Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice location very close to Mid Valley Mega Mall.
Peace and quiet.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Creepy hotel - Hotels conditions is not same as shownin the picture. Although the location is witch n walking distance to shopping mall (mid valley megamall), the location is very creepy.. the hotels building is end lot of the old shophouses building. The stairs also have squeaky sound when we climb it to the room. Even the interior look very nice, but the room condition is quite dark and creepy. I cant lock the door because, the lock is broken. I feel very unsecured to sleep in the room and checkout after a while...
Otherwise, the front officer and the staff is super friendly.. and they keep calling me to make sure I found the hotels. I think they do not realised their hotels is creepy... please upgrade the hotels. I give 1 star for the hotel. But..instead, I give 5 stars for the quality of your staff sir..

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overall good with friendly staff and rooms with good ID works inside. A simple and cozy budget stay. Cleanliness could be improved. The only issue will be the parking space as they have very limited parking space
- Richard (4/5): Avoid this place - Looks nice enough on the internet, but actually this place is a bit of a dive. The receptionist was unhelpful when I checked in and the place is just shabby.]The hot water lasts for all of 5 minutes ad the bathroom offers no privacy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): the hotel management should do something. - the location is good but facing the high traffic volume highway, very noisy. the hotel is pretty old. i can see that they have been trying to keep the condition but it is just too old to keep. it's time to change the in-room furnitures and equipment. cannot deny that the staff are polite and service quality is very good.
- HON KHUAN (6/5): Improve the bright lights to your room - There is no bright lights inside the room. There are only two table lamps on each side of the bed. Very dim .Almost impossible to unpack, pack properly and this is the only setback. Please install lights in the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We pay the payment through expedia, but when customer check in.
The hotel's staff want to collect the payment from customer without check system properly.
Besides, they said that we booking through booking.com. So please improve it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely little bit of paradise in Siem Reap. - The hotel is absolutely lovely with a pool and streams running through. The staff were excellent and spoke English very well. I felt like I was in paradise. And, the food was fantastic.
The hotel is a little way outside the town, but the staff take care of everything and arrange for a tuk-tuk whenever you need to go anywhere. And, coming back from town was easy and only $2.
My only complaint is that they need to turn down the water pressure on the hose in the bathroom!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Quite nice but need to have more facilities such as cafe..
- alfred (2/5): Room smell sewer from the shower/toilet room - Dark, dark, dark ! Could hardly see ! Very poor lighting and it's so hard to see anything . Safety box closet is pitch dark need a torchlight to see
- Danny (6/5): No lift Hotel - No lift, need to use staircase to level 3
- Ozzy Mick (6/5): GOOD VALUE - I enjoyed my stay as this hotel was diagonally opposite from a swank hotel in Mid Valley Mall, where wealthier relatives were staying.
Not much happening around here except for Mid Valley, which is a HUGE mall with a good variety of shops and eating places.
For me, the most critical features are cost, cleanliness and comfort. Orion does well on all counts, but there is room for improvement.
The aircon works, there's a TV if u insist, a safe, a jug, complimentary drinking water but no fridge, and the lighting is poor.
The best experience was the helpfulness of the staff. My thanks to Jeff and the team.
I will definitely be back if l need to stay in this part of K.L.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Mid valley - The hotel cleanliness needs to be improved and the location is not that safe. It is really convenient to go shopping because Mid Valley is nearby. The rooms are not suitable for families though.
- KHOO (6/5): - Overall is good, location is good. Less TV program to watch. Bathroom smiley. Circulation need to improve.
- jk tw (10/5): Nice location - Room rate is cheap and the room is far more than u pay.. Worth to stay. Will go back again.
- Kristine (2/5): - The service from the reception and the man that helped with luggage was great and friendly. The room itself was not. Stained curtains, stained bedding, stained and cracking walls. The bathtub was fabulous but the shower was horrible, broken and hard to manage inside the tub. Bad water pressure. WIFI didnt work most of our stay. No elevator so the stair climb was not fun. The only close thing to do was the Mid Valley Mall so be prepared to pay for taxis everywhere or a walk to the mall to spend money. Only place nearby to eat as well unless you are into 7-11 food. Taxis do not know where the hotel is either so was difficult to get back and cost extra as the driver searched and searched.
- Yelyzaveta (6/5): Just average.. - It was not my first time at this hotel...first one was around 4 years ago- which was very nice, everything was new...now the room was quite run down...towels-looks like only are rinsed, not washed properly...wifi not so strong...but the good thing - the location is good, walking distance to the mall and to mrt, which is big plus when you travel to KL...but be ready to wait for a train 30 minutes, which is very irritating as you wait for a train on the street without any fan...overall ok, suitable just for few nights stay..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient - Can walk leisurely and you still can reach midvalley within 5min,7E juz downstairs..
- Chin Khuan (2/5): - Horrible night where I got no electricity at all. Still waiting for the clarification.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly and helpful staffs. Nice design. However, cleanliness and can be improve.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It can be better.. - ~all are great except the fact that the shower room is attached to the bedroom. Maybe due to the fact that the air cond is too near to the bathroom, it is easier to catch cold if someone is not alert and turn it off when you go for a shower. The room that i went to is the room at ground floor.
~the toilet air-wick should place on the top, but not just top of the toilet bowl. It spray on the person in the toilet.
- Ooi (6/5): - The hotel has friendly staffs. The room is not very clean. No lift. No Wifi when I stay 4 days there. Staff told me Wifi will available at night start from day 1, but the Internet still not available after I leave.
- mohd (8/5): nice - location so scary.
- Jenny (8/5): Orion Hotel Friendly hotel - The room was neat, nice and clean. The staff was super friendly and nice too. Its very near to Mid Valley and Robinson shopping mall with great shopping and food. We will sure recommend to friends and back for stay.
- Daniel (4/5): - Hotel is ok bt outside of environment is bad at nite time. It hard to go some where. No food at nearby too
- Verified traveler (10/5): Orion is Awesome - I always blown by the rooms. Its my second stay with the hotel and like the first time, the hotel was always amazing. The staff also were soooo polite and I am happy enough with the stay.
- kim fah (6/5): Hotel location - Hotel is near to the midvally shopping complex by walking distance.Staffs are helpful and friendly. There is a 7/11 next door.
The only down side is the room is too dark, with brighter lighting will be best. Hotel is next to a high way so quite noisy.
- Mitchell (4/5): - The staff was nice but the room was in poor condition.
- tku (10/5): Nice hotel close to Mid Valley - A very nice hotel with friendly staff. The staff even helped me to bring my luggage to room. The room design is very unique. Just 5-10 min walk to Mid Valley.
- Stella (8/5): - We stayed for a night during our transit through mid valley. I like the hotel for its location. Very near the mall.
The staff is very friendly n helpful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointed. Dodgy and dark (unlike website) - Dodgy dark. Not recommended.
- Chris (8/5): Nice cozy hotel near to midvalley shopping mall - Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was ok and cozy although was a bit small. But was suffice for a short stay. Midvalley mega shopping mall just cross the street. Very convenient for shoppers.
- Mohamed (4/5): Cleanliness of Room - Room is not nice and not clean and room lights are very dark, and toilet also there is only 1 light
- Richard (8/5): Booking via Expedia - I booked two rooms via Expedia in Singapore. However, upon arrival, I was shocked that only one room was booked but two rooms payments were deducted.
Lucky there was still vacant rooms still available. I will never book thru Expedia again.
Disappointed
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good in general - Friendly staff, comfortable bed, and good wifi. The room is small. The sheets are not changed and cleaned every day. You can hear people talking outside your room at night.
- Gilbert (8/5): Nice Hotel - Its a nice boutique hotel situated on shop houses. Paid for the Amore Room which consists of two design namely the Orion and the Leo. The Orion is on level 2 and Leo we think is on level 3. All none smoking room. Room is approx 200sq foot. Its close to the Mid Valley. If you are coming from Mid Valley KTM Commuter ticket station turn right. Immediately on you right is the escalator going up to Mid Valley Mall. Don't use the escalator but walk straight to the road junction. Be careful while crossing the 30 feet wide expressway. Continue going straight for about 30 meter then go down the stairways until the pathway, turn right. (On your left is a Petron petrol station). On your right is a row of shop houses and a service road. The hotel is a corner unit at the end of the row of shop houses.
- KHOO (8/5): Good - Overall is excellent! Will back again. But, less TV channels to watch and toilet drain not smooth flows.
- Jared (8/5): Orion Design Hotel Experience - Nice room. Good wifi signals. Big washroom. Traffic noise could be reduced if windows have double insulation. Could use with soap and shampoo dispensers instead of small tubes as more green. Bigger table and chair (not stool) that allows working on laptop and files. A digital clock would be good. Price should include breakfast. TV only 8/9 channels.
- lee (6/5): Shoplot boutique hotel near MidValley mall - Booked effortlessly via Expedia, price same as hotel walk-in rate so no savings there. Checkin was swift as desk staff prepares ahead for guests.
Converted from a 3-storey corner shoplot, there is ample natural lighting into the rooms. Contemporary decor but a little cramped, but clean and well-equipped. Individual Aircon unit.
5mins walk from MidValley via an overhead bridge, but facing & right next to Federal Highway proved noisy.
7-11 next door. Crowded bus stop adjacent. 2 budget restaurants few shoplots away. Room electricity activated only via RFID Room card issued.
- Verified traveler (6/5): was good but unhappy - was good but unhappy stay. have to change my room cos other tanent had requested which is the room im staying. force to move out n change to other room again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - Great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): good - only 5 mins. walk to Mid valley station. Staff was nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Comfortable bed and good wifi. Room lights are not suitable for reading. Too dark
- Mary (8/5): - Very convenient shopping in mid valley
Staff very friendly
- Tan (8/5): best small boutique hotel! - hotel is 5mins walk to mid valley mall and ktm station via overhead bridge. The room is very clean and comfy. I love the bathroom very much due to its spaciousness, giant rainshower and nice tub! the staff is very friendly and helpful. I will choose to stay at this hotel again.
- JM (10/5): Comfy Bed, Amazing atmosphere. - I totally enjoy myself in the 4D3N stay when I stayed there. At first, I was worried about my stay, but after I stepped into the hotel lobby, i feel assured. Good choice if you need to access Midvalley shopping centre daily.
- Ming (10/5): 2 days stay. - Very cosy!
- Ming (10/5): Good location! - Good Service!
- Martin C. (8/5): Convenient, clean, comfortable, bit pricey - As I'm not local, I've to depend on GPS to reach this hotel through rarely-use, unfamiliar road, despite this hotel is easily seen from Jalan Syed Putra. The road in front of this hotel is very narrow, was wondering the road is a 1 or 2 way directional lane when I arrived. The hotel is lack of private parking, feel a bit uncomfortable parking by the roadside as there were many people (there's a bus stop and pedestrian bridge nearby) watching us while waiting for public transport. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store beside the hotel to make stay much more convenient. The hotel entrance door is always locked & the hotel staff is always there to unlock the door if you need to come in or leave, so a compliment to its security. Staff is friendly, one staff helped carried my luggage to the room & gave some explanation about facilities usage in the room. I was staying in Libra room, it was quite dark (I can even count total light bulbs installed) but comfy. The rooms named after constellations makes me believe that the design theme must be based on universe space concept blended with realistic modern environment living (hanging decorative balls look like moons, black staircase like walking in outer space, eclipse-like lighting around round bath mirror etc.). Room is very clean & smells good. The bath is divided by a big sliding glass door with curtain available to hide it. Even the power sockets & telephone installed are unique in design. Price a bit premium.
- Bubble (8/5): Great boutique hotel! - I love this boutique hotel which fill with horoscope theme. I get a room which is my horoscope sign (but the staff said is coincidentally). TV channel did impress me, not like others hotel i stayed before, only have some boring channel. The staff is very friendly too. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit to KL.
