Room was lovely and clean and we found all the staff helpful throughout our stay - with nothing being too much trouble, for example lending us an adaptor as we'd forgotten ours.

Lots to do in the area. Not for everyone though if you haven’t been to Venice before. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but did use the bar which was very pleasant with great service- although with cocktails at 16euro a bit overpriced. (Did say 12Euro on website) Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very darkly decorated but relaxing. We had lovely view of canal and limited noise. Some of hotel could do with a lick of paint. When we left we were sent a message asking for a five star review which was annoying and probably explains the overall score. Is it the best hotel in Venice - unlikely - but it was good value and we liked the area.

The hotel is situated canal side in this lovely area which we particularly enjoyed . Everything about the hotel was great . It's immaculate , the service was fantastic and a lovely welcome including a nice surprise for my partners significant birthday . We booked a superior room and were again really delighted . Large comfy bed, lovely bathroom and super quiet overlooking the garden area . We enjoyed the breakfast a lot and there was plenty of choice for us . When we return to Venice , this will be our hotel of choice . Thanks for a great stay .
- Compass50097535877 (10/5): Spacious, family-friendly hotel in Venice with excellent service, attentive staff, and clean. - We traveled to Venice, Italy for the first time as a family of four with two teenage boys (14 and 13), and we had a wonderful stay at Carnival Palace Hotel. Before arriving, we were a little worried about the room size because we know many hotels in Italy can be quite small, and we thought our boys might have to sleep on a pull-out couch. To our surprise, the room was incredibly spacious. It felt like two rooms in one, a king bed for us and two separate twin beds for our boys. We stayed in room 123 and it was perfect for our family. The room was spotless and the bathroom was fantastic two sinks, a bidet, a shower, and a huge bathtub, which was a great bonus after long days exploring Venice. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and the staff in the breakfast room were incredibly attentive. Katerina was especially wonderful always greeting us with a big smile and making sure everything was perfect. The reception staff, Antony and Maddalena were also very helpful and gave us great recommendations for places to grab a bite around the city. The bartender at the hotel bar was friendly and welcoming as well. Another big plus for international travelers, everyone spoke English and Spanish very well, which made everything very easy for us. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice especially families traveling with children or teenagers. If you’re considering it for your trip, you won’t regret it!

Lots of great restaurants nearby and easy walking distance to everything, but the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful. Excellent staff, who were so friendly and helpful. - W225CCpatk (8/5): Carnival Palace is a good option - The hotel is in a neighborhood I highly recommend. It was my first time in this area, and I really enjoyed it. The hotel's advantage is its location near the canal used to get to the airport, two public transport boat stations, and the train station, just one block from one of the best restaurants in Cannargigio Agli Archi. The concierge service before your trip and throughout the day is excellent, with staff who speak several languages. The room is comfortable, clean, and has venetian theme but not cluttered decor. It might be a bit small for two people, but it was sufficient for me. The towels were particularly good, and there was a safe and a small refrigerator. I had an unpleasant experience with the housekeeping service. They didn't finish their shift and left the room incomplete. The room attendant took my electricity key, and I returned that night, which I found very inconvenient. The night staff wasn't professionally trained, and everything they did in a two-hour period only made things worse. I'm not giving the hotel a negative review because of this situation. For me, a problem can be resolved, and that's where the manager shows their quality. In this case, the manager never responded to my complaint, and if they now appear with apologies, obviously I won't accept them. I didn't use the breakfast service because I found it expensive, and when I asked what it consisted of, I didn't get a satisfactory answer. Although I didn't see anyone at the bar all week, partly because I didn't use it, it's on the way to the elevators. The bartender was very friendly when I asked for tea bags. There is no room dining service. So, be aware that you shouldn't leave your electricity activation card in your room. If you order something from your room, like toiletries, it will take a long time to arrive, and it might not be complete or it might not be what you asked. It should be noted that traversing the area requires significant walking; most bridges are equipped with steps rather than ramps, and numerous streets do not feature names or signage. The best news is that if you get lost, the locals are friendly. Even if they don't speak much English, they try to communicate and help tourists. I found the people wonderfully pleasant. You can pay all with credit cards, and go to Murano by public transportation, is simple and inexpensive. The art is everywhere, not only in the museums, enjoy the flowers and vegetables stands, the people, the neighborhood far form the most popular places. I am in love with Venice, you will too.

- 980siand (10/5): Lovely hotel on the canal - We loved our stay here we only stayed one night in a suite with canal view. We were two adults, an 8 and 10 year old. I was concerned before as to what the children would be sleeping on I wasn't sure if it was sofa beds but they were proper mattresses on the beds with a separating sliding door between them and the master bedroom area. The staff were all friendly and we loved the area. The water bus stops just outside, it is just a ten minute walk to the main station and there are plenty of lovely eateries just by - we recommend the very good restaurant! We were also able to get a gondola from the end of the street. For us it was perfect. Staff were super friendly and a lovely breakfast in the morning.

- Relax18775162047 (10/5): Amazing place to stay in Venice! Stayed twice and will be back ahain - Everything! It was our second time staying at carnival palace in Venice. It is on a quiet street only minutes of a walk from some of the main streets. There are restaurants and coffee shops right on the same block as the hotel. The hotel breakfast is one of the best I have had at hotels. The bar is nice and the bartender Massimo was my favorite! Every staff member we met was very nice and helpful with booking our water taxi, calling and waking us up when we slept in , oops, thank god they did or we would have missed our flight! We have stayed all over Italy from the north to the south and carnival palace is comfortable clean and the best sized bathroom at a hotel we have experienced there. The price is right for what a gem of a place it is. We walked all over Venice and it takes about 25-30 mins to get to st marks square on the other side. We prefer being on the other side so we can stroll through all the quiet streets and in and out of the busy areas along the way . Missing Venice already and we just arrived home.

Stayed in the Red suite which was a great room with a great bed and good for entertaining friends. The hotel staff could not have been more attentive and the wait staff in the breakfast room were wonderful.

The location was exactly what we wanted- close to local bars and restaurants, and far enough from the heavy tourist spots (but a perfect walking distance from all of them). The concierge staff was friendly and helpful. I reached out to them a few weeks before my trip with questions, and they helped me with each and every one of them. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great! We will definitely book this hotel the next time we visit Venice.

It's also situated just outside the more busy part of venice which we preffered and has some nice bars/restuarants on the street.

Your shower was very nice with the handheld and rainfall head. They had all the amenities there. We did not have breakfast because our time like our jet lag do not allow. It looked very nice. The staff is very friendly. We met a wonderful bartender that really help us out was many group tips to visit Venice. The delivery of the dirty laundry could be a little bit less disruptive in the morning apart from that everything was wonderful.

I ordered some extras for the room, and these were delivered better than I expected. The rooms were lovely. The canal view was spectacular. The breakfast was fantastic. And the bar was a perfect stop to start or end your night! The location i personally thought was great. 15 mins away from the bus station. The hotel service was excellent. 24/7 receptionists are very friendly and always ready to help. The room had the best pillows and mattress. The hotel contacted us in advance and we were able to organise all the tours we wanted to do. There is a nice bar with a great cocktail selection. Everything was excellent and helped us enjoy our stay in Venice!

The ladies working in the breakfast area were also very kind and attentive. It’s a pity we could only stay one night because we would definitely come back. They also offer free luggage storage, which is very convenient if you want to explore the city before your departure.

I watched the front desk help an elderly couple get their luggage to their taxi at 0415. Clean room Comfortable hotel Great staff Quiet area. Not overly touristy. We had stayed there in June at the end of an Adriatic cruise and had enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to return for our autumn break. It is a lovely hotel with well appointed rooms and an excellent breakfast. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated away from the crowds but is close to three Vaporetto stops from which it is easy to get to anywhere in Venice and the islands of Murano and Burano. There are several excellent restaurants nearby and it is a pleasant walk to Strada Nuova and Venice Santa Lucia railway station. We will certainly return again.

- KeenPhotographer-11 (10/5): Well Deserves Its Consistent Great Reviews - A 10 out of 10 stay. This was a return visit to this hotel after first staying there approx 12 years ago. Great professional and always helpful staff at all levels. Our Superior Double bed room was spotlessly clean, large for Europe and very comfortable. The mattress was firm which is very much to our liking and the std pillows supplied were the best of 4 weeks travelling across Europe; because they were also firm and thus practical. The in room air con was a god send when mid Sept outside temp maxs were still 25 – 28 C. The in room fridge though struggled to get down to 8 C which was just suitable for my medication. Best to not open a window as there were lots of mosquitoes out and about outside with the odd one getting into the room from the corridor. Breakfast was pleasing with yoghurt and fresh fruits and some pre-cooked items + salads. Always a shame though in a 4 star stay that the pre-cooked food is not kept food safe warm. The location is perfect as it is way less busy than central Venice but there is still good ferry access and the railway station is a 10-20 min walk away. At approx $530 AUD / night by booking direct it is a good price for Venice. Their city tax is then extra on that price. The little canal side restaurant close by called "Very Good" is highly recommended especially for its freshly made pasta. We ate there all 3 nights of our stay. Friendly efficient staff there too.

The location was just a 10 minute walk to the train station which was fantastic, and from the property you could walk to any destination within venice in 30 minutes. The actual location is just off of the busier streets which was a big plus in my eyes. The room was incredibly comfortable as well the view of the courtyard was fantastic. The staff were all super friendly as well and always willing to give a great recommendation for dinner. I would highly recommend staying here.

The location is perfect for a water taxi ride from the airport. There is a dock right in front of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was not feeling well one evening and Clement at the front desk was so kind, he called and got in touch with a doctor and made us a small pizza. (turns out I was just exhausted and dehydrated!) The room was clean and comfortable. I love that there was a separate bathtub so you could have a soak after a long day of walking. We will stay here again!

The finishings and furnishings of the room were poorly kept. We were told the water taxi to the airport could be paid with card. The company that was arranged was incredibly rude and charged us 10% for using our card which was €20. The hotel is also a 30 minute walk from most attractions . I would not recommend.

It is in front of the canal with water bus stop to St Marcos and to Murano in less than 2 min walk. It is far from main streets which helped for quiet good night sleep (went to bed 9pm due to time change). Staff was very friendly and helpful.. like everyone of them. Breakfast was not excellent but good enough (I had better ones in other 4 star hotels around Europe). There are two elevators which made it easy to go up and down. Overall, this is a hotel I would recommend to anyone who is looking for similar needs.

Great bar that was hopping at night and a variety of food for breakfast in the morning with wonderful wait staff. Bed was comfy, room was clean and spacious and bathroom was clean and updated. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and answered all our questions with a smile. We stayed one night before our transfer to Rovenna for our cruise but simply loved it.
- rstark223 (10/5): A fabulous stay at Carnival Palace - Carnival Palace is my new favorite hotel in Venice, and I’ve stayed at plenty of them! It’s so perfectly located: a simple 12 minute walk (and even shorter water bus ride) from the train station. But it’s also in a peaceful quiet corner of the city. It was such a treat to come home to each day after dealing with the hordes of tourists in the other areas. The room was fabulous, and the staff treated us like true VIP’s with all kinds of special touches. And don’t sleep on the bar! We didn’t try it until the last hour we were there, but were very impressed with the excellent service and talented bartenders. Also, it was very easy to jump on the Alilaguna to the airport from the Guglia stop (3 minutes from the hotel). We took the 7:15pm at sunset (beautiful!!) and in half an hour were at the airport for just 18 euro. A fraction of the cost of a water taxi.

I told them it was my son’s birthday the next day. When we got back to our hotel room after celebrating the following day, the hotel had decorated our hotel room with a big 6 balloon and lots of other balloons. They left a thoughtful note to him too. This meant EVERYTHING to him. It was so kind and went way above and beyond our expectations. Thank you so much for helping to make my son’s birthday truly unforgettable. The room was set up perfect with sliding door between where my husband and I slept and my child. Nice, spacious shower, lots of seating and the room felt comfortable and spacious. The air conditioning worked well, too. The breakfast was great and included a variety of foods. My kids were obsessed with the waffle cookies. I really have nothing negative to say and I would stay here again, without hesitation.

The set up with separate beds for each kid is a great set up for families - though one of the beds is significantly more comfortable than the other. We enjoyed being in a quieter part of Venice, though still conveniently linked to the main sights by vaporetto just outside. Finally, it was very hot during our stay and the air conditioning stood up to the 90+ degree temperatures.

The staff was so friendly and helpful with scheduling anything such as a water taxi to the airport, restaurant reservations, and tours of the Islands. The location is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, but still conveniently close to all the main attractions and easy to get around. Max, the bartender, truly elevated our evenings—his cocktails were incredible, and he had great dinner recommendations that never missed. He’s not just mixing drinks; he’s creating experiences. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide selection of fresh, delicious options to suit all tastes—plenty of variety and everything was top quality. The hotel staff went above and beyond, helping us book local tours and securing dinner reservations, which made our stay so much smoother and more enjoyable. This hotel strikes the perfect balance of comfort, service, and location. We’d definitely stay here again!
