- Cheryl (9/5): - We got a warm welcome and staff were very helpful with any questions we had.
Our suites was big with antique furniture. Some quirkiness but it's Rome and these are old buildings so just go with it.
The location is perfect and access to everything.
This probably goes without saying but ear plugs are a must staying anywhere is Italy. Bed
- Simon (9/5): Friendly helpful and amazing location - Location. Spacious apartment. The amazing service including a tour of neighbourhood on arrival. Best tiramisu and gelato steps away. Nothing
- craig (10/5): -
- Kelli (10/5): Perfect - highly recommend - Comfortable beds, hot water in shower, great location near everything, quiet!
- Minghao (10/5): Wonderful location, plenty of space, and full of historic charm - We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is fantastic, right in the centre with lots of restaurants just outside and many of Rome’s main sights within easy walking distance. We were able to walk to most places, which made the trip so much easier. The apartment itself is very spacious and has a lot of lovely historic character. Having two bathrooms was also a big plus for our family and made the stay much more comfortable. The main thing to be aware of is the check-in time, as arriving late may involve an extra fee. However, this can be avoided if you arrange a transfer through the hotel, which is helpful.
- Iain (9/5): Absolute Gem! - The welcome from the owners was incredible, they are so friendly and caring. The suites are quirky and very unique but it’s a great location and wonderful home from home.
Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay.
- Vincent (10/5): -
- Holger (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft in großartiger Lage. - Historisches Gebäude in großartiger Lage.
Gut und komfortabel ausgestattet. Sehr sauber, Fenster zur belebten Straße schalldicht. Check in und check out unkompliziert und sehr freundlich.
- Amanda (10/5): Amazing apartment in Rome - We loved the location of this beautiful apartment. Very central and close to many of the major attractions in Rome. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Nothing. We loved it.
- Michael Forbes (10/5): - Location is perfect for those wanting to stay in the most central part of Rome. The room was large and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was small, but expected in Rome.
- Kelly (9/5): -
- Pam (10/5): Excellent location and comfortable setting. - Location is close to sites we wanted to see - Vatican, Coliseum, Pantheon, and several matkets. Staff very accommodating. Hot water not always available.
- Yvonne (9/5): Exceptional hospitality in the best location in Rome. - Exceptional staff, especially Tekla who was amazing throughout even before we arrived in Rome, her advice & recommendations were fabulous & she made our staff extra special.
The hospitality of everyone was also exceptional. We were allowed early checked (11.30am how incredible is that) as room was ready. Same also with checkout, very accommodating.
The location 10/10. In the middle of a bustling street within walking distance to all the main sites & fabulous restaurant & gelato yet no noise heard in bedroom.
Bedroom was really spacious, bed really comfortable & spa bath special touch. Room was also really warm, lots of coffee & complimentary bottle of Prosecco for my husbands 50th was really kind.
Breakfast plentiful in nearby restaurant. There is a great choice of breakfast.
Overall superb stay. Gracie mille! Unfortunately the bathroom smelled from the drains. Once this issue is fixed I would not hesitate to give this guesthouse 100% recommendation. Thank you!

- Susan (8/5): Navona gallery — The Gem! - Navona Gallery Suites is a gem of a place. It has charm and old-world appeal placed perfectly among the cobblestone streets near Piazza Navona.
Inside is a courtyard of old stone and marble. There are sitting rooms and old relics throughout, giving the feel of an antique store.
Our family of three loved it, especially how we could step outside into one of the most beautiful section of Rome. Breakfast was included in our plan, and it was a little café steps away. Our room was very clean. Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating.
- Margaret (10/5): - Start to finish everything about this place was nothing short of amazing! Absolutely beautiful room. the owner was kind helpful and excellent with communicating with us before check in. The hotel is in a great ZTL area. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
- 鈴木 (10/5): 素敵空間 - スタッフの対応が親切なのと、建物自体が歴史があり、非常に趣を感じた。 Wi-Fiの接続がたまたま悪かったくらいです。
- Martha (10/5): This place is a hidden gem in Rome, i really felt like a local. Amazing place. Highly recommend - Everything!
- Volpe (10/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): - Great location. Fun area with activity, best tiramisu and gelato! Easy walk to the Vatican. A couple of issues immediately upon arrival, which they did take care of as quickly as possible. Water wouldn’t get hot on our last day. Locks on the doors can be a little challenging.
- mitchell (10/5): Great place - The location was fantastic. On a very busy vibrant area. The 500-year-old building was charming. The room, although dated matched and was appropriate for the age of the building. The bedding was very comfortable. The room was clean. Air conditioning kept the room comfortable. The amazing thing was when you closed the windows. The outside noise was completely neutralized, allowing for a very comfortable sleep. When we return to Rome, we would return to Navona Gallery suites. Our friends absolutely love this place as well.
- Patrice (10/5): - Very convenient to sites I wanted to see. Staff was very helpful. The room was large and comfortable. My only issue was the skeleton key for the door. There were a few times I had a very difficult locking and unlocking he door.
- Mark (10/5): - The room was everything we expected it to be and you can't beat the location. Just a few minutes walking distance to many of the premier attractions and dining options. Silvia proved herself to be a great host by communicating with us prior to our arrival, arranging for transportation from the airport and then providing us with an informal walking tour of the neighborhood where she helped make us familiar with our surroundings and made some excellent dining recommendations. The beds were comfortable and had a nice foam topper, unlike one of our other accommodations in Tuscany. Highly recommend this spot.
- Dawn (10/5): - Can't say enough about this property. It was like stepping back in time to old Europe. Concierge it top notch and property is within walking distance of almost anything you would want to do in Rome. Felt like a little oasis.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Favorite neighborhood in Rome - My favorite neighborhood in Rome. This was my first time staying here and I will definitely consider it again in the future. It's a perfect location for feeling 'local' with cafes at your doorstep and easy walking distance from all of the major tourist destinations. We stayed in the terrace suite, a mini apartment and very spacious for us with two bathrooms and terrace where one even was able to work remotely. Sylvia was very attentive when there was an issue with one of the bathrooms and acted quickly to resolve it. She was so nice and helpful! Notes for future visitors, the apartment is on the second floor with stair access - heavy suitcases would not be advisable!
- Resit (10/5): -
- O (10/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): - Perfect place to stay in Rome. Silvia, the receptionist was incredible. Room was beautiful, bed was comfortable, location was great.
Would 100% stay here again.
- Lydia (10/5): - Traian was the best host we could've asked for! Very knowledgable on where to eat, helpful with any questions, and just very kind. The room itself was amazing, had so much character! If you like antiques and old-styled rooms but with all the modern amenities, this is it!
- Bernheisel (10/5): - The location was amazing. We loved the character of the room and the beauty of the history.
- Pierpaolo (8/5): - Y
- Srikanth (10/5): - The host Traiano and the owner were fabulous, ready to help and answer any questions you had. The breakfast was at a cafe downstairs and was cozy and pleasant staff. Overall, had a great experience and would certainly stay here again.
Gave the experience of staying in a private Italian home. Location was convenient to a taxi stand and walkable to some places (in the right weather :) )
Would recommend
- Victoria (6/5): - Check in to the property is to be pre-arranged as there is not a lobby or 24 hour concierge. Our check in arrangements were easy, got a tour pf the property and were shown our room and how to enter the building- appreciated that!
The age of the building was known as it is in an old district. The decor plays to this, which we knew. Our room was a first floor double queen which sat in the middle of a court yard area. The room itself was very musky, and for this I will not return. The room was damp, even with the AC, and it smelt and felt cold and wet, which made things uncomfortable. Not sure what other style rooms are like.
- Adam Francis (10/5): - This 'villa' is beautiful.
The perfect Italian property. The gorgeous wooden doorway from the cobbled Roman street takes you in to a magical courtyard.
Stunning! Loved staying here.
You litteraly have Rome on your doorstep when you stay here!
- Jen (10/5): - We were traveling back to the US from a trip to South Africa and wanted to break up the flight, so we decided to stay in Rome a few days. We couldn’t have been happier with this location. Check in was so easy, they helped us arrange transportation from the airport, which was so helpful. We stayed in the ‘honeymoon suite’ bc it was the only room they had left when we booked and we loved it. It was very quiet, spacious, and clean! It was the perfect spot in terms of distance to all the major attractions. We were able to walk everywhere. Silvia gave us a mini tour of the area when we arrived and made some great recommendations on places to shop and eat. We will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Roma and will recommend to friends and family as well. It felt like we were part of a little community inside of the giant city.
- Michael (10/5): - Awesome location! Awesome host! Room on city side not for light sleepers but I slept well!
- Sándor (10/5): -
- Diane (10/5): - Such a cool property! Perfect location for touring all the cool sites in Rome. It's like a block or two away from Navona Piazza and right outside the property is a fun street filled with people, restaurants, shops.... I'm so glad we chose here to stay. The property is not a cookie cutter hotel, in fact it's a 500 year old building so it's a little rustic, but I loved it more because of that. Also, the staff were so helpful and available. My only suggestion is to get a dehumidifier for the room, it felt a little damp. Also, they provided shampoo and soaps, but no blow drier.
- Brian (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): A Roman dream filled with charm and character set in the best street in Rome! - We absolutely loved everything about our stay at the Navona Gallery Suites! From the warm and friendly team, including Sylvia who treated us like family, to the gorgeous historic building filled with charm and character at every corner, we couldn’t have imagined a better start to our trip to Italy. Located in one of the top 5 streets in Rome amongst foodie and shopping heaven, we can’t recommend Navona Gallery Suites more highly. We are already counting down the days until we will be back. Thank you for making our stay so special! We loved absolutely everything!
- robin (10/5): - Triano could not have been more welcoming or friendly. He gave us tips on how and where to get taxis. His pride regarding the property was clear, and he was genuinely invested in assuring that we had a great stay. We would stay here again.
- Suzanne (10/5): Love, love, love - Our stay at Navona Gallery Suites was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly. Traian was so kind and helpful. He gave great advice and restaurant recommendations that made our trip so memorable. Our room was very spacious for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The location was great too! We could walk to all the historical sights. I loved the neighborhood as well. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Rome.
- Mason (10/5): - Traian was so welcoming & went above & beyond when we were in a bind. Love the location, plenty of restaurants & grocery store. Night life is right out the door but cannot hear once you get to the room & peaceful inside the suites with the gardens. Safe area. Rooms are charming & spacious, we have everything we needed, it's cleaned daily, and unlike the air conditioning at our other apartment in Italy, this AC is cold & comfortable.
- Tracy (10/5): Amazing Staff and outstanding location!! - The staff were outstanding! We were greeted warmly and given many excellent recommendations and immediately treated like family. Our son was ill on the day we were leaving and they graciously accommodated our request for a later check out so that he could rest for a few more hours before we took the train. We were so grateful!! nothing
- Kevin (10/5): - Beautiful little hotel on a great street in Rome. Will stay again
- Kimberley (10/5): - Love this hotel! Beautiful, large, clean room. Close to many major attractions.
- Scott (10/5): - Staff was fantastic. Great location and really nice room.
- David (10/5): - Navona Gallery Suites is located on a primary walking route between the Vatican and monumental buildings like the coliseum. It was around a 30 minute walk opposite directions to each. We were able to walk to both the afternoon of arrival after our cruise. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Guided us to local restaurants and arranged for transport to airport. Note that it is a small bed and breakfast style property. It has significant character.
- Helena (10/5): - It was in a perfect spot next to a vibrant area of Rome.
- Jenna (10/5): A++ Hotel - Great location within walking distance of many of the major attractions. It is in a lively neighborhood with many great restaurants and shops all around. However, when you step through the doors of Navona Gallery Suites, you leave the noise and crowds behind. Our room on the ground floor was lovely and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the beautiful courtyard within the building. Sylvia and Traian were very helpful in showing us around the facility, providing background information about our room and the building, arranging transportation to the airport and storing our luggage until we had to leave in the afternoon. They both made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend Navona Gallery Suites!
- Yew-meng (10/5): Best location in Rome. - I think we had the best location in the city. It’s at the centre of everything and great restaurants are all nearby. The host is very helpful and nice. This place is a living history where the tiles and structure are more 500 years old.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, location The stairs
- Kevin (8/5): - Other reviewers have noted that the check-in process is confusing and I agree. The staff is very friendly. The room has original 500 year old floors. The shower was nice and the room was very quiet even though it's right above a busy area. I'd say the price is justifed because of the central location, rome is surprisingly difficult to get around.
If you're an American remember that Italians are much more concerned with giving friendly service than efficient service. It’s very refreshing to be treated like a person in Italy instead of an economic unit like in the USA.
- Natalie (10/5): - Incredible experience, perfect stay. We accepted the transfer service with a driver to take us directly from the airport to the hotel, and it saved us so much time and money. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful, and the property is in the best, most lively neighborhood. Right in the middle of tons of fun restaurants, dessert, wine, and activities. Even though the streets surrounding the property are lively throughout the day and evening, the entrance and thick buildings allow for the rooms to be quiet and peaceful. Will absolutely be staying again.
- Laura (9/5): Historical beauty in easy walking distance to everything - Location was amazing! Hosts were friendly. Beautiful historic building. Thank you for having a fan in the room. The bed was a little soft but this is often personal preference.
- Gill (7/5): Music - The accommodation unfortunately was situated over a bar/restaurant which played music until midnight, without the music it would have been excellent.
- Karen (10/5): - Beautiful accommodations in a vibrant part of the city. Walking distance to so many areas of interest. Loved the suite - clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (8/5): Super location. - Very good location and super friendly host. Breakfast is at cafe on the street next to B&B. Very basic. Only coffee and a croixant.
- michele (10/5): - The staff was exceptional. Making suggestions for local sights and food options. They arranged a very early pick up to the airport for us. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. Many thanks.
- Carol (10/5): - This was our fourth visit to Rome and we have stayed in Campo de Fiori area a few times as well as close to Republica on Via Nationale and this is our favourite location. We loved this historic property and would stay here again. It’s a unique setting and in the heart of it all. You are literally steps away from Piazza Navona and the street has quaint restaurants, shops, and gellato! This property won’t be for those wanting a high-end, luxury stay where everything is modern and feels like a hotel. This has more of a ‘bed and breakfast’ vibe, but it was cool and funky. Our only issue is that we stayed in a room on the main level that was very dark so it felt a bit like we were in a tomb but if you are out of your room most of the day and evening this isn’t really an issue. Our booking didn’t include breakfast but that was fine with us since we prefer buying groceries and using the kitchenette. The lovely and very helpful Sylvia greeted us on the street as we arrived by taxi so we had zero issues checking in. Would definitely stay here again but may ask for a room with more natural light.
- William Robert (10/5): - This place was so amazing. Private and secluded and quiet but right near a busy street with tons to do and see. Amazing hotel!
- Scott (10/5): Great location and charm - Manager was very helpful and nearby. We left an item behind and we easily communicated with her to return to pick up. Great location near piazza Navona. Bustling street, but quiet inside property.
- Sean (10/5): Central location with everything you need! - the suite was in the perfect spot for a Rome tourist to see and do everything you want in your day. centrally located with restaurants, shops, and sight seeing opportunities around every corner. The quaint streets and friendly people made it all the better. I highly recommend eating at least one meal at Mimi e Coca which is directly downstairs. The food is amazing and the people were even better, we can't recommend it highly enough. the shower is very small, especially for someone that is 6'2 260. the original bed was very uncomfortable however even then the staff went above and beyond and replaced the entire mattress for us so that we had good sleep from them on
- ronald (10/5): An Awesome Location - The hotel is set in a 500 year old building along a narrow street with restaurants, shops and a great VIBE. Though the street was busy and a little noisy, inside the courtyard and into the suite it was very quiet and peaceful. We would stay here again!! The hotel is also very close to many famous sites and makes the city's attractions walkable.
- Yiling (10/5): - The location is SUPERB! All attractions are within walking distance, including The Vatican.
Besides, Traian the staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Navona Gallery Suites!
- Poppy (10/5): - It was in the middle of a very busy street but very quiet in the room .
Rooms were spacious with good heating / cooling .
Beautifully and artistically decorated .
Easy access to food and shopping and walking distance to many attractions .
- Deborah (10/5): Would definitely stay there again! - Location to Piazza Navona, as well as other landmarks was great. Close to many restaurants. Room was very large with modern bathroom.
- karen (10/5): - A very unique place. Loved the location. Great restaurant's. Staff was helpful.
- Ted (8/5): - The area is wonderful for all the action and eateries right outside your door.
The property is quirky—a 500 yr old townhouse complex literally steps from Piazza Navona.
We would have ranked services higher if we didn’t experience such a frustrating and nerve-wracking arrival experience with no one at the desk and no one to talk to. After panicking for an hour, I went back outside and noticed taped to the door was a tiny faded piece of paper telling us to check in at the shop next door. It wasn’t a great start but our visit did improve over our stay.
- Kimberly (6/5): - I’m disappointed that I spent over $1700 for a 3 night stay here. I’m in Europe about 2 months every year, and we usually are in Rome 3 days or more when we come. I have a usual place that costs half this price but it was fully booked. Other than the location and the friendly host I can’t find much to recommend. Our unit was not clean, most things looked very cheap and in poor shape. Being 500 years old means no elevator, only long steep stairs to get to room. There are not much amenities available. Twice we arranged transportation with them and both times we were stood up. Every day we were shorted towels. The soap was a tiny cheap thing, and a small packet of body wash-neither smelled at all. No phones in room to call anybody. Breakfast was down the street-either a single croissant OR a thin omelette. (Sorry I’m used to breakfast buffets where it’s fun to try all the local specialties). 2 of the bottled water in fridge had already been opened. Tried 2 of the restaurants nearby-Mimi n Coco had the worst lasagna, the sandwich place across street the worst sandwich. I was kind of excited to stay here, but our room looked nothing like the pictures, and the city view was actually a street view. I have no idea why people have rated it so highly. I am seriously shocked at what I got for my money-broken down dirty room, no amenities, part-time staff, and croissant with coffee. I was longing for my well appointed room, rooftop bar and buffet, attentive staff, and $1000 in my pocket.
- ROGER (10/5): - Our host, Traian and Silvia took time to show us around the property and also gave recommendations of places to visit and restaurants on a map of the city. Make sure you try out the recommend food places for true "ROMA" food, delicious!!! The property is located in a bustling area full of bars, restaurants and shops but also really family friendly and safe. We would definitely want to return to this accommodation. Our unit over looked the bustling street, loved the atmosphere and vibe of the city core we got looking our our window.
- sky (10/5): - I highly recommend the Navona Gallery Suites. We stayed in the largest apartment being over 100m2 with own terrace, kitchen and ample room to move. 2 bathrooms as well which is great for families.
The location is unbeatable. We saw so much in a short period of time. Will definitely return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good Rome Hotel, Great location. - Good location! Near a lot of trendy spots. Air conditioning was nice, relatively clean except possible mildew spots above shower, very friendly helpful staff, not always around but available when you contact them. Traiano who works the antique store next door was very accommodating, if you can not get in the initial doors for check in, try finding him next door. Full private bathroom, hot water in and out at some points but the building is very old and has a lot of antique items so if you’re into that it’s nice.
- Kevin (8/5): - This property is exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is fantastic, being right in the heart of Rome. There are restaurants, retail shops, coffee shops, bars and sight seeing literally on your doorstep. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and very secure. Best of all is the management, Silvia looked after us magnificently and made sure our stay there was very enjoyable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to you.
- Sheryl (8/5): - What a lovely apt! Silvia was great at greeting us and helping us to orient ourselves in the city. The apartment was huge! We loved being around the corner from Piazza Navona. Our unit was at the top of a long, steep flight of stairs, other than that it was great!
- Domenic (8/5): - The property is in a great location near Piazza Navona and is surrounded by restaurants and bars. This makes the location ideal for seeing the main sites. This is a historical building so has an old/antique vibe to rooms which are comfortable and accessed by stairs. Host was very helpful and approachable. Breakfast is held at a location a few meters down the street and was a tad underwhelming (Coffee, fruit juice and cornetto) and was unable to be provided due to the opening time being after our early check out to catch our flight. This place offers a more than adequate solution to one's needs in a great location
- Emily (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Navona Gallery Suites. Our room was spacious and perfect for our family of four. The location was fantastic with a ton of dining options right outside of our doorstep. It is located on a very popular street, but it was very quiet at night. Would definitely stay there again.
- Anthony (10/5): - Great property and helpful staff. Love the air conditioning in Rome in the middle of summer! Could have spent a week just walking around the area around the suites.
- Saravanakumar (8/5): - Excellent location which offsets all other inconveniences such as no water pressure in bathroom, no working coffee machine . Host is amazing . Communication is great. Great place to sleep and excellent location to enjoy the Rome .
- Amy Diem (10/5): - We’re a family of 5 with 2 teenagers. We all love this place because it has plenty of room for us 5, is very convenient for everything: foods, transportation and walkable to all interest points. It’s July so it’s very hot in Rome and AC saved us all. Staff is great . It comes with microwave and fridge and a nice courtyard. I love everything about this place, except the shower, kinda low on pressure but I’d definitely stay here again .
- Ahran (10/5): - Location is great. The suite was the perfect size for our family of 5. The private terrace was beautiful.
- Claudia (10/5): - Amazing stay at Navona Gallery Suites. Everything was perfect and Traian couldn’t have been more helpful.
Huge room decorated with antiques with king size comfy beds. Nothing “cookie cutter” about this place!
- Richard (10/5): Great location before departing Rome - Excellent spacious room, walking distance to the beach and restaurants and short drive to the airport.
- Katie (10/5): - We read the reviews and agree! This hotel is a unique place. The location couldn't be more central in Rome and the staff couldn't be nicer. It is not the fancy modern hotel but is rich with history and is exactly why you are visiting Rome. We definitely recommend to all!
- Kerry (10/5): Great stay - Great experience beginning with the friendly greeting by Traian one of the hosts. Great location in the heart of everything but not so close as to be a problem. Excellent neighbourhood to simply wander and enjoy.
- John (10/5): - This was a unique property and we really enjoyed our stay. Giampiero was very welcoming, showed us to our room, and took us on a walk around the immediate neighborhood.
This is not a traditional hotel, however, and the check in was a little confusing. You need to go to Giampiero's shop two doors down to find her to check in. There is no staffed front desk. Breakfast is at the bar two doors away (delicious omelettes).
But the room was spacious, clean and quiet. It was well equipped with espresso maker, hot pot and wine glasses. It's just steps from Piazza Navona in the midst of a lively neighborhood that quiets down at night. We'd stay again.
- Danielle (10/5): Great location, with helpful hosts made for a wonderful stay in Roma! - The location was fabulous close to everything, Travis fountain, Spanish steps. Such a charming part of Rome. Amazing restaurants outside your door. The place felt to old works Roma! Nothing would stay again!
- Michelle (10/5): Wonderful quiet apartment in the perfect location - The authenticity of the apartment right in the heart of a Navona. Large king bed plus 2 singles 2 bathrooms kitchen lounge dining excellent. Really comfortable with a nice patio perfect stay in Roma. Nothing was perfect for us
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
