• JVPG (6/5): Better options in the area - Stayed for three nights. Hotel selected by tour company and although in a good location for exploring the city, the hotel was pretty run down. Although my room was large and clean there was a constant smell of blocked drains. As the tap water wasn’t fit to drink they supplied a bottle of water at a charge of US$10. Go to the store next to the hotel and buy water for a fraction of the price. Breakfast was sort of ok, very limited. The advertised on site restaurant and coffee shop was non existent. There are plenty of good hotels centrally located and I would suggest paying a bit extra for one of those.

La ubicación es formidable Ascensores muy lentos y que la piscina fuera de pago. Me parece excesivo agregar 20.000 pesos diarios por usarla cuando el valor de la habitación ya es alto

• AlbusD (8/5): Good and clean hotel with good security! - Spent two nights in the hotel as part of the tour. Although there are stairs to the lobby, there is always a doorman to help with the luggage. The doorman also ensured the main entrance to the hotel is manned and locked at all times providing great security. Room was of good size and clean. Bed was comfortable. Only thing is that the power outlets are not at the convenient places. Hotel is along a road where it became a market with stalls on a Sunday. It is also easy walking distance to couple of attractions with two churches nearby.

• lizaocampo (2/5): Poor Customer Servicing - The balcony doors were hard to open/close. They had keys stuck to the keyholes. We closed the balcony doors. The next day was really windy. We were surprised to hear a loud noise and saw the glass had cracked in one door. We told the staff, but instead of asking if anyone was hurt, he said we may have to pay for the cracked glass caused by the strong winds! We returned late that night and were told that we had to pay for the glass! We had an early morning flight to catch the next day. I told them I refused to pay since it was caused by the winds. It became worse when the staff called me in the room to tell us that we were not allowed to leave some of our luggage in their hotel the next morning as previously agreed with our tour operator. I called our tour operatorto look for an alternative hotel to book us and keep our bags until we return. Kenton staff told my tour operator that they will waive the glass fee but I told my tour operator I refised to return to their hotel!

• claudia marcela (5/5): No volvería a ir alli - La limpieza El agua de la piscina estaba fría. El colchón duro. La tv es vieja no se puede ver Netflix ni nada. La calefacción pésima. La cochera no se puede usar por la feria. Tuvimos que alquilar estacionamiento en otro lado. La atención del personal mala. Contestan de mala manera. Ni hablan. Me cobraron la estadía completa y encima me preautorizaron un importe y no me devolvieron. Decepcionada

• Margarita (9/5): Todo es mejorable, pero es por el gusto de cada unx - La habitación, espectacular. Amplia, limpia, con una muy ideal distribución de la zona de aseo. El desayuno, muy completo, aunque se peca de mucho dulce, y hay menos de otras opciones. Sin embargo, hemos podido disfrutar de los mejores huevos revueltos en 14 días, pues estaban muy jugositos/poco hechos, y quién quiere más cuajados los calienta en el microondas que hay. A mí no me gusta el café, pero mi acompañante, siendo el último café de nuestras vacaciones lo valoró como el peor en 14 días. Yo pondré un pero al yogurt, eché en falta el natural, y sin azúcar claro, ya si eso cada cual se lo endulza a su gusto.

• Cheryl (6/5): Disappointed - Nice big rooms. Well located. I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel sent me a welcome message a week before on Booking.com. When my flight was changed, I responded to the message saying we were coming one day later. We did not hear back. When we checked in we paid for 2 nights. After one night they said we had to pay for an extra night. We were really disappointed in their response.

• susanmB5274NF (8/5): An excellent hotel for tourists - A good hotel for tourists located close to Plaza Mayor with plenty of eating places nearby. We had a very large room on 8th floor, it has a separate bath, shower and toilet area with toiletries provided, the room was very clean although a little dated. There was a fridge and kettle ( the shop next door sells large bottles of water for a fraction of price - $5 charges for a small bottle). Was able to make tea and keep milk in the fridge during our 2 night stay. Felt secure with doorman on duty at main entrance. Breakfast was comprehensive offering usual Chilean items. We found all the staff friendly and welcoming during our stay. We didn't visit gym or pool as busy out sightseeing.
• Medina (9/5): - La ubicación es perfecta para el que quiere disfrutar y pasear en San Telmo, plaza de Mayo (y alrededores) y recorrer puerto Madero, todo cerca y accesible caminando. Aparte de ser zona segura para andar aún en altas horas. Es un punto que lo menciono porque me desilusionó después de haber estado 4 noches. Salimos y ya estando muy lejos (más de 70 km de capital) nos dimos cuentas q nos olvidamos una billetera con documentos y tarjetas y si bien llamamos y nos confirmaron q estaba todo no hubo predisposición para enviarlo a destino (explicando que no era algo para dejar hasta la próxima visita como lo ofrecieron por tel) al no tener respuesta favorable tuvimos que volver a buscarlo y manejar 170 km demás, aparte de los 300 km que aun faltaban para el destino. Algo que con un cadete y una oficina de cualquier correo privado lo hubiera solucionado.

Desayuno muy cargado al dulce, personal de recepción poco cercano ( no todos), y el servicio de mucama estaba mal coordinado, lo que redundo en qué un par de veces no hicieron la habitacion.

• PhilMalone (6/5): Location with market on your doorstep - Unfortunately, the rooms were dark, low lighting and dingy which did detract from our visit. The staff were super helpful, leanding good assistance to some issues with outside tours that were going wrong. It is located in the old part of the city with a busy and large street market right on your doorstep.
• louisac79 (6/5): Nice location - needs work - Stayed here as part of an organised tour so had no choice in where we stayed. The hotel is a little dated and tired but the rooms are a good size and are very comfortable. However there is no water provided except a small bottle that they charge $5 for and no tea or creamer for the coffee if you are brave enough to try to use the dangerous looking kettle. The towels were quite old, rough textured and fraying on the edges. The breakfast was passable but not brilliant. The advertised cafe/bar was non existent and there was nowhere in the hotel to get food or drinks post breakfast. Thankfully the hotels good location meant that any provisions needed were close by as were many of the city's sights. The gym, swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and spa were all either below par or entirely missing. You could only use after 2pm and there was a charge to use the pool which is really no bigger than your average hot tub. The hot tub was empty, the sauna not working and the spa didn't appear to exist. The gym was no bigger than a closet and most of the equipment appeared to be out of order. The hotel website also advertises currency exchange which it also doesn't do. The friendly staff and location are positive but that's all.

Café da manhã poderia ser melhor servido em frutas e pães.
• Eaa1947 (4/5): Not a 4 star hotel - It may have been a Palace at one time, I don’t know but it certainly isn’t a palace any more. It is well located, close to the Plaza de Mayor etc but that is its only grace. It is an old dated hotel that needs significant upgrade. The standard room is quite small and there is no seating area or a chair, apart from a single chair, so you must lie on the bed. You cannot open 2 medium size suitcases. Fittings in the bathroom don’t work and the dreaded “shower in bath” meant the floor got flooded after every shower. The shower tap was faulty and it didn’t work. Breakfast is lousy with very few pickings and unhelpful staff. The receptionist was helpful though. One Sunday there was an arts market in the street so it was quite noisy and difficult to get around. It is a 2-3 star hotel.

• SRobinson75 (10/5): Great hotel, great location and great staff. - We spent 8 nights at Kenton Palace at the beginning of a tour. It is great location to explore Buenos Aires and the rooms are great. The staff were excellent and it is well.priced.
• Fernando (8/5): Brilliant staff at the door of Sn Telmo - The staff attention is brilliant, and I truly like San Telmo. If you are unlucky to have truly disrespectful room neighbours, you are doomed as yoi can hear everything. Besides the yelling of the parents, they found that allowing the kid to play with a ball against the wall was permissible in a hotel!!!

• Thecatsmum4 (8/5): Reasonable hotel in good location - Stayed at the start of a tour for 3 nights, well positioned for sightseeing, near to riverside which is a nice area to wander around. Room was large with a walk in dressing room, separate washbasins and separate bathroom and shower room. Teabags and kettle provided in room along with bottle of water, safe and good wifi. Reception were friendly and helpful, spoke reasonable English and do change small amounts of cash into local currency if required, although there are currency exchanges nearby for larger amounts. Breakfast was hit and miss, a buffet style but on first day ran out of quite a few things. Just scrambled eggs on heated food counter, didn't see offer to cook fried eggs which we had at other hotels. Other days improved with two staff constantly refilling food. Point to note we arrived early morning, 8.45am, having no choice due to only one flight a day and had to wait until 2pm for the room. They do store luggage if required, but we had money and passports that we needed to secure in the safe before wandering around an unknown city.

• Cruiser24324540816 (10/5): Great location - Right in the heart of San Telmo market, within 5 minutes walk from Casada Rosa and metro stations. If you like walking every attraction easily accessible on foot. The riverfront is 10 minutes away too. Super big rooms, massive comfy bed and shower/bath with plenty of hot water. Decor was old world charm. Breakfast was okay, but a bit limited. Didn't eat in the restaurant as there's an abundance of places to eat in the area.

• Shirleen (3/5): Hmm ... Mixed reviews - The location is great. They gave us 4 rooms next to one another during our 3 nights' stay. Our room had no cold water and the water in the shower was scalding hot. The aircon was not working properly. At 18°C, we woke up sweating. However these were fixed after feedback. Bathtub was leaking. We didn't want them to fix this because we were too tired to wait for them to fix it & didn't want someone in our room when we're out. One of our friends had the "do not disturb" sign but the housekeeper still went in to service their room (*note: housekeeping service will cost extra). We were not happy with the payment process. It was stated clearly in our booking confirmation that the property will take payment in USD. When we arrived, they said they don't take USD and converted the payment to ARS at a shocking rate which cost us USD24 more. They argued that this is Booking.com problem not theirs for the misinformation. (Of course they won't refund the difference).

• pablo (5/5): - La ubicación y presion del agua Olor extraño al entrar a la hab, el trato del personal, no son insonorizadas las hab, la piscina ano está incluida en el costo además los impuestos y el cambio termina saliendo más caro, frazadas insuficientes el aire no tiene control, difícil de regular la temp de la ducha, tv no Smart, enchufes no compatibles sin buen acceso, secador no muy útil, puerta del baño de vidrio?, sin extractor de aire en el baño heladera antigua ruidosa. Por la mitad de precio alquilen un apto alquile por la piscina y me querían cobrar más dinero cuando llegue.

• Jorge Nicolas (9/5): Recomendable para quienes estén dispuestos a abonar un recargo por el uso de la pileta. - La habitación y el baño muy amplios. Muy buen desayuno. La pileta requiere cargo adicional. No hay dentífrico ni crema de enjuague. La insonorización fue insuficiente.

They never approached us, but if you’re returning late at night it’s a good idea to check what hours the doorman is on duty. Reception offers well-priced local activities and good recommendations, which was a real plus. The rooms are spacious, clean, and come with a large bathroom and separate shower area. The showers could use an upgrade, but this seemed to be fairly common across South America. Staff were a mixed bag—sometimes indifferent, sometimes quite helpful. One thing to watch is your bill: we were overcharged compared to the confirmed price through booking.com (still waiting to see how the refund request goes).

• Cris (7/5): Placentera - Ubicación inmejorable. El espacio destinado al gimnasio, spa y piscina está muy bien equipado con instalaciones de calidad. La limpieza de todo el hotel es impecable. El desayuno estuvo bien, podría mejorarse en variedad acorde a la categoría del hotel. Como observación deberían ofrecer variedad de productos en el frigobar disponible en la habitación.

• María (9/5): - Lo amplio de la habitación, desayuno variado, la limpieza y atención. La tele es led lo que imposibilita poder usar aplicaciones de streaming ej. netflix, YouTube, Disney, hbo, etc. Las paredes son de durlock o similar material en su mayoría, se escucha mucho los ruidos.
