Guest Reviews
- Kylie (10/5): - The room was spacious & clean. The bed was super comfy.
The Lureline is situated close to everything we needed for our stay.
- Jessica (10/5): Great little gem - I think this is a great little gem in Sydney. Such a great vibe and good location. The only feedback I can give is that the blockout blinds for the flood lighting are not effective.
- Wendy (10/5): -
- Grace (10/5): -
- Genevieve (5/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): Beautiful stay in convenient location - It was in a great location and beautiful heritage building
- Joan (7/5): -
- Kerrie (7/5): Great location near hospital. - Location, comfortable bed, access to breakfast and lunch vouchers, safe off street and undercover parking. Nil
- Helen (8/5): -
- tracy (10/5): -
- Penny B (7/5): Pros & cons of this venue. Would maybe stay again if couldnt get somewhere else - Spacious room, nice thick towels, breakfast voucher to a lovely cafe close to hotel. Off street unticketed parking whilst timed, you could still find a spot over the weekend. Close to the light rail. Parking spaces small & awkward to navigate. For size of room there should have been a King bed. No where to put toiletry bag/things in bathroom
- wyllie (10/5): -
- Fiona (9/5): Will be back - The building is stunning and the location exceptional. The room was beautiful and clean.
- Sammi (8/5): -
- Dean (8/5): Brilliant - reasonable price, excellent location. Would stay again. - Excellent location Parking can be a problem - limited spaces in car park. Street parking is a lottery.
- Rachelle (8/5): -
- Sonam (9/5): Awesome and relaxing! Helpful and courteous staff. - The property was spacious, a heritage building converted from lodge to hotel. The location is just superb, you have got Light rail Randwich starting station just 1 min opposite Hotel, all retail stores Coles, Woolies and restaurants like Subway, McDonalds, Yo-Cho are just 2-3 mins around. The location is lively and a great family suberb ti soend your vacation in.
Rooms washrooms were clean and tidy. The curtains need to be changed though time to time but that wasn’t a concerning point.
The common kitchen are is great, if has all amenities like kettle, cutlery, microwave, toaster, washing machine and dryer even.
The staff was great and courteous too. They offered us some coupons of a cafe Twenty Two Grams which was amazing too!! My room was on ground floor and there was a courtyard outside my room since the property is a heritage place. two nights we saw cockroaches roaming inside room. When we informed reception staff, she was quite prompt and asked a hospitality staff to spray at open ceilings in room to disable insects entry.
We gave them a suggestion to put a rubber ceiling at the bottom if doors since there was an opening that could cause insects to enter inside room.
- Bilitis (9/5): - Nice style and clean Smaller bathroom but still good quality
- Catherine (7/5): - Lovely property and lovely staff. Very convenient to what we were doing. The noise of the traffic. Need double glazing on windows.
- Suzie (9/5): I would definitely stay again -
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Maree (10/5): Fantastic value for money! - Our room was beautiful and smelled so clean when we walked in! They have a beautiful little courtyard where you can sit and eat or drink and it was a great location! The staff were so lovely ! If I ever need accommodation in that area again I would go anywhere else! The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't stay longer!
- andrew (8/5): -
- Sibhon (7/5): disappointing - good location Broken toilet seat, stain on curtain, hair & crumbs on bed.
- Kerryn (6/5): Good location - Very close to tram for easy access to SCG We were oin a room near rode and there was a grate on the road which made a loud noise afl night
- Marice (9/5): - Ok Ok
- Alexandra (8/5): Gorgeous Vintage Feel - The building is beautiful, and thoughtfully renovated. It is located right on the Randwick Light Rail stop, and near all the buses. Walking distance to Coogee Beach and across the road from many excellent food options. The staff member at the desk was wonderful, she was very helpful and professional at all times. Depending on the room you are allocated, the view can be a bit underwhelming. One side of our room faced a concrete wall with an air conditioner and a skip. The other window faced the internal courtyard, which is beautiful, but means all the people using it can see directly into your room.
- Pat (8/5): -
- Nicole (9/5): - Beautiful accommodation. Very central. Staff friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay there again.
- Katie (9/5): Great value, comfortable stay - Location, style, comfort No Onsite parking - we luckily got street parking easily enough
- Natasha (9/5): Great location for ease of access to the hospitals. Everything within a few minutes walk. - Great location for being close to the hospital, comfy beds, secure, beautiful heritage building and lovely courtyard. Room was a little small, but overall, would definitely stay here again.
- Lauren (8/5): -
- Rachael (10/5): - The historic feel. Pulling my suitcase up the stairs.
- Gerard (10/5): -
- Aditya (10/5): Always great short stay - Location location location, clean, facilities all good, spacious. None, just our bathroom door unlock-able but all good.
- Julie (8/5): Excellent location for visiting POW - Noisy guests next door
- jenny (9/5): good big, clean, comfortable rooms close to the hospital. - Location -its just across the road from the hospital. i was receiving chemotherapy over 24 hours so needed to be close to the hospital and also needed a late check out. the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. i was able to leave my belongings at reception after arriving from the airport but before check in time while i attended appointments at the hospital. television was impossible to get to hook up to my netflix for some reason.
- Overs (8/5): Comfortable and flexible - Staff were exceptional and was very welcoming!! The breakfast voucher was a major plus which we enjoyed dearly!! Stairs but wasn’t a huge deal. Also, no private parking available. No spots were vacant.
- Renea (9/5): -
- Tamarah (8/5): -
- Katzy (8/5): Fantastic location in a heritage building. - Location and old world style. Lovely reception staff. Unfortunately guests came in late and were extremely noisy.
- Lauren (3/5): -
- Kelly (8/5): Great spot, clean and good value. - Great location and close to shops, restaurants and bars. So convenient for public transport to get around. Pillows were uncomfortable and road busy all night making it noisy.
- Sarah (7/5): -
- peter (10/5): -
- Courtney (9/5): good reception. VERY GOOD breakfast included at cafe across road. 1.8km walk to beach or easy uber - Everything is good and good deal on booking. Just one thing the door to the bathroom and the fan are extremely noisy if you are trying to go to the bathroom and not wake up your partner
- Ahmed (7/5): - Location is great! Close to UNSW, tram station, shops and restaurant.
Reception desk staff: friendly and helpful. (Note: Reception closes at 6 pm)
Nice courtyard.
Clean
Good toiletries Internet: worked well in 1 room but not another (i changed 1st room bec of this issue)
Basement room has horrible noise because old glass window rattles everytime a car passes by. This was by far the worst thing about this place. Also, can hear ppl on top room walking on the floor (they were not noisy at all, it's just how the place is built)
- Renee (10/5): Live locally but would want to book in again regularly - Location amazing Nothing
- Joy (10/5): -
- Michelle (4/5): Disappointing - The location and the aesthetic of the property. The number of stairs to navigate. The strong lingering smell of cleaning product in the small room. The worst was the inescapable noise from both outside and the room upstairs!!
- Isabelle (8/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): Comfortable stay in a beautiful old building. Great location. Good price. - Great location at the end of the Randwick Light Rail line and close to Randwick hospitals.
- Scotty (10/5): Centrally located, clean tidy and a great stay - Room was clean, tidy and has a great outlook over the courtyard. Bed was very comfortable. Shower is nice and hot with instant hot water. Very central location to everything and light rail is only 100 metres from the front door. Lots of great cafes and restaurants close by. Staff very friendly and could not help enough. Highly recommended. Nothing
- Patricia (8/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): - Location
- Megan (4/5): Disappointed this time. - Location Getting very run down. I have stayed here for 18 months every time I go to Sydney. Broken stairs courtyard not well maintained, PowerPoints falling out of the walls and showers very small which would be ok but leak outside so very wet floors, fan didn’t work
- Kerry (5/5): Great location - Location Very tired
Someone’s sock was left in our room
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Kuntorn (8/5): - - Location!
- the bed
- breakfast coupon at a famous cafe - The room is smaller than expected (to be fair, they declare the size but still smaller than expected)
- Leslie (7/5): -
- Leonie (8/5): We always stay at the Lurline when visiting family in Sydney. Great location with food, shops, light rail and beach all - Always a handy place to stay when visiting family in Sydney Only the lack of towel/hand towel hooks. There’s only one hook in the bathroom.
- Darren (9/5): -
- Ingrid (10/5): Perfect. - Gorgeous detail, super comfy, thoughtful touches, great breakfast, helpful staff. Amazing location close to the hospital and central to Randwick
- Veronique (8/5): Séjour court mais sympa près du tram qui amène en ville et de la mer par Coogee - Pour nous l emplacement Le jardin ,le calme la 2 eme nuit dans une autre chambre parfaite
- Micala (5/5): - Mold in the shower & all over the ceilings. Loud banging noise throughout the night.
- Lorraine (8/5): - Lovely building with inner courtyard. Great location opposite end stop for light rail/tram which took us into the centre of the city. Lots of shops cafes and restaurants nearby. The beds were a big hard for me. Staff were very helpful with all requests and provided an extra doona to soften the bed
- Paul (8/5): Good staff good rooms - Location Kitchen & Laundry room Cockroach’s in our. room
- Joan (8/5): -
- Georgia (7/5): -
- Stephanie (3/5): - The room we were given smelled of urine in between and behind the beds but because it’s not a 24hr reception, there was no way to tell anyone or request a different room.
- Melinda (8/5): Great stay again, we will probably be back again. - Lovely large room on the ground floor with a nice bathroom.
Easy check in and check out. Great location for us. We have stayed before but first time we were in a front ground floor room and you can hear the traffic and sirens. Didn’t bother us at all but if you aren’t used to noise it might bother you. Bed was firm.
- Jason (9/5): -
- Bruce (9/5): -
- Holly (7/5): Great location and rooms, will upgrade to a courtyard room next time as it’s a quieter room. - The room was lovely. It also had a nice courtyard garden. I didn’t realise the studio rooms were underneath the road level. This made it very noisy from cars and traffic.
- Richard (9/5): - Clean, comfortable, great location, excellent value Bathroom/shower is tight
- Rose (10/5): Fab stay, rooms were lovely, clean towels left e wet day. So near to cafes and light rail. - Convenience to light rail stop and shops, cafes etc
- Marco Claudio (10/5): -
- Sue (7/5): -
- Ibrahim (10/5): -
- Kimberly (10/5): -
- Costandina (10/5): -
- Wayne (10/5): Very good thanks - Didn't get breakfast Quiet and tidy
- Lynne (8/5): A nice hotel but the staff could be a lot more helpful. - Location, location - last stop for light rail, walking distance to restaurants. Close Randwick race course and Sydney cricket grounds. We could not get the TV to work. Reception replaced the batteries but it still did not work. Reception didn’t follow up to see if it was working.
- Danny (8/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): -
- Anneka (4/5): - Location was good and the room was clean. We were told we had been given a room 'upgrade' but the room we ended up with was directly next to the main entrance - very noisy especially with other guests arriving late at night. We couldn't see how this was an 'upgrade'.
- Andre (8/5): -
- Bernadette (9/5): - Very comfortable and great location All good
- Janetta (8/5): -
- Mark (8/5): -
- philip (7/5): -
- Darren (7/5): It is good but hard to stay there when no parkign available. - clean and tidy good location No parking available.
- Jann (7/5): Receptionist was so helpful -great location - heritage building with preserving and bringing up to a higher level - The beautiful old building and the receptionist The room could have done with an extra hour clean and the bathroom was so tiny
- Nicole (8/5): -
- Pam (8/5): -
- Joel (9/5): -
- Suzanne (6/5): We’ve stayed in the Lureline several times mainly due to its location and it is fairly basic accommodation in a beautifu - The location is super - within walking distance of buses and tram to city and Coogee beach is only a 15/20 minute walk away. Randwick itself had lots of shops, cafes and restaurants with The Spot only a short walk away also with more cafes and restaurants. Some steps up and down uneven and even dangerous. Housekeeping were not great at cleaning room eg tea not replenished daily, cups used not washed, bathroom not cleaned very well. Fresh towels were provided daily.
- Byrnes (7/5): - Location, the historic building, balcony was lovely Stairs for us was a challenge as we were traveling from over seas
- Paul (9/5): Convenience great location restaurants near by . - Location location great staff. Cockroaches in our room 3
