• Sabine_I (9/5): Frisch renoviertes Hotel in Bahnhofsnähe - Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Gehminuten sowohl vom Bahnhof Maria Zembrano als auch zum Busbahnhof und 10 bis 20 Minuten von den Sehenswürdigkeiten in der historische Altstadt entfernt. Die beiden Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmeretagen schienen erst vor kurzem renoviert und mein Einzelzimmer mit französischem Bett war komplett neu ausgestattet einschl. eines zwar winzigen, aber sehr schön renovierten Badezimmers. Da das Zimmer zu einem Innenhof ging, war es sehr ruhig. Ich habe im Bad eine Ablagemöglichkeit vermisst und eine Auswahl an Kopfkissen, weil das vorhandene für mich viel zu hoch und fest war.

• Christopher (1/5): Awful from start to finish for the reasons mentioned. - Nothing, the day started bad once we could get into the rooms and got worse from there. On entering our two seperate rooms the smell in the rooms just about knocked us out. There was a really strong presumably cleaning producy that caught your breath and was completely unbearable. We thought a cleaner must have sprayed something with bleach or similar around and a bit too much as you could not sit in the room the smell was so bad so we opened the windows in each room and went out for a walk to hopefully let the smell dilute or better still clear. we got back to the rooms around 9.00 pm and the smell had not gone, I went down to reception and they said they could move one room but "we should have mentioned it earlier." my friend moved all her stuff into anothe rroom on another floor but was told they could only move one of us! It was that bad my friend was considering going to the hospital as she was feeling sick and light headed due to the strong smell. I had to stay in my room and too late to move hotels and slept in a chair by the open window and air con on full. Breakfast was the worst breakfast I have ever encountered and I travel a lot through work to many hotels. The hot cabinet housed scramble eggs, beans and a cheap sausage all cold, if it was free I would have felt cheated but 9.5 euro was a joke wish i had gone out for breakfast.

Pleasant staff. - Hotel is located practically opposite the main bus and train stations (direct to airport) and.stop one of the hop on bus (I use in every city. 2 day ticket includes the short cruise and other places). with local bus stops too. Great shopping malls. One night had a free concert on the steps of one. Jazz and blues band. Wonderful girl singer. The rooms are built round a small courtyard which I found a bit unusual but means there is no street noise. It is being updated at the moment but I found the bathroom very modern. Breakfast as included. Usual continental ham and cheese, cereal, fruit etc and a couple of warm items. Omelette, beans, small hot dog sausages and plenty breads etc. Something for all. There is a nice reading room where you can leave your old book and take a new one which is a pet of mine as a lone traveller. As always with non British hotels, a kettle would be great. I take my own tea bags etc. Also ice or a mini fridge would be great. Otherwise couldn't fault it. One small thing is the cups in every hotel are too small for a decent cup of tea so I usually take my own.Had to use the paper one from the bathroom.

Supermercati, panetterie e molti altri servizi nelle immediate vicinanze. La finestra della stanza dava su un cortile interno e non c'era molto ricambio di aria.

• Silvia (9/5): Soggiorno ottimo! - La posizione è molto buona, molto vicino al centro. Struttura pulita e col fatto che le finestre delle stanze sono interne e danno in un pozzo luce si dormiva perfettamente per il silenzio che c’era. Il personale sempre disponibile e gentile. Da migliorare solo la colazione con qualche varietà in più sul dolce. Ma nel complesso veramente un ottimo hotel.

• Ana (8/5): Hotel muito simpático no centro de Málaga - A localizaçâo é muito boa, a 15minutos do centro e a 15 minutos do aeroporto. A recepção funciona 24 horas e o staff é sem excepções de uma simpatia extrema, sempre que pedi ajuda atenderam sempre os meus pedidos. Todo o espaço do hotel e dos quartos é muito bem limpo. O único comentário negativo que tenho a fazer é sobre o isolamento acústico do hotel, que é muito pobre ou inexistente.

No había aparcamiento por los alrededores tuvimos que aparcar en la estación del tren. Fuimos exclusivamente para ver al cristo de Mena y nos vinimos sin verlo, ni en el puerto ni en la capilla.

• Lisa (4/5): De volgende keer kies ik een andere. - Het personeel was erg vriendelijk! De kamer was goed onderhouden en schoon, het bed sliep goed. Ook de douche was erg comfortabel! Het was enorm gehorig. Verder zat de raam aan de kant van de binnenplaats en kon je echt niet zien of het buiten bewolkt of zonnig was. Er was totaal geen frisse lucht in het gehele gebouw waardoor ik hoofdpijn kreeg. De kamer was enorm benauwd en heet (26 graden) waardoor de airco hoog stond en ik enorm verkouden werd. De airco zag er overigens ook viezig uit: veel stof in de kleppen. Verder werd ik elke ochtend rond 05:45 uur wakker gemaakt door gasten (vaak met huilende baby's). Het voelde alsof ik in een kelder verbleef.

• Diana (2/5): - The staff was nice taking into consideration On the first night, they put us in room 202 (9th april), which faces directly to the main street. The problem was the windows directed to the street, that allowed all the noise of the cars passing by or people screaming in the street. The noise was so loud that we couldn't sleep and my husband got up and stayed at the lounge on the bottom floor from 5.30 a.m . He complained at that time, but at that moment the staff could not help by changing to another room. The receptionist at that time asked us to wait until 9.00 am, to change rooms, in order to check the Hotel vacancy. We waited until 9.00 am in the lobby and spoke with the morning receptionist. He managed to change us into the interior room 209 on 10th april. We went for a walk in the city during the morning and early afternoon but since we couldn't sleep that night, we returned around 3.30 p.m. to our new room. At 3.30 p.m. there were some major works on the floor above, with hammering, drills and a lot of dust everywhere. Once again we couldn't stay in the room, so we returned again to the reception and complained about the noise, the dust and an air conditioning not working.The receptionist explained that there was some works happening on the floor above and that they were going to finish at 4.00 p.m. They finished working at 5.20 pm. Again on that day, we changed to a new room, the 306. The room 306 had the air conditioning working and was quieter since it was an interior room, but the temperature of the shower was rapidly changing from hot to slightly worm on the morning after around 8.30 there was someone trying to enter the room. We imagine that was a cleaning lady who was not informed of the new rooms' availability. It was a scare.

• Martin (8/5): Malaga Hotel Don Paco - El hotel tiene una muy buena ubicación, especialmente si llegas en tren, ya que está cerca de la estación y a una distancia razonable a pie del centro. Las habitaciones estaban limpias y el personal fue amable y servicial durante toda la estancia. En general, se puede valorar positivamente la relación calidad-precio. Hotel má velmi dobrou polohu, zejména pokud přijíždíte vlakem, protože se nachází v blízkosti nádraží a zároveň v docházkové vzdálenosti do centra města. Pokoje jsou čisté a personál byl během pobytu vstřícný a ochotný. Celkově lze ocenit dobrý poměr ceny a kvality. Por otro lado, se nota que el hotel es bastante sencillo y en algunos aspectos necesitaría una renovación. También hay un aislamiento acústico deficiente, ya que se escucha el ruido del pasillo y de otras habitaciones. Sin embargo, el mayor inconveniente fue que la habitación no tenía una ventana con acceso a aire fresco. La ventana daba a un espacio interior cerrado, sin posibilidad real de ventilación. Esta información no estaba indicada en la descripción de la habitación y, en mi caso, habría sido un factor decisivo a la hora de elegir el alojamiento. Na druhou stranu je znát, že hotel je spíše jednodušší a místy by zasloužil modernizaci. Nevýhodou je také horší odhlučnění – hluk z chodby nebo vedlejších pokojů je poměrně slyšitelný. Za zásadní nedostatek však považuji skutečnost, že pokoj neměl okno na čerstvý vzduch. Okno bylo orientováno do vnitřního uzavřeného prostoru (vnitrobloku), bez reálné možnosti větrání. Tato informace nebyla uvedena v popisu pokoje a pro mě by byla při výběru ubytování rozhodující.

• Suzanne (10/5): Super hotel for touring and for the station - Five minutes walk from the main train station so Hotel Don Paco is in a great place for touring the region. The staff were incredibly friendly. I was a solo traveller and felt very safe. It seemed like my room was newly refurbished - super shower room and everything very clean and tidy. Can walk to a lovely beach front promenade - and the beach - and a bit further in the other direction to the old town. Would recommend as a stop-over close to the station, or as a touring base. Would stay again. All was good
