• Colette (9/5): Séjour très agréable dans un hôtel à taille humaine - Très bon emplacement Chambre confortable - nous avions vue sur Chai Praya c’est un réel plus . Bon restaurant et petits déjeuners copieux. Rien Juste pour préciser , la piscine est un peu coincée entre le restaurant et l’entrée . Mais nous ne sommes pas à Bangkok pour passer des après midi complètes à la piscine .

• Dolorers (10/5): Wonderful stay at Riva - The rooms and river view was wonderful and relaxing. The staff is simply great; helpful in getting taxis, answer questions, make reservations, very kind and always gracious. Nothing to complain about.
• Sarah (9/5): I would definitely stay here again - Loved the property, it was really clean central location, and it was beautiful. We did have to switch rooms a few times because there was an ant infestation in the rooms, but the staff was super friendly and very accommodating
• Dominique (8/5): We enjoyed our stay very much. - The room was large with a large balcony. The bathroom was large and clean. The location is great. It's close to a boat pier giving convenient access to the city via boat travel which was cheap. The hotel is also within a short walking distance of many massage parlous, resturants and bars for both young and old. There is also market shopping close by. The river outside was quite noisy but earplugs were supplied, and is was quiet by the time is was bedtime.

Heel schoon overal en erg attent personeel, ook bediening bij het zwembad vlot, heerlijke drankjes en lekkere koffie bij het ontbijt. Mooi uitzicht op de rivier en opstapplek voor watertaxi vlakbij, ideaal om de bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken of naar de Iconsiam Mall te varen. Stuk sneller dan per taxi door het drukke verkeer op de weg en erg leuk.

• Monika (9/5): - Podczas ostatniego pobytu w BKK w Riva Surya byłam dwukrotnie. O ile pierwszy pobyt był absolutnie wyjątkowy pod kazdym względem , drugi był bardzo przecietny. POdczas drugiego pobytu pokój nie był gotowy na nasz przyjazd. Na basenie rozpoczal sie remont, wiec był zagrodzony widok na rzekę, co jest największym atutem tego hotelu. Nie dostałam zadnej informacji o pracach remontowych przed przyjazdem. Z pewnością nie wybrałabym tego hotelu, gdybym wiedziała. NIe działała lodówka w pokoju. Dopiero po dniu próśb wymuenili lodówke.
• PhoebeKate (10/5): Excellent Hotel - This was my first trip to Thailand and Bangkok. We were not sure where to stay and I knew I did not want to stay in a large tower block hotel. The riverside area was suggested and we picked this hotel. We picked perfectly as was a beautiful hotel in a great location by the river. The staff were incredible and so helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless traditional Thai style. A large comfy bed and lovely bathroom a balcony onto the street. This was a great place to be based to escape the madness of the centre and we used the boat to get about to temples and shopping malls. Lots of lovely bars and places to eat nearby. We did not have an evening meal here but breakfast was excellent. If I ever return to Bangkok this is where I would stay. We had a wonderful stay here and the manager should be proud of his fabulous staff who made our trip so special.

• WilliamRamirez (9/5): Stylish riverside hotel with a great location, worth it for a night or two - Exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is modern, well-maintained, and very comfortable throughout. Excellent central location, within easy walking distance of Khao San Road and right on the river. Beautiful pool and spotlessly clean rooms with a lovely view over the Chao Phraya River. Quite expensive compared to other options in Bangkok. Fine for a short stay, but hard to justify for longer.

• 362rachellec (10/5): Lovely location by the Chao Phraya River - This hotel has a great location along the Chao Phraya River. We didn't end up walking around Bangkok very much, but could have walked to several popular tourist attractions if it hadn't been so hot and muggy. We ended up taking the river ferry (which was fun) to the Grand Palace and the Wat Pho and used Grab many times to get around the city. The prices for most services in Bangkok and Thailand in general are very good. We ate dinner at this hotel our first night and the food was excellent. The pool was popular and a refreshing temperature and the view of the river from the pool was lovely. Our room on the top floor didn't face out over the river, but we had a lovely room nevertheless. We were in Bangkok for the last night of Songkran, which was really fun.

The property is beautifully located by the river, offering a stunning view that can be enjoyed from the room’s balcony or while relaxing at the bar during sunset. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the stay even more memorable.

• Terri (10/5): Fabulous Hotel within walking distance to major attractions - Beautiful accommodations mixing traditional and modern decor, great location, friendly staff and the restaurant was top notch. We stayed at several very nice properties while touring Thailand but the Riva Surya holds a special place in my heart for their breakfast buffet which I think is the best of the best. It was not the largest or the smallest but everything they served was top quality, beautifully presented and delicious. The one minor issue that I had was that the bathroom area did not have the best lighting so I moved another lamp closer to the mirror when applying makeup.

• X9194QCchristopheg (10/5): Great hotel to stay for a trip in BKK - Ideally located in a quiet area , with access to river boat to visit popular sites. Staff service is really good and so kind. Room is confortable, with high standard, and a stunning view on the river . Restaurant is really good and swimming pool is a plus to relax at the end of the day . Globally atmosphere is quiet and you can feel guests are priority for the staff. I can only recommend to book this hotel if you stay several days in BKK.

• Martina (10/5): sehr schönes Hotel, in dem man sich nach Besichtigungen wunderbar erholen kann - sehr angenehmes Hotel im etwas ruhigeren Altstadtbereich von Bangkok, aber dennoch inur wenigen Gehminuten von der Kaosan road entfernt. Frühstück auf der Terrasse direkt beim Chao Praya, sehr gutes Buffet und auch die Steinofenpizza am Abend hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Fährstation 2 Minuten zu Fuss vom Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal Grosser Pool ( die Terrasse wurde gerade renoviert) Wirklich zu empfehlen! Nichts zu bemängeln

• manorom (10/5): Another excellent experience. - I have stayed here several times over the years since the hotel first opened, it never ceases to satisfy. Superbly located on the banks of the river and well placed to explore this part of the city. The staff, as always, are friendly and efficient. The design and decor are so appealing and everywhere is maintained to a very high standard. Ultra-stylish, this is one of my favourite places in this exciting city.

The location is outstanding and walking distance from the hop on hop off river shuttle. The service level of the team is wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Furthermore we had a beautiful Riva Room with the splendid view of the river. Room was clean and comfortable. All decoration in the hotel was nice as well in the room. The swimming pool was great to visit after a day of experiences in Bangkok. The beds and chairs around are very comfortable. Very specially to mention is the extra attention and service we became when our flights were not so sure anymore. It was of great comfort to us knowing you were aware of that and very helpful not only then but all the time we ask. If we come back to lively Bangkok we sure will stay in your hotel again,

(9/5): Altijd weer een feest om hier in dit sublime hotel te zijn !! - Wij logeren altijd in dit hotel als wij in Bangkok zijn, het ligt dicht bij de pier en wij reizen graag per boot, altijd weer een heerlijk ontbijt, schoon zwembad, super vriendelijk personeel en fijn terras aan het water, heerlijk kleinschalig met prettig publiek. Jammer dat ze een groot deel van het lounge terras bij de rivier reserveren voor de rokers, vroeger zaten wij daar veel maar dit is ondoenlijk geworden met de invasie van rokers dit jaar. Beter zou zijn om de rokers aan de overkant vh zwembad te plaatsen bij de kleine zitjes dan storen ze ook niet als je ziet te eten aan de waterkant.

• Ryndam (8/5): An Oasis of Calm - Lovely location on the river. Great happy hour. In-house restaurant serves tasty meals in a beautiful setting. Very efficient A/C and nice hot shower. Decor is a bit dated, but well maintained. Staff is extremely personable and cannot do enough to assist. Location is a 5-10 minute walk from a lively night market with many bars, restaurants, massage studios and pot shops! The hotel is an oasis of calm compared to its surrounding neighborhood.

Our Urban Room at the front was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful extras like mattress toppers, dressing gowns, snacks, and toiletries. The pool area is gorgeous, with comfy sun loungers and a stunning river view. Breakfast was by far the best we had in Thailand – delicious and beautifully presented. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Piaow and the team at the front entrance went above and beyond to make our stay effortless and welcoming. Highly recommended – great location, fantastic rooms, and exceptional service!

The amenities at the hotel like the pool was very relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed the location of the hotel as it was convenient to walk to key destinations such as the Grand Palace and Wat Phra. Besides the comfortable stay, the hotel staff made the experience even better. Each staff was so kind and welcoming. We appreciated Ton, Non, Piaow and all the other staff who we didn’t get a chance to get their names.

Always a smile. We didn’t catch everyones’s name. Doorman was quick to help us negotiate Grab, as were the front desk staff. Room was large and very comfortable with a view of the river. The hotel is on the river so convenient when getting around by boat. I used the pool almost every day which was refreshing after sightseeing in the Bangkok heat. Highly recommend. We also ate dinner and lunch, once each, at the hotel restaurant, and it was quite good. Excellent service.

The rooms, were large and spacious and incredibly clean. The food and service in both the hotel and restaurant was second to none. A special shout out to Piaow, who was a star!

Very attentive and friendly staff. It was impossible to sit in the lobby because it was so hot since both the front and rear entrances are kept open. So during the day, in order to sit somewhere with air conditioning- there wasn’t any public area.

The room was absolutely beautiful, super clean, well organized, and having a washer in the room was such a game changer while traveling. The pool area was one of my favourite parts, it overlooks the river and is just such a peaceful, stunning place to relax after a day exploring Bangkok. The breakfast buffet was honestly next level, with so many great options and everything tasting fresh and high quality. I also had dinner at the hotel and it was incredible, such an elegant atmosphere and the food was unreal. I had the lobster and the pulled pork wraps and they were both phenomenal. On top of all that, the location is perfect and the whole experience just felt really special. I’d 100% stay here again 🤍

• MrsT74 (10/5): Great Location close to nightlife and for exploring old Bangkok - We stayed at Riva Surya Bangkok for 3 nights in February and had a wonderful experience. The location is ideal—close to the river, nightlife, and restaurants, yet far enough away to avoid crowds and noise, making it a great area to explore on foot. We stayed in the Premium Riva Room (river view with balcony), which was very spacious and offered fantastic views of the river. We didn’t book breakfast, but we did eat in the hotel restaurant one late afternoon, which was definitely a highlight and got a glimpse of the lovely sunset as we ate. Special mention goes to the garlic prawns from their tapas menu—hands down the best we’ve ever had, even surpassing those we’ve enjoyed in Spain! The pool area is pleasant and a nice spot to relax in. Not a lot of loungers and only a few that looked like they would catch the sun for a lot of the day but as that wasn't the reason for our stay this time, it didn't bother us. While the hotel isn’t directly on public transport links, this is due to the area and was our choice. There were plenty of tuk-tuks nearby, and Grab or street taxis were easy to use. On departure day, the hotel arranged a taxi to the airport, which arrived promptly. Overall, Riva Surya Bangkok offers a fantastic mix of location, comfort, excellent food, and welcoming staff—highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again.

They welcomed up with fruit and wine for our stay and the room was super clean with amazing AC and very comfortable beds! A great walkable location with lots of dining and bars nearby and it’s on the river so the view was incredible! They also have a nice restaurant and pool on site. It was easy to catch taxis and grabs right outside the hotel and the staff was amazing!

• Cécile (9/5): Emplacement et chambre superbes - Le Riva Surya est un hôtel idéalement placé à Bangkok, avec un accès direct au pier sur le Chao Praya. La piscine est très belle avec vue sur le fleuve. Nous avions une grande chambre avec une terrasse vue fleuve, impeccable, avec une très bonne literie. Nous avions demandé à ce que le petite canapé soit transformé en lit pour notre fille, ce qui a été fait. Tout était super. Petit bémol toutefois sur la restauration : les petits déjeuners n'étaient pas à la hauteur de leur prix (10€ par personne) et les boissons étaient très chères. Cela n'a en rien entaché notre séjour.
• David (7/5): Pleasant hotel in good location. - Excellent location and friendly helpful staff. Good pool area although lacking in sunbeds and shade particularly mid/ late afternoon - unoccupied dining tables reducing space for more sunbeds. Room wasn’t particularly well serviced. Floor not cleaned and items not restocked. Odd Happy Hour arrangements. Buy 3 get 4th free in the afternoon and from 8-10pm Happy Hour. Drinks grossly overpriced for the very small measures particularly of wine and gin and tonic.
