Reservations for 10 people or more per night, will be considered group booking. Special group terms and conditions will apply (please contact our team for more information).
Pets are allowed on request, in private rooms only. Charges may be applicable.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Individuals under the age of 18 can only stay at the Hostel when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the same room.
The room must be private.
Unaccompanied under 18's are not allowed to stay in shared rooms, unless they are part of a group that has booked out the entire shared room. The group leader must provide the required documentation to Generator. Failure to comply with these policies will result in automatic cancelation of the booking with no refund. Guests violating these rules will not be permitted to check into the Hostel
Don't forget to bring a valid passport with you, this is mandatory for all Non-EU guests or valid identification documents for EU guests. As per government regulations, this needs to be the physical passport/ID, photos or photo copies will not be accepted.
Failure to comply with these policies will result in automatic cancelation of the booking with no refund.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

- Sopana (7/5): Ich habe schon in besseren Hostels übernachtet. - Es war sehr sauber, gute Lage. Klimaanlage war aus, auf Anfrage hieß es das es von der Stadt noch nicht genehmigt wurde. Es war viel zu heiß und stickig in dem Zimmer. Die Wände sehr waren zudem sehr hellhörig. Ein Handtuch hat 5€ gekostet, was ich als viel zu teuer empfinde. Gruppenaktivitäten gab es keine, also keine Möglichkeit als Alleinreisender mit anderen Leuten in Kontakt zu kommen, was ich als sehr schade empfinde. Und man muss sich zwangsläufig für den Aufenthalt sich ein Ticket für den Wasserbus kaufen, da es sonst keine Möglichkeit gibt nach San Marco zu kommen. Personal war okay, nicht besonderes zuvorkommend.

- Eleni (8/5): - Generator Venice is located at the perfect location, right across the main city of Venice, which makes it very easy to access everything, you just need to make sure that you purchase a vaporetto ticket that corresponds to the days of your stay, because it's much cheaper that way. The stuff were all incredibly helpful and friendly, the view was amazing and the common room was the perfect place to socialize and have fun with other people. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the property only had two bathrooms on each floor, and every morning it was such a hustle to get things done and get ready because so many people were waiting to use the bathrooms.

- Felix (4/5): So greedy ! - La ubicación , las vistas a Venecia Three showers , three toylets for more than 40 - 50 people. That should be illegal ! I paid more than 60€ per a bed and the last bed of the room ( 16bed) paid 100€ . Nothing to do with the hostel Spirit .

El costo de la noche en el hotel me pareció un poco elevado para lo que ofrecía. Además, las habitaciones no incluían toallas y había que pagar un cargo adicional de cinco euros por ellas, lo cual considero innecesario dado el precio de la estancia. También sentí que la atención del personal podría ser más amable y cordial.

- Kim (7/5): Good no-frills place. All-female option may be misleading - Clean and cool decorations. No frills place, provided functioning and clean place to sleep and stay. Was told that our room was not all-female despite the booking stating all-female room online. We had a male guest enter our room after they checked in. Staff was able to resolve which was great but then they told us there was no such thing as an all-female room (even though all the guests in our room were all female until that moment), which makes the online bookings option misleading if that is the case.

- Camila Andrea (8/5): Buena ubicacion y buen trato del personal. - Esta bien ubicado, hay que tomar un vaporetto para cruzar hasta la isla principal, el barrio es tranquilo. Tiene servicio para guardar equipaje por 4 euros lo que me pareció muy económico. No entendi el sistema de iluminacion pero no se pudo apagar la luz de la habitación, yo y otra chica nos fuimos a dormir temprano y a eso de las 00:00 y 01:00 comenzaron a llegar mas huéspedes metiendo mucho ruido y sin importarles que estábamos durmiendo. Hubiera sido bueno que el hostel ponga mas reglas de comportamiento porque hay gente muy egoísta con el descanso ajeno.

There is a nice common area and cafe/bar to hang out and it is reasonably social The hostel requires taking a boat at least twice a day to get to the main island, which can get pricey. Myself and others I met had issues with laundry - the dryer wasn’t working well. I recommend setting it to the longest cycle possible to make sure it actually dries your clothes.

I had never seen anything like that before. I arrived at the hostel at 10am and they said they would give me the bed at 2pm and I had to rent a locker for 6 hours.

Not recommended for people over 5’5” or people with back issues as had to bend over to get around the room with beams on roof. Lighting in bedroom is poor for doing makeup. Rain very loud on roof of room.

- Алёна (10/5): The hostel exceeded my expectations — I will definitely come back again. - I was traveling to Venice alone, so it was important for me to find an affordable, cozy, and safe place, and I definitely made the right choice. I was able to work in the beautiful lobby area, where you can also relax since there is billiards, board games, table football, and many chill-out spaces. There is also what I would call a freelancer zone, where people comfortably work on their laptops. There’s also a café where you can eat and have drinks. The room was very quiet (of course, it also depends on the roommates, but I got lucky), and I had an amazing sleep. The shower and toilet were clean, although someone before me had left hair in the sink after washing up — but that’s not the hostel’s fault, it depends on how tidy people are. I stayed in a women-only room, which was super comfortable because I didn’t have to worry about changing clothes or other awkward moments. The water view was also a very pleasant surprise — I didn’t expect it to be that beautiful. I especially want to mention the amazing staff and the overall atmosphere. To sum up: • clean • amazing lobby with lots of amenities (that’s actually why I booked this place) • its own café • comfortable beds • quiet • very cozy and comfortable • incredibly kind and professional staff • pay attention to the location, but for me it was actually a pleasant surprise because I got to experience Venice without the crowds The only thing worth noting is that towels are not included, and you need to pay extra for a locker lock to keep your belongings safe. But I had my own towel and lock, so it wasn’t a problem for me. And let’s not forget that this is a hostel, not a hotel, so personally I don’t see it as an issue. In the room there was one shower and one toilet for 8 people, but there were never any lines and I could use them comfortably. There are also two extra toilets on the ground floor in case you urgently need one :) Also, for “attentive” people like me :) — the hostel is located on an island, so you need to take a water bus to get there, which costs €9.50 one way. It’s more economical to buy a day pass or a multi-day pass (the daily ticket is €25), especially because it allows you to explore different parts of Venice conveniently.

Bed not comfy…toilets were quite dirty…lot of noise at night coming from people outside the hostel (guests) standing in front of the entrance. At least provide locks for the cases or change to electronic lockers… 5€ the lock is crazy. You could mention it on the booking page.

Tive que pagar muitas coisas a parte, que acabou não compensando, como por exemplo me cobraram para deixar as malas por poucas horas antes do checkin, não tem locker no quarto e para proteger seus itens eles te vendem um mini cadeado superfaturado. Além disso eles não disponibilizam guarda chuvas, fazendo vc comprar. Aluguel da toalha caro e banheiro sujo, sem muita estrutura.

El hombre mayor del desayuno, asiático, atendiendo con pésima cara y me montó un escándalo porque cogí un vaso de agua del desayuno (el agua no se niega, por ley) Comida y bar carísimo. La comida un asco, de bar de paso de carretera. Cobran hasta por dejar la mochila después del check out unas horas hasta poder ir al aeropuerto. Los dormitorios ruidosos. Los baños mal, ninguno limpio por la mañana. A primera hora las llaves electronicaa de las habitaciones dejar de funcionar. La gente recién duchado en pijama sin poder entrar. Mal. Para no repetir.
