Guest Reviews
- Aleksandra (10/5): - Wszystko było doskonałe. Fantastyczne widoki, czystość, udogodnienia, personel dbający o komfort. Rewelacyjne śniadania i kolacje. Informacyjnie: Warto dla dzieci zabrać szlafroki. Taksówka na lotnisko 50 €, do starego miasta do 25 €.
- Ruth (9/5): Wonderful mini-break - Sea view from suite, breakfast, location, spa, easy access to sea-swiming and nice mix of swimming pools Some maintenance issues in room, e.g
damage inside wardrobe and some loose fixtures in bathroom
- Tabarek Jamal Abdulsattar (10/5): - We had a really great time at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location right by the sea, and the views are just amazing to wake up to. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The hotel facilities were excellent and very well maintained. We enjoyed using the pools and gym, all of which felt clean, comfortable, and easy to access.
What really made our experience special was the friendly and professional service throughout our stay. A special thank you to Leona, who was incredibly helpful, attentive, welcoming, and always made sure we had everything we needed. Nothing

- Urszula (9/5): Udany wypoczynek w malowniczym Dubrowniku.
- Maroussia (10/5): Excellent place to stay either for vacation or for business trip. Exceptional comfort, fantastic views on sea, beautifu - Beautiful, comfortable, spacious rooms with fabulous view. Ideal staff! Absolutely amazing experience! Absolutely nothing
- Katarzyna (10/5): Chętnie wrócę tam jeszcze raz! - Piękna i bardzo dogodna komunikacyjnie lokalizacja.
- Erik (9/5): Uitstekend - Ruimte in kamer en luxe

Obfite i różnorodne śniadanie. Codzienne dyskretne sprzątanie i wymiana ręczników, wysokiej klasy pościel, ręczniki, szlafroki, kosmetyki.
- Ivo (7/5): - Location Parking, restaurant and prices

Osoblje ljubazno i učtivo. Terasa je mogla da ima veću dubinu.

- Mary (10/5): I had an amazing holiday. I would return in a heartbeat. - This hotel was in the most beautiful location. It was close to the bus station. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The outside pool was not being used and looked unsightly. Some of the paint work in our apartment was needing redone. There was a picture missing of the wall.
- arnaugir (5/5): Location, staff and pools OK ; rooms and premises NOT OK - Location in Lapad is convenient (if you realise before hand where you will be located, because you need taxi, car or take a crowded bus to go there). The hotel premises are quite ok, a good number of pools, nice sights! and breakfast is above average. Staff was very kind. One would expect much more for this kind of hotel. Room was huge, but cleanliness not (we found another customers underpants under the bed!!), the sofa was very old and worn, same goes for the furniture... and I could go on. Sorry, but hotel wasn't up to the standards we were expecting.

- Emma (10/5): Beautiful - Beautiful location. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Great spa facilities. Varied breakfast including champagne and iced coffee on request. Nothing. The hotel was exceptional and the staff were brilliant.
It was quite a pricey area of Dubrovnik but to be expected. Worth a quick trip to the local supermarket (a kilometer away) to stock up on waters etc.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Akshay (10/5): Perfect start - Excellent gym, pool with sauna steam room and cold water therapy. The king suite was luxurious. The view was outstanding.

- Sara (9/5): Fabulous, relaxing few days in a stunning part of the world! - Beautiful hotel in a stunning location with exceptional views of the Adriatic. Very comfortable room, good breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. Great location, with a variety of restaurant options along the promenade. Close to the Old Town of Dubrovnik by car / taxi / bus. Nothing!
- Stella Ana (10/5): -
- Fowler (10/5): Fantastic - Absolutely fabulous hotel, location, room, view, food, staff Not everything open but we understood it was due to timing and there was so much it didnt matter
- Carla (10/5): We will definitely be back! - We were very happy with all aspects of the hotel. Nothing
- Paola (10/5): -
- kaja1313 (10/5): A vacation we will never forget! - Our stay at the Royal Princess was truly special , the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The staff were exceptional- warm, attentive, and kind in a way that felt real, not rehearsed. Every interaction made us feel cared for and at home, and that alone made the experience unforgettable.
The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and elegant. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, with breathtaking views that reminded us daily how lucky we were to be there.
The location was perfect. Being so close to the Old Town made exploring easy and exciting, while returning to the calm and quiet of the hotel afterward felt like the best balance.
Royal Princess wasn’t just a place we stayed — it was part of the magic of our trip. We left feeling grateful, relaxed, and already dreaming of when we can go back!
- Sinisa (10/5): , Hôtel, ville Doubrovik excellent - Magnifique Tu es souper
- Anders (9/5): -
- Bernard (10/5): A great visit - A beautiful location with a gorgeous view; plentiful and diverse breakfast; cheerful and helpful staff; easy bus ride to old town
- Brett & Toni (5/5): Suitable only for a very specific demographic. - The suite was fine - not outstanding, but nothing to really criticise. What we did not realise was that this hotel was just one in a resort complex along the coastline, making guests a captive audience. The complex includes several (very expensive) restaurants, but they all have pretty much the same menu of very ordinary offerings and unfortunately you're stuck with it. If you're looking for a hotel to drop and do nothing, and you're not fussed about your food, this may be okay. We were not that demographic, so the hotel did not really meet our requirements.
- aleenasc (10/5): Jaw dropping views - The view from the lobby was incredible. Our jaws dropped as our cab pulled into the driveway just in time for sunset. The hotel is also attached to a nice rocky beach where we had a nice stroll to admire the sea view.

- Bernard (9/5): Gorgeous hotel surrounded by other gorgeous hotels and a delightful promenade along the beach - Beautiful sea views; very good breakfast with huge number of options; great restaurants in easy walking distance. Frequent inexpensive bus service into the old town; heated pool. We booked a suite and thought the extra space was mostly worth the extra cost but next time we might try one of the neighboring non-suite hotels that are slightly less expensive but in the same chain so that they all have access to the same facilities!
- travelswithdog123 (10/5): Fantastic hotel - The hotel was better than expected. We had a huge room which consisted of a bedroom / lounge and two bathrooms . The outside areas were lovely with lots of choices of swimming pools , or sitting in the rocks by the sea . We didn’t eat at the hotel except for breakfast which was exceptional and with stunning views . We went in to the walled city at night which was very easy to reach from a bus a few minutes walk away . Overall I would definitely stay here again . We had a lovely holiday .
Bez osjecaja.
- annlU8402ZQ (6/5): Don’t book half board - Hotel is lovely. Pool areas are clean and beds are comfy.
Rooms are big we had a Executive suite on top floor and views are great. Sunset view from balconies amazing.
Pool and gym area are good too.
Breakfast was good and always able to get a table whenever we wanted.
We had opened for half board this was where we ran into trouble. Several visits to the restaurant we were told no table and given no guidance on when to return for a table or to wait for one. We tried at various times from 6.30 through till 8.30 pm. When we did get a table we didn’t manage to get served drinks on two nights as waiting staff stretched so thin. This wasn’t something that only we encountered. It was the only issue we had that the hotel wouldn’t rectify.
We basically paid for food we couldn’t use unless we ate at 2100 or outside. Maybe tha could be clearer before booking half board.
- Manfred (10/5): Perfect very clean hotel to relax. We will come again. - Hotel room had a very good size, perfect sea view, 2 very clean bathrooms, super rich & perfect breakfast, direct next to the sea.
Very quiet area with no cars etc., you hear thx waves from the sea always. We enjoyed that really.
Very good Italian restaurant named Bono was close by. It’s 20 min. with the bus away from old town. Therefore we didn’t explore the old town by night as it was to far away.
- Debbie (7/5): Relaxing stay in a good location to explore Dubrovnik - Clean, well located, restaurant food quality Buffet was average - quality, atmosphere and options. Breakfast was carnage - selection was poor and service was severely lacking
- Shu (10/5): -
- AnnaBeker (6/5): Beautiful view but outdated rooms - We stayed at the Royal Princess Hotel for two nights in October.
The view from our room was absolutely stunning — the sea and sunsets were incredible. However, the room itself felt quite old, with furniture that hasn’t been updated for many years. The sofa even had visible holes, which is disappointing for a five-star hotel.
The pools at the Royal Princess were cold, so swimming there wasn’t really enjoyable.
However, we could use the facilities at all hotels within the Royal Resort complex, and the Royal Blue Hotel had a lovely heated outdoor pool and a warm indoor spa pool — that was a big plus.
Dinner quality was inconsistent: the first night’s meal was dry and tasteless, while the second evening’s grill night was completely different — delicious food, fresh seafood, and a great atmosphere.
The spa area was excellent — very clean and relaxing, with a good steam room, sauna, and a small tea and water corner to unwind.
Staff were polite and helpful, but the hotel overall needs renovation and better food consistency.
Prices are quite high — both for rooms and restaurants — but if you take a walk along the beautiful coastal path, you’ll reach a small seaside town where the prices are much more reasonable and food is excellent.
There are many hotels in this area with equally beautiful sea views, so it’s worth choosing one of the more affordable Royal properties and simply enjoying dinner elsewhere — you’ll likely have the same experience for a much better price.
- eurita4 (8/5): Average stay - Our rooms were beautiful, most of the staff were friendly. In particular there was a lady at breakfast most mornings who was borderline rude.
We had booked half board and the buffet meals in the evenings were average at best. Italian night seemed to have the best options otherwise the other nights the food was poor to average. I would recommend walking to the restaurants near the hotel for something different. The heated pool was never heated for the entire 5nights we stayed at the hotel so we were unable to use it despite asking and being told it was being fixed or that it would warm up. Over all it didn’t feel like a 5star stay more 4star. Slight improvements needed all round
- Anna (10/5): -
- Anna (6/5): Definitely not a 5star hotel - Sauna and spa was lovely, except the water in the pool was quite cold, you wouldn’t go to swim with your kids in this cold indoor pool. Breakfast was really good! Bed quite big and comfortable. Spectacular view from the window and a walk along the sea is magnificent. If You go more towards the centre then you can find cheaper restaurants and grocery shops. 5-star hotels are expected to maintain a high level of quality, including furniture that is in excellent condition. Our sofa in the room had holes in it, all furniture is dated, looks like pictures were done in 90s (with quite a bad taste) carpets wasn’t quite clean when walking. It was quite unpleasant.
Our beach didn’t have any sunbeds like on pictures, I guess the season is over.
We had a dinner as well, on Saturday the food was absolutely horrible (tasteless, dry, very bad choice of everything) and on Sunday it was opposite ( it was some kind of a bbq night and food was really good, grilled shrimps and meat and it was delicious).
Swimming pool was very cold, we were using the one at Royal blue hotel.
- JanneL512 (10/5): Lovely place - Absolutely lovely place. Great pools, clean rooms and beautiful gardens❤️ We enjoy this hotel. Dubrovnik is also very beautiful old city.
Bra mat i hotellets restaurang
- Radhikumari (9/5): Enjoyed our stay but the kitchen facilities are a complete zero. - Breakfast was excellent. Room was so clean. The sea facing room was amazing and picturesque. Kitchen had an electric hob but no utensils are provided. After requesting for some utensils, only two small pans were provided. There were no cutleries or any knife. Very disappointed with this.

- Marina (10/5): The best hotel in Dubrovnik - It’s my 4th year in a row of visiting this Hotel, what can I say, one of the best to come and enjoy in everything that offers!!!
- cornwall1950 (6/5): Don't forget to set your alarms!!! - Had week here end of September. On the plus side: room always cleaned perfectly. Very spacious, lovely toiletries. Balcony well furnished with chairs, table and sunbeds.
Not sure that the hotel is worthy of 5 stars though as we have stayed in better 4 star places.
Breakfast - mediocre. Orange juice tasted like reconstituted not freshly squeezed, also think juice containers should be covered as lots of little flies around them (and in them). Although some fresh fruit out on counter there was a lot of tinned fruit every day. Not such a huge choice of breads or cakes as we have been offered elsewhere. Did not understand why the egg cooking station was outside on the terrace when all the other ingredients (bacon, beans, sausages etc) were inside. Did not have dinner at any of the 'Royal' group - had planned to have dinner at one of their hotels but restaurant was closed that evening and did not bother returning on other evenings. (Wish they had put a notice outside during the day to inform passersby that closed that evening).
Like others I did not find reception staff very informative but they were not rude to me. However, DO NOT rely on them for an early morning call!! We requested a call at 6.15am as we had an early pick up for airport - luckily we had also set the alarms on our phones as the requested call never happened. Very poor really.
To finish on positive note - the stars of the hotel staff for me were :
the lady cooking eggs every day - brilliant
the housekeeping staff who cleaned our room - great
the staff on the rocks who put out the sunbeds, umbrellas and tables - very helpful and willing to assist. Thank you all.
- Susanne Lukas (8/5): - Lage wunderschön direkt am Meer. Frühstück mit Meerblick.
Frühstück selber auch gut, frisches Obst, Eierstation... Es war ein Appartement mit 2 Kochplatten. Aber keinerlei Geschirr oder Töpfe....
Sauna uns Fitnessbereich dienten wohl nur dem 5. Stern.
- Darren (10/5): - Overall a wonderful experience, a very beautiful place to visit and stay
- Pertti (9/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Comfortable, responsive to needs, great facilities, beautiful scenery. Taxis to old town are expensive
- Arti (6/5): - This hotel is not a 5star for sure.
The Good- outside of the property is very nice with great views of the Adriatic ocean. Some nice waterfront restaurants nearby. And 10-15 uber drive to Old town. Breakfast buffet was great with good variety and options. There is not actual beach with the hotel but there is one 10mins walk. We did not enjoy the Zoe bar and relaxed by the cliff rocks. The pizza place was really good. And the neptune restaurant was great. Go to Cave Bar more abt 10mins walk from the hotel.
The Bad- the rooms and inside of the hotel needs major upgrades. Though our room was clean and huge with great views but it needed major updates. Housekeeping did not do a good job cleaning the rooms. We had dinner buffet included with our booking and the dinner options were not great and very limited. 2nd nite we saw the same shrimp from previous nite in the warmer. We decided to skip dinner buffet and go elsewhere to eat. Staff were not very attentive. It was hit or miss on staff. Some were friendlier than others.
- stephen (10/5): - Lovely hotel . Great location loved the boardwalk to various restaurants. Lots of facilities and room was lovely Not much but pools could have been a bit warmer

- SZAM2019 (2/5): Rude Receptionist and Disappointing stay - This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we checked in, the receptionist was shockingly rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. Despite emailing in advance for a higher-floor room, she flatly told us only a ground-floor room was available, with no apology or polite explanation. When we asked for water, she told us to “drink from the tap” — unbelievable for a so-called 5-star hotel.
The ground-floor room we were forced to stay in for the first night was dark, gloomy, and felt neglected. Outdated furniture, broken lights, a dirty shower curtain, water leaking everywhere, and no basic amenities like bottled water. It was uncomfortable and far below even a budget hotel standard.
To make matters worse, when we asked the receptionist for information about excursions, nearby places to visit, or transport, she simply told us to “check the website.” This lack of hospitality and unwillingness to assist made us feel completely unwelcome.
Throughout our stay, housekeeping was equally disappointing. The cleaners never changed the bed linens or properly cleaned the room — they only replaced the towels. Again, this is completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 5-star.
Only after insisting were we moved the next day to a room that actually reflected what we had paid for. This clearly showed that the first room should never have been given to paying guests.
For the price and reputation, we expected professionalism, hospitality, and comfort. Instead, we were met with rudeness, indifference, and a night in a room that wasn’t even fit for guests. No apology, no compensation — nothing. Truly unacceptable, and we will not return and won’t recommend.
- David (8/5): An excellent hotel to choose with some great facilities; rather way from the city centre. - Staff were very professional and very friendly - cannot praise them enough! The different restaurants available were also a real asset, especially Zoe which we loved. front desk always helpful. Hotel of this size could have provided its own shuttle to and from the city and to and from the airport. Some of the furnishings in the room were showing a little 'tired' (for example, the bedhead was worn).
- Gary (4/5): - Didnt get the room we requested. Only booked for 1 night. Booked a jr suite with an ocean view. Instead we got a large room with a kitchen on the ground floor facing the street. Staff was unwilling to find an alternative room option.

- Daniela Cristina (10/5): Vacanta regala - Mi-a placut totul. A fost un sejur de poveste! O vacanta ca in filme! Seri tematice perfecte! Piscinele - super! Marea curata. Destul de adanca intrarea in mare, insa este safe. Sezlonguri si umbrele suficiente. Prosoape de plaja curate si bine intretinute! Limonada pe plaja- super! Verdeata multa in jur!
- Kirk (8/5): - Amazing views and a nice change from crowed old town. Very walkable promenade to sunset beach area featuring restaurants, cafes, etc. I would stay here again. Property could use a bit of touch up, thus 4 star (stained carpet, furniture, etc - nothing major but certainly not 5 star). Staff/ service was very good.
- 486mladenh (10/5): The hotel and amenities were superb and all that you could ever desire was within the resort. Highly recommended - Could not have asked for a better experience, from the pools, room and restaurants on site. A superb experience with all amenities within the resort being excellent
- tenderah2016 (10/5): Excellent hotel - We spent five nights at this wonderful hotel. Every detail was absolutely first class, from the friendliness of all the staff to the appearance and upkeep of the property.
We had an amazing view from our balcony, and the room was very spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was buffet style, with a large and varied choice, all very delicious.
There is a reasonably large swimming pool, which we took advantage of due to the lovely hot weather!
There is a promenade that runs along the hotel which takes you to numerous restaurants and cafes, which offer a variety of food.
A five minute walk away is the local bus stop, which is a fifteen minute ride into Dubrovnik.
All in all a great hotel and location.
- Emmet (10/5): - Nice but dated property. Staff friends, helpful and professional. Nice breakfast. Dinner was good too. Room was very spacious and quiet. Nothing in the immediate area that you can easily walk to. Uber or Bolt to old town is easy and not expensive
- B2347EHjeffreyc (6/5): Shame, could be amazing - Firstly the good, location, views and our suite all first class
Unfortunately the rest of the experience didn’t live up, food average at best, few highlights but not many, breakfast, poor quality and totally disorganised. The overall service isn’t good on the whole, from the bar to reception, all friendly enough just not well trained imo, stinks of weak management.
A few tweaks needed to bring up to its 5 star billing, the food, service and little extra touches, coffee and creamer together in a sachet in the room, it’s not the 90s.
- Vicky (10/5): Fabulous - Loved location outside but close to the old town. All staff were so helpful and polite at all times. Nothing

- I73TQlucyo (10/5): Best vacation ever! - This property is amazing…. We loved it!
We arrived at the hotel a few hours before check in- the front desk was so friendly. They were able to have our room ready earlier then expected.
We stayed at the Royal Palm luxury suite. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very spacious and clean. Toiletry products are top of the line.. I would rate the room 5 stars
The property it self is very grand. The complementary breakfast was impressive. There was a chef who will make your eggs however you chose on the spot.. for lunch and dinner, they have a few restaurants to choose from. Every meal we had was delicious. I would rate the food 5 stars. And… Prices are reasonable.
The beach area was our favourite part of our trip.. beach chairs and umbrellas are free of charge.. they also have a beach bar as well.. you can order drinks and food and they bring it right to you! Customer service was 5 star as well.
Overall I would rate our stay at the Royal Palm A++. And will definitely book again next year..

- 867grahamw (10/5): Great place to stay to visit Dubrovnik - We stayed 3 nights in a very comfortable suite in this well presented resort hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast buffet selection which we ate on the terrace overlooking the bay each morning. The promenade walkway below the hotel leads to Lapad beach which has a number of bars and restaurants and is a great location to catch a fantastic sunset view. The number 6 bus starts its route a few hundred metres from the hotel and ends right outside Pile gate making this an ideal location for visiting the old town (which is a must regardless of the huge numbers of tourists).
We would stay here again if we return to Dubrovnik.
