Guest Reviews
- Jo (8/5): Excellent view of Naples and mount Vesuvius! - We was very pleased with this hotel/BB. We arrived after the check in time and the staff waited for us to arrive. The hotel is like a castle and is very romantic especially on the top floor (junior suite). For the best view of Naples and mount Vesuvius this has got to be the best hotel in Naples.
- IVAN (10/5): Luogo accogliente e camera confertevole - Esperienza positiva. Consigliato per coppie.
- Verified traveler (2/5): No transportation, taxis only. Far from café's. - We had horrible experience, tried to cancel as discovered how far from center hotel was. No luck, as don't speak Italian. Horrible in every way. I will never book thru Expedia again.
- Bob (10/5): Torre di Ro - Unique location with one of the best views of Napoli. The tower is built on top of a hill, it's half an hour walk (climb) to the city center or you can go by taxi. Friendly hosts, we had a nice stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): King of the Castle - It was JUST GREAT. You life in "your own Castle" with a view all over Neapels. The Landlord is a very nice and helpful Lady (Queen ;-) ) and its something really special. Its of course not 5* with all the advantages and you have to take a few steps to your room but the view and the special ambiente of the tower makes it to the best stay you can have. 4th floor is the best.
- Verified traveler (10/5): The most amazing view!! - My husband and I had an amazing time and the Torre was everything we were hoping it would be. The view was incredible, the place quite, way closer to the archeological museum than we had thought (20 minutes walking leisurely). The hostes are darlings and couldn't hope for more!!
- Heikki (8/5): Unique, beautiful view - Only one night. Late arrival, early leave.
Old but clean, nice staff. A but cold bathroon, but ... Uniqueness compensates all!
- Tuomas (10/5): Magical hotel with magnificent views - Truely a magical place to stay in Naples. The hotel/B&B has a very nice atmosphere and the setting in a medieval tower situated in a "secret" garden is truely unique experience. The views from the tower over the city of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the bay are superb.
Walking required though, as there were no elevators back when the tower was built and the Hotel is located on Moiariello hill (you can walk down, but I recommend taking a cab up). Museo di Capodimonte is very close so be to visit that.
Nice and friendly service. Clean and well kept rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A B&B above the rest. Literally. - When planning our honeymoon in Italy, my wife and I chose Torre di Ro as our hotel in Naples. The price was right on Expedia, and it looked like a very unique place to stay. Staying in a tower that's several hundred years old certainly isn't something you can do everywhere!
Pros:
- very unique place to stay
- cozy B&B
- the owner, Rosaria, is super friendly and helpful
- great price
- amazing views from the rooms and the top of the tower
Cons:
- that hill, oh that hill
- if you're not a fan of stairs, or unable to handle them, this might not be the spot for you
- that area of Naples isn't super nice and is a bit rundown
- Zhanara (6/5): Indeed, a charming lady! - We were traveling from Florence to Naples with a car,we just need it room to stay overnight to catch our plane to London. It's a private house, the owner is very nice charming lady,we were little shocked of the neighbourhood,it doesn't look safe, but we were happy to finally arrive and to be in safe room.
We also looked for this place as we need it to be close to marina and the airport, that was convenient, and car park,we parked in her courtyard but was charged 10 Euros for that, which is not mentioned on the website while booking. The room was on top floor,no lift, many stairs,so we decided to leave our luggage in the car and it was difficult as I am 8 month pregnant, toilet is outside of the room and shower inside with a curtain. Breakfast was simple and nice.
- Dorothy (10/5): Unique beautiful view historic - If you're looking for something unique, fun and are able to walk up lots of stairs, this is the place for you. The breakfast was great, people were very helpful, we only had one day to sightsee in Naples, had a great time, and time to enjoy wonderful pizza at a nearby pizzeria. Beautiful view of Mt. Vesuvius.
- christopher (10/5): Charming and charismatic, individual place to stay - You'll always remember your stay for its charming owner sharing her individual home, with beautiful paintings, artwork, books and fantastic views from four sides of this eclectic tower on a hill overlooking Naples. The rooms are spacious, some with a balcony.
On a practical side there is plenty of room to leave a car securely in an enclosed courtyard. From outside the nearby Capodimonte Museum nearby it is easy to get a bus into Naples city.
