- Amer (2/5): - Location I had a booking from 23 to 26. I checked in on 23 Nov and I paid for the 3 nights but I found the internet was slow and the room was noisy. The AC is split. Joining the meeting was not good because of the poor internet. I checked out after a few hours and moved to another hotel. When I asked the reception to charge me one night and refund me the other 2 nights, they refused and asked me to contact booking.com I contacted booking.com who called the hotel but the hotel refused to change the dates and make it for one might. So, I paid for 3 night and stayed few hours. They could charge me one night and consider it as if I didn't show up.

- Nouss (4/5): - L'emplacement, la propreté. L'hôtel aurait vraiment besoin d'une rénovation. L'équipement est assez vieux (notamment dans la salle de bain), le restaurant moyen, avec un impact global sur le confort. Surtout, l'hôtel manque de transparence sur ses prix: après la réservation, vous recevez un message indiquant qu'il peut y avoir une "petite" différence en raison de l'obligation de l'hôtel de facturer en monnaie locale et du taux de change utilisé par les hôtels au Mozambique. Sauf que cette différence est plutôt de l'ordre de 15%, très significatif surtout sur un séjour de plusieurs jours. L'hôtel aurait intérêt à exercer plus de transparence sur ses tarifs qui sont déjà exorbitants au vu de la qualité des installations et du service.

The in house travel agent was too expensive compared with Yango.

- Michiel (3/5): Crooked me by charging way more money than the booking agreed rate. Avoid! - Large room decent gym Crooks!!! They charge you much more than the booking rate becaue they convert the dollar value into locla currency using an inflated exchange rate of 1060 to the dollar instead of 920 they promose in the email, so you spend 50 to 70usd more per night, and they did not want to correct it. They are cheaters and crooks.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It’s a good hotel but there are many things to improve like a better training to the employees. The keeping house service sometimes do not do a complete service. The waiters are slow. In the gym you have 4 thredmill but just one was working. Doesn’t have towels available as you require to use. The price is expensive then you have to offer a similar service. - Sotirios (3/5): Not staying in that hotel again - This hotel has nothing to offer other than convenient location - if applicable. Paid 15% more because they didnt accept to charge the room at the agreed USD amount and only accepted payment in local currency using their own exchange rate. Upon arrival, received a letter stating that internet is not working - and didnt have internet for most time of my stay for the business trip. Overall, unacceptable.

- Margareth (7/5): It was alright, the wifi is perfect, and enjoyed my stay - I enjoyed the fact that I requested a room without any carpets and they provided for it. The staff at a breakfast was a very helpful and the restaurant food was out of this world delicious The hotel is located in the CBD and was a walk away from the venue where our meeting was hosted. The aircon in the gym was not working - so it was very hot. The charged price on Booking.com was not the same as was charged.

Friendly helpful staff. car hire in the foyer so very convenient breakfast weak but ok. coffee is dreadful. the dinners were not great. had dinner there twice. prego very tasty but meat chewy and fatty with sinew. eating out a better option unless you have no alternative. the safes are loose in the cupboard.

- Chikwanah (10/5): Great view of the sea from 11th floor - Beautiful hotel in the Luanda city centre. The staff ensured there was someone who speaks English to assist me. Enjoyed meals in the 3rd floor bar and also breakfast on the first floor. Am definitely planning to return soon

- G4184MC (4/5): Phone,Phone Phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - If you have the choice do not entertain this hotel!! or maybe the better of the bunch?? you have to phone for everything and most of the times you call the person on the other end of the call cant speak English, not that the language is the problem. when you call for something make sure it is only one thing you are asking for, you ask for coffee and soft drink you will only get one or the other. if you have a stay longer than 2 days you will have to phone for fresh towels and bed linen. so be prepared to call all the time and have a lot of patience, as things ordered can be up to 2 to 3 hours waiting .
- Vacationer771449 (8/5): Two nights@Skyna - Stayed two nights at the Skyna while waiting for PCR test and results to fly back to UK. Great selection of food and of a very good standard. Very good terrace area on the third floor to catch some sun and have drinks. Rooms are clean with everything you would need but could do with a refresh as they’re a bit dated.
- zebrax2016 (8/5): 4 Star Hotel with all the trappings for a comfortable stay - A four star hotel in the center of Luanda City built in 2009. I stayed in this hotel as I had to complete 7 days in quarantine as per Angola regulations before proceeding with my business. The rooms were surprisingly clean and of decent size, i had a room with large bay windows which gave a good view of the city and good amount of daylight which was important to me for some sense of normalcy since you can't leave the room for 7 days. Food was a challenge as respectfully i was not accustomed to the local food that was served in house and the hotel did not allow outside food delivery which was disappointing especially for guests with dietary or religious restrictions. This was cruel as surviving on French fries for a week was unimaginable. I hope the hotel looks at its policy for food delivery as other hotels in Luanda do not have such policy. When in quarantine rooms are cleaned only once a week. Language may be an issue as all the staff speak Portuguese but few understand English. Having said that staff are friendly and obliging. There is facility for coffee and kettle is provide for hot water but there is no iron/ironing board in room. Tv with international channels is available. Excellent WiFi connectivity for multiple devices. Overall a Nice hotel with comfortable stay but pricey.
- gjcsafety01 (6/5): Quarantine stop over - Have stayed in 3 hotels now in the city and this is by far the best of the bunch - food is nice at the buffet and room service was fast and food was hot - no complaints at all. Shame no balcony to catch some fresh air. Staff are pleasant and speak English good enough - the management also helped me on arrival when my room was not ready - nice touch. Thanks Skyna keep up the good work.
- MarekG-07 (4/5): If you have too - I was staying in this hotel on 10th floor for two weeks quarantine. We where not allowed to leave the room. The room is spacious-quite big. There is it about 35" TV in it and a bathroom with a shower. It is equipped with AC, fridge, safe and cloakroom. It has two big single beds quite comfortable which you can put together. It has as well big desk located right by the window. You don't have a balcony there-what you can do is only open the window a little bit. You have access to free Wi-Fi which in my room was quite fast. We had food delivered three times a day. Variety and quality of the food in my opinion I would rate for one and a half maximum two stars. Thanks we brought some food with us so we were supporting ourselves with snacks, musli, sweets some peanut butter. There was no cattle in my room. I have to fight for it for two days. The biggest problem there was the food. No presentation no taste no quality or quantity was presented in this four-star hotel. We were getting the food from the chefs menu. Depends on the situation you can get stone cold food or warm if you where lucky. Most of the time french fries were coming soggy without any salt, ketchup or mayonnaise. Few times happened that the salad was warm long time out of the fridge. Once I get salad with mold on the tomatoes. You can order from the guest menu (room service) The time of delivery was between 2- 4 till 5 hours. During this 2 weeks stay nobody brought beddings to change for yourself. If you wanted fresh towels you need to call the reception. We where told you can’t order food from outside the hotel… if you are on a diet this is the right place to lose the weight. - duncanc403 (6/5): Nice room and good public areas - Western style hotel. Check in and check out were reasonably efficient. Room was to a good standard and fairly well appointed. Public areas are up to Western standards but the hotel is let down by the restaurant. Service is fine but it has poor ambience (like a school dinner hall) and the choice of food is not great.
- Lars (8/5): Good Choice - The service at the hotel was great. The rooms are relatively clean. The breakfast could have greater choice And warm food-eggs were always cold. Definitely a place to consider when staying in Luanda since the hotel is very central.
- D_Willy_S (6/5): Really expensive, but decent hotel with kind staff - This hotel is in a great location downtown, but you are very wise to PREPAY the room in that credit card connectability can be a real challenge. I tried 3 times over two days and finally paid for my room. I had a very nice room, but my colleagues did not. The breakfast area is spartan. Staff is very friendly, but this is a very expensive place to stay.
- 441charlottes (6/5): A nice hotel in an expensive city - Skyna is a nice hotel to stay in if you are in Luanda. It is not one of the most expensive ones and not one of the most luxurious ones but good value for the money. Breakfast is good and the bar is nice. The rooms are clean and ok. It is centrally located and has a nice view from the upper floors facing the sea. The staff is friendly and helpful.
- seanm201 (6/5): Hit and Miss - Firstly, it is important to put this review in the context that we are talking about Africa and one always expects less in Africa, which is sad to say but true. Firstly, I have to say that the hotel is clean and well-located. I've stayed in this hotel twice and had very different experiences with the rooms. The first time I arrived, my room was fine and I paid at the end. The second time I arrived, the reception insisted that I paid in advance, which I do not like, and then gave me a terrible room (511). It was right above a noisy (all night long) intersection, the safe didn't work, the sink didn't drain and there was no hot water. Other than that it was fine. When I asked to change rooms, it took 3 hours and the reception desk never called to say the new room was ready; I had to make multiple trips to reception to ask. Ask for a room on a high floor away from Avenida do Portugal. The internet is African, so I think that 'sporadic' might be the best word to use. When apps need to update, it always takes a few attempts (if ever) to get the updates to fully download. Sit in the downstairs bar for the best wifi. There is a gym with 4 dread mills but only 2 of them work; 1 for 2 minutes and the other for 5 minutes. There would be a real chance of getting fat here, if the restaurant were any good. The restaurant is OK for breakfast (although EXACTLY the same thing every single day). It is disastrous for anything else. I'm now writing this review in the restaurant, where I asked for sandwich 43 minutes ago and still waiting. This was the same yesterday. On Sunday, I ordered dinner and the waiter told me that my first 3 choices were not available (they haven't had the seafood tagliatelle for 2 whole weeks now). When I got tired of guessing what might be on the menu I asked the waiter, who told me they had the chicken. So, I ordered the chicken. 5 minutes later, he came back to say that they didn't have the chicken. In fact, they only had 1 dish available from the whole menu and that was veal on skewers. I'm not a fan of veal but I was hungry, so I ordered it with rice. 25 minutes later the meal arrived but it wasn't veal, it was undercooked steak chunks on a skewer. It was cold and too salty to eat and the rice I had ordered looked suspiciously like potato crisps. I nibbled at the 3 pieces of steak but couldn't bring myself to eat them. At least someone who appeared to be in charge told me that I would not have to pay for my meal. Then the waiter still asked me to pay, until informed otherwise. I've now finished my review and it's been exactly 58 minutes since I ordered that sandwich, so I hope that it's good when it finally arrives.

Breakfast is decent, otherwise the buffet style lunches and dinners are nothing to write home about. I needed some urgent laundry done and this was done well and quicker than expected. Internet was down for a couple of hours, otherwise a pleasant stay

- llcoold (4/5): Nice exterior, rundown and dated interior - Similar to other people's comments, wifi is terrible in the room, and then cuts out all the time. In reception its good,so if you need to work outside office hours, you'll be parking your butt in lobby area. Speaking of lobby,front desk staff were very polite and helpful-full marks to them. Room service had a terrible selection, with only 2 items available each day, which never came as menu indicated, and was of a very poor quality-even for Angola. Breakfast selection is also terrible...selection and quality so appalling, can't believe people have to pay to eat that. Tables left dirty, terrible service. Rooms were basic, but clean, so not faulting them their... as for overall rAting, it's more of a two to low three star quality hotel. people who gave them higher marks either have never been in a hotel before, or have very, very low standards.
- Mac489 (6/5): Room for improvement - Quiet room with comfortable bed. Ordered room service for late breakfast / early lunch. Food was part cooked with no taste. Shower drain blocked so water would not fully drain. Bottled water not replaced daily.
- rangestormer (8/5): Good considering whre you are - Fairly new hotel, clean and free from flying insects. The staff try hard but their english is poor. The service is very slow and the food is average at best. However nobody I know has been ill. The AC works ok and its quiet.
- simonv739 (6/5): Okay... - One of the better hotels in Luanda. Have stayed here several times on business travels. Rooms are okay, but could defiantly need a shine as a lot of things, especially the bathroom is worn. The restaurant is okay, the buffet is the same boring stuff as on most Luanda Hotels, but the selection here seems a bit more nice.
- Imali2017 (6/5): Ok for business travel - Ok hotel, with all the needed amenities. Restaurant and room service is ok, though with quite slow service and poor communication between the different departments of the hotel. E.g I had a challenge in paying my room service bill at end of stay, as it had not been sent to the reception. Some challenges for non-Portuguese speakers, but simple English is understood.
