• Sacha (4/5): A highly priced budget accommodation in excellent location! - Excellent location! District 1 Mid range hotel- very expensive for what is provided! No window, kettle and cups but no tea/coffee. Broken hairdryer, has to request extra toilet roll/soap etc. Would not stay again!

Basic room (for the money paid), no window, had to ask for shower gel and shampoo refills and toilet rolls. Hairdryer did not work. Kettle and cups provided but no tea:coffee.

• Salih (6/5): if you want a good nights sleep I’d suggest somewhere else, but if you want a good location you won’t go wrong. - The staff were really nice and the location was great, very close to Benh thanh market and Saigon centre shopping mall. Light switches in the room weren’t working correctly, turn lights off and the extraction fan would come on making it too noisy to sleep, when you turn the switch on lights would come back on forcing you to sleep with the light on, but no noise. Also the toilet would make a loud noise all night as the water flow in the tank wouldn’t stop filling up. I had to turn the tap off for the toilet to bypass it, but it meant you couldn’t flush your business unless you turn it back on again.

• YASUE (10/5): 立地よし、一人旅にはおすすめです - 中心地にあり、この値段なら全く文句はありません。 フロントの方もとても親切でした。 目の前にカフェがあり、徒歩1分圏内に朝食を食べるところもいくつかあります。 市場も目の前、タカシマヤもすぐです。 部屋のドライヤーは、壁に付いている形で、スイッチを入れても動かなかったので、フロントの人に言うと、ドンドンと叩いて直してくれました。 アメニティは、歯ブラシ、石鹸、くし、綿棒、シャンプー、ボディソープ、タオル×2、バスタオル×2、ビーチサンダル×2、水1日2本、電気ポット。 持って行って良かったのは、パジャマ変わりのジャージ、折りたたみハンガー（備え付けのハンガーはクローゼットから外せないタイプ）。 掃除がとか、汚れがとか、細かいことを気にする方はプール付きの1万以上のホテルに泊まればいいかと思います。 またホーチミン市に来るときは絶対に利用します。

• Ejaz (4/5): Disappointing - Location location location It looks like a family run business. The owner was really nice but the hotel could improve on a lot of things. The lights were flickering. The jet shower spa was not comfortable at all and it was congested. They could have added coffee and tea with room service. AC was temperamental. It wasn't a fully fledged hotel. We didn't mind it as we were out all the time. Location is the only positive. Wouldn't return here.

• Joe (6/5): Great location - Hotel is in a great location very central to most things to do in Ho Chi Minh. Staff are happy to help though they only really have one person that can understand and speak English. Tried doing work online though the internet kept dropping out and really slow asked about it and worked good for 2 hours then went back to how it was. This was the second time I stayed there, first time I found was a better experience than this time sadly.
• Keenan (10/5): Excellent Location. - Located on a quiet side street with numerous shops selling t-shirts, sunglasses, shoes etc. The location is excellent. In close proximity to shopping and site seeing. No breakfast is offered at this hotel. They have the facilities but I guess have decided not to offer this any longer. Doesn't matter because you are free to find something in the vicinity. I would stay here again based upon cost and location. Staff were helpful and kind. The staff has limited English speaking skills which means you have to do much of your own research on things to do, etc. I don't speak Vietnamese so they struggled to help me as best they could. Not a problem. I can be a pain at times but they were kind just the same.

• Tim (10/5): Great location, great value! - The location is excellent. It's close to everything. It's on a smaller side street so you're protected from the traffic noise while you're in your room. That's very important because many hotels in Saigon are on busy streets and the traffic noise can make it hard to sleep. The staff is very helpful. The wifi is fast. The air conditioning works great. Great value!

• Cedric (8/5): Propre et très bien placé - Hôtel bon rapport qualité /prix, son énorme point fort c'est son emplacement, notre chambre était correcte , seuls points noirs les rideaux qui ne sont pas occultants (si vous êtes très matinal alors tant mieux) et le wifi faible qui pour ma part décrochait intempestivement.
• david (8/5): Near Ben Thanh Market - Not bad kocation. 3 minutes wakk th Ben Thanh Market. Mr. Fong, the boss was very helpful and friendly. Only down side is taxi dont always drop you at hotel doorstep if youre going back between 12 midnight and 1am as there is heaps or night market stall around the area and access road is blocked by closing stalls and cleaning up. Taxi ride ti Pham Ngu Lao cost around 30,000 dongs but becareful of rogue taxi drivers. Overall, pleasant stay. Will stay here again.
• Solo Traveller (8/5): Nice hotel close to Ben Thanh Market - This hotel is located only a couple minutes walk away from Ben Thanh Market- great for street food and shopping. Even though the area is extremely busy it's quiet at night (although the place across the street was playing loud music throughout the night). The hotel staff are extremely nice and helpful and speak English well. They helped me book tours and taxis when requested. It is close to the airport which cost me $10USD each way. It's probably cheaper if you get a metered taxi but it was more convenient to get a prepaid one. The wifi was fast! My only complaint is that they had overbooked the hotel so I did not get the room I reserved- I ended up with a room with two twin beds instead of a double (I was travelling solo). It wasn't a big deal but something the hotel should keep in mind.
• thao (10/5): I love Vuong Tai, Phong is a great man - This is quite a wonderful stay at Vuong Tai. Phong, the staff, was super helpful. The hotel condition, the service, and the location is fantastic. It is a gem. I love the state of the art bathroom. It is just a few steps from Ben Thanh market on a small street and it is not noisy at all. Would recommend to anyone! I love to come back here again

• Hanne (6/5): Toll zentral gelegen, dennoch ruhig - Ein Steinwurf vom Zentralmarkt, fußläufig zum Travellerviertel und zu allen Attraktionen der Innenstadt. Zimmer schön groß, neu und nett eingerichtet. Alle Einrichtungen funktionierten tadellos. Nur die Sauberkeit im Zimmer ließ zu wünschen übrig: das feuchte Tuch, mit dem man über die Möbel wischte, war dann grau... Schmuddelig auch das "Frühstück s bistro". Rezeptionspersonal wirkte nachlässig im Auftreten.
• Patrick (6/5): - This hotel is classified under category with swimming pool. We booked this hoping we can use the pool. However, when we checked with the reception, they say there is no swimming pool. So please changed your classification to avoid deceiving customers. Thank you.
• Delwyn (8/5): excellent hotel in excellent location - We are a couple in our 60s and enjoyed this lovely, modern hotel, very comfortable, and excellent service. The Receptionist couldn't do enough to help us and her English was very good. Also she had good suggestions of what to see and do in Ho Chi Minh. Very central location meant we could walk to nearly all attractions. And yet it was quiet to sleep at night.
• Judith (8/5): Not What You Would Expect - Better - This hotel is in the best location. Close to sights, shopping and food. Not only is it a great location the hotel being in a side street is quiet. Once in side you leave the noise outside. Staff were helpful though the hotel served a very basic breakfast it was adequate for our needs.
• redrose (10/5): Nice hotel close to Cho Ben Thanh - This hotel is small but the location is great ! Just a few minute walk to Ben Thanh Market. Staff are friendly and room are very clean. This is my second visit and will definitely come back again.

It's new n clean however the following is bad : 1) Air condition sometime turn off during the day to save power n you have to ask them to turn on when you are back to room . 2) Breakfast is ala carte ( instead of buffet as stated in web site ) n selection is minimum n quality is no good 3) Service of staff is much too be desired For the price we paid , think we can get better hotel in HCM
• Doug (10/5): Perfect location, AMAZING STAFF, Clean, Comfy - After Expedia screwed up several of our reservations (including this one) I booked in to the Vuong Tai hotel. The hotel itself is located perfectly on a side street across from the Binh Tahn Market. Just far enough away to be clear of all the street noise and close enough to be right next to all the action. The workers at this hotel are so very friendly and helpful many other properties could learn from them. The rooms were spacious and clean, the WIFI worked extremely well and the mini bar was always stocked up. The front desk staff were always smiling and were more than happy to make calls for us and translate for what we needed. They arranged a guided motorbike ride around Ho Chi Minh city for us, arranged cabs to and from the hotel and were never bothered to do anything. The beds were very comfortable, soft, nice pillows and clean. The showers are magic with rain shower head, a hand held shower head and the setting to put on all kinds of sprays and massagers. The aircon blew extremely cold - honestly this property could be charging more if they wanted and it would still be a great value. I would suggest this property 100 times over.
• charperus (10/5): Excellent hotel experience - We have travelled quite extensively and had seen different hotels, motels ; and we have to praise the efforts of the hotel management & staff: - management had invested serious money in UPkeeping the facilities ( 1 billion Vnese Dong to upgrade the elevator) - we stayed in room 603 : queen bed with window and it is clean & fresh + daily room upkeep+maintenance. - on the 6th floor away from all the street noise... I m glad - location is better than others near Ben Thanh market as the hotel is on Luu Van Lang street which is less traffic than Le Thanh Ton and still allow us to all the nearby sites ( restaurants, shopping, transportation,.... ) - Mr. TRUNG , the man of all trade had been more than helpful and done excellent deeds. - front desk staff had been wonderful & professional. - breakfast was ok... nothing to write home about ( limited in choices and should be improved considering the higher prices we had paid for the room ) - there are better priced hotels , at this 3 star level, but the others are old & not as newly renovated... - the old adage : you get what you paid for .... applies perfectly to Vuong Tai hotel.... and we are PLEASED of our 3 DAYS stay. - note we are Vnese expatriates thus we speak Vnese with the staff ; but I had observed staff dealings with foreighers in English with great efficiency.

• Dwight (10/5): Great bargain for a quality western style hotel - We had a great time at Vuong Tai! The staff were super helpful, even when we were purchasing tours other than theirs. She even told us that the cooking class they offered was no good for us because of what we wanted. The hotel itself was very nice, with a state of the art bathroom, and everything was clean - a bit small, but great for the price. The location was top notch as well, just a few steps from Ben Thanh market, and on a small street with lots of shops and street vendors. Would recommend to anyone!

• Tri (8/5): Very nice hotel and close Ben Thanh market - My experience 1 night I went back to hotel very late , for safety reason hotel close but when I rang doorbell the staff open the door for me with warm smile on his face . I felt sorry to wake him up that time but he happy said : he does'nt mind about it and willing to help me

• Graeme (8/5): First time to Saigon - My first trip. Guessed with Hotels. Was a challenge for the taxi. Only doubt was "Room with Window". The view was of a very rusted roof!! Bit of fawlty Towers kicking in.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Vuong tai - Poor breakfast, unfriendly staff,small room,but clean and perfect location.
• Siew Ling (6/5): unable to get the requested room type - Room is not available even though confirmation email is sent from Hotels.com. In the end, I have to top up money to be given a VIP room. I am unhappy with this. Either Hotels.com or Vuong Tai given wrong info. Apart from this, the hotel condition, service and location is good.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel close to Ben Thanh Market - We recently spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. The hotel was very clean, had a modern shower (with hot water), and a good breakfast. The hotel does offer free wi-fi, but reception is a little spotty in the room and best received in the lobby. The best thing about this hotel was it's location. It is within walking distance to the many sites of Saigon. Our only complaint was the airport transfer as we were greeted by a mother and her toddler. The car itself was not clean and was missing seatbelts. We felt that this was unprofessional. The hotel itself was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Saigon.
• alkins (8/5): Top Spot in Saigon - Price for Saigon was fine. Deluxe room for two $46au. per night. Only down side was it was a very poor Breakfast. Room was good. Had room safe. Book Vinasun taxi to airport and not hotel taxi.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Poor hotel - I'll start with the positives, the hotel is in a good location and our room was clean. Negatives ... Do NOT use the hotels offer of transfers-we were completely ripped off!!! They charged us 430,000 to pick us up from the airport and 215,000 for a taxi to drop us off. The taxi set it's meter and it only came to 130,000, I'm guess the hotel pocketed the rest of the money. On our second day we returned to the hotel after ten hours walking round the city in the sun to find there was no water. We reported this and the hotel kept saying "15 more minutes" whilst they were sat around in reception. One and a half hours later there was still no water so we had to go out for the evening without showers and even missed a meal we had planned due to the delay-surely having water to have a shower isn't too much to expect! Our booking said breakfast was included. We missed it the first morning as we weren't told about the times when we checked in, the second day we were offered very poor limited options. We chose jam and toast thinking that nothing could go wrong with this choice however we were given two slices of warm bread not toast and a small sachet of jam. We were very disappointed especially as there was juice dispensers and hot food trays on display which were not being used. I felt that this hotel was closer to a hostel than a hotel and even felt dread each evening I returned worried about what would go wrong next.
