• Alrubaiai (1/5): The worst hotel stay experience in my live after travelling to 30 countries. - nothing - The room very small - location very bad; in the middle of an Indian street is a very dirty and old building and smelly of Indian food all over the place. - Breakfast is the worst story: I paid around 40 Sin dollars for one day breakfast, it was a superise it is meanue based on a low-standard restaurant in the attached building. I will not eat for free from such low standard resturent. Also, it was vegetarian with barata and one drink (not worth the value I paid), The worst thing happened here, that notcied the waiter taking a photo for me without permission. When I asked him, he said he wanted to send this photo to their hotel group to confirm that I took my breakfast.

I guess a Punjabi guy. Very rude, not friendly at all.. I as customer he should respect me to guide me where the room. He getting angry if I asked questions.. some more when I was blur to find my room he quickly came n shouted at me I told u right u should take life to ground floor n your room number... • Darwin (2/5): No es fácil para turistas extranjeros - Por decir algo la ubicación , aunque está en little india Poca ayuda al momento de dejar un depósito tenía que ser en la moneda del país y no me aceptaron ni euros ni dólares, y cuando marché me tocó volver a cambiar ese dinero en el aeropuerto, porque cuando me devolvieron la fianza ya me estaba yendo del país, qué fácil hubiera sido que me hubieran aceptado los euros o dólares americanos no te ayudan para nada y te dicen que son las políticas del Hotel. El problema no era dejar depósito. El problema era que no te facilitaban la vida y tenías que dejar el dinero en su moneda local.. un turista cuando se marcha del país y te devuelven 100 $ de Singapur es un problema y al cambiarlo para comprar dólares ya estás perdiendo dinero, fatal.

Il letto con materasso ricoperto di finta pelle e le lenzuola scivolano via e lo stesso i cuscini. Stanze piccolissime ( circa 5 metri q.) Doccia senza box che quando la apri schizza ovunque; questo perché le dimensione del bagno sono meno di 1 metro q. Pagato la colazione dove la devi scegliere il giorno prima su un menù dove ti offrono solo 3/4 piatti orientali , mentre i croissant ci sono sul menù ma ti dicono non disponibili ( noi abbiamo scelto ma poi non abbiamo mangiato nulla perchè tutto orribile compreso il caffè). Quando fai il check-in ti chiedono una cauzione in contanti di 100 dollari che poi al mattino mi volevano rubare dandomi indietro solo 50 . Posto che dovrebbe solo chiudere . Sconsiglio vivamente

Then, we have a room in the basement, that when you come in smells like feet and mold, some unique perfume they might use. Seriusly, if you’re charging 120 aud for a shit place that has no window, at least spend 5 bucks in a room spray and get rid of the mold. And, as if that were not enough, the bed was hard, unpleasant to sleep. oh, and cockroaches might give you a goodnight kiss😄 so cute.

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. There was no space to place the luggage. The toilet and shower was a cubicle - all built in the small space. The toilet seat became wet after a shower. The reception wanted a SGD200 cash security deposit. . I did not have cash on me, but was told it was a must. I had just arrived from the airport, and had to navigate the unknown area to look for an ATM. Booked for two nights. Due to a change in plan we left the following morning. The reception was not manned. Left a note to refund my security deposit and was told by text they can't do a bank transfer. I asked them to post the money to my address instead. They stopped replying. The cost was $112 per night. This was overpriced in my opinion. The photos on the internet was very deceptive.

Towels were dingy and stained and the room felt unclean. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the hot water and there were no instructions given. Our room faced out on to the street and it was very noisy all night.

This place provides simple and convenient transportation the Rochor MRT is less than 1 minute walk. They do not provide coffee and tea sachet but you can get fresh tea and coffee at the door steps as plenty of eateries are available. Try to make direct booking on their website as going thru online agent will complicate your reservation with all the misinterpreting information. See you guys again soon. :)

I’m sharing this as a warning to other travelers. I booked a week-long stay, expecting payment to be taken upon arrival as per the terms. However, shortly after booking, the hotel unexpectedly requested an alternative payment method, despite my use of a reliable credit card. I complied, only to find my card was charged before arrival—contrary to the agreed terms. Worse still, my attempts to contact the hotel for clarification were ignored, leaving me no choice but to cancel my reservation. Despite repeated follow-ups, the hotel has not refunded the charge, showing a lack of accountability that feels harassing and exploitative. This incident is a stark contrast to Singapore’s reputation for integrity and hospitality. If you’re considering Sandpiper Hotel, exercise caution, verify payment terms, and be prepared for potential communication issues. This experience is an unfortunate exception in such a beautiful country.
