Guest Reviews
- Marc Wei Jie (2/5): - Hotel under renovation, currently the area is bad, only 1 lift is useable and need to wait for quite some time, noise pollution random time to time and disturbing precious. While staying in the hotel having fever, request for checkout at 1.30 but hotel reception insists to be 1pm only or else will charge for a 1 night stay. Likely a new management as all the old staff doesn’t seem to be around anymore. Overall experience this time is very bad, likely doesn’t interested to stay again in the future.
- Darryl (8/5): Nice place to stay - Has been a nice place to stay in the past and continues to be a nice place to stay at
- Verified traveler (8/5): Bangkok - Location a bit out of centre but very close to mrt which is nuch quicker than taxis
- Desiree (10/5): - I have been staying here since 2010. It was good , then 2013 I stayed again but there was leaking in shower and stuff, now in 2019 I’m back all I can say it was superb! Even the bellman! Thumbs up!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Basic hotel with the basic amenities. For the price, do not expect too much. Location is good. A short walk to the nearest MRT.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staffs. Near to MRT.
Easy access. Reasonable price.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Noisy guests in the middle of the night. Despite calling front office to help inform the guests, nothing was done. This was about 12 midnight to 2AM. Guests were leaving their doors opened and shouting to their friends in other rooms.....
- Leo (6/5): - Good location but property need major upgrading. Still using key for door lock in current era is shocking
- Jason (10/5): - good clean hotel. good location and friendly staff.
- Lee (8/5): A thumb up on the front desk n housekeeping - I stay there before this is my 2nd time back. I am glad the service didn't drop much.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good nfriendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The water from the shower spray is not strong enough.
Tv volume is not loud too. hardly hear it unless whole room keep quite.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good affordable hotel near to MRT Huay Kwang station.
- Mike (10/5): - Convenience and close to MRT stations and places of sightsee.
- ChianZhiKai (10/5): - nice hotel will go again... convenient area staff is good
- Kenneth Tan (8/5): - Normal
- Dreams (10/5): Nice Hotel - Everything Good. Staff Friendly. Near to Train Station. Near to Night Market. Many Massage places. Is a good place to stay.
- Adrian (10/5): - It is a good place close to train and good market near by
- Loo (10/5): - Good location. .the staff very friendly and the room very clean and nice.
- Shirley (8/5): Room abit too small. - Hotel Room a bit small. Not very spacious.
Overall still ok with the rate. It is cheap.
- chloe (6/5): No fuss hotel near MRT - fuss free hotel with colour them rooms, easy simple clean..and affordable
- Shu Fen (8/5): Value For Money - You can't ask for more, for the hotel is really value for money. Have all the basic necessities. Recommended for budget travelers or travelers who have a late night flight and just want to pit stop for a rest.
- Poh Sean (6/5): Would not stay there again. - The place is located at a corner of a quiet street. It's hard to get taxi and there aren't any attraction or food within walking distance. If you manage to get a taxi, Huai Khwang market is just a stone throw away. Bathroom drain pipe is horrendous. Each time I showered, the whole bathroom is wet. There isn't proper drainage. For the price, you can look for better hotel nearby.
- Poh Sean (6/5): Average at best, hard to get taxi. - Not worth the price, could have better choice with the same price nearby. Location is bad and it's hard to get taxi. Toilet doesn't have proper drainage and air conditioner leaking.
- Poh Sean (6/5): Nothing great, would not stay again. - Nothing to shout about, it was at a corner end and there aren't much eatery around. It's near to Huai Khwang market which you need to take a taxi and walking distance to Huai Khwang MRT. Toilet is in a bad shape with no proper drainage and air conditioner was leaking as well. Upgraded to their executive room which has the same problem. Bath tub is practically useless. Wi-Fi was fast but check in was terribly slow.
- Thomas (6/5): Good Service/Location But Toilet/Soundproofing bad - Very good service from staff especially doorman/security.
Good Location, walkable distance to MRT and Hway Kuang foodies.
Aircon broke down in the middle of 2nd night, luckily weather was still cool enough to manage till daybreak then gotten serviceman to attend to it while we go out.
Bathroom ( as we stayed in family room) should have more holders, especially around basin area for personal toiletries or hooks. Basin area was practically empty in the room we stayed, and the bath area only had 1 soap holder which barely contained the hotel's mini sets of shampoo and bodywash.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Tired hotel in handy location - Hotel fixtures & fittings now showing significant signs of wear & tear and aging, compared to just last year. Fewer towels in the bathroom, and they are rough and discoloured. TV cannot be properly tuned. Restaurant food remains good, and location is handy for getting to downtown. Most staff are friendly. Have stayed here several times since it opened, but will probably look elsewhere next time in Bangkok.
- Max (4/5): Very rude staffs - 10 June 2017, 8.30pm.
All 3 of us had diarrhoea after having dinner in the hotel restaurant.
12 June 2017, 9pm.
Went into the hotel restaurant and was greeted by a female Thai staff. As we tried to catch our breath, she asked us for orders.
We replied: wait a moment. She immediately shouted: wait, wait we closing! Mumbled in Thai language while she walked away and did not come back to us at all.
14 June 2017, 10am.
Stood in front of the front desk, waiting to check out of hotel.
3 staffs behind the counter talking while only 1 staff was attending to another person.
Overall experience: YOU JUDGE!
- j (6/5): not bad near night market - good stay w everything near by, near mrt and night market
- Aaron (8/5): Reasonable stay hotel near train station & market - Have been staying this hotel a few times. Price are reasonable cheap with simple breakfast provided. Near to train station which is good for me(Solo traveler) as I do not need to waste time waiting at a jam. Near to Huai Khwang Nite market, although things are expensive there, but the food and massage is what we are looking for which the prices for these 2 are cheap. Recommend if you dont mind out of busy street and like to avoid jam with train taking.
- Channelle (6/5): I rather pay a lil more to stay somewhere else - Sound proofing wasn't that good. Bed was as hard as the floor. Requested for extra blanket and pillows but they wanted us to pay extra 100 baht. They dont accept credit cards which is kind of stupid. And they give u toilet rolls instead of tissue. Am i supposed to clean my face with toilet rolls?
- Verified traveler (6/5): Room - Well, perhaps it was my own expectations. The room is small and especially the bathroom shower area. I could hardly bend down to wash my feet! So guys, expect something similar when you choose to stay here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Unpleasant Stay - This trips was so unpleasant, as room given to me was without window, and unable to help me with the problem on the Showerhead that with the little water coming out from it and I requested to change room, and they told me the room are full.
- Andy (2/5): Sleeping on streets is better than here.. - Budget hotel & badly maintained. Breakfast was terrible as it ran out of food and I had to go to nearby 7-11 to buy bread for breakfast.
- Hotel corridor carpet was stained & smelly
- Hotel corridor wall paint was chip off, dirty paints
- No aircon & ventilation in all levels of the hotel corridor
- Room tile was dirty & stain
- Carpentry in room was worst! Peel off, chipped off, dropped off laminated, yellow, smelly.
- Toilet door spoil, unable to lock, mouldy
- Instant heater & shower curtain grew mould & fungus
- Bed got bed bugs! Springy bed, no maintaince at all, smelly & seems like a jail bed.
- Mattress cover & comforter, im not sure if it had been washed before or reused from previous guest
- Aircon no service at all, no cold, yellow, mouldy, dusty
- Room lights not bright enough
- Small 32 inch LCD tv
It looks like a prositution hotel. Until it improve dramatically, else I will not recommend anyone to this hotel. Seriously, are u even providing a service? In a hospitality industry? Letting your guest stay in such condition like a jail? Come on, 50 bucks I can get alot better hotel anywhere in Chinatown or elsewhere.
People who want to risk staying, I suggest you save your 50 bucks and sleep on the streets instead.
- salena (8/5): Near to mrt station - Enjoy my stay at CMYK hotel.. Close to mrt station and also night market.. Staff is friendly too.. Will recommend this hotel to friends..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Near MRT and night market - Hotel with one of the nicest staff. Will stay again if I had a chance. Breakfast was alright but everything else was good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient hotel - Room and furniture showing signs of wear and tear, but still good value, safe, clean hotel next to good public transport (underground train).
- Verified traveler (6/5): good - Overall it was a good hotel but the location was bit far so appropriate for holidaying.
- Veerawong (6/5): Comfortable stay and helpful staffs - Nice hotel because very near to MRT Station... but don't have tuk tuk service... the staffs very helpful especially Ms Salisa.
- Tom (8/5): Good location - Near to MRT station, convenience store and nice restorance nearby
- Verified traveler (10/5): convenient and friendly hotel - The housekeepers are good and friendly.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Will unlikely to stay there again. Charge me 800B. - Charge me 800bahts for ink stain on the bedsheet. Not sure how ink get to the bed as i dont have pen. Disappointed they charge me so high for it. Have to pay as was in hurry to catch flight home.
- Javier (10/5): Convenient Hotel - The hotel provide excellence services, the staff are friendly and will work their best to attend your needs.
- Ryan (4/5): Location is fantastic but bad room conditions - I booked for the highest possible floor for non-smoking and was actually given level 7 on the facility. the highest level is 8 and then after that, I realised that was a smoking floor. The instant heater shower on level 7 had low water pressure. If you are looking for soothing trickling waterfall effect, this shower is slightly weaker than that and can provide such experience if you have some forest sounds playing in the background, it will complete that wilderness experience!
Requested to change to non-smoking and was placed at level 3. After settling in for a while, I realised the aircon was set at 17 degrees celcius but the room was not really cool. Slept through the night at that setting and the room felt warm in the middle of the night. I woke up and realised that the aircon has a dripping problem.
Told the Reception about it after breakfast and they sent a technician who dismantled the aircon, gave it a few "Tiger uppercuts" and did not bother to wash the filter prior to putting it back. The air con filter has a thick coat of dust on it and that might have contributed to its inability to function.
Hours later when I returned, I discovered that it was still dripping and requested for a room change again. This time, I was given a twin sharing room on the same floor. Everything seems fine and the aircon was set at 25 degrees, it was cooling. But it did not last long, the last night I get a sudden "arctic blast" moment and had to pull out the card key to reset the aircon
- Steven (6/5): Pricing good - Not bad
- Darryl (10/5): Very nice Hotel. - Nice place for my last couple of nights in Bangkok.
- Edwin (6/5): Clean hotel near MRT - Not too deep within the Soi, easy access to MRT and the nearby night market. Lots of food in the area and easy to find 7-11. Good size room with basic stuff. Good for solo travellers or couples, not so much for families.
- Ong (8/5): reasonable and easy access to many places - Good place to stay except onli can chk in at 2pm. Must leave by 12pm. If they can make room available once guest chkout will be great.
- carol (6/5): simple and clean - simple and clean room, near huai khwang bts. 5 mins down the junction, there is a night market. overall satisfied.
- Tsun Lam Matthew (8/5): Good cheap nice hotel in Bangkok - quick access nice staff and very helpful
but no early check in causes me a little but inconvenient.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great family room! - 2nd times stay in this hotel. Breakfast is great. Room size is big. TV Channels improved as compare to previous stay. Room cleanliness still need to be improved.
- Lee (8/5): excellent service staffs there - staffs are very helpful and friendly, help me to call my taxi booking when the driver is not there at the stipulated time
- Benjamin (6/5): Cool and budget hotel to stay. - Air conditioning was not as expected I wanted. Is was not that cool even I select to 17 degrees. But still Alright to stay.
- Suk Kit Suky (2/5): Bad experience in my entire of life - It was a really bad experience in my life. The weather was cool which was never before. The water heater was not warm/hot enough. It was flooding when in shower. The 2nd day we woke up. We found that some food in the fridge. I think the room was not tidy up completely. We stayed 5 nights. The house keeper forgot to make up the room and refill on the 2nd days. We went back the room at night. The room was make up but my pajama and my own towel was put on the floor and my luggage which was put next to the bed.
- Aw (6/5): - Room is big and cleanliness, staff good English and helpful, near Huay Kwai MRT station.
- chinlun (8/5): Overall is good - My stay was good, overall the price is valued compared to the cheap rate. The only thing I dislike is they use electronic water heater, the temperature was only warm for me, not comfy. They charged extra pillow for THB50.-....... Breakfast was good enough.
- Alex (8/5): - Its quiet convenient but there is no windows in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): =) - Good location .. With lots of store around .. Near the market .. Good stay for the price ... Will come again ..
- Verified traveler (2/5): Such terrible survice - Such terrible survice, this is the most terrible hotel I have never stay. Especially the manager and the reception, so terrible survice. They never think about customer, and also no communication between the staff, this is the reason they gave me a so terrible experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic hotel; for exploring MRT Huai Kwang area - This is a clean and modern art deco hotel. It offer the basic need and value for what we paid for. Myhotel CMYK@ratchada is walking distance to MRT Huai Kwang. There are 24hr minimart, barber, decent massage centers, small restaurants around this hotel. Hair dryer and water boiler provided. They also have a carpark if you drive. Breakfast was ok, salad veg, bread for toast, pan cake, and probably another 5-6 hot dishes, cereal, coffee & tea. They put in effort to decorate their breakfast hall too. English TV channels include Bloomberg, NHKworld, CNA, FashionTV etc. Pick this location if you like to explore Huai Kwang/Ratchadapisek area.
- Choo (6/5): Reasonable Price - Can't asked for more with the price you are paying. The only thing which I would like to highlight is the safe box inside room. Overheard from the counter, that i'm not the only one having problem with the safe box. After informing counter staff, nothing has been done even the staff has acknowledge and promise to send someone to fix it.
- Magdalene (8/5): Happy stay in CMYK - Better than I expected
- Jerm (8/5): Great Stay - Near to mrt station and accessible to food and night market within walkable distance.
- Lim (2/5): Unpleasant experience - Room 402 was bad. Overall orientation is bad. Bed in wrong position. Sound proof was bad. Can hear the lift beeping throughout the night. Aircon was noisy.
- SOON LONG (2/5): Would pay more for something better - Will not choose this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Hotel room is smelly like in the toilet and Windows can't be open to have fresh air. I can hear people talking so they can hear mind too, I don't feel I have privately at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Price reasonable and quite convenient, but breakfast buffet just has limited choices of food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Spacious and convenient, value for money. Breakfast buffet just has limited choice, but the taste is not bad.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Lower your expectation of this hotel - It was A business trip, reason for this hotel bcos is near to MRT, for the price paid, this is what to expect. However, during thr stay the hotel blackout in the middle of the night, everyone was affected and no apologies from the hotel as well.
Breakfast is very limited viariety and security of the hotel is very questionable. Anyone can just take the lift and go up to the room for no reason.
- WeiMing (8/5): Nice hotel - Good place, 5mins walk out to the mrt.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close proximity to MRT and Night Market - The stay was relatively present. It is about 5-10 min walk to Huai Kwang Mrt. And the night market is just further up ahead. Good location. Hidden from main road so its not too noisy for me.
Hotel staff are rather helpful and friendly. The ambience is comforting. And it is clean.
Bed is soft and have a sinking feeling. For me its ok, so its probably the personal preference for each individual.
Breakfast is good, nothing exquisite but I think its acceptable. Simple Thai and western food.
For the value, I would say the stay is favorable.
- A.H (4/5): CMYK arrange Room not as per booking! - Booking thru Expedia payment inadvance 100% for 3 Beds Room type. CMYK just arrange 1 single and 1 double
to us, this is not as per bookings mentioned.
Dirty bed sheet & smelling pillows in room.
- Jaehoon (8/5): reasonable price and good staying - good for staying alone... and easy to accesss
- Verified traveler (8/5): Will stay again - Over all is good but toilet is bad. Near MRT. Worth to stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nothing like shown in pics - I looked at the pics from the hotel before booking. It looked good from the pics.
But the place is not so good as they claim it in the pics.
not so close to the city center as they claim.
i booked executive room and called them a few days before to advise that i'll be checking in late so keep the room ready.
didn't happened and they put me in a dirty room.
IBIS or Mercer would be a better choice as they are nearer to SIAM square.
- Verified traveler (6/5): hotel stay for 7 days - Hotel receptionist was not friendly and pretended to be busy when attention was needed from the reception. Other than that the other staffs, including the bell boy and room maid was excellent.
Room itself was reasonably big, television was a good size LCD TV. Bed was also comfortable. Toilet was small to the extend that the door was hitting the basin. Room mirror was short and can only view lower part of the body when standing.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location but service lvl isn't tht good - Not too bad a hotel just that the service level of the reception staffs could be much improve.... Only thing that attract me is the excellent location ... Near to 7-11 and mrt n the night mkt
- Stefan (4/5): Musky towels, paint peels, hair in shower - Tucked away in a busy side road, room has a musky smell upon check in, musky towels, pubic hair left in showers, cable tv with most English channels not working, paint peel everywhere. Breakfast selections tasteless. Only plus point is the pleasant reception staffs.
- Verified traveler (6/5): .Value for a 3-Star Hotel - Staff were helpful & courteous. But they do not communicate well in English or Chinese. The room air-condition could not be properly adjusted or control. The shower could not be controlled as well-has automatic hot and cold water. The buffet breakfast had limited choices and almost the same food everyday. TV programs were very limited. The other aspect of the hotel were good and the selling point is its location. Near to MRT, market, restaurants and delicious street food and night bazaar.
- Verified traveler (6/5): comfortable for short stays - Short but a comfortable one night hurried business trip and stay
- Ho (2/5): bad service from counter manager - Upon arrival, was told off by the counter manager why there wasn't any voucher printed out even though I provided the screen shot of my confirmation. The staff was so rude and said they did not receive any booking even after I gave the booking number. Had to waste an hr waiting just for this.
- Allan (8/5): Budget hotel near MRT - First time stay in this hotel , recommended by my friend. Walking distance to MRT around 3min.
Easy access to public transport.
Only comment is the bed where the bed stand is the roller type and it will move around if "major movement" on the bed.
- malli (8/5): Hotel Stay
- The room and breakfast was good.
But they respond to any of my emails regarding airport pickup, tours etc
- davidk (8/5): Budget hotel near mrt - Room is clean, big tv with good mix of channels, breakfast is just ok. Will return in the near future.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value for money - The room is small but the location is convenient. Good for a cheap but comfortable stay.
- chin (10/5): Hotels location. - Good days. I love the hotels Design and the hotel staff very friendly. I will be coming back and stay again. Thanks again to all the staff.
Warm Regards,
Ricky chin
- Jacquelyn (10/5): Awesome stay! - The hotel is close to the subway station Huai Khwang, which is accessible to a lot of other malls. There's a street of night market which sells various street foods and clothes. The hotel has a 7-11 nearby too! The staffs are extremely friendly and the service is awesome.
- Andy (6/5): Near to MRT - Good food and night life by foot or minutes away by cab
- Alex (8/5): Good Budget Choice - If you are on a tight budget and need a decent hotel, this is the one. Price is reasonable considering the comfort and design of the hotel. Location is very near Huai Kwang MRT. 3mins walk. It's bustling even at night, There's a night market located beside the MRT. However, toilet is a little cramp. and towels are a little dirty. And the soundproofing system is not very well done. You can hear people talking at the corridor. But it's all quiet at night.
- gerald (8/5): Hotel is good . Staff are friendfy. - It is a good option to choose. 5 to 10 mins walk to huai khwang MRT stations. Want to go anywhere is just a train station ahead. With 15 to 20 mins to reach .whether is club or shopping areas near by .or taxi
- MARK (8/5): Great loacation - Overall nice and cheap place to stay. location is fantastic, just 5 mins from MRT and taxi are easy to hail
- ryan (10/5): Hotel experience - Nice experience with my stay. Good hospitality. Best location if traveling alone. Easy accessible to train station.
- Derrick (8/5): Myhotel CMYK Ratchada - Its convinent as the hotel is 5mins from Huai Kwang MRT Station. All the staff is helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel to stay at - Good hotel in a convenient location with lots of walkable places to go to . Very closed to the Marriott. Rooms are very nice if you book the suite. Large LG LCD TV. Bathroom a bit dit in my unit but overall, would definitely stay there again.
- Thomas (6/5): Great location ! - Great location !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean hotel and very near to mrt station.
- Shawn (6/5): An IKEA Inspired Hotel.. - All the furniture from the beds, couches, chairs, even lounge and cafe tables looks like it came from IKEA. Good hotel for the price and in a convenient location close to the underground MRT. Room was small and had scratches on the walls and huge wall AC blows directly on the bed, had to raise it up just to not freeze at night. Cafe is clean and food is good.
- Mamboberg (8/5): Great location with very reasonable price - Great location - near bts and hway kwang market...reasonable price with a normal size room and breakfast. Basic facilities but everything I need is in the room. Good customer service from the staff as well. Tops!
- CalBear (8/5): Decent for price - Not as nice as the pictures, but overall there was nothing to complain about. Pros: 1) Breakfast was pretty good (was there for two days and they had slightly different dishes each day; a few thai dinner-type dishes, eggs, toast, sausage etc.). 2) Location was about a 2-3 min walk from the Huai Kwang MRT station. 3) Wifi was okay (no streaming videos or anything, but it at least actually worked for basic stuff). 4) Although the hotel is near a bunch of massage parlors, the hotel is okay for kids (I came with daughter and didn't have to see any old white guys with hookers--instead the hotel see is full of Asian tourists). Cons: 1) Rooms are very small. 2) Bathrooms have those SE Asian-style individual water heaters (which you would never see at a nice hotel). 3) In general it's not that nice of a hotel (although completely worth its price--assuming its something like 1K baht/$30).
- Vincent (6/5): Good and reasonable rates - Overall was ok. Except that breakfast spread was boring during my 4-day stay (almost same dish everyday). Its good if they can provide fresh cooked omelette with toppings everyday.
there was two service lifts and one of them was out-of-order throughout my 4-day stay.
Apart from that, location (near BTS station) and pricing were good.
