Guest Reviews
- Alistair (10/5): - Excellent staff, cracking location. Free parking - perfect for Excel
- Andrew (10/5): First choice in future (who needs big chain hotels - An independent jewel with character in the middle of corporate Travelodge/Ibis chains. Good beers, good food, great staff and large rooms.
- Darryl (8/5): - Very pleasant welcome and convenient location for our trip. Our room was small but did the job for the amount paid.
- Dean (6/5): - Really nice staff and welcome, made us feel comfortable and happy to answer questions about getting into London. Very conveniant for O2.
Improvements - asked for batteries for remote to tv, never arrived, remote not work, towels had hairs on them not ours, socket for kettle looks burnt and had to plug in other socket for it to work. Stains on carpet and ceilings and shower does not work at all.
Very noisy for planes n trains.
- Godwin Anthony Osahon (8/5): - The hotel is okay, and the staffs are nice
- Amanda (10/5): Great work away hotel - Staff were really friendly & helpful
Great evening meals & breakfast
- Inderjit (10/5): Fox Connaught London Hotel - delightful stay ✨️🎉 - FOX Connaught London, near Excel London NEC is an excellent hotel and bar venue, and a serene location.
Comfort, cleanliness, hosting with care and kindness from their team - Dominic, Aaron, Steven, Holly, Logan and others - made my stay most enjoyable - fabulous team management ALL working together like best friends.
Very convenient that the underground train station 'Custom House' Elizabeth Line and DLR station is half a mile walk from Fox Connaught.
Also the Nbr 300 bus and other buses are a couple mins walk, just around the corner from the hotel.
Free parking for residents and ALL guests who attend the restaurant and bar with its cozy indoor and outdoor seating for dining, cocktails, meetings and friend/family gatherings.
Bargain value for money with delicious dining and breakfast all day long- compliments to the chef.
Looking forward to visiting often.
Thanks to Hotels.com for offering bargain prices 👏
- Rachael (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay in London
- Adriane (4/5): - This place was overly priced for the location and amenities.
I felt unsafe walking to public transportation. It smelled outside and obviously had people living/staying in the bushes.
It’s also not on a direct line to London. I felt misled since that was the most important thing for me. They should state what line the public transportation was on.
- Emma (10/5): - Great food discount uf you show your key, access arranged if you come back after thevpub has closed. Room was clean, spacious and fully equipped. Highly recommend
- Alison (8/5): - Really comfortable bed but a pretty small room which I wouldn’t have wanted to share with another person as not a lot of room to move around. It took a long time for the shower to go warm and at one point I didn’t think it was going to. The carpark had plenty of space and it’s a 7 minute walk to Excel and a DLR station. The lady who checked me in was very friendly but the rest of the staff were pretty surly.
The hotel is part of a pub. The windows in my room didn’t open much and there was no fan or air con and it was 30 degrees! It wasn’t mega expensive but I’m not sure I’d stay there again.
- Kalliopi (6/5): - Nice Victorian building. Some mold in bathroom. Room had most amenities but u had to ask for toilet paper or to have your room cleaned.
- Keith (10/5): - Location and car parking excellent. Staff very friendly.
- Peter (8/5): - This hotel is convenient and with parking makes it unique in London. The manager was excellent with a full explanation of the facilities and room offerings. The hotel is let down by its bar staff that are extremely unhelpful and rude, as a consequence I didnt use their F & B services and eat outside of the hotel - more work needs to be done on training the bar staff.
- Cheryl (2/5): - I didn't end up staying as I couldn't get into the property. No one was around! I ended up having to spend more money to stay at another hotel
- Dawn (8/5): - Lot of stairs.
- Kevin (2/5): - The breakfast was advertised from 7.30am. When I went down for breakfast I was told nobody was there to prepare breakfast before at least 8am so I had to leave without eating, despite purchasing breakfast. It was impossible to use the internet as well the night before. The internet would disconnect after just a few seconds after connecting so was impossible to use. I did mention this but nothing was done about the poor connection. I have stayed here a couple of times before but based on this experience wouldn't return unless someone contacts me to respond to my dissatisfaction and explain what went wrong.
- Richard (10/5): - Second time staying here. Staff are really great….cant do enough for you.
Looking forward to staying again in future.
- Audrey (10/5): - Great location
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - Lovely stay, staying again in the near future, highly recommended
- Sally (8/5): - The staff were welcoming, the room was good although the shower had quite a bit of mould in it, also the shower went cold while I was using it, overall for what we paid for the night we were happy with it and would stay there again, it just needs a bit of tlc
- T (10/5): Great staff! - The whole team was great to me, always chatting and making sure it was a good stay.
- Lynn (8/5): - The floor in our room slopped and the curtains were hanging of the rail, otherwise all was good.
- Franziska (2/5): Don’t go - will save you a lot of issues - A ruin!
- Jamie (4/5): - Great location as a 5 minute walk from the Excel and 2 train stations. Easy access to tube and rest of london
The pothole comkng down the road of the bridge didnt help in night time. The staff were lovely. However we had problems with water temperature, and floor condition, nebtioned to management and they resolved it when they were able. Food was great and good peicing as discounted if staying in the hotel
- Richard (10/5): - Staff were amazing. A credit to the hotel.
- Michele (10/5): - The staff are extremely helpful
- Caroline (8/5): - The property was nice enough, very near London city airport but not too bad for noise, the bar/reception area was clean and tidy, and got busy at night, with a good atmosphere. The room we were in was a lovely large room, with en suite shower room. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, the only slightly strange thing was there was only one curtain over one window, the blinds at the other window did an okay job but there was a gap at the top where light streamed in in the morning, it was fine for us though. The hotel is a five minute walk from the DLR station, so easy access into the centre of London. Overall we had a nice stay here.
- Jim (6/5): A few problems but good customer service. - Quite well located pub with rooms. Not far from London City Airport. Quite comfortable stay but TV remote failed during the evening, boiler packed up overnight (no hot water in the morning) and breakfasts couldn't be served until 0930 (breakfast chef delayed) so I had to eat in the Premier Inn across the road. However evening meal was good as was customer service. A taxi was ordered for me when I left. No lift so it was a struggle to take a suitcase up to top floor.
- Karen (8/5): - Little Gem, nice tradirional pubeithgood rooms. Bed was extremely comfy
- Adriana (6/5): - we couldn't have hot water and very bad TV signal
- Dorothy (8/5): - This was a perfect property for a quick overnight work trip.
- Erika (10/5): Fox Connaught - Lovely pub stay off the Thames in the heart of London. Staff was fantastic. Close to Prince Regent Station.
- oluwole (4/5): - Ir could do with a lot of freah air inside the building.
It an old building in good shape though. But needs aeration.
3 nights i stayed there ( july 23rd to 26th)., my room was not cleaned!.
I expected a more vibrant and jolly experience.
I was not pleased at all!!.
I would have che ked our after the forst night if i could get my refund. ( No wonder booking had a No refund ").
Few pluses though; quiet and close to transit. If you parake, a bar is downstairs.
- Jay (10/5): Ok hotel - Hotel waa a nice looking place. The room we had waa right at the top, so had several flights of stairs to go up and down which was fune. The room was good for the price. Bathroom waa quite small, very tight between the shower and toilet but not reall an issue. Shower does need updating but usable. The only real isdue with the stay was the kettle. Kettle was put on for my morning tea. When it came to boiling point, the kettle did not turn itself off, so I went to tirn it off and the stram feom kettle burnt my finger so had to turn it off by the wall. After a minute, I went to pour the water into the cup and the handle if the cup waa untouchable, it was so hot that i has to wait 5 minutes before i coul pour the water.
I reported this to a staff member who said thwy would lwt the manager know. I did think someone might have come and spoken ro me but nothing.
The end of the stay was very disappointing but the rest was ok.
- Ian (4/5): - Checking in was quick and the person doing it pleasant enough. The bedroom, although cosy, looked clean as did the bed linen. I also slept ok. Now the not so good bits. The air con unit came out of the ark, was held together by sellotape and pointed upwards when I eventually managed to turn it on since the switch was warn so I couldn’t tell what I was doing. The remote for it didn’t work. The TV was mounted so high the top touched the ceiling, good job I went out and didn’t need to watch it. The safe didn’t work, half the number keys were missing. Then there was the bathroom. Toilet and sink were ok although clearly plenty of splashing of the metal bin lid next to the toilet as it was rusty. The shower tray and head don’t look like they’ve been cleaned since they were installed. I needed a shower as it was a hot day so gritted my teeth and went for it. Oh dear, the shower tray didn’t drain quick enough and soon filled overflowing on to the bathroom floor. Good job I had a spare set of towels to use to mop up. Looking at other reviews this type of issue has been reported a few times. Whether we’ve all had the same room or not I don’t know but clearly maintenance isn’t a priority. I would have reported it when I checked out but there was no one on reception. As they say, you get what you pay for but in this case I’m not even sure what I paid was worth it. I’ve cancelled a future booking.
- Christine (8/5): - Really good location for the O2. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The general decoration of the accommodation is in need of a bit of updating and the shower needed a really good clean.
Overall it was adequate, especially for the price. I would definitely stay again
- Malcolm (10/5): Great: value...location...service - Check in was really easy and staff were helpful despite us arriving an hour before check in.
We loved the old building appearance from the outside and the modern look of the rooms.
Excellent value and easy access to DLR/Elizabeth Line
- Geraint (10/5): - Very helpful staff. Slept very well.
- carl (10/5): - Couldn’t fault it for the cost free parking comfortable room discount in the bar and the food was also good no problems whatsoever
- Frank (6/5): A room at a pub without broken AC and shower - Ok hotel, but I arrived late, the airconditioning did not work and the latch that switch from tap to shower did not move at all, so I could not shower. Since it was after 23:00 and this is a pub with rooms, rather than a hotel, service was not available to solve the problems. I had an early morning flight, so just washed without the shower (not ideal) and went to the airport.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Our stay was lovely. All the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. Perfect location for where we needed to go and close to the tube station to get around the city. Only issue was had was the shower leaked significantly, filled up the bottom of the shower and took a very long time to get warm enough.
- ALPER (8/5): - Don’t expect too much
It’s good for short stays
- Verified traveler (4/5): Tolerable budget hotel, but skip breakfast - The two staff we saw were helpful and friendly, but this hotel appears to be on its last legs and needs a rethink. Our basement bedroom was small, noisy and needed decorating. Breakfast was basic and poor: we had to ask for cereal and some was found; another table asked for orange juice and some was provided; from a basic menu we chose scrambled eggs on toast (white toast spread with margarine was very unpleasant) and my wife had a BLT (fatty bacon also in plastic white bread), but the coffee was quite good. We paid £77 for one night with free parking, and I know you get what you pay for, but we had a much better experience when we stayed previously (pre-COVID).
The Fox Connaught needs a major rethink and investment. It’s an interesting building, so it would be a shame to demolish it, but might be better suited to being a restaurant to serve the other nearby hotels and Excel.
- Alan (10/5): Would stay again - Helpful staff, 20% discount at the bar for food and drinks which was very nice. Room was comfy and clean. Would stay again.
- Genevieve (10/5): Lovely stay, lovely staff - Lovely stay here with great service! It’s an old building with an interesting history, so don’t expect sparkling clean nooks and crannies but I was very comfortable here and slept very well.
The pub has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff!
- Dean (8/5): Great stay. Shame about the shower. - The location was perfect. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Room was comfortable and had everything you needed.
The only thing that let this room down was the shower. At best luke warm at worst stone cold. That was the only disappointing aspect of our stay.
- Jackie (10/5): - We both had the best sleep for years. Bed very comfortable, fantastic pillows and a quiet neighbourhood.
Yes it’s a little aged but it’s an old building and everything worked as it should. We had extra pillows and used the spare duvet as well as we were a bit cold from being out late and we slept really well. Transport on the DLR was efficient and it took about 4/5 minutes to the hotel. Would definitely recommend.
- Christine (10/5): - Good value and clean.
- Mantas (10/5): Good old hotel - Great simple hotel. Old building has its quirks, but overall very pleasant experience
- David (6/5): - Lovely people, quiet, functional and cheap, just a bit dated
- Kerry (4/5): - The rooom was nice and clean but lack of bedding and the service was absolutely awful, seriously rude and unhelpful staff
- Saleem (8/5): great location - nice location good service free parking great staff and drink bar and breakfast nice small room.
- Victoria (6/5): - This was a great place to stay in terms of convenience for the ExCel. Was unable to contact the property (either via Expedia booking contact property function or using their phone number) ahead of time regarding a late check in which was frustrating. Bathroom wasn't completely clean and in poor condition.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for! - Positives:
- you get what you pay for. When you’re paying a 1/3rd of the price compared to the neighbouring hotels. Don’t expect anything special.
- the bedroom and bathroom are relatively big (large double).
- you cannot hear a thing from the pub downstairs and barely any road noise.
- I found the bed comfortable and had a decent nights sleep.
-fairly clean in the bedroom.
- decent location, easy access to the DLR and Elizabeth lines.
Negatives:
- it’s basic as expected when you’re paying the price compared to other hotels.
- bathroom very tired, signs of moulds stains around the bath. Shower could do with an update.
- if you have noisy neighbours you’ll be able to hear them. I didn’t have that issue but my partner heard people coming back in the early hours.
No complaints as such, like I said you get what you pay for!!
- Helen (8/5): - q
- John (8/5): - Things I liked:
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, comfortable room, great location, good price.
Things I disliked:
No breakfast included in stay. Sink was full of water in my room, with bits floating in it. Bedside telephone had gunk stuck between the keys. Check in time was not 24h.
- Alan (10/5): - Gem of a place. Next to Docklands Light Railway for easy access into London Centre. Traditional building that has undergoing modernization. Lovely pub downstairs with good food. Quite location overnight. Friendly staff.
Breakfast not included ( Hotels.com information incorrect ), but only costs £10 with your 20% off as a hotel guest
- Christine (10/5): Great staff - Staff were really accommodating as we were running really late, the room was comfortable and huge! Breakfast was buffet style but lots on offer. The bar lady waa really friendly too. Make sure if you stay here you say "pub" as no taxi services nor uber recognised it as a hotel; that was a challenge
- Michael (8/5): Fox Connaught 20.03.2023 - The hotel is located less then 20 minutes from London City airport. This is the main perk of the hotel. Rooms were clean, breakfast was tasty and staff were pleasant.
- Paul (8/5): Did the job - The lady on reception was helpful and pleasant. The room was fine - everything is in need of a bit of a spruce up but it's fine. The shower kept running cold which was annoying and it was hard to get the room completely dark as one of the blinds didn't have a twiddly thing. Breakfast options were pretty limited but apparently that's changing.
- Alexander (4/5): Good in places, bad in others. - The place itself was great, the room massive and so on, the thing that killed it for me is no hot water, it took ages to get just cold to slightly warm water. For me a hot shower makes a stay anywhere easier, but when that basic standard isn’t met, in London, in the 21st century, not good.
Breakfast started at 07.30, London is an early rise city, si I missed out in that as well.
- James (6/5): Get what you pay for - Value for money yes, friendly staff, but the rooms are overdue a deep clean, mould removal and even a dust!
- Andy (8/5): - Lovely room. Very clean and comfortable.
- Rachael (10/5): - Amazing night, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and nice pub with stunning food.
- Verified traveler (4/5): No hot water. - No hot water!
One of the things you pay for when at a hotel is to have hot water.
This hotel didn’t have it.
Breakfast was poor aswell.
Won’t be staying again.
- V (2/5): When you think it can t get worst - Coming to checkin all went fine, until i saw my room, I booked a family room and i got a tiny room with a double bed. Went to ask about it, and they just gave my room to someone else for no apparent reason, absolute shock, my friends were went to stay with me for our business trip, I was forced into a very uncomfortable position.
My room only had luke warm water for one shower and the rest was cold.
Dirty room, crumbs from previous peoples, stains on wall, dirty shower, everything is tired.
On breakfast, I witnessed a mice running through the breakfast room.
Wifi didn't work.
The stay only got worst from beginning to end.
- Jeanette (10/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely staff & hotel , good food
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The Staff were pleasant when we arrived and helpful when asked any questions. However, there was a very strong smell of alcohol and weed around the building. Our neighbours next door constantly fought and where very loud at a late time. The shower leaked and did not run any hot water. In Addition to this there where 3 radiators in the room but only one small portable one in the room worked meaning the room was cold in the night. Finally one of the things I was assured is, we would get the continental breakfast at 7.30am. But, after checking if the breakfast was open all the way up till 8.30am- it had still not been open. there where no staff in the building and everything was still locked up so we couldn’t have the breakfast we were promised upon paying for the room.
- James (4/5): - The room was very clean, the shower was cold and leaked all the time. Staff were pleasant. However, the hallways smelt of weed. We were told breakfast would be ready at 7.30 am ....we waited until 8.45 a.m., and the shutters or the building had not opened, no staff, no breakfast.
- Andrew (10/5): Solo concert stay - Easy to find, good distance from tube, pleasant bar with good food reasonable priced, nice room, lovely an warm on arrival, very clean, good decor, comfortable double, good size shower,20 % off food and drinks with stay, free breakfast,an establishment that got everything correct would definitely stay again and have no problem in highly recommending.
- Carlo (6/5): - Ok for a one night stay, bathroom very tired, double room very small. Evening meal was good, friendly staff.
- Anthony (8/5): Nice little economical hotel - Great little economical hotel with free safe parking... great for the Exhibition centre which is a 10 minute walk to Custom House.
Continental breakfast had lots of choice.. nice croissants and pane au chocolate.
Basic, but okay
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very very very disappointing - I recently stayed at Fox Connaught for two nights, and I felt compelled to share my experience. Firstly, I was disappointed to find that the included breakfast was not available on both days of my stay, without any prior notice or compensation offered. Additionally, the condition of the room was not as advertised.
I encountered issues with dampness in the toilet, including widespread mold, which raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities. This experience did not meet my expectations based on the hotel's descriptions and promises. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve future guest experiences.
I'll NOT recommend any paying customer to stay at this hotel.
- Andtea (8/5): - It was very relaxed and good value for money
- Olivia (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel for the price, room was adequate. A bit dated/worn but bed was comfortable and room was big enough. Would stay again, breakfast included was a nice touch. 5 min walk to DLR/buses and close by to airport
- Graeme (8/5): - This was a great place to stay for an event at the Excel, and the food and staff were lovely. Although the rooms were a bit dated in decor and furnishings, it was fine for my needs.
The en-suite was overlooked by the neighbouring hotel which was a little worrying!
The bathroom was showing some signs of wear and tear, rusty bin and peeling paint.
Staff were lovely, especially the lady who was doing the breakfast buffet in the morning!
- John (2/5): - Booked to watch a show in London. Arrived at hotel and left cases in room. During the show my father in law suffered a severe medical emergency back home in Kent. We rushed back to the hotel and left straight away to return home. The hotel manager was sympathetic and said he would contact us and discuss a full or partial refund. I have heard nothing and the money has been taken out of my account. At the time the money was not important but the principal of the matter is in my opinion shocking. As I booked this through Expedia i assume it must have been a joint decision but it seems a very unprofessional and heartless way to conduct business
- Alan (10/5): Great for the money - Not the best hotel in London but definitely the best for the money. Great staff and perfect for a bed for the night whilst away with work. Food and drink in the attached bar was good. Room was quiet and comfortable. Hotel is undergoing renovation but not such a massive overhaul that areas are blocked off. Looking forward to stopping there again in June and getting the docklands train into the city. Thank you to the lady member of staff who met us at breakfast and dispelled the mith about all southerners being rude and off hand.
- Andrew (10/5): - Friendly welcome and nice spacious room
- Anthony (6/5): Ok if you get it cheap - Hotel was quite cheap and it was obvious why when staying.
Very cold room, storage heater took all night to heat the room so had to wear clothes in bed as could see my breath it was that cold and there was a massive water stain on the wall.
Breakfast was pastries, toast and cereal (no gluten free options so I skipped it but it looked ok)
- Olusegun (2/5): - On arrival at the building, we were hit by unpleasant stale smell from the entrance and walking through to the reception where the room key was handed over.
On getting to the room, it was freezing, switched on the small heater mounted on lower part of wall which wasn't doing much.
There was permanent stain around edges in shower tray.
I went downstairs and asked the receptionist about the heating and was told it takess about 10 minutes to heat up the room. The didn't properly warm up until later i the evening, having checked in around 3pm, so had to stay in a cold room.
The mattress was terribly uncomfortable that both my partner and I had body ache. I was informed by one of the ladies at the bar that breakfast starts at 7.30am and finishes at about 10am. We went downstairs for breakfast just before 9am but the bar area was closed and there was no one to ask for information.
Breakfast was included in booking but wasn't provided, so we checked out just past 9am.
I will not be coming back to this place and definitely will not be recommending it to anyone.
- Michael (10/5): Great - Another brilliant stay here. Really liked the room I was in, which was in good condition. There was an issue with my room when I checked in, but it was sorted out. The bar downstairs is also really good. I will keep coming back when I need to get a hotel in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff are friendly. The room is wider than expected. I can have quick breakfast in the restaurant area so its good for trips with tight schedules.
P.s. I heard some sound from running DLR but it’s not loud. If you’re not sensitive to a low level sound during sleep it will be a good choice for stay.
- Michael (8/5): - Had a decent stay in room 1.....bed was comfortable though the room and shower are looking a bit dated and tired...but for the price it was what i expected.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Really liked my stay here and would definitely go back. I thought the room was really good and I liked the bar/atmosphere downstairs. The breakfast could be improved though, I felt like it was very minimalistic.
- Anthony (2/5): Connaught terrible accommodation - Bathroom disgusting
No heating
- Erik (8/5): - Very pleasent stay only issues were a few areas a bit dirty and shower pressure was very low however when raised with managers was fixed within half an hour so still score highly
- New (6/5): Grim - Grim. Tired and not very clean at all.
- Gemma (8/5): Good stay, check in could be improved. - Overall stay was good. Room was small but fit for what we needed. Air conditioning was amazing as the heat would have been unbearable. The only complaint of the stay was the check in. The person at the desk couldn’t find my reservation, I showed them my booking email and was told I couldn’t possibly be staying here as the rooms were far more expensive. Asked for the manager who found my booking straight away.
- A (8/5): Weekend stay - Poli and her team were very helpful and, especially around our personal dynamic. Dominic went beyond and above on the day of our check in. Only thing is that the counter staff did not offer us the 20% discount on her food on Saturday maybe due to knowledge or training of this. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience. Thanks
- Michaele (6/5): Comfortable with a few issues - The staff, downstairs pub and food was absolutely lovely, can’t fault it. Our room was small but comfortable, was concerned that an old heater was still in situ and had sellotape holding it together. The real issue was when we had a shower, the water didn’t drain away, meaning you were standing in the increasing puddle but then when getting out of the shower, the floor was flooded, definitely needs to be sorted quickly.
- Yvonne (6/5): - The staff were pleasant and helpful
- Anita (4/5): - Gutted that a hotel with such potential had a shower that didn’t work and a flush that stopped working after two uses. In hot weather like this, it was pretty disastrous. Nice guy at check in and location is good (close to Prince Regent DLR) but otherwise avoid,
- Ian (2/5): - No hot water in room. No service to resolve the problem.
- Zoran (2/5): “BAD” would be an understatement - Rooms and corridors had cigarette ash and stains on the floor. Cold showers as no hot water and no option to have breakfast. All that pleasure for £188 per night. Shocking.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient but not high quality. - Bed was comfortable, close to public transport but it’s a shame about the state of the room. There were cracks in the walls, mould in the bathroom and only a couple of the windows opened.
- Yun Wai Walt (4/5): - No lift, very limited room space, no socket at both bed sides, no refrigerator, front desk open after 10:00 am and guest need to use back door before that. Staff are generally helpful especially proactively help me to carry my luggage to upper floor.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not worth your money - It was meant to be a non smoking room but when we first got into the room the toilet had been used to smoke and they tried to get rid of the smell with the extractor fan which clearly ddnt work.
The shower door , toilet floor and shower itself had a brown discolour which was just disgusting
- Dawn (4/5): - The carpet was stained, the bath mat thread bare and the curtains didn’t close with the hem of one curtain hanging down. Generally the room needed a new make over.
The room was freezing cold and due to being by an exit door had the constant smell of smoke and people taking late into the night
