- M (10/5): - It was a pleasant stay. Close to Meguro train station. The location is convenient to go anywhere. The hotel is old. Very quiet. Clean and well-equipped. The check out time 12 noon is good for me. If you don’t expect extra fancy stuff and just sleep, I recommend this hotel.

Also, we had requested a non-smoking room but at first we were put in a smoking room, which smelled of stale tobacco. We told the receptionist that we had requested a non-smoking room, and were given one the next day. We were happy with the second room, and were even able to see Fujiyama from it.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great staff, location and big room size ! - The hotel princess garden is located conveniently near meguro station and has rooms which are large compared to others we have stayed in in Tokyo. The hotels staff are very kind and the breakfast delicious. The only reason we didn't rate the hotel higher is that it is getting a little tired and could do with some rejuvenation of the bathrooms and beds.
- nelson (8/5): Good hotel. - Our room was very small, but this may be typical for Tokyo. We upgraded to a deluxe double room and it was better. The beds were too hard. Our room was too hot and we learned that there is one thermostat for the entire building. So, while the lobby was nice a cool, our room was too warm. The breakfast was good with a good blend of Japanese and western food. The fish pond was very nice to look at. The service was great. The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the Meguro station and there are convenience, grocery stores, and restaurants closeby. The wifi signal was weak but adequate.

- codder (6/5): Close to the station. Great view of Mt. Fuji - Need to be up grade....I stayed on early December, constitution going on next neighbor, noisy and smell.. Great housekeeping !!. It was VERY clean. Building was just too old.... I had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji every morning from the room!!! Very close to the station.
- Mark (4/5): Convenient location - but in need of an upgrade - I stayed at the Hotel Princess Garden (HPG) for 3 nights having business in the area. The HPG is located a few minute walk from the Meguro Station that intersects several lines, including the JR Yamanote Line and the Tokyo Meguro line. So location is prime for access. There are also many small-to-large restaurants within walking distance. However, there is not much shopping nearby. In spite of the good location and access, I was very disappointed with the hotel. The HPG is simply an old, tired hotel that has not been maintained, upgraded nor improved for a very long time. This might be acceptable for a budget hotel - however the HPG is a high priced hotel for the area. The carpets in the hallways and rooms (at least my room) were warn-out in spots and stained. The wall paper in my room was beginning to peal off at the seams. The mattress was absolutely rock hard. There were no air-conditioning controls in the room - only a fan control that blew in air that you could not control the temperature. In spite of the HPG supposed to be catering to non-Japanese tourists, the television had only Japanese-language channels. The bathroom is the "pre-fabricated" variety, which was not well maintained and not the cleanest. On the plus side, the wireless internet worked well, it was quite, and the lobby is well appointed. So my recommendation is that there is better value available nearby.
- Dom (8/5): - Hotel in quiet area, central to subway, shops etc. room was very clean but small and compact , not much room to move around if you have 2 suitcases open. Small hotel but everything works. Will definitely stay here again.
- World traver 7 (2/5): Did not work out. - Did not work out for me. Room was very small & very old. I purchased breakfast package but breakfast serve from 7am to 10am. I had to leave before 7am for meeting every day so no use. No air conditioner (cooler) this time of year.(11/6-11/10) It was too hot to sleep. I would never stay here again.
- Suzan (6/5): Japanese Room - This was a typical Japanese room. Very small bathroom, very small room overall. There were two small twin beds which made it great because I was able to at least open my suitcase on the other bed. Price was right for the slight inconvenience. Hotel staff inconsistent depending on which staff you asked for help. Some great, some clearly not willing to go the extra way for service. They were all polite, but easier to simply say no. From the Narita airport, take the airport express bus to the Sheridan and then a short taxi ride to the Hotel Princess Garden. Which truly had a lovely outdoor garden.
- Sara (8/5): Overall good hotel on the main Tokyo circle line - This is the second time I've stayed here - I would definitely advise to get a deluxe economy room unless you are a very light packer. We had stayed in one previously after being upgraded and the wifi was fine (the floor seemed to have its own wifi) and there was plenty of space. In the normal economy rooms there is no wardrobe - a peg hangs either side of the mirror if you want to hang anything up and as we were on a lower floor we were expected to use the open wifi for which we never had a signal - we hired a portable wifi so this luckily wasn't an issue but could be frustrating if you were relying on it. Storage space for things like makeup and toiletries was also limited (but again,if you're a light packer it's less of an issue - I do carry a lot of stuff). Room itself is clean with loads of free toiletries (razors, toothbrush/toothpaste, hair brush, body cloth, towels and face wash/soap/body wash/shampoo) and complimentary pajamas, water and green tea, staff were nice as always and the laundrette is useful.

- ann (4/5): Disappointing...would not stay here again. - Disappointing… Sterile environment felt like a Soviet era hotel. Beds very low and very uncomfortable. Didn't have the courage to try the restaurant, did not look appealing. TV to pay TV they only have TVs that you have to pay to watch. I was surprised this was a four-star hotel.
- Mike (10/5): First time review for a very nice hotel. - My wife and I have stayed at many hotels in the Tokyo area. The Hotel Princess Garden has a pleasing atmosphere, attentive staff, large rooms by Tokyo standards, and is a great hotel at a good price. A non-smoking, double bed room in most other hotels we have stayed has typically costed more and you barely have sufficient room to get around a semi-double bed. Your luggage is always in the way. At this location, you get a real double bed and even have space for your luggage and to move comfortably in the room. The location of this hotel is great. Meguro Station and the Yamanote Line easily get you to Shinjuku or Tokyo stations. There are many tasty, well-priced restaurants in the area. Plenty of convenience stores in the vicinity. The one drawback to the hotel is that the decor is very dated. It's like going to the home of a well-to-do Grandma. However, considering everything else, this hotel is a gem.

I think the people working when we checked in and in the evening were not too friendly.The person in charge of the dining room was very nice and accommodating. the food was good and they always refilled if it was low. They didn't have the food sitting out for a long period. We stayed there last year and I thought that we had a very good experience so I decided to stay there again.

The room that I stay didn't have a closet to hang my cloths, so I had to keep my cloths in my luggage and choose what I was going to ware each night for the next day. Other than that the room is very clean and the hotel is two blocks from Meguro station

- Weng Soon (10/5): Great Hotel - Me & My wife was choose to stay at this hotel for four nights,the Hotel location is nice as it not far from Meguro Train station(Approx 5 Min Walk).So can walk to Train station for shopping if needed, the Hotel do provide free wifi. The Hotel Overall Environment is very clean & feel relax. The Hotel Customer service is very helpful & have a very nice attidude.

Hotel breakfast was poor but with so many places to eat close by this was not a problem. The hotel is rather dated and tired but for price and location would stay again.

- Sue (2/5): hotel - Hotel nice. No place for clothes to put away. Very tiny bathroom. Room had air conditioning but no air really, air conditioner did very little. Felt stifled. Hotel ok. Strange thing was that the cleaning staff were very accommodating and listened and understood needs. Asked for an extra pillow which they provided with a smile. Slippers were provided daily. You will not need shampoo, conditioner or body wash. Even comb provided.

- James (8/5): For the price I was very satisfied - I didn't expect too much from this Hotel and fair enough once out of the pretty lobby the room itself was somewhat tired but clean. The room was far too hot so I complained. Staff member came up instantly and told us that we were putting the heater on! Not air conditioning. - If you want to cool the room down then you have to open the window. You have to ask reception to send someone to unlock it. . The beds were comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room and bathroom were compact but this did mean that it was difficult to store the suitcase with just 4 hangers and no shelf space for clothes or anything else. Excellent location, just a short stroll from Meguro station on the Yamanote line. Trains are frequent. There is a convenience store opposite the Hotel and a good supermarket and household goods shop (Above it) between the Hotel and the station. these stay open late - very late. I had access to free hotel Wi-Fi in my room. I had to pay in full on arrival . All in all I was very happy with the Hotel for what i had paid for it. . You do get what you pay for a little bit. This hotel had all of that so I was happy. My only negative is that the buffet breakfast was truly awful, the food was lukewarm and very limited in choice.

- Ben (6/5): Good hotel for an extended stay - We stayed 5 nights in the hotel. Everything was as expected. The hotel has a beautiful Japanese style garden. Other parts of the hotel seem a little run down, however there was some construction work that looked like they were catching up on renovations. The room was small but normal for Tokyo. There is no air con in the room, just an on/off switch for the building's central air system. We were there in the winter and the room was a little warm, but turning on the air just made it warmer. There was no way to cool it down since the windows were locked. Hotel is a very convenient distance from Meguro station which can get you a lot of places with JR, Metro and Tokyu services.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Old but Decent - Location is good as accessibility to all rail lines is just 5 minutes away. To get to this hotel from Haneda Airport just take the Keikyu line to Shinagawa then change to Yamanote line to Meguro. Take the west exit, turn right and walk 100m. Overall our rooms were quite decent. The only drawback were the old hard beds. Booked 2 dbl beds and the size was reasonably okay. The bathroom was clean and housekeeping was up to mark. As we were travelling during winter, the heater was set and rooms can get quite hot. The reception people speak little English but so far our few request were entertained. (Additional pillows, allowed us to store our luggage as our flight back was late evening.) Near the hotel were 3 convenience stores which offered reasonable valued items. You can purchase their local snacks, fruits, drinks and even liquor here. There's also a few Restaurants nearby and one that we particularly liked was I-Chiban. Their food were reasonably priced and delicious. Plus the staff can speak Mandarin. Those travelling on their own, get the Pasmo card. Travelling by rail and bus plus vending machine purchases can be done with this card. Just like Hong Kong's octopus card.
- Howard (8/5): Stay was great for the cost but could be cleaner - Cost is what you get for this place. The only argument is that if you want a full size bed instead of two twins they are hard to come by, even with advance notice. The cleanness was not up to par with Japanese standard, bugs and mildew smell( smoking room) made it hard to sleep. Old hotel and very small rooms. Looking back, I would have paid double if my stay was shorter for a better room. Good for one person, too small for two.
- Cyril (10/5): Great Business Hotel - Definitely a Business Hotel but with good rooms and comfortable surroundings. Close to Meguro Station so easy to get anywhere around Tokyo. Lots of shops and Restaurants nearby. Breakfast is good, though a little limited in variety. Staff are very helpful.

- Lewina (8/5): Convenient location, clean hotel - We arrived in Tokyo from Hokkaido at around 5pm. We had requested for 2 rooms (deluxe twin) side by side and Our rooms were ready when we checked in. Clean and comfortable size. Only thing was the guy at reception was rather unfriendly and rude during the check in process. Rather unpleasant welcome but clean and convenient hotel otherwise.

- Luan Zheng Rin (8/5): Awesome location & convenient hotel - Great hotel located in an extremely convenient location nearby Meguro station, which is 5-15 mins away from Shibuya & Shinjuku on the Yamanote line. Extremely convenient, clean and value for money!!! Will definitely stay here again!

The only issue was a dark stain on the carpet, but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The hotel is really close to Meguro Station so it's supper convenient to Tokyo Station, as well as Roppongi. For a short stay, the hotel is really nice

Rooms are small but more than adequate for a reasonable stay. Close to Meguro Station with Subway and JR lines. Plenty of Restsurants nearby.
- Patrick (8/5): Economical Hotel near Major Station - The rooms are very small. If you can book for yourself I recommend it's. Sharing 1 room amongst 2 people is just hard. Yeah you can get 2 beds in 1 room but the rooms in general are very tiny. The reason why you want to stay here is the price. Very affordable and Meguro Station is a 5 min walk. There are many convenience stores in this area. Our room was pretty dusty and looking at the whole hotel, seems barely kept. There is dust everywhere. BOOK A NON SMOKING ROOM.
