• Nele (10/5): Wir kommen wieder! - Moderne, saubere und gemütliche Unterkunft. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, höflich und hatte immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Ein früheres Einchecken wurde uns ermöglicht und nach dem Auschecken konnten wir unser Gepäck stehen lassen.

• Nicolai (10/5): - kamer was mooi en proper, elke dag werd de kamer gekuist en mooi opgemaakt. personeel was super vriendelijk en nog voor mijn vertrek belden ze me op voor de vluchtnummer zodat ze konden inschatten wanneer we zouden toekomen. ook zeer behulpzaam met mijn vragen via telefoon hotel is in een typisch italiaans woningblok met een antiek nostalgische lift, zalig om deze te gebruiken. ligging was in een winkelstraat met het vaticaan zeer dichtbij en tal van restaurantjes, kleine supermarket die groter is dan het lijkt. ijsbar, ontbijtbars en geldautomaat en een metro op een 15 min. wandelen. kortom, zeer positieve ervaring. alhoewel de lift zalig was om te gebruiken en nostalgie opwekte naar het oude Italië, was de kooi niet proper. het hotel kan hier wel niet veel aan doen, daar het eigendom is van heel het blok.

• Joana (9/5): Excelente relação qualidade-preço - Localização é optima. Muito perto da Praça de S. Pedro e 20/30 minutos a pé de outras atrações. O quarto é limpo, cuidado e o staff muito acessivel. As camas são confortáveis. A água do duche não tinha muita pressão. Os quartos não são nada insonorizados, ouve-se tudo dos outros quartos.

• Ragini (8/5): Great reasonable price close to Vatican - The absolute best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were super helpful on numerous occasions. The property is part of a larger building that includes another hotel and some apartments. This hotel is on the top floor which means it has lovely views of the surrounding streets and even the dome of St Peter’s. The downside of being on the top floor is that people who don’t know how to use the elevator often leave a door open meaning you have to walk up six flights of stairs! This isn’t the hotel’s fault and they literally tell you how to close all the doors several times but other guests here just seem clueless. The room itself is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is also a good size and the shower has good water pressure. We stayed in this location for a conference near the Vatican and it was super convenient for that. It’s also close to metro and bus lines so you can basically get anywhere in Rome from nearby. If you need or want to stay in this area, it’s a great option at a reasonable price. The elevator situation is a bit frustrating but again not at all the hotel’s fault. Also this hotel is fairly basic in appearance and amenities but its reasonable price reflects that.

Scarsa comunicazione tra il personale gestore, mi hanno messo a disagio dopo avermi detto, la sera dell'arrivo, che potevo lasciare i bagagli presso la struttura a guisa di deposito. Ho trovato particolarmente fastidiosa la telefonata fattami quando ero già da qualche ora fuori dalla struttura per le mie esigenze, da una seconda persona dello staff, che mi invitava ad effettuare il check out nonostante avessi preso accordi col collega del turno serale. Tornato appositamente presso il B&B (senza la B del breackfast) mi veniva offerta la possibilità di depositare i bagagli. Non ho accettato perché non trovo coerente tutto quanto accaduto.

• Julie (9/5): Very nice hotel! - The staff were very informative and kind. Recommended some very yummy food spots. The hotel room was very clean and comfy beds. The air conditioning worked well. The old elevator was very cute and fun! Good area as well, it was nice and quiet. No negatives.

• David (7/5): Great location, but not real hotel. - Location is great, in the surroundings many good spots to have coffee or dine. Walking distance to St.Peter’s and metro (Ottaviano). Really very kind and helpful staff. They call themselves a hotel, but in reality it is 1 floor in the complex of buildings. Same entry with one more hotel, private apartments and firms. No 24h reception what you expect normally from hotel. Some parts of the room were not really clean.

• JOHN (8/5): - It was an excellent location for visiting the Vatican area of Rome. The only downside is you have to access the rooms via a very small elevator. If you bring large luggage it will be somewhat difficult to navigate easily. But the accommodations are excellent!!!!

• Marco Andrea (7/5): Ottima location ma prezzo decisamente elevato. - Location eccellente, vicina alla fermata della metropolitana (Ottaviano) ed ed al Vaticano; stanze dell'hotel abbastanza spaziose, pulite ed appena rinnovate; lobby piccina ma luminosa. Prezzo decisamente molto molto elevato per un 3 stelle (e non hanno neppure offerto i 2 euro della bottiglietta d'acqua del minibar, come beau geste). L'ascensore per arrivare all'hotel (la lobby è al sesto piano di un palazzo) è vetusto e molto piccolo: siamo stati costretti a fare più giri per portare su e giù passeggino e bagagli.

Unlike other hotels we visited, this one did not have coffee in the room, but was available at the front desk if you ordered and paid for it.

• Holly (8/5): Good stay/elevator iffy - Definitely a cute hotel located on the 6th floor of an apartment building. The hotel itself was clean, except there was definitely a little dusting that still needed attending to. We had some things on the floor that got covered in dust so someone could have done a better sweep. Overall, the amenities were nice and the mini fridge prices were pretty reasonable for a hotel. Service was great and could provide a taxi within just a few minutes. The only big issue I had with this hotel was that if someone didn’t shut the elevator door all the way, it didn’t work. So being on the sixth floor, we sometimes had to walk up or down six flights of stairs, which isn’t terrible, but not exactly great when you’re hot and sweaty from exploring Rome in the summertime. Luckily it worked for bringing up and down our luggage or I would have been more upset. Overall a great stay, but I would definitely make sure that you’re in great shape before staying here, in case of the elevator being out of commission.

Instead, the hotel is on the sixth floor of this apartment building. From our window, we had a nice view. There are a lot of stores, cafes, restaurants, etc., nearby. I would stay here again. I definitely recommend The Boutique Hotel.

Lots of great shopping around, great restaurants and gelato places, all within walking distance. Staff is friendly and helpful, hotel is very clean and rooms are comfortable with a great view. • Xiomara (10/5): - I must start my review with commending Angelica's kind services. She went above and beyond starting months in advance of our stay. We felt seen by her listening to our needs and making sure our stay was pleasant at all times. We rented two rooms for our family of 6 and felt comfortable in each. The rooms are clean and quiet. The location is within walking distance to The Vatican, Vatican Museums, eateries and shopping. It was easy to find transportation to other historical sites. Nice, comfortable hotels are only made better by their staff. Anjelica does this for The Boutique. We will definitely stay here in our future trips to Rome!

• Isabel (9/5): Excellent hotel to visit the Vatican - We had a family room and the children got 2 separarte beds, which was great. Vinny the receptionist was great, very accommodating and polite. Cleaning lady too. The hotel is clean and safe. We would be back. My only issue were the pillows- memory foam isn’t great for everybody, could have done with soft and fluffy pillows to mix.

• vivienne (3/5): The hotel and hosts appeared more focused on avoiding responsibility than on helping their guests. - The location is very close to vatican, only 10~15 minutes walk. The beds are comfortable; room size is between OK and good; the bathroom size is small, cleanness is OK, but the bath area should have a door or curtain to block the water spillover everywhere. The bathroom should have a door or curtain to prevent water from spilling everywhere. The building lost electricity at 8 PM on our first night and didn’t have it restored until late afternoon the next day—around 6 or 7 PM. This happened in July during a heat wave in Rome. While the owner claimed the power outage was beyond his control, it was unacceptable that the hotel didn’t offer guests the option to move to another property with electricity and air conditioning. Worse, the hotel/owner made no attempt to offer compensation until I repeatedly complained about the extreme room temperature and the fact that we couldn’t charge our cell phones—something especially critical for visitors relying on them for navigation and communication. I had to insist multiple times on being moved to another hotel with functioning air conditioning. In the end, the only compensation offered was two breakfast coupons, each redeemable for just one coffee and one standard croissant. Fortunately, the hotel had initially asked us to pay the city tax in cash at check-in, but I didn’t have enough cash on hand—and this requirement had never been communicated during the booking process. As part of the compensation, they agreed to waive the city tax. I stayed at another hotel at the end of the trip in Rome, and compared to the service and hospitality there, this hotel and its hosts felt more like a 1- or 2-star experience—despite charging more than what you'd typically pay for a 3-star hotel.

• Genet (8/5): If you want a place near Vatican City this is a perfect place. - Room and bathroom was clean. Location was perfect for us since our main reason was to visit the Vatican. Staff were very helpful. They are very informative about the area. It is a little hard to find the location at first.
