• SteveTh6 (5/5): Stuffy and Poor service - a little communication goes a long way - The place is decorated nicely and generally a nice place They were conducting ‘routine maintenance’ on their AC systems and informed us of such as we checked in. They did not however state that the system wasn’t functioning for our entire stay and maintenance men needed access to our room numerous times during the stay. My wife is chronically ill and we needed a place for her to rest and recuperate. It was extremely disturbing and disruptive for her. The fact they knew the AC maintenance was occurring prior to our stay and never informed us is extremely poor customer service. The rooms were too hot to sleep then too cold - all with the weather - and zero ability to adjust temp. Not what you expect from a higher end hotel.

A 20 min à pied de la plage Coogee. C'est juste une suggestion... de mettre des éclairages automatiques dans les parties communes elles restaient allumées toute la nuit et on voyait la lumière a travers le cadre de la porte, les portes revoir le système de fermeture on ententendait la porte à chaque fois que quelqu'un sortait de la chambre elles sont lourdes donc un bruit bien prononcé. Rien de bien méchant.

This room had a pillar in entrance to front door & bathroom. Pillar in very awkward position. Dirty white marks on black decorator bed cushions. Bleach spots on carpet. Nasty water stain on bedhead.

• Monique (9/5): Great location, quiet and a home-away-from-home when travelling for work. - The kitchenette has an ironing board and an iron available to use, along with a Coffee maker. Loved the in-room mini kitchenette with a kettle for hot drinks and a bar refrigerator for milk. Outside street parking was free. Excellent reception. Great location close to key transportation, dining and beaches. The window faced the neighbours' windows; this could've been frosted or a sheer curtain to let in light while maintaining privacy. The mattress could do with replacing. Use a mattress that minimises disrupted sleep when another person turns over. Fan might be required in the bathroom, but opening a window helped to reduce fogging.

• Meegan (1/5): TERRIBLY MAINTAINED BEAUTIFUL BUILDING - Great quiet location , just a short walk to shops & cafes , helpful polite staff .Comfortable bed . We stayed 3 nights : 1st room: had BLACK MOLD: in water damaged bathroom door frame. The smell of mold was strong ...even after opening the windows . The air con dripped water onto the power point bellow, head of the bed , the bed pillow & sleepers head all night . We moved rooms. 2nd room: no mold , but SAME PROBLEM with the AIR CON WATER DRIPPING ONTO POWER POINT . THESE 2 PROBLEMS ARE BOTH DANGEROUS & HEALTH RISKS , WHICH RUINED OUR STAY . WE DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.

Next time I would upgrade to a larger room for a bit more space. I would definitely stay again. Wish the air conditioner had worked better but we were happy with the fan…it was a particularly hot spell in Sydney.

• Jody (7/5): We would love to return but would request a room away from the front reception area and hallway. - Great location with free parking directly outside the accomodation. The staff were lovely, friendly, professional and welcoming . The room itself was super clean with beautiful decor and design aesthetic. The gardens and surrounds were also beautifully kept. Unfortunately, the room was not sound proof and was positioned at the front door and opposite reception (room 102) The noise of guests arriving and leaving was extremely disruptive and did impact on our comfort levels during our stay.

Close to Randwick town centre and cafes, buses, light rail and to beach at Clovelly and Coogee (hilly walk). Appreciated the quiet room location and friendly reception staff. Would have appreciated a power point in the bathroom and more convenient to have a toaster and microwave in the room (and not in a communal kitchen upstairs) and which would have better complemented the sink and kitchenette provided.

The setting and courtyard are good Was not aware that the reception closed at 6 pm and the correspondence to gain entry after hours was very poor as the email from them with instructions kept redirecting to their website which omitted the top half of details - however finally got an email with full details and no links! The room for a double deluxe needed a bit of TLC & was much smaller than expected. We also had only 3 hangers for 2 people for 3 nights. The laundry facility also closed at 7 pm.

• Trevor (8/5): characterful and quiet - Lovely location in leafy Randwick within walking distance of the tram into town, this is a lovely property in a quiet area, and nicely facilitated with friendly staff. A nice but not huge room and our air con was not that effective. Luckily, the temperatures weren’t too high, but it might be something that needs to be addressed.
