for leaving the bags unattended. and I informed them that there was no bellman there and that luggage was not permitted. They simply don't listen.
Incident #2: Both the TV and the room are fairly small. really outdated setup and design. In addition, the water pressure in the shower head is extremely low. The water heater isn't working properly.
Incident #3: There is little variety in breakfast, and the cuisine is not very good.
I had a terrible overall experience over my three days and two nights there; it was only worth three stars overall, despite being rated four.
- angelalN6579OW (6/5): Average - Location is great, close to rail, river and China town.
Breakfast menu had a wide selection and delicious.
Unfortunately the service at front desk on arrival was very poor, unwelcoming and unhelpful if your first timers to Singapore. There was also a significant hidden charge we weren’t made aware of. Can’t fault the friendlyness and warmth from the rest of the staff.
Bed was comfy although the room and bathroom really needing updating.
In summary would stay in same location, different hotel.
- F6019QLjuliet (10/5): Hotel stay - Great location, easy use of public transport from hotel. Warm welcome especially George from concierge very helpful. Rooms good clean and tidy only no book in room to tell you of the facilities available. Tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water with toiletries in the bathroom. Fern tree cafe staff friendly and courteous and buffet breakfast served.
- Ishwar (10/5): - Not much food options
- Oliversarmy77 (10/5): Good value and excellent service. - We stayed for 6 nights for the grand prix. The hotel room was large and clean and comfortable with a fridge, good shower and kettle. The hotel has a launderette too which we found useful.
The food and drink were good value compared to bars & restaurants outside. We used the Japanese and International all you can eat buffets which were both a very good price for singapore- especially the unlimited wine and beer package. The food was very good in both. Breakfast was buffet style and catered for many nationalities but we enjoyed trying different foods. There are also 2 seafood restaurants in the hotel we didnt try, so lots of good eating options in the hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks to chef Roy in the Ferntree buffet who explained Indonesian and Singapore cuisine to us and made us delicious laksa.
The hotel position is good. Bus stop is right outside, Mrt station is 5 minutes walk away, but it's a lovely 30 minute walk along the riverside to central Singapore. Lots of bars and restaurants and shops along the riverside including Clarke Quay.
We would definitely use this hotel if we return to Singapore.
- Gregory (6/5): - When I came in around midnight one evening, I requested four bottles of water. I was paying More than US$300 per night, but the staff at the desk told me that I was limited to one bottle of water. I was able two negotiate two bottles, but this is just silly and bizarrely cheap. It’s a small thing, the bottle of water may cost the hotel $.25, but this cheapness makes it poor impression and I think the hotel management needs to improve their practices. Also I asked to extend for a few hours and making payment at this hotel is very complicated and takes a long time. The room is acceptable in the hotel food was decent, but I’m not eager to stay at the Miramar again.
- feltonese (4/5): Let down - I haven’t left a property review in years but felt like I needed to advise of our experience staying recently (August)
Prior to arrival we reached out to see if we could be cheeky and ask for a room upgrade as we had just got engaged. At check in they let us know they were able to accomodate. When we got to the room it was 2 single beds and if this was an upgrade.. I would hate to see lead in room type. They said they were not able to give us a king and wait 12 hours till they had an idea. This problem was fixed so and ended up in a king bed but again the rooms are really dated and pretty ugly.
Our bathroom shower drain was blocked it would take 15 seconds for the bathroom to be flooded and it was great to get back at midnight to find no hot water… never had that at a 4* hotel before.
We had to beg for the pool to be opened because of weather (it hadn’t rained in over 2 hours)
TV’s are tiny with terrible connection.
Location is ok, we used grab to get around.
Breakfast is great and amazing value!
Bed are comfy but having some extra blankets would have been nice:
Just a really really disappointing end to the trip and regret paying as much as we did for a pretty disappointing outdated hotel
- Damon (6/5): - Perfectly adequate for our stay. Hotel is a bit tired looking but rooms were fine albeit shower was changing temperature all of the time.
- jjenn465 (10/5): Mirimar good choice. - Friendly staff very helpfully. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Buffet for evening meal was really good . Walking distance to esplanade on the river. Heaps of eating places along the the esplanade. Plus night boat rides, entertainment. 15 min walk to. Shopping centre. You can eat very cheap there. China town 20 min walk heaps of bargains. For food and souvenirs. Taxi not expensive. Depending on the time of day peak hour or not. Between 10 dollars and 12 to China town. 10 to shopping centre .
26 from Changi airport. 15 dollars going to garden by the bay. Lots to see wether walking , taxi or public transport. Buses leave the Mirimar to orchard rd, Sentosa.
China town . Loved our 7 day stay before going on a cruise.
- Glenda (8/5): - This property is in a great location. Close to Boat Quay and ATM’s just a couple of minutes away.
Rooms aren’t huge but are comfortable with a good shower. Only con, not enough power points.
- davidsusan2018 (8/5): Great for a stop over - I noticed a few bad reviews for this hotel on here but in my experience, it wasn't that bad. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel and this one isn't that but it was clean, staff were helpful and it was easy to get to especially with the new metro station close by. I didn't eat here so I cannot comment on that but for a convenient Singapore stop over it was great.
- Kaibin (10/5): - The hotel is excellent and inexpensive
- Erandathie (6/5): - Clean hotel. Convenient location. Need some improvement to the services.
- M7079EDandrewd (2/5): Poor and won’t be booking again - The hotel is outdated both in facilities and staff attitude. Key points.
Despite asking for a couple of hours extension to check out on arrival, nothing has noted and when I did discuss, for 3 hours it was more than 50% of what I paid for the daily rate. They even called me 1 minute after the time to hassle me to check out.
The bar area had 2 TV’s and despite only 3 people in the bar, they refused to consider changing the channels. If like me you don’t drink alcohol, there are no 0% beer/wines or spirits available, just sugary fizzy drinks.
The gym pictures on the website do not represent the gym at all which is a small window less room with limited and very outdated equipment.
Toilet paper was ridiculous thin and uncomfortable to use - bath towels also thin and not of great quality
Overall very disappointed as this was a hotel recommended by British Airways and does not meet the high standards I would have expected.
- Mary Jane (10/5): - Customer Service is superb!
- Jane (8/5): - Close to MRT station and 20 min walk to Chinatown. Clean and tidy however no pool towels or hand towels.
- Tuck Foo (8/5): Value for money - Location is very convenient. Only set back is the hotel never provides any hand & face towels
- JanetR676 (10/5): Customer service was Fantastic. - We did not stay at this Hotel but we wished we had booked in here.
Our hotel was nearby but the food service , and customer service there was below par.
So we went looking elsewhere to eat.The staff at the Miramar were wonderful.
They helped us find a tour, showed us how to get around.
The best thing was how delightful they were in letting us eat breakfast after closing time.
Thank you to Richard. An extremely delightful and helpful young man in The Fern Tree Cafe.Welcoming us to the dining area.
Congratulations to the team there. We did appreciate all your help.
Well done.
- Teck Boon (10/5): I would recommend it - We stayed as we were having home renovation and we needed a place to stay. The hotel was old but clean. It also provided us with a good night’s rest and was near to Robertson Quay. For the price we paid I thought it was a good deal.
- James (10/5): - All great
- cherylboland45 (10/5): Excellent - 3 star hotel, room was clean, clean fresh bedding & towels, attended to each day.
Safe, kettle, tea & coffee provided but only cream sachets, just ask for fresh milk. Usual toiletries provided.
Staff were friendly and accommodating at all times, special mention to “George” whose professionalism, friendliness, willingness to assist went above and beyond at all times, George you are an asset to the Miramar!
Breakfast was good, catering to mainly Asian preferences which was to be expected, very surprised that not once was bacon provided as an option, did get it once when I asked and staff were very quick to get me some.
Has a large pool on the 4th floor, there is no service provided to the pool area, very enjoyable none the less.
Hotel is well situated being in walking distance to Robertson and Clark quay, bus stop right out the front, public transport system is brilliant!
Taxi was able to be called quickly for us at any time and we never waited more than 3 or 4 minutes (note we were charged a fee of $2.20 or thereabouts for calling the taxi)
Wifi was good whilst we were there.
This is not a resort hotel like you would find in Bali, it is more like a business hotel but we were very happy and would recommend this hotel.
- Mobile19179225968 (8/5): Marvellous Miramar - The Miramar is a very clean, quiet and comfortable hotel in a good location. It is a very easy slow stroll along the riverside into Clarke Quay or a 3 to 5 minute walk to the subway. Everything was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. As a vegetarian, the food was wonderful and it is nice to have choices.
- Geoffrey (8/5): - This is an older property, but the location is fantastic as it’s very near to the Singapore River - Robertson & Clarke Quays with tons of dining options.
It’s also right next to a bus stop & a short distance from Havelock MRT.
The rooms are a decent size with solid beds & they make sure that the AC in the lobby is set 25-30 degrees cooler than outside, which is *awesome* if you’re someone who's not used to the heat & coming inside after walking around on a hot day …of which there are many here!
- Md (2/5): BEDBUGS - We stayed for 2 nights and our room was 822. We were bitten all over our body. The itchiness got worse when we got home. Omg this is the first time we experienced this. Its itchy! It has gone from bad to worse for my girlfriend in Indonesia. We didn’t see it but for sure there were bed bugs all over the bed, crawling on our skins devouring our blood. Yucks!
- George (10/5): Hope it highlights problem for hotel. - The thing that spoilt our stay was workers digging up the road before midnight & making it good half way through the night. This happened for several nights. Do not know why we were not asked to change our room. Coming back to hotel when flight was fully booked helped us understand the lovely hotel. We should have changed our room but do not understand why staff did not solve the situation & change our room earlier in the week. Have always come to stay in the Madeira Hotel through the years. So guess we will be back & hope the road workers aren’t around.
- Craig (6/5): - The room photos were nothing like the room booked and the aircond hardly worked.
- debg951 (8/5): Good value, mid range hotel - Short four night stay. The location was great, MRT about a six mins walk away making everywhere accessible. The room was spacious and well kept though a little tired, but we don’t spend lots of time in the room gazing at the fixtures so not overly concerned, everything was functioning. Air con worked well, over bath shower with good pressure. Pool area very tired but enough for a quick dip after a hard day sightseeing. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, available until ten, they were prompt at closing service but we were up early each day to make the most of the city.
- Sarlina (8/5): - Cozy
- SandyH301 (4/5): Crying out for refurbishment - From the moment we received a very rude welcoming from the reception staff we knew we had made a poor choice. The hotel is very, very tired, in need of a refurbishment. Middle management seemed to be around in numbers, but not many staff actually working. The pool area looks tired, pergolas needing painting, lawns not mowed, the jacuzzi looked like it hadn’t operated in years, complete with plants growing out of it! Not in a great location for tourists- while a bus is close, the subway is a ten minute walk and more often than not, you will need to change lines to get anywhere on the tourist trail. Close to Robinson and Clark Quays which have turned into tourist traps, expensive and very tacky, very disappointing.
- Malcolm (8/5): Last here 23 years ago - Lovely staff, nice pool and central to everything. Nice breakfast.
- Leo (6/5): - great location
- Frank (10/5): - Havelock Road at River Valley Area is simply a central convenient to a lot of key urban areas in Singapore. You can't go wrong picking a hotel in this area.
- Daniel (8/5): - Well located, central, near metro station.
- Xavier (8/5): - I stayed for a few weeks in this hotel 10 years ago and had a good memory of it. Unfortunately, the hotel looks now 10 years older.
Still a good value for the price with a great staff, and the area is great.
- Paul (6/5): - Room was generally clean and well presented but bathroom needed tiles cleaned in grout
No hand towels or face washers nor could they provide any?? Very bad practice
- Shirley (10/5): Singapore quick visit - Very comfortable
- Inbarajan (8/5): - Friendly staff and helpful
- Gordon (10/5): - Great hotel competitively priced and close to MRT underground. Would definitely recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location of the hotel very good. Beds are too low. No mirror in the room. Carpet needs vacumming.
- MOHAMED (8/5): Very good - Very good service
- Yuhwa (6/5): - The thermo stat in the room malfunction. It makes the room freezing. Had to turn on and off the air condition every 30 minutes!
- Glenda (10/5): - Fantastic staff
- Geoffrey (8/5): - Room clean. Comfortable bed which is important to us being elderly
Smorgasbord breakfast good. Staff helpful
Bus stop for hop on hop off bus stops outside hotel.
- Lissa (10/5): - Decent hotel, good room size & bathroom, all was clean & maintained well.
Easy walk to MRT station & walk to Chinatown.
Buffet breakfast is fine.
Happy to return
- Rebecca (10/5): - Hotel was immaculate, quiet and staff so friendly, polite and helpful. I had to check in late as I missed my flight and they could not have been more helpful and let me check in at 8am. Had a lovely swim and an amazing massage at the spa. Nothing was too much trouble, as a single female traveller it was ideal and walkable to Chinatown. I would definitely stay again. Only thing that would be helpful is USB points in the rooms.
- Robert (10/5): - This is an older hotel with nice style. I really like the Hotel and will return. Very good service and very comfortable and good food and bar options. Great place to stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Central and convenient - Clean and comfortable hotel, not far from Clarke Quay and Chinatown. Nearby shopping, dining and drinking options abound.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A pleasant stay indeed - The room is pleasantly upgraded. Nice city view.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic service from the frontdesk! Great stay! Great view from room!
- guangze (6/5): - Toilet smells Horrible
- Nicholas (6/5): - Quiet but hotel room seems old room wise so so .overall normal
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice stay - Nothing to complain about. Good service and comfortable stay.
- MC (10/5): - I enjoyed my staycation at Miramar. All the staff members I met are so friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you for your hospitality! I'll be back! 😊
- ROBERT BRUCE (4/5): bad WIFI - the hotel has WIFI problem and cannot be fixed
- Raji (4/5): - The check-in front office staff was not accommodating when I told him..will pass him the miscellaneous charges of $100 in an hrs time upon check in.He insisted I shld do the charges before check in.insisted for my debit card to be put on hold.Despite requesting for non smoking flr & King bed...i was given smoking flr & twin bed.The room reeked of smoke.I had to call them for change of room. The bath towels were horrible...off white colour & thread was falling off.Their hot jacuzzi was not functioning at the poolside.Disappointment stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The Hotel Miramar Singapore Is terrible and is classified as 4 star hotel, but is more like a very old 2 star hotel. In addition to this need to be very terrible with the rates as I had to pay $1,200 for a standard room as this was the last room available and Singapore was basically sold out. I would say the right price for this hotel is more $70-80 per room per night. Strongly reccomend to avoid staying at this hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel Location near china town for eating and shopping
- Majid (8/5): - I did not like utilities.
BBC was not available
could not find shampoo
- vladimir (10/5): - All fine
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was clean and spacious; the staff members were friendly and helpful. Although we only booked this after our previous arrangements fell through we were very happy with the hotel and would recommend it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We chose Hotel Miramar again for the free parking, bath tub and smoking room. Staff allowed us to check in slightly before 2pm. Room was spacious and clean and we managed to get a double bed this time. We hope prices remain below S$150 in a few months time when we will be back.
- Haryani (8/5): - All are OK and we managed to check in earlier.
- Tony (10/5): Overall great hotel - Great stay .. great Sérvia and great location. The only complaint is it was a farcically too the MRT .. Chinatown 15 min
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Wash room needs to have better maintenance. and the towel looks not clean
- Janice L (10/5): Good all round hotel - Friendly staff. Good service. Happy with room. Hop on, hop off bus right outside the door. Local bus stop for bus that goes into the main shopping area is just across the road. Pool and spa pool were great after a long day site seeing. Nice temperature too.
- JUPIN (8/5): - Very well. No complaints.
They organize a bus to go to downtown every morning and come back in the afternoon. Provide the customers quite a convinence.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was clean but the whole hotel looks old. Road leading to the pool seems scary. I rang up the operator to fix my room tv. Was showing snowflakes. Till I check out, nobody came at all to check.
- Scott (10/5): 1 night in SG - I stayed 1 night here for work. The room was a bit dated, but clean and had a comfortable bed. The check-in and staff was very helpful. It is a short walk to the quay, a lot of bars and restaurants. The price was also reasonable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Relaxing pool in the back; very good restaurants on the premises. Old building that has seen better days; rather in disrepair.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad Acoustics - Acoustics are bad. Voices and sounds from the opposite room are clearly heard in our room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Near petrol station & walking distant to any place. Good food near there
- Jon (6/5): Bad breakfast - The breakfast was awful - Swiss hotel merchant best
- Verified traveler (2/5): disappointment stay - i actually chose this hotel after looking at the images, when i came in, it was totally old school. i even mentioned that its our anniversary but there was no extra deco in that room. i have stayed in various 4 stars hotels which are all located opp Hotel Mirarmar, and they have decoration on bed at least. there was nothing available in the fridge. The food menu pricing is way too expensive compared to the rest of the hotels which we have been to. This hotel is way too old school. My first room was a smoking lobby and i requested for a change as i wasnt aware of the selection of non smoking. while i am being prepared for a change in the room, room service ( a lady ) come to spray the room, however she cant speak english. i was told that it will be a twin beds room and i want the beds to be merge. Another room service ( a man) came in to merge the beds but again he cant speak English and he is incompetent. he cant even shift the table that is lean against the wall but pull the beds forward and when i questioned him, he cant explained to me due to language barrier. You need to have people who can speak English as this is causing too much of a disappointment and not getting satisfied.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room is clean and comfortable. Toilet accessories well provided. Only wish the bed quality can be improved will be perfect. Perhaps can consider to change the mattress

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Elegant, peaceful, cozy overall nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside was when neighbor rooms become loud, you could hear them from inside.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is easy to get around, great location.
Simple and clean.
- Xiaohua (6/5): - Basic hotel. Staff are friendly.
Breakfast is not recommended. Bacon and ham got burnt, poached eggs were cold and fruits not fresh.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good spacious and clean room. Recently renovated. Swimming pool was under renovation
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Outdated hotel. The room I had was good in size but could use some renovation (old cracked bathtub for example). The cleanliness wasn't the greates, like stains from glass or bottles on the glass table.
Some good dining options but they come in at even greater price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Good staff service, but very bad rooms - dirty! - Bed broken, carpet dirty, rooms smell smoke !!
Rooms : 1622 & 726 - currently stuck here for the next 2 nights!
