You can really feel when someone cares, and she went out of her way to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. - 999loisk (4/5): Five-Star Hotel, One-Star Service at Breakfast - The hotel staff overall were very kind, and the location is excellent. It’s close to the night market, which made our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the mall facilities due to the Chinese holiday, which was disappointing — but that was understandable. However, the female staff member at the breakfast restaurant was extremely disappointing. Her tone of voice, eye contact, and overall attitude were absolutely not up to five-star standards. It was honestly shocking. Her service mindset was unprofessional and unpleasant. What made it worse was that while I was speaking in English, she suddenly switched to Chinese and said, “I am Chinese.” I am Korean. Why would she do that? What was the point? If I am clearly speaking English, why suddenly respond in Chinese? Assuming my nationality based on my appearance and speaking to me in Chinese is inappropriate and unacceptable. It felt ignorant and uncomfortable. I do want to thank the manager who later apologized sincerely — that was appreciated. However, it seems clear that staff training is needed. A hotel of this level should not have employees displaying such behavior. Very disappointing experience.

Already changed room once, still gave me the same type of noisy room . If your hotel is just noisy please do something about it..stop pretending its ok when client cannot sleep at night and just have stupid excuse saying the rooms are full. Its a fact your room on floor 12 tower 1 or tower two room 1201 or 1235 is noisy at night! Stop cheating customers for their money! And your windows are dirty !

Sanjeev is one of the most diligent and efficient hotel managers I’ve encountered when I make my frequent trips to JB. - Love_Life_Sydney (6/5): Close to shopping and dining - The hotel is notably large in scale, often with substantial groups congregating in the lobby area. Despite the high volume of guests, there is no dedicated seating available in the lobby itself. However, there is a Starbucks café in the lobby, which offers a limited number of seats for guests wishing to relax or enjoy a coffee. The hotel lobby provides direct access to an adjoining shopping mall, adding to the convenience for those looking to shop or explore nearby amenities. The guest room was spacious and included practical amenities such as a bar fridge, an ironing board, and a room safe. However, there were clear signs of wear and tear throughout the room, which detracted from the overall impression. During a particularly heavy thunderstorm, there was a leak from part of the windows, and it was apparent that the exterior windows required a thorough cleaning, as visibility outside was significantly impaired. Television options were limited, with channels restricted mainly to local programming. The swimming pool is situated on the seventh floor, which is also where conferences and seminars are held. This arrangement made it somewhat uncomfortable to navigate through groups of seminar attendees while wearing swimwear. Additionally, there were no towels provided at the pool, and the pool itself is approximately 1.2 metres deep. Local knowledge among staff appeared to be minimal. For instance, one receptionist needed to look up the hotel’s own street name, and another was unable to provide directions to a street located just around the corner. On Monday nights, an outstanding street market takes place directly in front of the hotel, providing guests with a vibrant local experience. There are also numerous eateries located on the street behind the hotel, offering a variety of dining options. When the shopping complex is open, guests can access the back of the hotel by descending one level and navigating towards the rear exit. Notable landmarks, such as You Kee Xo and Uncle Five, serve as useful reference points for finding the back exit.

Stayed in room 1009 from 27 to 28 sep . Reception staff need to be more friendly and attentive. Staff is talking among themselves. No assistance was directed for luggage assistance. Was not told room will be ready at 3pm , until I asked . This is not the first time , service at reception is bad . No managerial supervision at all .

Flushing cistern also unable to fully flush away waste due to low pressure. Shower floors were badly stained and appeared dirty. Missing picture on the wall, only left with a screw on the wall. The button for “Room cleaning services” was broken and not working. Remote control with missing battery cover. Sagging and unsupportive mattresses, like being tortured every night. Wake up more tired than before. Back pain throughout our stay. Refrigerator was not working when we checked in. Aircon not cold and very little wind coming out from the ducts. Every instant feels like being in a sauna. Requested for maintenance but not much better. Worst still was the strong smell of smoke after repair. Wifi was available at this hotel but speed was so slow that we had to rely on mobile data most of the time. The cleaning staffs restocked only 2 sets of towels and toiletries though we paid for 3 adults via Expedia. Same thing after feedback to front desk. There is also no sitting area in the lobby apart from paying customer at Starbucks. The only good take away for our stay was that the hotel is directly linked to the mall making it very convenient. Surrounding the hotel are abundant of restaurants, spa, old school coffeeshops, etc. Our room was 1315 in tower 1.

- Adeline (4/5): dirty bedsheet - bedsheet was stain with blood so didn’t check during check in so after come back at night spotted it so can only request them to change the bedsheet think they don’t change a clean one as the replacement also got spot . might be the dirtiness of the bedsheet set cause my face to have bad break out . indeed they might want to save on washing the dirty bedsheet , they should also check instead of taking another room sleep bed sheet n place it into another room . hotel is not cheap so i dont see why they can’t offer clean bedsheet for customer who stay 3 days 2 night . I hope to see a clean room if i visit again in the near future
- Yoon Hee (2/5): - I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel. On the last day of my stay, around 6:00 AM, a stranger entered my room without permission. I was shocked and asked who he was, but he just stared at me for a few seconds and left without saying anything. I immediately called the reception and reported the incident. The hotel staff promised to investigate and said they would email me within a week, but I never received any follow-up or explanation. Both the security and the customer service were extremely disappointing. A hotel that cannot ensure basic safety is unacceptable, and I would not stay here again.

- Martin (4/5): Bad experience - Bad experience. As a regular, I am utterly disappointed this time. During the first night. At 2+am. I heard loud noise coming from above floor and it last for 2 hours. It sounds like some work is carry out. So we get to sleep only near dawn. Was trying to use the house phone to call customer service but both phone is not working. The bar fridge is also not cold at all. Next day went to customer service to feedback on this, and he promise to send tech to verify. But when we are back, nothing has been done. I request for high floor as I wanna admire at the scenery but I can’t. The window is full of thick dust. When look thru the window, it seems like going to rain but actually is sunny day. Cus the dust is so thick that it blur up the vision. The air con control panel display is so dim it can hardly be seen. Hope the management can look into this matter and do some thing about it.

- TravellerPorirua (10/5): Pleasant Stay - We stayed at this facility for 3 nights and it gace us a memorable experience. The room (17 - 03) was large with a King size bed and the amenities were great. Agustina at Reception checked us in early . Being situated in a large shopping Mall, it was ideal for us to choose where we should dine. Lotus supermarket there had everything you need for a fair price. At the Back area of the Mall, we found delicious Durian, jack fruits, mangoes, mangosteens and guavas which we enjoyed very much, eating at the stalls itself. There are many Massage places there in this Mall offering varieties of massages. Look around for best prices. Buffet Breakfast was absolutely enjoyable with a great spread of food and fruits. The staff even helped us with getting Grab taxis to do other sight seeing. On Monday afternoon, there is a Flea Market right in front of the Hotel and had all sorts of wares ,fruit and food stalls.Lunch at D'Shangai on Level 2 (Near to the Movie theatre ) was very good. Will visit and stay again next time.

She is amazing with her product knowledge. Infact all the team there and our friendly receptionist lady, she looks mixed parentage, pretty and ever so polite. Sadly this Lawa Lawa Spa will close on 14th September, and my heart breaks. I just discovered them in KSL and heard the news. Me and mum chosen the 3 hour Female Perkasa package. Kudos to all the team. I will be back 1 final time before you close. Loads of ❤️

- Elisechow (6/5): Terrible Tower 1 (do not stay there) & 5 star at Tower 2 (choose to stay there) - I have stayed at Tower 2 in the first week of July 2025 and it was a 5 star experience, no sounds, no knocking , no renovations, no drillings. However, i stayed at KSL hotel again at Tower 1 just a few days ago (about mid July 2025) and it was super 5 star Horrible! The staff made drilling and renovations at 1130pm to 12 midnight, how do you expect the guests to sleep! There's no soap, not even basic amenities, the telephone at the room is just a decorative item, and it is not useable at all! Furthermore, there was water leftover at the hot water flask which the cleaning auntie did not throw, so we dare not use it. It is 5 star at Tower 2, but minus 5 star at Tower 1!!! Really incredible that the same hotel can have such a huge service disparity, KSL Hotel MANAGMENT, please buck up and make sure the 2 towers have the same good service please.

- Malcolm505 (4/5): Think Twice Before Booking - Let's start by saying i booked a room 10 months in advance for 3 nights and i had 3 requests. 1. May I have a quite room. So they put me in a room next to the staff working station and supply room, so very noisy banging and dragging things on the floor all day from before 7:00 am until well into the late evening. 2. May I have a high floor with a nice view. So they gave us floor 18 out of 27 with a view of the other tower. And for the view all you could see is the disgusting state of the grime on the windows. 3. Can you waiver the fee of 20RM for each guest to visit the dinosaur theme park. To which was a no and I can tell you it is nothing special it has about 5 dinosaurs it it that need repair and all the signs about different dinosaurs have faded and you can't read it. Why are they charging extra to use the pool? Now the rooms are a good size nothing special but the showers are ridiculous you have a shower the whole bathroom gets flooded because there is a 10mm gap between the screen and the bottom which the water just flows onto the floor and soaking it. It is very outdated and needs repair the carpet in the hall ways are like patchwork quilts. If you do stay here we found the Century Food Court pretty good and a word of advise if you follow Google Maps it says to go a direction that is 950 meters away just go out the lobby entrance go down the road at the T intersection turn right and you will find it on the left hand side total of about 400 mts in total.

- Andrew (2/5): Dangerous and unsafe.. - A very poorly maintained hotel!! We were trapped in the lift for half hour. The lift dropped by 2 feet the moment we stepped into the lift with the lift doors open. Suddenly; the outer lift door slammed shut. The internal door was not closed and the lift started dropping down slowly with the doors open!!! After that the lift went up to the top floor and came down again, jerking violently intermittently. I really thought the lift was going to plunge!! It was the most frightening experience I ever had. After 30 mins, the technician let us out at the basement floor - supposed to be an emergency rescue exit! However, the basement exit was filled with construction items, and in pitch darkness. It was so terribly unsafe..

- 594germaineh (2/5): Horrible Service - Bath tub leak, tried to call the hotel but wasn’t told that all the phones were under maintenance, had to head down to the hotel front desk and the service staff, old blonde hair lady working on night shift 16 May 2025, was rude saying i should have called their hotel whatsapp ( Charges will apply when i call since im not Malaysian) and tried to dismiss the problem. She said she will call the maintenance to check and which they did after one whole hour, (mind you it is late and night and i want to shower and sleep) a lot of back and forth with the crew calling more ppl into our room at the late night and the resolution is that i just take a shower with the leak bath tub and the cleanup crew will come at 11pm to clean up the water. THEY DID NOT SHOW UP AT ALL. Book this hotel at your own risk and expect the worst service ⚠️
