• Yoandra (8/5): - Location is perfect, nice staff very friendly and helpful..beautiful pool area, great breakfast and nice restaurant area, however the room was very tiny, and very old looking, like the rugs, curtains, the bed dress were old and dirty looking, the entire area was ugly from the entrance door to the room area, definitely needs rug replacement… i was very surprise to find the room so old for the price.. i guess i paid for location

But we wondered why the pool had not been cleaned properly, There was quire a lot of algate at the bottom of the pool, disgusting. Sea was great! The hotel's restaurants were quite expensive and a one hour massage at the hotels spa woud have cost 210e. Was this a joke? Breakfast was good and the sea view from the restaurant was amazing.

• TheChampagneGal (8/5): Location and Pool! - Great location for us and the pool and ocean access was a huge plus. We were aware that the pool was across the street and part of the Hotel Argentina. The Pool restaurant and head waiter Vendran(spelling could be wrong) were top notch. The food was most enjoyable and excellent service. The rooms could use a refresh as carpet is quite worn but we were there for balcony view and rest. Housekeeping staff were very accommodating with requests.

Reliable air conditioning. Many families. Top-notch breakfast. Private beach offered a great escape on the hot afternoons of summer. Some European guests are repeat customers from previous years.
• Jeffrey (10/5): - You check in at the sister hotel Grand Villa Argentina across the street which is a grand old place overlooking the Adriatic where you take your breakfast or use the pool, your building is across the street and up several flights of stairs. Comfortable, clean, quiet, with comfortable beds, the rooms are decorated in the style of the two hotels, which is older in style, traditional decor. Look at the buildings, stately and older, I expected this decor. The staff super kind and helpful and knowledgeable. A short 10 min walk to old town and everything. Two or three supermarkets along the way. Great location, lovely time. Nice to come back to a quiet, cool room. bravo!
• anthony (10/5): Glad we stayed here - Villa Glavic and its sister hotel Grand Villa Argentina are excellent. The rooms overlooking the Adriatic are beautiful. The morning breakfast buffet on the outdoor deck is a wonderful spot to start your day. You are about a 5-10 minute walk up the hill from old town and you will have some phenomenal views on your way down to the city. So happy we stayed here!
• Adventurer821848 (8/5): Excellent find close to City. - Not sure why there have been no reviews since September 22, but here's a more current one! The property is supported by the Grand Hotel Villa Argentina across the road, where you have full use of all facilities, restaurants, spa, bars, pool etc. The staff were all excellent, very obliging & nothing was too much trouble. We even got a free room upgrade as a total surprise & free late check out by 5pm due to how late our return transfer was! Breakfasts were extensive choice of hot, cold, continental etc - same offering every day, but so much choice it mattered not. Pool area was lovely with steps to swim in sea, or infinity pool. Excellent sunlounger & bar service, too. Room was clean & comfortable with lovely sea view. Bathroom was a little dated but perfectly serviceable with excellent shower. You have to like steps to stay here - no lifts in Villa Glavic (though lifts in Hotel across the road). Well located, about 800m walk down to Old City Gate. Also just outside the door was bus stop & taxis, too if you don't want to walk. Overall a very pleasant stay & would recommend.
• Dar76950 (10/5): Enjoyable stay in Dubrovnik - Had a recent four night stay at Villa Glavic. It is situated opposite the main hotel so you are able to use their facilities. The room was clean and well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style in the main hotel - plenty of choice and free tables. I chose to sit on the balcony which overlooks Lokrum and Old Town.

No crowded beach, chairs and umbrellas, beverage/food service. Room was nothing special, but was only there to sleep, so bed was comfortable and bathroom has everything needed. Location was good on quieter gate. Three grocery stores on walk to pick up snack or water (travelled in summer). Hotel arranged ferry pick up and was worth it! Someone standing with sign and whisked us to hotel. Hotel is across the street from Hotel Argentina but you have full access privileges. Breakfast ok, but breakfast view of Adriatic amazing; you will waste time just sitting their and staring out into the sea!

• philippa089 (8/5): An average 4 star hotel with some 5 star aspects - This hotel is a tail of two halves. It’s got aspects which are 5 star (the staff - exceptional, the views - amazing, the food - fantastic) but the majority is a lower end 4 star. I think the best way to describe the hotel is like a 20 year old cruise ship. Was once the height of sophistication but is now tired and old. The rooms are in desperate need of an uplift. They still give bed spreads (which they confirmed they do not wash between guests so sit on that at your own peril) and the shower is over the bath. I haven’t had to step into a bath in a five star hotel for a shower for many years, an experience that would have been less painful had the shower head stayed fixed and not stop falling down from the weight. I think the old saying is you get what you pay for and it’s perfect for summarising here. The excelsior down the road was much more a 5 star hotel, but then that comes with a greater price tag so just decide what’s important to you on this trip. The money saved could mean an epic time doing fab trips or it could not be worth getting woken up at 6 am as the curtains are broken and don’t span the length of the whole window to stop the light coming in. All personal choices.

• C1149QYpaulg (10/5): Excellent choice - Villa Glavic is an annexe to the Grand Hotel Argentina, so you get all the benefits of the main hotel but with a quiet room in a building on the opposite side of the road. The location is excellent, an easy walk to the old city walls so you can explore in the morning, go back to the hotel for a swim and to freshen up before hitting town again for dinner. Check in is at the Argentina. Staff are friendly and helpful. They show you over to the Glavic and carry your cases for you. There is a flight of steps up to the Glavic entrance. We were on the ground floor but if you are on either of the upper floors you should be aware there is no lift. The room itself was surprisingly spacious with good-sized ensuite bathroom. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, easily accessible power sockets, reliable free wifi. Decor was maybe a little dated but so what, it was very clean, the aircon worked well and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast is on the 4th floor balcony at the Argentina, with excellent sea view. It's buffet style with a wide choice of hot and cold food. The Argentina has an outdoor pool on the ground floor (note that it's an "upside down" hotel in that reception is on the 6th floor at street level whereas the ground floor is at sea level). There are in fact two pools. One option is a roped off section of the sea which you can enter either by jumping/diving or by using fixed ladders. The whole of this "pool" is deep so you won't be able to stand. Obviously it's also subject to tides and can be a little choppy. The other option is a pool which is great for cooling down in hot weather but which is small, not very deep and offers little opportunity for swimming. If you prefer a beach, then there's a public beach half way between the hotel and the old town. The staff by the pool are extremely helpful. They provide towels and organise sunbeds and sunshades. We never had a problem finding space. As for negatives, well I can't actually think of any worth mentioning. Definitely recommended. Finally, beware it can be very hot from late June until the end of August so exploring the old town can be more tiring than you expect. There are regular cruise ships so the town can become very busy. Must dos: city walls and trip to Kravice falls

• Michael (10/5): Great Hotel with Stunning Location. - Although booked into the Villa Glavic, we stayed in the main part of the Grand Villa Argentina Hotel with a stunning sea view room. Everything from check in to the moment we left was perfect. Superb staff, stunning views and service. Great location with a lovely stroll down into the Old Town that takes less than 10 minutes.

• fernandagohr (10/5): Great hotel!! - Villa Glavic is part of the Grand Hotel Argentina, and they gave us a room in this one. It's got a beautiful view, amazing pool area, where you can swim on the see. Located at only 10min walk from the old town. The breakfast is amazing with lots of types of cereals, breads, fruits, cakes, eggs and etc. The room was very clean, with a big confortable toilet and really good amenities. Would definetely stay in it again and reccomend.

These villas share a central lobby and services with the Villa Argentina. Food, ambiance, location and all services among these three villas cannot be beat and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. Highly recommend.

You can use the Argentina facilities and that was really great. We had breakfast each day included- very nice food and environs with lovely view of Dubrovnic from outside area. Lunch at the pool a few times also very good. My wife became ill and the hotel staff were superb. Special thanks to reception and resturant manager. Easy walk to old town (10 mins). Little supermarket two mins down the road. If we go back we will stay there again.

Reception staff slightly dour on arrival but lovely and helpful when we were getting booked in.They weren't particularly busy on arrival and need just to look up smile, offer a welcome and say 'I will be with you in just a moment' as frontline staff. Food and beverage team fantastic.Great breakfast. Villa Glavic is a super way of enjoying 5 star facilities in 4 star accomodation.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great amenities & staff but very old room - They upgraded us to a room at Villa Argentina so really this review is for the main hotel. While the amenities (pool, spa, fitness center, breakfast buffet) are amazing and customer service is great as well we had some issues with our room. It’s quite possible we were “upgraded” to a room that doesn’t get much if any use as it looks nothing like the photos that Gran Villa Argentina promotes on their site. First, the HVAC in our room felt like the filter had not been replaced or maintained and both my husband and I had major congestion/allergy issues (we did not have this problem at the hotel we stayed at right after this). Also, the tub leaks water every time you shower (it is those half shower wall set ups that don’t fully enclose) so you’re constantly dealing with a wet slippery bathroom floor. But outside of this the service was good (prompt with any requests we had) and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool/ocean deck & breakfast buffet.

• BobB53 (10/5): Not a hotel - Annexe to The Grand Villa Argentina. - Our taxi driver had a real problem finding this place because it's not really a hotel - it's an annexe to the Grand Villa Argentina Hotel which is situated just across the road. The Argentina is situated in a beautiful position overlooking the sea and the old town - 10 minutes walk down to the town but 15 minutes back up again! The Argentina has a very nice restaurant and serves a very good breakfast (included in our room rate). It also has a very nice (if expensive bar overlooking the sea) and it has an excellent pool/sun bathing area right on the water's edge. Staff were very friendly on the whole although one was rather "over important". The Villa Glavic is a lovely old villa across the road and up some steps (NB from the hotel reception to our room was 72 steps and no lift). Rooms there are traditional/old fashioned but that means that they are bigger than modern rooms.
• A5848GGkated (6/5): Nice hotel but need more staff - We stayed at the Villa Glavic with access to the Grand Villa Argentina for amenities and breakfast. The room at the Villa Glavic was great, nice a spacious but air con was a bit old and didn’t get cold enough for how warm it was in Dubrovnik. The location was great, our only issues with with the Grand Villa Argentina. While the facilities were good, and the breakfast was exceptional, they needed more staff at the beach cafes as well as the bar at the Victoria hotel. At the beach/pool there was one waiter to all of the sun lounges and the poor guy was run off his feet. He did a good job but you could tell he was stressed, they could of easily had 2-3 people helping with the amount of guests they had. Also, the menu at the beach cafe was over priced and average food. We went for a happy hour cocktail at the Victoria hotel (part of the same complex) and waited over 25 minutes for only 2 cocktails. When we asked about our drinks the bar tender was quite rude so we decided to leave and had a cocktail in town, which was a much better decision and from then on did not eat or drink at the hotels other than the included breakfast. This hotel was a real treat for us, we paid a lot for 3 nights as it was peak season, so while small, these issues did have an impact on our stay. For the price I don’t think I would stay there again.
• bighunkboss (4/5): Overpriced - Positives: Hotel is in an old building with nicely furnished but small rooms. Walking distance to Old Town. Negatives: Not a place for the elderly because there are steep steps to the front door and no elevator. There is also no front desk or lobby, no dining area and no concierge. You have to go across the street to a sister Hotel for all services. Very inconvenient.
• 183lisau (10/5): Beautiful affordable boutique hotel on the Adriatic - Villa Glavic is a beautiful affordable boutique hotel just outside the walled city of Dubrovnik. It shares all amenities (without the expense) with the resort hotel just in front of Glavic, directly on the Adriatic. My husband and I spent 2 days here for respite just after our flight from the States and just before a 7 day cruise. The restaurant serves delicious food, has a good wine selection and a beautiful pool with towels provided and bar services. We very much appreciate Villa Glavic upgrading our room as well. After staying in the old town after our trip, we would recommend staying just outside town and just walking to the old town for the day for touring.

• DianeW222 (8/5): Upgraded - On arrival at reception we were advised we’d been upgraded to a sea view room, reception staff were friendly and professional and ensured our luggage was carried over the road to our room. The room was clean, the beds were twin beds pushed together, there were bedside cupboards, a minibar, flatscreen tv, desk, small table, 2 chairs and a wardrobe. No tea or coffee making facilities or iron and ironing board, however there was room service and ironing available if required. There was a small balcony with two chairs and a table that overlooked the sea and the old town. The bathroom had a bath and shower, the glass screen was difficult to move and the shower riser was broken, meaning the shower head kept dropping down and turning towards the window, for us this was no big deal, we could still shower. Toiletries were L’Occtine and were topped up daily. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom We requested our bed and towels to be changed daily and this was done. Every afternoon we were delivered chocolates to the room and asked if we needed any extra towels etc. There were several English speaking channels on the TV but we weren’t really around to watch tv. The carpet was stained in places and could do with being replaced but it was hoovered daily so caused us no problems. The air conditioner worked well, temperatures were high during our stay so this was important. The sister hotel opposite was clean, set out over several levels and we were able to use the facilities there. Breakfast was lovely overlooking the sea and old town, the staff looked clean and professional but customer service was lacking and at times they came across quite abrupt. There was a good varied food and items could be ordered and cooked at request. The beach at the hotel was a patio area in front of the sea, no beach as such. Checkout was quick and easy, there is a 10HRK room tax per person per night to pay. The location was brilliant for the old town, just a short walk down the hill, on the way back there is a slight slope back up and steps from the toad to the hotel, no lifts, so stairs to the rooms. If you have difficulty with mobility or are unfit then I’d suggest not to stay here.

• darrenbL2697LP (6/5): Over Rated - Stayed at Villa Glavic July 20, 21. Nowhere to sit outside with my wife for a drink. We had to sit on a concrete ledge. For an ice bucket I had to go across the street to their other hotel and get one from the 4th floor restaurant. Service at the pool to get a drink was a least a 30 min wait and it was not very busy. On the positive note their breakfast was very good. I would not go back. No menu in room for the restaurants and when we checked it out it smelled like sewer so we ate off the property.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - At Villa Glavic there is nowhere to sit outside anywhere. We wanted to have a drink together in the evening and I had to sit on a concrete ledge. If you open a window it is a stone wall. No english TV and we travelled all through Croatia and had no prob. Had to go to next hotel to the 4th floor restaurant to get an ice bucket and ice for our own drinks. Service for a drink at the pool was very very slow. I think it is over priced .
• camiiwa (4/5): Well, that’s a bummer - I have stayed at the hotel Argentina (Villa Glavic) which is not very far to the old city. The location and the staff was definitely good but the room where I stayed was really unclean (so disappointed)
• Deborah K (8/5): Villa by the Sea - Villa Glavis is part of Hotel Argentina....check in at the main hotel, cross the street and you’re in Villa Glavic. Both hotels were lovely, but our favorite part was the oceanfront pool...and stairs down into the sea! Lovely patio w/ drinks and meals. Be sure to sit outside, overlooking the sea, for an evening cocktail. Enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet ( also on the patio overlooking the sea). Not a downside, but realize this is on a steep hillside. We loved being on the top floor of the Villa...but NO elevator. The main hotel has elevators throughout. We were just sure to have all we needed before heading to the pool! Location is great...short 10 minute walk to the Wall and Old Town. Evening views of Dubrovnik were incredible. Enjoy!
• TJMHai (4/5): Very dissappointing - Described as a 4 star boutique hotel with 21 en suites rooms made me think it would be magical. There was 3 floors, with no lifts and the rooms were very dated. No coffee making facilities or daily water, which for the price we paid you would expect. The rooms were cleaned each day to a high standard. The sister hotel was fabulous for breakfast, outside tables with incredible views. There were lots of steps down to the pool area which would not pass UK health & safety standards. The pool area was amazing with fabulous views and easy access to the sea. The prices in the hotel were crazy, 2 beers by the pool cost £14. We are a middle aged fit & healthy couple and we struggled with the stairs.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location for anyone who would like to walk into the old city of Dubrovnik, although it is quite an uphill hike back at the end of the day. Villa Glavic is an annex to the larger and more modern Hotel Argentina which has good facilities, with wonderful views of Dubrovnik and local islands
• Rupertbehr (4/5): Beware ! - If you’re looking at pictures of the beach area, swimming pools, spa areas, restaurants, sun beds, or even hotel staff then you are NOT looking at the villa Glavic, it has none of these, you are in fact looking at the Grand hotel Argentina. The villa Glavic is in fact an annexe to the Argentina and has only one redeeming feature, and that is its location. It is a tired 3* hotel, making itself out to be something far grander than it actually is ! And if the reviews you read mention any of the above they are reviewing the villa Argentina ......... NOT villa Glavic. I’m sorry to disappoint, but I’m just telling it as it is.
• Sarah (6/5): Lovely hotel, pity about the rooms - The hotel had mistakenly given us a double room rather than the booked 2 singles. The hotel had high occupancy so one of us was given a choice of 2 very inferior rooms: either no air conditioning ( like a sauna at 30C+, or one with curtains that didn't;'t close and a bath that flooded repeatedly. The staff finally pulled through with some decent customer relations but it was a chequered stay in anther wise lovely hotel n a good location.

• Andrea L (10/5): Great location and view - The location of Villa Glavic is great assuming you don't want to pay to be inside the walled city. It's on a steep hillside overlooking the sea and it is an easy 10 minute walk along the coast into the walled city of Dubrovnik. You get the benefits of the affiliated Grand Villa Argentina hotel across the street, where a lovely buffet breakfast is served on a patio with views of the walled city and Lokrum island, and the seaside pool is available. The staff can arrange for car service to or from DBV.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Villa Glavic - Staff friendly and very helpful. We used the sun terrace a couple of days and this was lovely. Pool guy was very friendly and helpful. Location excellent. The breakfast in the hotel Argentina is good and staff very attentive. If I visited again I may consider a sea view room in the hotel Argentina because our room in Villa Glavic was a ground floor rear room which opened on to a rock face with no view and it was dark and quite cold. Room was tight with too much furniture and didn't feel luxurious and definitely didn't feel five star. Bed not the most comfortable and bedding not very luxurious either.

• Con (6/5): Nice hotel with pool and its own ocean access - Nice but aging hotel with pool and ocean access for the hot weather, but the walk uphill from the Old Town is a bit much in the hot weather and our "double bed" was just 2 singles made up separately as singles rather than as one bed. The older man/manager at Reception was also from a pompous and uncaring past that we had assumed was in the past, and didn't make us feel at all welcome. In fact,we felt as if we were inconveniencing him, rather than being the paying 'guest' of the hotel, as evidenced when we witnessed him poking fun at other guests. Having said that, we wouldn't in any event return to Dubrovnik because the whole of the Old Town seems focused on ripping-off tourists with excessive pricing for everything without the quality to justify it, which I'm led to believe is not indicative of the rest of Croatia.

• Nikki (10/5): Nice hotel with a great view - Stayed 4 nights and upon arrival was upgraded to the top floor and have a great view of lokrum island and the old city. Welcome foods upon arrival to room aswell which was a nice treat after arriving from Hvar at 10pm that night (from ferry). Breakfast buffet exceptional, great food selection, the most AMAZING views to look at and staff very freidndly. Hotel situated about a 10-15min walk from old city, enjoyed the walk each day a good work out in the heat. Pool area great can swim off the rocks beside it in the ocean which was lovely. Pool staff excellent. Great location being a bit away from old city as can avoid the hustle and bustle of tourists.
• ROBERT (10/5): Great place - We booked this hotel because we were meeting a group at the Hotel Argentina on the following day. The Glavic is across the street from the Argentina and managed by the Argentina. For some, there may be an issue with climbing stairs because there is no elevator in the Glavic; several flights of stairs are involved. For us , it was not an issue as we normally shun elevators just for the exercise. Although not requested, a porter carried our luggage to our room. All facilities are within the Argentina. The Argentina grounds extend from high on the hillside down to the sea and are impeccably maintained. For those desiring it, there is an elevator from the Argentina down to near seal level. Upon arrival, we were told that our room had been upgraded. As booked, we were to be in a room without a significant view. However, the room we were assigned included a balcony on the top floor overlooking the old town.

However shuttle service to and from airport advertised did not exist, they would make a limo booking for you if requested. Bed very comfortable although size of quilt not large enough for bed and only just covered the two of us. We left our luggage with the hotel after checking out so that we could continue our exploring and on return found it had not been left in a secure place but in the glass entrance at front of hotel that others had accesse to, not impressed. Overall good holiday and would return to Dubrovnic and same hotel. Pam

• ATaylorphilip (10/5): Amazing location and the kindest hotel staff - We stayed just across the road from the Grand Villa Argentina and basically could use all the facilities. Prosecco in the mornings were a definite plus as we came to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel kindly arranged a small birthday cake on the morning of the birthday and a personalised message was very easy to arrange. Thanks for such a nice relaxing stay. Definitely recommended!
• Marium (10/5): Amazing Views and an Upgrade - As a Expedia VIP member I was given a free room upgrade to Villa Grand Argentina which is part of the chain of hotels the Villa Glavic belongs to. The hotel was amazing; our room looked out on to the sea, we had friendly and helpful staff, a nice morning buffet, a great indoor pool and sauna as well as being within 10 minutes walking distance to the Old Town. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

As it was at the end of the season and not many people were there, (dates from 3rd to 9th Nov) they put us in the main hotel.

• Bev (8/5): A word of warning - We were upgraded at check-in to Villa Orsola so were very happy. A la carte breakfast is served only for guests staying in the annexe. The experience was wonderful but not so good when we checked our credit card statement after departure and found we had been charged for the accommodation on check-in and again on check-out. When we were asked for our CC we assumed it was for sundries. We were overcharged more than 1300 AUD and for the first 48 hours the hotel denied we had been overcharged. Finally I took a photo of the CC statement on the iPad (we are still travelling) and emailed it. Only then were Hotel Argentina and Villa Orsola able to find the overcharge. Disgraceful for a five star hotel but thankfully all resolved now. The hotel is beautifully located and luxuriously appointed.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Very impressed - I found the villa to be very good. It's the annex for the hotel Argentina which itself is excellent. All of the facilities are excellent there, and is where the restaurant/bars/breakfast is. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A pleasant 10 minute walk from old town as well. Only slight downside was that the TV was very difficult to operate, but when we told hotel staff about this, they fixed immediately.

The staff was not helpful or accurate in telling me the way to get there. I ended up climbing way too many steps with 2 heavy bags in tow. The bellman luckily helped get my luggage to my room. There was absolutely no view and the room was very dark. The bed and furniture was nice and the bathroom clean. The service was okay. Not very friendly actually. The location was great. • Me (10/5): Lovely hotel close to amenities. - Lovely hotel with a beautiful view of the adriatic, Island of Lokrum and the Old Town. Good facilities, lovely gardens and outdoor pool area, spa and restaurant/bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to town.
• Rob (6/5): - We arrived late in the evening, only to find that no room had been reserved for us and that Villa Glavic was actually closed. However, we were swiftly allocated a room in the main hotel, Grand Villa Argentina, on the coast and where all the facilities are located. So we had some difficulty at check in, which was repeated at check out. This had fantastic views of the sea (which we had actually requested in the original booking) and old town, with a small balcony. The rooms were clean and tidy, but standard size, dated and with twin beds put together. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, access down to the sea pool was closed, indoor pool was standard. Great location,15 minute walk from the old town. Overall, we would rate this a 4 start hotel in today's standards.

• baz (8/5): Convenient hotel near to old town - Villa Glavic is an annexe to Hotel Argentina which provides all facilities except the bedroom. Accommodation is physically demanding due to 89 step climb to our room located on the top floor and no lift so a consideration. Main hotel is superb.
• Michael (6/5): Breatless - Villa Glavic is the annexe to Hotel Argentina. It is totally unsuitable for aged or infirmed guests. The rooms with a sea view are on the second floor.....there is no elevator.....there are six flights of stairs two external and four internal. For someone with high blood pressure and rheumatism each return to our room was tortuous Nowhere in your promotional material does it elude to this. Our room was small, not Superior and overstuffed with furniture, so much so that you had to close a window to get out of bed!! Ours was only one of two without a balcony. If it were not for the fact that we love the city and surrounding countryside, we would have returned home after the first day. We enquired about a room in the main hotel but were told they were full. We suggest you make it clear to future prospective guests that they should chose somewhere else unless they are seeking an extreme cardio workout. M.Gold
• Richard (10/5): Couldn't recommend it more highly! Terrific place! - We had book a room at the Villa Glavic, but we got upgraded to its sister hotel, the Grand Argentina. It was a fantastic hotel, and I'm sure we got a great bargain. The room had an ocean view, with a superb view of Old Town Dubrovnik, as well as the Adriatic Sea. The breakfast was also good, and there was an outdoor dining area which also afforded terrific views. The hotel was about a 10 minute from Dubrovnik, which made sightseeing easy. The staff was great and the amenities were first class (L'Occitane products!). It was a fantastic time!

Comprehensive, diverse breakfast. Very helpful concierge and front desk staff. Villa Glavic guests have full access to main hotel facilities.
• Anthony (6/5): Tony's View - This is just a building, the real Hotel and services are across the street. There is no elevator and about 95 steps if you are on the top floor, as we were. Don't forget anything in your room and have to go back! I thought the guy taking our bags up was gonna die. The services across the street were excellent and location is good. Stay across the way at Villa Argentina and make life easier.
• Boris V. (10/5): Perfect location - Great hotel in a perfect location. Good breakfast with breathtaking views. The only complaint is a lack of elevator in Villa Glavic, but it is an old, beautiful building, so not sure if owners could do anything about it.
