- Aivie (10/5): - Hotel Los Canelos in El Calafate has proven to be an excellent choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a bit more modest, typical for Argentina, but good enough to start the day. To my surprise, the hotel offers a laundry service. A bag of 5 kilos of clothing for (American) $20. By Argentine standards, that is cheaper than I expected. By the way, we got the laundry back clean and folded the same afternoon. Another thing to keep in mind when staying at this hotel is that the walk to the center is quite a walk both up and downhill. For travelers who have difficulty walking, this can be a challenge. Furthermore, it is very pleasant to 'come home' to this hotel. We enjoyed a bottle of espumante (bubbles) after dinner, 2 evenings. Paid 30,000 pesos per bottle, approximately €27, that was reasonable priced. The hotel has strict rules. When you enter the room there is an A4 with a kind of 10 commandments that you have to adhere to. For example, do not bring food or drinks from outside into the hotel room. Or losing your room key will result in a fine of 100 dollars. All in all, this was a very pleasant, nice and quiet place for us to stay and highly recommended!

Cadre magnifique, vue superbe, chambre spacieuse et confortable. Intérieur en pierre et bois, typique d'un chalet. Très cosy. Petit déjeuner parfait avec tout ce qu'il faut, produit sur place ou local. Je recommande vivement.

- SHERYLL (10/5): - accessibility, easy check-in and out, great locations with comfortable beddings I wish elevator's updated though didn't hurt. Tiny & narrow only can fit 2people at a time with luggages. Overall will come again and highly recommended.

Tiene una terraza con vista hermosa al lago Argentino y a la Cordillera de Los Andes. Lo único que recomendaría mejorar es el servicio de alimentos, ya que no ofrecen cena ni tienen un menú, se necesita al menos uno sencillo, sobretodo por la noche ya que si uno quiere traer comida de fuera no te prestan ni una mesa donde comer. Fuera de eso es un lugar precioso y yo regresaría con gusto.

- Avrohom (10/5): Amazing view and unique feel - This hotel is one of a king with a truly unique boutique atmosphere. It’s a quaint small hotel with a few cozy rooms very clean and comfortable. The lobby has an amazing view of the lake and forest it’s worth a visit just for that. There is a huge area and grounds outside to enjoy the view or eat breakfast. The rooms also have a breathtaking view provided you get a room in the back (front rooms are reg but still nice)The hotel is a luxury style log cabin build and every corner has a wonderful feel to it. The restaurant in the lobby is delicious and we kept coming back. Try the lamb roll You will Remember it. The service can improve greatly and at times we wondered if it was worth it with under par service. But the staff did warm up to us and it definitely was a great memorable stay.

- Jackie (8/5): - It’s a beautiful place but very strict with their rules. Lovely view from our room but weren’t allowed to have a glass of wine or coffee in there to enjoy. Had to sit at specific tables to have breakfast, away from the windows of the beautiful view.
- NICK (8/5): - Great outdoor deck and communal area at this lodge. Walking distance to town but far enough away to be quiet. Get a room away from the main street as it can be noisy if the windows are open. Small rooms but comfortable and clean.

- Alyson (10/5): Convenient location, very clean - This hotel is in a great location, quite close to the main street where there is a good range of restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel is very clean, warm and welcoming although the bedroom is a little small. Staff are helpful and the owner quickly sorted out a problem that we had with our transfer to the airport. Beautiful views from our room which was at the back of the hotel. If you are a European visitor, please note that many of the hotels in Argentina do not provide sink plugs so my partner had to 'stuff' the plug with paper in order to get a shave.

She gave us the impression that she didn’t trust us, at breakfast there was always some staff looking that we don’t “steel” food. When I asked if i can take something with me instead of eating it in the hotel she refused. It gave us an unpleasant feeling of not beeing welcome.

Good extensive breakfast with lots of choice of either hot or cold food. We are the scrambled eggs! Cakes were good too. Staff attended to our requests courteously and gave good instructions where to find nice places to visit.

- genny (10/5): Home away from home - Hotel Canelos is tucked away from the main drag of El Calafate, but close enough to walk to the main street and a museum. The lady and gentleman who grret you when you check in are warm, friendly, thoughtful and very helpful. The rooms are lovely, cozy and very clean. It is a quiet, with just a few rooms and it exudes a very homey atmosphere. Moreover, you can have your dinners at this hotel, and the meals are tasty and varied. I would not hesitate to stay here if I have the chance to visit El Calafate again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Pretty hotel but don't forget your room key - We inadvertently left our ONE hotel room key inside the room and were locked out. We were charged the equivalent of $35 (500 argentine pesos) to get back in and get it. Very little English spoken here. Be prepared to communicate in Spanish.
- Sree (10/5): Nice hotel closer to town and friendly owners - Nice, clean and well maintained hotel, very close to town, nice owners, friendly and helpful, decent breakfast, it was a great experience overall. She helped me checking in early and also with power adapters and printouts of boarding passes.

- Mai (6/5): - The people worked there are nice, and very helpful. But they don't speak English. If you don't speak Spanish, it will be difficult to communication between each other. This hotel requires cash payment regardless the room was booked online with credit card. Fortunately, this was the only hotel didn’t take the credit card during my trip in Argentina.
