- Sergesto (3/5): no nos pareció un hotel 5 estrellas - personal muy amable, la ubicación del hotel es buena. sin frigobar, pasillos oscuros con iluminación de luz fría, aire acondicionado no se podía cambiar a modo frío, baño con puerta hinchada por la humedad, nos hicieron firmar para prestarnos un adaptador de corriente de 2 dólares (los enchufes eran todos del mismo tipo), cuando llegamos no había nadie para ayudarnos a subir las valijas, nadie nos acompañó, subimos solos.

Restaurante con una refinada propuesta. Ante un problema de regulación de aire en nuestra habitación nos hicieron un up grade sin costo en forma inmediata En gran parte de las habitaciones el sistema de aire es central por lo que no puede regularse la temperatura En la Junior Suite podía regularlo pero el equipo es extremadamente ruidoso. Eso podría mejorarse.

Great breakfast in a beautiful bright garden room. The bar was elegant,the bartender served excellent drinks. There is a very nice rooftop terrace adjacent to a nice little gym. The staff was terrific. They were so helpful and friendly. The staff was the best part. The hotel is in an excellent location close to parks and many restaurants. We will stay here again. - wannabetraveler45 (10/5): Can't wait to return - This hotel was a true delight in every way. First, our plane was delayed, so we arrived after midnight, instead of our projected arrival of 3pm...quite a difference. I messaged the hotel and they were so gracious and expressed concern for me, not themselves. I know hotels, "man" their desks, 24-7, but I didn't expect the warm welcome we received. The hotel itself is a, "work of art." It is so beautifully appointed, yet has a comfortable, home-like feeling. Prior reviews were right, they assisted us with arrangements for several excursions. On our last day, we asked them to arrange for a cab that could drive us around to see the sites at a more micro-level. The driver was perfect and exactly met our needs. We were within walking distance of the hop-on-hop off and many restaurants. We also went to the local mall, which was fun...very different from our malls at home. Let me also comment about the hotel's daily breakfast...wow! The food was so fresh, and so well presented. We couldn't wait to get downstairs every morning and partake of all the delicious goodies. I'm sorry I did not get the attendants name. She was so warm and friendly...everyone was. I can't wait to return.

- rita (10/5): Comfortable stay in a historic hotel in the best district of Buenos Aires - Lovely old historic hotel in the best location in Buenos Aires, with lovely helpful staff. We arrived off an overnight flight and they allowed us to check in at 9.30am because they had a room available. Bathroom was a good size, with a great shower, large soft towels & bathrobes. The bed was very big and very comfortable with crisp white linens and comfortable pillows. Breakfast was excellent: juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit and pastries, cakes and breads. The cooked options were very good too- we had beautiful soft omeletttes that were cooked perfectly. We’d definitely stay there again. Nothing.

They are friendly, welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable and will make reservations, get cabs, give you all kinds of information for you too. The only little problem is the breakfast which needs an upgrade to better quality. The coffee especially needs major improvement!

- Rose Marie (4/5): It is obvious that this hotel used to be nicer but for the price, it did not deliver. Mostly the issues concerned the a - Location. Quiet. The elevator worked well. Staff were generally pleasant. I woke up one night with water all over the bathroom floor. The room above me had some problem and water went through the ceiling and dripped through the light fixtures. I was leaving the next day so I suggested they wait to repair. I had noticed ceiling water stains a couple days before, so it had happened prior. On daily housekeeping, my coffee maker was not cleaned, spent grounds were left in the filter and the pot was not rinsed. New coffee was not provided and I ran out on day one never receiving any more. Sugar was not replaced either. No cream substitute was provided at all. Bottled water that was provided daily in my room did not taste right. I asked the front desk why it tasted like coconut water (slightly sweet/salty) and if they themselves bottled it. They confirmed using a on-site filtration process. I had diarrhea for five of the six days I was there. It COULD have been something else but I did not like the obvious taste in their provided water. On my entire trip of one month, I drank bottled water elsewhere and did not get stomach upset. I had to go out and buy bottled water when I had already drunk 4-5 bottles of the hotel's "water". Breakfast was minimal, not enough variety. Cereal was available but I had to ask for milk, or yogurt. Milk always came at room temperature, not cold.

- Sinisa (2/5): Absolutely not a 5* hotel, it is rather a 2* - Lcation and the staffs It was like a 2* hotel. Its categorisation of 5* is a scam. It looks so poor and sad like in horror movies. It is all old and dated. The room has no fridge, no bathing coats, no slippers, no liquid soap, toilet stucks, and so on.. The carpet was dirty. There was some strange plastic thing in our safe, beeping like a bomb…it was really awkward. The hotel is almost empty with only few guests and only few staff members who are very kind and giving their best to provide something out of nothing. The breakfast is so poor too, one kind of cheese and ham, they call it selection. Bread was also poor and attacked by some insects. If you want bacon our anything with your eggs you need to pay extra 9USD. There is no pool while gym and sauna are ridiculously poor.

- Rafael (10/5): Excelente hotel a muy buen precio - El desayuno muy superior a los otros hoteles en los que me he quedado en Buenos Aires. Las medialunas, el jugo de naranja recién exprimido y la panceta crocante, espectaculares. La ubicación inmejorable y todos son híper amables. Me hubiese gustado un pequeño frigobar en la habitación pero no era imprescindible.

Lovely restaurant with excellent service and still very reasonable. Quiet, safe residential area yet very close to sights and quality restaurants in Recoleta.
