- Georgios (7/5): Good choice for a good business stay - Very nice rooms, luxury level, clean and comfortable bed. Good views of the ocean and facilities under construction. Breakfast was fine, a good buffet There was not much or any to do around or to eat at walking distance. I had to take a taxi all the time and every time there was a different price and a different experience. The staff only called the YANGOO service that bring cheap taxis but not always comfortable The lunch dinner buffet was also quite expensive and the room service food I tried once was not super

- M5492BSolivierb (4/5): Decent facilities, questionable service - The pros : good size rooms, with good choice of amenities in the bathroom. The cons : reception isn’t coping very well with volumes. Room was quite noisy with rooms coming from the street, soundproofing is very basic. Cleaning of the rooms is questionable, when opening the curtains I found some underwear belonging to a previous guest.

The hotel doesn't allow charging items to the room, so everything is paid upfront. The air conditioner in the rooms heating didn't work.

The staff are fluent in Portuguese and English and the wifi connection was good. The top floor had a bar, pool, gym, spa and the best view of the ocean. The hotel is central enough to be close to all amenities but stull provide a breakaway from the city

- Luis1977Abreu (8/5): Quarantine for 2 weeks - Food was good, service very polite by employees. Always ready to improve. Need to improve on adding more TV channels. Good part is that different than other hotels they have sports channels and that’s a plus.
- Gilmerboy (6/5): Comfortable stay for short period - Quick 1 day business trip. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and adequately lighted. Safe available in room and TV had several international channels in multiple languages. Bathroom had large shower and hot water was plentiful. Good hand and bath towels. Breakfast buffet had a reasonable selection, I would rate as adequate and lunch buffet was the same. Staff were helpful. Location is good, 15 minute east drive to Ministry of Petroleum office. +/- so minute drive to the airport.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I did not like the condition that in the morning they don’t clean the room, it was my wedding day and I needed the room cleaned for pictures. After a lot of talking they send someone (staff) to clean that made us very clear that she was not happy to do it!! Second they have iron for clothes in the rooms. Anything you have to pay to ironed! I like the hotel but they have to improve and be more friendly with guests

- N3910OSanam (6/5): Reasonable - Is a reasonable priced hotel at least for Luanda standards , service is good , it could improve on the cleanness but overall you can have a nice business week there, food is nice and breakfast is standard. Breakfast can get loud on Saturdays and Sunday due to the city night life, some people love the breakfast do much they just go after the parties to have it, but they where doing something about that. Is also very private in a sense o parking underground.Nice overall
- Illerhaus (8/5): A good option for Luanda - Located on the water front, in an upscale neighborhood of offices and residential. No restaurants nearby. Facilities are newer and nicer than Hotel Presidente. Room is rather small, but clean and comfortable. Nice roof top bar. We chose the half-board option which makes the rate acceptable, for the infamously expensive Luanda. The hotel's restaurant was a nice surprise. We had dinners here every night, and every dish was excellent. Service overall was good. With all things considered, this is the best option for this budget in Luanda.

- vototravel (8/5): Beautiful place to be - I have been in luanda nice place to visit, nice people, hot country and a lot to visit special now they have a new president .the country looks clean and secure. Also the tickets with air France or KLM it's cheaper as well. £350
- T-Africa2000 (6/5): Nice facilities, poor service (in English) - The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are clean and the facilities are great. The gym, spa and pool area on the 8th floor are particularly pleasant. There are lovely views of the setting sun from the deck. Breakfast was decent, the coffee was good. Rooms are standard. Unfortunately no coffee to be had in the room. The WIFI is terrible. Kept dropping and is incredibly slow. It took me half an hour to download my emails for the day. The service in the hotel wasn’t great. The fact that the staff speak very little to no English is a big part of the problem. We wanted to check in early to put our bags down and no-one could give us an answer on whether this was possible. The barmen on the 8th floor didn’t know what a beer is in English.

The food is really good and the service is good as well. If you are planing to have dinner on the bar near the swimming pool (8th floor), make sure that you have plenty of time, their delivery of food is dependent on the room service guys
- sebonhols (8/5): Would stay again - This place is comfortable, the service is pretty good, and the breakfast is delicious. Our room had minor faults, but they fixed them fast and their engineer was the first hotel engineer I've met who wanted to fix issues not leave them until the next shift. The room did need a carpet steam clean, but it was still cleaner than most Australian hotel carpets. The TV worked well with plenty of choice. Back to breakfast... A really good range of options and truly friendly staff on hand. Good location, good view and accessible for Ilha and City. Friendly reception, very flexible staff. Will stay here next time.
- FrequentFlyer013 (8/5): CLEAN, QUIET, AND SERIOUS - I've been staying at the hotel for a week, here on business, and I do believe it was a good choice. My room is small but quiet, fairly comfortable, and I have a small fridge and enough water to keep me hydrated. The staff is also very sweet if you can get them to crack a smile---Otherwise, everyone seems to be very glum. The hotel is well-designed, although there is no friendly manager to greet you, leave you a nice letter, ask you if you need anything. I must be spoiled. The stay would have been more perfect if I had a bathtub and an iron and ironing board---impossible it seemed. The highlight is the 8th (top) floor with a lovely area around the pool to watch the sun set. There's also a gym, small coed spa with sauna and steam, and a quiet room. I decided to forego the ocean view for a quieter room in the back and was glad that I did. The food-- just OK, but not enough options on the breakfast buffet for vegetarians (try the fresh natural yoghurt and fresh cheese)...and exactly the same every day. Had it been in a more residential neighborhood or closer to shops and restaurants, I definitely would have ventured out for some exercise and food variety, but alas, it is in 'the new marginal' which is not yet 'happening'.
- KChampalimaud (4/5): Nice hotel with some amazing history to remember - The hotel location is good and as a nice view from sea or town. Last year I experienced a tricky issue. The room has been booked and paid for two nights and at first night everything went well and 4 yogurts were left on the fridge but no luggage or personal belongings have been left in the room. We left the hotel early in the morning and on my return we tried to open the door late at night and we heard a lady in panic asking who is there? Immediatly we went back to the reception informing the issue and reception informed us that they rented the room because nothing were found inside of the room. As consequence they assumed that the room were not rented. Immediatly they provided another room to us but only returned 2 yogurts because the other 2 yogurts were missing. lol lol lol lol. Immediatly a reported on the complaining book. In the next day when doing the checkout the supervisor spoke with me in the phone and offer to us an free night just to minimize the embarrassing situation we experienced.
- VonVintlo (6/5): Needs better leadership - This hotel has so much potential, it is modern, on the waterfront etc. The rooms are a decent size, modern, clean, good aircon, quiet and comfy beds. Wifi is poor, bathroom smallish with only a shower and no bath. Housekeeping did not renew my liquid soap and shampoo, the towels left in my room werent folded up and put back in the bathroom. No slippers. No iron and ironing board in the room. The gym is small and boiling hot, there were no clean towels as they had run out. Nice pool hough, but small. No airport transfer service. Breakfast is good but limited, rooftop bar is great, good menu and good food. Reception staff seem very junior. Hotel leadership, do your part and you can really turn this hotel into a gem
- jgn2015 (8/5): Great location if you plan to visit Chevron - Good hotel with a great location if your business is with Chevron. It is a 5 minute walk to the Chevron building. The hotel has an OK restaurant on the first floor. Breakfast is the best meal of the day and has a great variety of choices. Lunch buffet is good too depending on the cuisine. Dinner can be taken in the restaurant or on the top floor at the bar. Can be popular at the bar so might have to wait a few minutes. Rooms are good, work out facility is OK. Nothing missing but nothing great.
- cincol (6/5): Probably Good for Luanda! - One is limited to choice in Luanda but all hotels are ridiculously expensive - as in most African cities sadly - and their food is nothing short of extortion! Extremely limited choice and prices that require you to float a mortgage prior to visiting! Fortunately the breakfast is included in the room rate, and there is a very good spread to choose from. The rooms are great - very comfortable and roomy - albeit very expensive. The air conditioning is a bit iffy. Set to 10'C it barely keeps the room cool. All said, probably one of the better options in Luanda. The hotel is new and access is very easy as it is not in the city centre subjected to traffic issues.
- Milesy504 (10/5): Excellent hotel on water front - About 1/2 hour from the airport out of the rush hour (don't travel round Luanda at the busy time, gridlock) and on the waterfront. No direct access to the beach, but nice view s especially from the pool bar on the 8th floor where there is a small gym and a bar. Rooms are modern and nice, try for one at the front not only for the view, but it is quieter too. At the time of staying there is a cement plant operating quite close by. Luanda is one of the most expensive ex-pat cities in the World, so if you want to keep prices down eat at the top bar. Draft beer nice, wine expensive!
- Dion_C (8/5): Consistent and convenient. - I've stayed at Hotel Baia several times. The hotel is always clean and everything works in the rooms. Furthermore, the rooms are quiet, and when you want them to be dark, they are very dark. The breakfast menu is very consistent. I do feel that the staff, including at the reception desk and in to the restaurant, could smile more and be more friendly and welcoming. Internet is slow.

There could have been a little more enthusiasm on the part of the staff. Rooms simple and clean but not the standard of the same class hotel in Europe. But the view is fantastic. If you are looking for a functional hotel in a good location, this hotel works just fine.

- Michael (6/5): Not value for money due to unprofessional staff - Great building, great rooms, great seaview from the top (small pool and bar). Staff (managers included) dissapointed me.... with every coffee and every meal again we had problems with the bills ("put it on my room" does not work that easily) because of their system... incredible for a hotel where you have prepaid your room for at least 300US$ a night. the taxi ordered at reception didn't come (and the reception staff didn't see that as much as their problem) .
