The loft on the top floor was really hot, but there was a heat wave in Paris that week, so not sure there was much more the hotel could do. They did provide a fan and extension cord to help cool that area.

The room was clean and keys were easy to access with good communication ahead of time from the reception. as expected the room was likely smaller than advertised for family of three, beds were close to each other, small bathroom etc.

Bumped my head at least 3 times on various sections of the room, once while standing up on the bed. High floor room provided despite giving advance notice that we were traveling with kids. Loud noises from street coming in. Instructions for cleaning the room - I didn't book at air BNB. Staff was excellent, but maybe next time I'll just stay at a chain.

Our room was on the 4th level upstairs, but the staff helped with our bags and the exercise was very much needed after the amazing breakfast at the hotel. We could not fault the hotel or the staff! Location of the Hotel is perfect, most of the places of interest are around 15 to 40 min walking distance, what is very convenient with kids. Tuileries gardens 5 min walking distance, good for kids, with playground, trampoline jumping and nice walk to see interesting sculptures. There is a sewage smell in the bathroom

We didn't realise that the accommodation was not in the hotel but in an annex across the street and no elevator to the upper floors which involved a climb up 60 plus stairs with our luggage. Quite a challenge. However we were offered accommodation on a lower floor but choose the option of the larger apartment. The stairs to the upper floor. A challenge with luggage.

- Emily (10/5): - We had such a great stay at this property! Absolutely a great choice if you are travelling to Paris. We were a group of 4 and it was a perfect fit, would be great for families. Clean and safe and absolutely perfect location! Just a few minute walk to the Louvre and about ~35 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. Staff were friendly. Our group has no complaints overall. One thing I would highlight is that there was no elevator, just stair, so for accessibility this unit would only work for those able to easily maneuver stairs. Would stay here again!

- Akinyemi (6/5): - My family and I (two adults, two children under 10) recently stayed at this hotel for our holiday, and it was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is fantastic. Being so close to the Louvre was a huge advantage for sightseeing, and we were spoiled for choice with the variety of excellent restaurants just a short walk away. This made it very convenient for family meals. Furthermore, our room was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated after long days of exploring the city. However, there were several negatives that significantly impacted our stay. The biggest issue was the lack of a lift. Our room was on the fourth floor, and I had to carry our 25kg suitcases up four flights of narrow stairs, which was exhausting and not ideal for a family with young children. The breakfast, which was included, was very basic and disappointing. The dining area was far too small for the number of guests, and we repeatedly had to call reception to find out when a table was free. This was a frustrating way to start our day. The general condition of the common areas was quite poor. The rugs on the stairs were visibly worn out, and the fixtures looked dated and run-down. In our opinion, this establishment feels more like a Bed & Breakfast than a hotel, and the price we paid felt too high for the level of comfort and amenities provided. Potential guests, especially families or those with mobility issues, should be aware of the lack of a lift and the subpar breakfast.

Fomos com duas crianças de 10 anos, requer um pouco de cuidado com a cama na parte superior e com a escada que dá acesso a essa cama. Fiquei no quarto andar e o acesso é com vários lances de escada. The location is perfect - close to Tuileries and tons of food, but also a quiet side street. You can open the big window in the kitchen, hear the sounds of the city, but not too much of the city. Check-in was a breeze, staff was kind and helpful, price was very reasonable. Legit not a single complaint, highly recommended.

- Danerra (10/5): - Hotel Lion d’Or is a treasure. We stayed in studio 4SD which had more amenities than what was needed to accommodate us during our stay. The kitchenette, complete with espresso machine, daily stocked mini fridge, microwave dishes/pots and pans, stovetop etc is excellent. The market is around the corner which is easy shopping if you wish to cut down on restaurant dining. Less than two blocks you will be at the Tuileries. Every street surrounding this hotel is filled with shops and cafes, bistros and restaurants. It is also within easy walking distance to the metro, bus stops etc (2-4 minutes!). The rooms are cleaned to the highest calibre every day. I truly cannot say enough about this little gem. Oh and the breakfast! Jams of every kind, fresh bakery items, dried fruits and nuts, self serve coffe bar, breads, meats and cheeses etc. If you need to take a moment in the afternoon to recoup, the beautiful dining area is perfect to enjoy some delicious lemon water (available at all times) and an espresso while some light jazz music plays in the background. I truly cannot say enough. To the staff: thank you so very much for making my daughter’s 16th birthday the birthday of a lifetime. We will return. We miss you already. Ont t’aime, Paris ❤️

There was a lockbox for any travel documents and plenty of storage room in the closet. Also, the air conditioning was amazing! It was hot while we were there, and we were very comfortable at night. I would definitely book a stay here again. My only suggestion to travelers is to make sure the property is aware if you have difficulty climbing stairs, so you are not on a high floor. We were fine.

- I (9/5): Superb - Very good location of the accommodation and very kind staff. Nice, clean, spacious apartment. Apartment on the 4th floor without an elevator. Very limited selection for vegans at breakfast. The need to reserve breakfast at a specific time due to the small capacity of the breakfast room. Earlier morning slots were already taken.
- Ashlee (10/5): - We loved the location and the set up of this room for our family of 4. Lots of space, mini kitchen, and close to grocery and metro station. Very close to the Louvre and river. Great service and friendly staff.
- Kathleen (8/5): Excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a serviceable kitchen: this is a good choice for a relaxing st - The location is excellent, and the room was comfortable and very clean. I wish we’d been warned that we might have to drag our luggage up to the 4th floor: there is no elevator, and there are 75 steps to get to the top floor. I would also have been happier with fewer mirrors. They are *everywhere*! It makes the room look bigger in photos, but it’s a little creepy to be constantly looking at yourself.

- Michel (4/5): - The location is amazing, however the small studio across from the hotel we rented does not deserve a 3 Stars Rating. We stayed 11 night with our two sons and ran the Paris Marathon the first week end. They did not clean our room floor before we asked on the 7th day!!! We booked over 5 months ahead and they still gave us a VERY SMALL room for 4 people we could not even access the stairs or seat at the table with out moving the dining table and baby crib! The building is old, we can hear every person going up and down the stairs, they are made of wood! Again not worthy of 3 stars! There is also a very bad smell in the room if the windows are not opened! We where very disappointed with the room and quality of the service but delighted by the location.

- Renu (3/5): No Lift!! - There is no lift for the studio apartments we were on the top floor! The air con didn’t work every night so very hot most night making hard to sleep Hotel is quite dated but extremely clean and the staff were so lovely
