Guest Reviews
- Nathaniel (10/5): - Good quality for the price. Shower needed maintenance. Would be good to add a few amenities. But good experience overall
- John (10/5): - The hotel is a great value in an area of much higher priced options. The room is very small but perfect for one person. The shower has great pressure and consistent hot water. Room is cleaned promptly everyday and all the amenities are refilled. I’d definitely stay again!
- Justin (8/5): - I like this property because of the central location. It’s only a few minute walk from the BTS. The rooms are decently small but I think way modern although my room no view. For the price point I think it was pretty darn good. The staff is also pretty helpful.
The best part is definitely location as this neighborhood is very local yet very close to the more touristy areas in Silom as well.
- Ellen (10/5): - Friendly staff and I would highly recommend this hotel😊
- Swee Guan (8/5): - Good
- SAI MYAT (8/5): - i like the place was near bts and have lots of small restaurants.
- SAI MYAT (10/5): - I checked in on April 6 and checked out on April 17. I stayed in a suite room and had a wonderful time celebrating the Songkran Festival in Bangkok.
The room was spacious, filled with natural sunlight, and very comfortable. The hotel’s location is great—just a 5-minute walk from St. Louis BTS station, with many small restaurants nearby.
The laundry service on the ground floor was super convenient, especially for drying wet clothes after enjoying Songkran festivities.
The only downside was the weak Wi-Fi signal.
Overall, I’d rate my stay a solid 9 out of 10!
- Raynold (2/5): - Pictures does not match place
- john (8/5): - Nice clean quiet hotel, within walking distance to night market and excellent street food and bars. Very much enjoyed the stay here, great staff.
- steven (8/5): - Definitely good value, if very slightly tired.
- Brady (10/5): - Located near St. Louis BTS station. Plenty of local food options geared for middle-class Thais. Facility was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in a one bedroom suite for 4 weeks. It was on par with a single bedroom condo in Bangkok but slightly larger.
- Aaron (10/5): Short but great visit - Just a short overnight stay but it was very clean and nice. Excellent water pressure and temperature. Typical firm Thai bed.
- Thomas (10/5): Wonderful stay - The entire staff was amazing. Answered all my question. Very helpful and they kept my luggage while I travel up north. Only 3 minutes walk from the BTS Saint Louis as a bonus there is a restaurant served Roast duck, Roast pork and wonton soup and rice dishes, also an Canteen at Saint Louis hospital only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Definitely will return
- Dat (10/5): - There is a new BTS station, Saint Louis (middle of Chon Nose and Surasak), right at Sathorn soi 11. The Saint Louis BTS connect to AIA Building, use the escalator from AIA building ascending to soi 11, then walk 5 minutes to Marvin hotel (also on soi 11) .
- gyuha (2/5): - .
- raymond (10/5): - Spotless rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee shops galore both sides of hotel. 4 minitrs walking to BTS monorail. So convenient. Will stay again.
- David (6/5): - Good things: (1) Cleaning staff maintain it well and front desk staff are good; (2) Location is good, except not many *cheap* places to eat nearby apart from street hawkers. Walk to Chong Nonsi for more options. (3) Reasonably priced.
Bad things: (1) My room was dated/old. The reception area & facade look modern & new, but my room furniture was old. Needs renovation. (2) My shower (a glass box) was almost impossible to get into because of the terrible design of the door (worst design in the world!). To get into the shower, I had to push the very wide glass door inwards (can't be pulled open outwards), leaving a VERY TINY (and I mean TINY TINY) gap to SQUEEZE past because the soap dish/holder inside the shower blocks the way The door scraped my skin every single time unless I pushed my back flat against the shower wall and watched my nose as the door goes past.... and I'm not even FAT. I don't know why more people don't complain about this (I saw only one other complaint). Maybe only one room (mine!) has this TERRIBLE shower door? (3) No comfortable chair in the room. My queen studio had no sofa or even a comfortable chair---ONLY a computer/office swivel chair that was NOT comfortable. Please provide a padded/soft chair or a simple sofa. Won't cost much money, but customers would appreciate it (only the bigger "suites", judging by the photos, have a sofa). (4) the kettle in my room should be replaced (the lid pops open when the water has boiled).
- Steven (10/5): - The hotel is spotless clean , staff super helpful and very pleasant, easy for all transport, overall very enjoyable stay , reasonable rates , i recommend it
- Evan (10/5): - Very close to the BTS station
- Verified traveler (10/5): Really excellent - Still beautifully maintained after many trips here over the years. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with fantastic rainfall shower and plenty of hot water. Incredibly convenient for the BTS sky train, there are three 7/11 shops within a minute or so. Walkable to Silom. Definitely a good choice.
- Desmond (8/5): Great job! Good hotel! - To be honest, the only gripe I have of this is only its bad location, hotel is kinda hard to find for a start and night activities near the area is quite little.
However, in its defence, the place is relatively safe but can get a little boring as there ain't much to explore unless you are willing to spend more on transport (tuk-tuks/taxis) to go around.
Location is good to get to Siam, MBK, Yaowarat (Chinatown) etc and the best is, they have really good staffs there who are steadfast in their housekeeping.
So far the speediest and cleanest I've seen in BKK.
Keep it up!
- Patrick (10/5): - Great staff - always helpful. Also I happen to like the area.
- Siri (10/5): - Excellent
- Lessonaya (10/5): - Wonderful experience. Will be staying there again when I return to Bangkok
- Koung (6/5): - I do not understand why they asked us to wait to check the room when checking out.
- edwina (8/5): - great location for town
- Edmundo (8/5): - I enjoyed our stay, staff were very helpful. Will definitely recommend and would like to atay here again. Thank you all!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location - The best thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel is comfortable but the pillows are too soft and they do not provide room slippers and body lotion, and some bathroom amenities are also missing. The car park is covered but small and narrow. There are 7-11 (2 stores), CP mart, spa/nail place, cafes and restaurants nearby. There is a cafe next to the lobby that services breakfast but there are better options along the street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): good deal - great value, easy to locate, close to subway.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - To be honest i didn't expect the flat to be like that...the stuff are very friendly and cooperative...i am highly recommend this hotel everybody and sure next time i will be glad to stay in....thanks for great hospitality
- Verified traveler (8/5): It’s a must - It was very beautiful
Good service
Friendly staff
Clean very clean rooms
I enjoyed it
I’m coming back there for sure
- pang (6/5): - The area for the toilet is not acceptable as it is TOO small, especially the glass door design of the showering area.
- CK (4/5): - too far from both BTS station, either Surasak or Chong Nonsi, nothing around hotel, the nearest 7-11 need to walk 10mins, not recommend to any tourist
- Robert (10/5): “MARVIN” is good - Service, room, cleanliness, wii fi , everything superceeded my expectations. The only improvement I think would be helpful is an extra light to illuminate the sign out front or a bigger sign. Albeit I was very tired, but somehow I managed to walk right past the hotel twice my first nite. People in the neighborhood were unbelievably helpful and they went out of their way to walk me to Marvin Suites.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The price was right and very close for my business matters. The staff was very professional and room was very clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was spacious. Bathroom always had a horrible smell.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not recommended for first time travellers to Bangkok or people looking for night life activities. They are better stay in Sukumvit.
- Aiman (10/5): - spacious room , clean n comfortable
walking distance to bts , 7e
- Kruefah (6/5): - It’s clean.
Some front desk staff have not much knowledge about surrounding. They should make an effort to explain what Are facility the hotel have to offer guests.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were there for the Sathorn economical location. 7THB taxis and ossibilities to get to the river and temples by long boats
- Robert (10/5): 👍👍👍👍 - Was. Very good. Great service. Good clean rooms.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Your hotel feel so comfortable to sleep with. Your bathroom is so clean, Your service is great, nice welcome drink also your staff are friendly, the fee is good enough for us and the quality is Excellent. I appreciate you being helpful with us.
- ManYan (8/5): - very clean and tidy.
close to surasak station:)
safe neighbourhood and there re some street food stands nearby. Hotel staff were so nice too!
- marc (8/5): Always good - excellent location - I’ve reviewed the Marvin suites many times over the last few years and I’ll
Give them one thing - they’re consistent. In saying that maybe it’s time to step up the game a bit. Funk up the rooms, turn the front are into a bar area etc. either way they offer value rooms in an excellent location.
- Mikio (8/5): Good location for my own preference - Nearby 7-11 & cafe. Staff is very pleasant . They serve you with drink & carry your luggage.
- Yoana (10/5): Nice place to stay - Spent 2 nights there, nice and quiet place, not far from the sky train, 4 stops to Siam by sky train. A lot little eateries along the street near hotel. Bed and pillows are very comfortable, room and bathroom are very clean. Friendly staff. Really nothing to complain.
- SA (6/5): - Not too convenient, traffic quite bad during peak hours. Not much amenities.
- Frank (8/5): Nice hotel; close to Myanmar embassy - We needed to renew our visa for Myanmar. The embassy is very close (just across Sathorn Rd.) The room was very clean and comfortable, and overall the staff was helpful. There is a Korean restaurant next door, a steak restaurant close by, and an Asian restaurant close by as well. The Robinson shopping center is also within an easy walk down Sathorn Rd.
- Marco (10/5): - Comfortable and clean, nice room and finishes.
Very large safe which was very welcome!
- Debasis (10/5): 4 day stay - When I checked in the first room given to me was a bit noisy as it was right behind reception and pretty much everyone walked passed the room door so the noise was noticable. Once I mentioned this the hotel staff were fantastic and moved me to a fantastic room immediately without question. The room was great, simple but nicely decorated and clean. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful no matter the question. I highly recommend it.
- dennis (2/5): Front Desk Staff integrtiy in question - When I enquired about transportation to airport - I was presented 3 options - 2 Hotel arranged cars at 750 / 550 Baht respectively and the 3rd option was to hail a metered taxi on the road and pay according to the meter.
The reception was quite adamant that I should use the bigger and more expensive hotel car since I had 3 adults and 1 child with 2 luggages, saying that the luggages cannot fit into boot of the car or regular metered taxis.
When I took the 550Baht option, I had the impression that this was a regular saloon car (something like a Toyota Altis). This mentioned car can handle at least 3 luggages (I know, as previously owned 1).
I was surprised when I saw the "hotel car" turned out to be a regular metered taxi, for which I would have grossly overpaid as a hotel car. When I asked to confirm the vehicle and for a receipt, the front desk clerk said that this was their regular contact. She hand-written the receipt with the carbon paper facing the wrong way, effectively, no carbon copy was actually made. What was worst, the taxi driver missed the nearest turn into the airport, despite the road signs to keep left to turn. The taxi driver didn't seem to be familiar with road to the airport. It was another 4 to 5 kilometers before he made a U-turn to the airport.
This left me with the impression that the front desk staff had integrity issues.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent place to stay. - It was excellent. The staff were friendly, clean and great location.
- Chia (8/5): Great stay - Location is slightly far from BTS
Overall is great and the staffs are very friendly too!
- Alauddin (10/5): Everyone can consider to stay whenevr search same - It’s quite place nice hotel with cleanliness, Definitely I will stay again whenever I visit Bangkok.
- brem (8/5): Great hotel in the heart of the business district - Friendly and attentive staff.
Good location, 5-10 minute walk to the BTS
- Troy (10/5): This is my new place to stay in Bangkok! - The place is good value for money. The internet was stable, furnishings nice and worth the money.
- no (6/5): waiting for the time to stay it took four hours. - The room can be
- Anjali Khurana (6/5): Average stay for budget travelers. - The room was fine, the amenities were okay but there was no arrangement for buffet as such. One has to come down and eat at a shared premise of the adjacent hotel in a corner and the breakfast menu doesn't have a good variety. My parents lived in this hotel for two days and they were really unhappy with the breakfast. They thrived on plain bread and butter as they are vegetarians.
- Jarrett (10/5): Quiet, Great location, and Super Clean - This is a quiet spot in a central part of town, but away from all the tourist craziness. Great service and spotless rooms.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Seems perfect for business guests. Also, lots of storage place for your clothes etc.
- Chris (10/5): Convenient and pleasant place to stay. - Awesome place to stay in BKK, hotel is accessible to any transport and near to BTS just a few meters away about 15-20 minutes walk. Restaurant, food stall and sidewalk vendors when your craving and looking for something good food. Staff are very much accommodating. Guarantee a perfect place..
- Dat (10/5): Nice and cheap Hotel in Sathorn area. - If you have to stay in Sathorn area and if you are on the tie budget then this Hotel is for you. Clean and decent price in the middle of Surasak and Chong Nosi BTS, next to Siant Louise Hospital, song thaew in front of hotel can take you to the Central pier or Robinson Mall for7B. Pattong is a one BTS station away, the Central pier also one BTS station away The disadvantage is this hotel do NOT have swimming pool and all the fancy things as five stars hotel but you don't have to pay the five stars hotel price.
- AB (8/5): nice spacious studio - value for money
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - The hotel was good for its location and reasonable price. Walking distance to Sathorn Road. The red bus in front of the hotel can take you straight to the BTS Surasak. Room was clean and has all the essentials.
- Andrea (8/5): Nice hotel close to Bangrak area - Pleasant hotel, quiet area but walking distance to transit & restaurants. No breakfast available. Rooms are small but the bathroom is nice.
- Ignacio (10/5): Amazing place close to the Skytrain - I wish I had discovered this place before. Great bed, powerful shower, huuuuuge room, complimentary water and mini fridge.
I.will definitely come back here
- Verified traveler (4/5): Rather unpleasant. - Got a tiny room while my booking stated a size of 28sqm. WiFi did not work during my whole stay!! Staff seemed to have no interest in improving the situation. Hotel is noisy with quite a distance to BTS. In short: Cheap but still not worth it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is good, close to BTS.
Marvin suites offered everything we were looking for
- theng (10/5): Nice and comfy hotel - The room was nice and comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful
- KM (8/5): Safe and quite location - Overall a good hotel at a very reasonable price.
Only 5-10mins walk to the nearest BTS station.
Hotel advertises free shuttle bus service to nearest BTS. Asked about the service but been told by hotel reception that the service is not always available and cannot be pre-booked. Would be good if Marvin can standardise the pick up time.
- Tzwu Meng (8/5): - Good Location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for budget! - Nice hotel but bit far from town. No swimming pool and less amenities provided. Safe area to stay and overall good.
- canucks (10/5): Great hotel at good price - Good location. Great staff. Affordable rate. Clean room with necessary facilities.
- James (8/5): Generally is fine and budget hotel - Couple of 7-11 & Family Mart within 200 ~ 400m of walking distance.
Is quiet during weekend (CBD area) but could be quiet easily caught into the traffic jam during weekdays.
The good - including friendly staff, clean, quiet, 10 minutes walk to BTS Surasak, free shuttle car to BTS (9am to 5pm), free DVD rental.
The bad - I was given a smaller room, free shuttle car does not operate on Sunday.
- Rosanna (10/5): - Staff are very nice.
- Joanna (8/5): Nice clean hotel but not in a good location - Room was clean, bathrooms were clean and shower pressure was good. Hot and cold water available during shower. Didn't look dodgy at all from the outside and inside was clean as well.
The only downside is that they didn't have a dressing mirror inside the room so we had to make do with the one in the bathroom. Which made it difficult cause we couldn't dress up while someone else is in the shower.
The dvd plater in the room was faulty and when we asked the staff to check, he checked but didn't manage to solve the problem. We suggested that since its faulty, he could take a dvd player from another room. He said all the rooms are fully booked. We believe he lied about this cause we really didn't see many people at this hotel.
The location is not quite good. We had to walk 10 mins to the bts station to take the sky train.
Everything else was okay and the rooms are clean.
- Arup (10/5): - Comfortable , Clean , Professional
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap and clean - It was a good stay. Only downside is the distance to BTS station, Surasak. Took about 15 minutes to walk back to Marvin Suite. There's a shuttle service to the station though it's not always available.
- g (10/5): City centre hotel - Very quiet for the busy location- room was small but everything was clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): The best. - Excellent small hotel in the heart of Bangkok. I have stayed here before and will stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient and Clean hotel - Good location. 15 mins from Soi 4 and Night market. Great bed. Clean room and safe area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): December 16 - Clean comfortable and good location
- joe (8/5): Very good place for a short stay in Banghok - Quiet well located, near an MTS station , room is confortable, good size and clean. The staff is really kind, helpful and dedicated. And the price is really good. I recommend.
- Dominic Simon (8/5): A great find! - Conveniently located in the area of Sathorn, Marvin Suites has reasonably priced serviced apartments in an up and coming area of Bangkok.
The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the suites are a ten minute walk from two BTS stations. It is highly recommended. Comfy beds, clean rooms and great showers.
- Jeff (10/5): Great Service & Clean Hotel - Everything was very Clean & the Staff was very Helpful.
- sunil (8/5): Comfortable, good location - Pleasant short stay, courteous and efficient service. They allowed early check in and late check out, which suited my travel plans - thank you.
- Aditya (10/5): much better than anticipated! - amazing friendly staff and good clean hotel in a convenient hotel
- Philippe (10/5): Very good value for money - Very clean and convenient, very helpful staff, good street food nearby, and above all excellent value for money. I recommend this property.
- Russell (10/5): very helpful - Great customer service.
- Chaw Su (10/5): Very Nice to stay there.. - I love that hotel very much. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is super clean.
- Rosemarie (8/5): convenient and clean hotel but noise can be heard - the room was clean, service was good. only thing was you can hear the next room, doors closing, vehicles outside. Those made it difficult for us to sleep comfortably.
- Rudolf (8/5): Great Value - Front desk staff were expecting me and understood the unique situation regarding my reservation. Checking in went smoothly without me having to give too much explanation because of a missed flight connection. At checkout, I was assisted in getting a cab along with the address of my destination in Thai.
- Saeed (8/5): Good Hotel - this is my first time to sty in this hotel, I found it very clean with friendly staff and good service
- ROSS (8/5): STAFF - Rooms not large but comfortable Staff friendly and spoke good English overall a pleasant place to stay
- RL (8/5): - Very basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, body wash. Toothbrush is chargeable. Check in took a little time, c/out was quick.
- Marc (10/5): Great value for money - Having stayed at the Marvin Suites, and reviewed it so many times, there's really not that much more to add. The hotel is consistently good. They maintain the same staff who thankfully understand the importance of good customer service. It is a great hotel located close to Silom and the Chong Nonsi BTS. The rooms are well appointed and have all the required amenities. You really won't find better value for money in the same area.
- Ron (10/5): A Great Hotel To Stay At While In Bangkok - I have stayed at the Marvin Suites many times over the past 5 or 6 years. Every time has been great. The location is good. It is in the same neighborhood as the Vatican Embassy, the Embassy of Myramar and St. Louis Hospital. I have walked back from the BTS Station at all hours of the eveing including 1 and 2 am and have never felt uncomfortable. It's about a 10 minute walk from 2 BTS stations. The employees are always very helpful in anything I need and very gracious. The rooms are always clean with a small refrigerator, DVD player and safe. The bathrooms are small be quite nice with a rainshower shower. I would not hesitate staying there on future visits.
- Athar (2/5): Bad Service! - Lift was out of order when checked-in, nearly falling on the floor due to some spill by a guest and tuk tuk was not provided although multiple requests were made. I will never stay there again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice - Its a nice hotel, bit expensive at 1200 baht if you pay there. Nice rooms with fridge, free water, kettle, coffee, and safe large enough to keep your tablet in. Only downer is the English TV.. Only a few channels, mostly news, only one movie channel and the picture is not very good.
- Mrjiga (10/5): TOP HOTEL,,,,,A++++ - Great hotel and great staff. They help in every way. "Mark" one of the staff member was fantastic and a great asset to the company.
