- sunny (10/5): - Brilliant location Cold shower no hot water
- Helmut (9/5): - Lage Nichts
- Clinton (7/5): Excellent value and well located if you need to be in Sathorn - Location perfect for the purpose we were there for. Outstanding value for money. 7 Eleven on the same property. Can’t really complain as you get what you pay for. The rooms were old and tired but decently equipped and relatively clean.
- cesarlC6245BN (2/5): Unclean Hotel Room. - Dates of Stay: July 20–23
Unfortunately, our experience here was deeply disappointing. The room had an unbearable smell, most likely due to a malfunctioning bathroom exhaust fan—the odor was strong and clearly coming from the bathroom.
On top of that, the pillows were extremely dirty (as shown in the attached photo), and the bedsheets didn’t feel fresh at all. While housekeeping did respond and changed them right away, the fact that we had to deal with this was unacceptable.
The Wi-Fi was consistently unstable and painfully slow throughout our 3-night stay. We raised the issue with the front desk, and were told there was an “internet interruption”—conveniently, it started on our check-in day and ended just as we were checking out. It felt almost intentional.
The gym was mediocre (2.5/5), and the breakfast was basic (3/5).
Value for money: 0/5.
With all these issues combined, we can confidently say we will not be returning.
- Glenn (8/5): - Good value for money. Room was big with huge ceilings. Breakfast was quite nice.
- Mkwfin (9/5): Superb - Good location
- lily darmon (2/5): - Not expensive but it’s not clean at all. And some noise every time.
The hotel entrance is in the parking
- 2persians (8/5): Excellent value for money - Hotel is in very good location. The breakfast had a good choice of Thai dishes which were full of flavour and varied every day. The room was spacious and cleaned every day. The lady owner was very helpful and friendly. It is a 3 star hotel and what you get for the price is excellent, do not go expecting 4 or 5 star facilities. Would stay there again.
- 733nikalas (4/5): Dirtiest hotel - This was probably the most disgustingly dirty hotel I’ve stayed at in my life. It would get a zero stars if I could. The bugs in the garbage can that scurried under my bed when I pulled out the bag to sit outside after they didn’t clean our room. The crackling light that sounded like it was going to start on fire yet wouldn’t turn on. The leaking sink tap. The hole is the wall. No screens. Actual dirt and food on bed skirt and walls. The dirty cups that were wrapped as if clean. The dust bunnies hanging off the AC and shelves. The card needed to stay in the door to leave electricity on yet the electricity stayed on half the time so we never knew if our refrigerated food would stay cool. The rainfall showerhead didn’t work.
However, the neighborhood felt very safe although it was in one of the busiest streets in Bangkok. I’m pretty sure a few of the ladies that sat around in the parking lot were working girls. Bike parking was safe and convenient. And the elevator smelled amazing.

I also felt really bad for the lady that came to run on the treadmill while my daughter and I were in the gym. The treadmill was so loud she was embarrassed to run and ended up leaving to run outside instead.

- Voyage35157825518 (2/5): Unpleasant strong smell - Stay away from this place - booked 4 nights, arrived the hotel lobby and found a strong unpleasant unhygienic stink throughout the space, could not stay a few seconds further and had to leave the hotel and find another one in the night. Very dark, looks like a motel next to car park and can barely breath in the building due to the repelling stink.
Definitely mismatch from agoda.
Worst - the hotel does NOT have any email to contact. Four nights of costs thrown away.
Please be advised of this experience before booking.
- Vincent (7/5): Good -
- Brian (2/5): - I’ve stayed at this property back in 2017 and in previous years to that and prior to that back when this property was named Chaydon Sathorn. The hotel is not very outdated and is very dirty. There is mold in the bathroom and lots of mildew. The floors are very dirty in the hotel so bring slippers if you decide to stay here. Checked right out after less than 3 hours of being there. I still give it to the hotel that it’s a safe and convenient location and with 7/11 being just right downstairs it’s very convenient. The nail salon and massage spot downstairs are still legit as I remember it being. The staff are trained correctly and are very kind, but over all the hotel needs to be completely re renovated!
- Bryan (6/5): Live with the locals - First room I got was very noisy because of heavy traffics on Sathorn road. Good thing they immediately let me changed to a different room upon request. 2nd room still had some traffic noises, but it was liveable. Smelled electrical burn when I turned on the TV. After I turned it off, smell went away within minutes. I like the clean restroom, clean sheets, pillows. It does not look like a hotel.
- Pawinee (5/5): Passable -
- Robert (8/5): Convenient, nice staff efficient ok for the money - Breakfast was free but pretty awful and cold It was thai tv mainly....no english news channels and poor picture reception
- Lumlert (5/5): Passable -
- Daniel (2/5): Deceiving rating - should be max 1 star because no maintenace for years - Only good is that the location is just 10 min walk from stations. Also that some workers are very kind and it was easy to shorten the stay just by asking at the reception. I made notes of the following: Toilet button didn't work well, one air conditioner didnt work so one guest had to switch rooms. The floor was making my feet dirty when walking in my room. There was trash and a few coins that were left probably from other guests. The bed springs were felt through the sheet because there was no middle mattress. Smell in the rooms was old and strong, smelled like someone had used pesticides the night before.
Everything felt like it needed renovation, as it looked like there was no renovation done for many years and for the price of approx. 1100THB/night it should be modern rooms in this area. Deceiving saying it has 3 stars rather than 1 star, because the standard is below what we would even consider staying in, and we stayed in many hotels ranging between 2-5 stars before. The high roof of the room and the narrow long corridor made it feel like we were walking into an imaginary brothel.
Also, when arrived early, the response was immediately "check-in at 14:00" rather than "I can check if the rooms are already available for earlier check-in". Bureaucracy over hospitality is not good image for a hotel.
If the hotel reads this: PLEASE... DO TAKE CARE of the hotel, put aside money from each rented room for maintanace, so that when the hotel gets old, you have enough in budget to renovate. DO NOT PUT all money into owners pocket or the business will not be sustainable for the long run! Hotel is about hospitality and experience, and your hotel failed us.
- Alain (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wagdi (9/5): Superb -
- Marco (7/5): I would definitely go there again - Location is great, 7eleven and massage center just downstairs
Good value for money I tried to contact the hotel before my arrival, nobody replied.
The overnight reception guy could not understand or speak a word of english, he was not confident with the check in process, that took more than 20mins.
A fee facilities were missing (no toothbrush or tooth paste), but can buy them at the seven eleven downstairs
- Courtney (9/5): Superb -
- Anurak (8/5): Very good -
- Thippharatthanawadee (9/5): Economy stay near embassy (2 km). - Price. Wish breakfast was included. No window, breakfast not payable with room!?
- Thomas (6/5): - Lock missing from room door, no security for elevator
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Polina (1/5): Bad - They canceled my reservation even though I was staying there! Restore your reservation on Booking!!!!!!
- Kcp (7/5): Good -
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Nurul (4/5): - Shower did not function properly.
After we informed the front seat few times the was not fixed.
Bed mattress was not good.
- Pamela (2/5): Very poor -
- Christopher (10/5): - What a wonderful surprise ! Clean, comfortable, quiet with a fantastic location/
The staff was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was above what I experienced at some of the other hotels I stayed in around Bangkok/
Great value for money.
Thank you Khun issaraporn and staff for a prefect stay !
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional - Good price and great location. Nice room.
- Hp88 (8/5): Very good -
- Montchai (10/5): Exceptional - Pillow Good location
- Pb (8/5): Very good - location shower needs an upgrade
- Warren (8/5): Very good -
- AMPHOL (6/5): - Short walking distance to Skytrain and good breakfast. But the property is not properly maintained, such as broken toilet and bed.
- Vincent (7/5): My stay was good. - Location was great. I didn’t take the breakfast For the room to be cleaned every day instead of after three days I had to contact the office.
- Song (9/5): Superb -
- Kjell (2/5): Very noisy location on Sathorn Road - Nothing much, sorry to say but the room gave me a claustrophobic feeling. Facing Sathorn Road with all the traffic, extremely noisy.
Only positive thing was the staff in the reception. They refunded me as I didn’t wanna stay in this noisy room and the hotel was fully booked so no other more quiet rooms available. - Andrew (2/5): Expensive room, poor quality - The location is good. The room was very poor for the price, for $50 USD I'd expect a much better room. It needs a good clean and repaint. The air conditioner was old and noisy and it was leaking water everywhere. The staff changed my room but this was at 1am and I had a flight the next day. I have stayed at this property before so I thought the staff would take better care of a return customer, they gave me a terrible room when other rooms were readily available. The hotel was certainly NOT fully booked
- Derrick (7/5): I enjoyed my stay at the Embassy Santhon Hotel - The exceptional staff.
- My Anh (4/5): - The bed was big but washroom shower heads has black molds all over so i avoided using the showers for my 2 day stay.
- Jantima (6/5): Pleasant -
- Quest (7/5): Good -
- Ben (2/5): Very poor -
- Abd.jalil (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shayne (2/5): Good location but hotel is old and stinky - Location Unclean, noisy, dark, run down. The placed smelled and the aircon smelled it needs a massive renovation
- Maynard (6/5): Decent for the price and location - Location location location It was ok as I was accompanying folks on a limited budget, I usually go to 4 stars hotels.
- Sarel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lizle (3/5): Room size is good, and the stay wasn't extremely bad, but I've seen cleaner places. - I've stayed there once before, so it was good enough for me to book a second time. However the place hasn't been well maintained and needs a thorough spring clean Hygiene is not up to standard
- Graham (7/5): A good reason not to stay below 4 star. - Location Not able to check-in early. Hotel delayed till right on 2:00pm.
- Douglas (4/5): Disappointing - BREAKFAST FOOD WAS GOOD BUT VERY COLD
- Sarel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Enid (7/5): A budget hotel that is worth every penny spent. - The room was basic, spacious and clean. It is not an extravagant property but the politeness f the staff and the excellent location make up for all that it isn't. Prime location of Bangkok. Taxi/Bolt/Uber easily available from the door of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is decent (same food everyday, decent variety of dishes). A budget hotel that is worth every penny spent. Nothing negative about the property.
- Stanislavk19 (9/5): Superb -
- Chew (1/5): Demand full refund on this. I immediately walk out after walking into the room - Location Rundown and not the same as the pictures. Old furnitures and dusty everywhere.
- Sarel (10/5): Exceptional - The central location of the hotel. The convenience of 7Eleven right opposite entrance to Hotel
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Sarel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karsten (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leninza (6/5): Pleasant -
- Petercas (1/5): Bad - Nothing. I checked out right away. Rooms not ready 2.00 .pm no windows . In case of fire, all dead. Very primitive experience. The worst experience in 22 years in Thailand. Avoid these hotel. Pictures are all not according to the bookings.com. Terrible thats all I can say.
- Dato (1/5): Bad -
- Anne120761 (3/5): Hotel very disappointing, would not book there again. - The bed, airco and location The TV didn't work, safe didn't work. Floor was dirty and they didn't clean my room. No new water, or coffee, towels. Shower was ok, not much pressure. Breakfast was poor.
- Sarel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tatyana (10/5): Exceptional - Great location
Very friendly staff
It was a breakfast included, even it wasnt in booking
Highly recommened
- J. (2/5): Very poor - Bed towel were clean and sort of new. Nothing else. Overall very run down hotel. Extremely not clean: toilet, bed linen, walls with stains and sticky things. Toilet couldn't flush well and shower water was not hot. Breakfast was very blunt.
- Johnnyht (7/5): Good value for money, but no frills. - Best point is its location but it is a fair walk from Sky Train stations. There is a meagre but adequate breakfast. Room was clean and everything worked. There is no restaurant or bar and the nearest is a fair walk. Lucky someone came out so had a parking slot. No apparent security there so if parking full you have a major problem.
- Kateryna (7/5): Good -
- Hyunjoo (6/5): not comfortable - location No free wi-fi
- ioannis (8/5): Pictures do not tell the truth - The hotel has seen better days. Pictures do not show reality. We were give an acceptable room after refusing the first two shown. Whole property needs a thorough cleaning. Staff were good. We had to ask for cleaning the room, coffee, towels etc, even though we left the "room make up" request sign on the door, and they promptly provided. Breakfast offered is basic, but you can ask for something different if available. Some nights the lights outside the room were turned off leaving the hallway in total darkness. Good restaurants etc a 15 minute walk at least, and so were the Metro and BTS stations. 7-11 on the ground floor was very convenient. Only two areas where you can cross Sathorn rd, one just north of the hotel and a bridge about 3 blocks south.
- Aroonrat (7/5): Location & clean room - Location & clean room even though the building is very old. Staff should be able to answer and support customer on time.
Access card cannot use to open the door when swipe the card reader.
TV and other electronic devices need to replace batter.
- Gabriel (2/5): Very poor - Location OK, if you like walking among 90 story skyscrapers with not much at all at ground level. WARNING: None of the rooms have real windows, only white'd out light holes typically at 6ft height. No WI-FI in the entire building!!!! Also no phone reception possible indoors, you'll be completely cut off from connecting. The old TV with separate cable box also didn't work! Dingy elevator, faded furniture.
- Yuttana (8/5): good location value for money - good location I have booked a executive room for 2 nights but the first night they gave me an economic room 424 which was rubbish that room should be 300 Baht per night then I told Mama and she moved me to a executive room 516 on the 5th floor which is amazing it’s large, clean, and comfortable. will be back again.
- Nigel (8/5): - Average
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotels.com did not pay the hotel - Strange experience, the owner claimed they did not receive the payment from Hotels.com. At the end the owner was nice and offered free breakfast. Apparently, she let us go claiming she checked with Hotels.com and they confirmed I did not pay - yet I had a proof the money was deducted from my account. Weird!
- Steven (6/5): in dire need of a refurbishment - It served its purpose. Somewhere to sleep, bathe and relieve myself. My room looked nothing pictures on the website etc. It was a tired rundown version plus 10 years. If I had a race horse and it looking like what my room did (well the equivalent) I would shoot it in the face and move on. Other than that the staff were pleasant and my whole experience of Bangkok was a positive one.
- ANTONIO (8/5): - The room and facilities are clean, location safe and accessible to transportations, easy to locate by taxi, very close to all shopping/businesses/ transportations/ restaurants.
- FR-RU2020 (10/5): Great Hotel - Great hotel, convenient location on Sathorn road, short walk distance from the BTS.
Rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable, attentive and welcoming staff, excellent value for money.
I definitely recommend
- Foadniestat (6/5): It's JUST ok - The prices are appealing, but it's can be much better for what you pay, there are plenty of hotels around with the same value and better quality rooms, the rooms are not as it shows in the picture. The staff was cool and helpful. it's not very close to Metro station(Brt/Mrt/Lrt or whatever it it)
- 523rajp (2/5): one of the worst experience of my life. - extremely arrogant and unprofessional owner/manager . the website talked about a fitness center which did not exist. since i need to workout everyday i was extremely upset and i argued. finally did not check in. received only around 80% of the money i had paid online in simple and short stay/book this place at your own risk.
- Maik187400 (2/5): The worst hotel I ever seen in Bangkok - Please don't do the same fault like me and book this hotel because it's cheap.. you get nothing for that money.. the breakfast is not edible.. the room isn't clean.. they didn't make up and we didn't get any water again.. the bed is dirty with stains and hairs.. the bathroom have no shower at the toilet and it's also really dirty and broken there..never again
- tobiass68 (6/5): Average Hotel at central location - The Hotel is located very central near Lumpini Park.
The rooms itself are average, looking very used, but clean. Also the toilet flush was very shallow, could create issues. The choice of TV channels was quite large, but the TV itself was very small (installed may be 6 years ago?).
There is a fridge in the room.
The breakfast was very basic, with some fried eggs and rice and some toast.
The internet was sometimes interrupted by disconnects, but mostly ok (~4MBit).
We stayed here for one night, it was ok. Would not recommend for a longer stay.
- WiffenPaul (6/5): Budget hotel but well located - Stopped at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a trip round Thailand. Bangkok was new to me, but I was quite pleased as I settled in and got my bearings to understand the hotel was in a very good location for getting around. Right on the main Sathorn road which has Lumphini park on its doorstep. The park was only a 5 min walk as was Lumphini mall with a few shops and restaurants. Quite handy as it’s air conditioned and an escape from the heat and bustle. The metro also stops at the park, so it’s well located.
The hotel room was basic, but clean. The tv in the room didn’t seem to work, but then I didn’t travel all that way to watch tv. It was also pretty quiet, I had the air con on all the time, but even when off the traffic noise wasn’t obvious to me. Breakfast was also a little basic, but sufficient. Fruit, cereal, toast and a mix of Chinese buffet food. My hotel bed was very comfy and I was able to rest well while I stayed. It might not look great from outside, but for the money I paid and the location it was a good experience.
- Yu Mei (6/5): - Overall it was only a okay okay hotel, as there’s ants on top of the toilet bowl area, breakfast was okay, we had some problems where the hotel charge us more than what we booked. The tour desk woman’s attitude is terrible where it is located next to the lobby. We think that the tours were very expensive after listening to her explanation and she kept on bothering us even after we walked out she came out and ask us to consider again, and the next day also. The receptionist upgraded us to executive as we booked two superior. There is only one elevator at the right hand side and it’s small so ask for a room near to the elevator if possible.
- mizcof (10/5): Very best deals - The price of the room was very reasonable. Located in the business area. Not so close to the train station but it's fine if you take taxi from there first. Didn't try their food so don't have any comment. Room was big compare to the rate.
- archie_aquino (2/5): Very bad hotel and unprofessional staff - I had a chance to stay in this hotel. Actually, I booked for 15 days but, I had early check out because of unsecured, staff very unprofessional and feel unsafe. The staff opened the door at 01:00 am as he went to wrong room. Telephone in the room rang all the time. (Technical error)
As well as when you do any process with them it very slow and all staff not helpful.
Definitely I will not go back to stay again. Also I would like to tell everyone who looking for an awesome service, nice place and nice people. Please don’t stay in this hotel if you don’t want to feel unhappy like me. I don’t understand how they can run the business if they have no service mind and not helpful. I won’t go back to stay with them again for sure. Worst!!!! hotel I have ever been in my life. 0 star!!!
- Gemma (10/5): Perfect stay - The Embassy Sathorn was a fantastic place to stay. I stayed here for around a week and it was in a fantastic location, only a 10 minute walk to the nearest MRT station. There is a shop located just outside the hotel which is very convenient. It is also a 10 minute walk to the beautiful Lumphini Park which is not to be missed! I will definitely be staying here again upon my return to Thailand
- Rebecca1994x (6/5): Ok stay should have been better - We stayed here for 4 nights to start off our 3 week trip around Thailand. Having been given advice from people to stay in Sathorn we decided this hotel looked like the best bet. When we arrived at the airport and got a taxi the driver did not have any idea where the hotel was which did not hold us with much hope. When we finally did arrive at the hotel which was on the main road we were greeted by pleasant reception staff. Our stay was ok overall but had more negatives than positives. The hotel was in a good area with access to the MRT and therefore the tourist hotspots in Bangkok. It is on a busy road however we were at the back of the hotel so didn’t really hear the traffic. The rooms were spacious and have a lot of potential but are pretty grubby and because they do not have windows this makes them even worse. Our bedding had oil stains on it and was not changed throughout our stay, we struggled to portray our queries to the reception due to the language barrier. The cleaners also didn’t really clean the room properly and there was a lot of dust at the side and underneath the bed. The facilities such as the fitness suit was really only a cross trainer and a few weights and the photos overall do not represent what the hotel actually looks like. Breakfast was repetitive and with not many options, it put me off that the food; such as the cereal, fruit and milk was just put out in large bowls and left in the warmth.
Overall we expected a little better considering the reviews and in comparison to other hotels we have stayed at for the same price it is severely lacking.
- Kevin (10/5): Great service, but needs wifi in rooms - Very basic accomodations with excellent service. All the staff are very friendly and work very hard. Front desk staff helped with a package delivery. Breakfast was nice buffet with a variety of choices. Only negative is that WIFI is free but only available in the lobby. Very good accommodations for the price.
- sydneysteve (8/5): Close to many embassies - I stayed (overnight) here due to its proximity to my embassy. It is clearly an aged building but that's fine by me. As long as the bed sheets are clean, the aircon works, the hot water works and the cable TV works then that's all I need. Everything was fine. I was thankful that my room was at the back of the building because Sathorn road has a lot of traffic noise.
Not sure about their wifi as I use common sense and invest in an internet package. Having a 7-11 on the other side of the driveway is a bonus. I'll be happy to continue staying here when I have to attend my embassy.
- wonderingcorse (6/5): reasonable but could have been much better with a little effort. - 30 usd a night is about double my normal budget so i was hoping for a treat. didnt get it but didnt suffer either.
room location is critical in this n shaped hotel. as far as possible from the busy sathorn road and your sleep quality will improve dramatically. i was in the middle which wasnt so bad. slept ok.
very spacious room with a comfy bed but old stains on the walls and on the sheets really spoil the impression.
amazing bathroom with a great shower.
breakfast ok but somewhat lacking for vegetarians.
staff, friendly but not knowledgeable, the tour agency there quite the same.
the hotel is not that close to Lumpini mrt station. 10-15 minutes walk. if you carry serious luggage, take a taxi.
