- angelopS2021OR (10/5): Ottimo albergo a Canillo, appena fuori Andorra - Excellent hotel in Canillo, just after Andorra. Absolutely preferable to the busy Andorra and the locals who drive like they are perpetually competing with tourists. Hotel that meets all expectations, quick check-in and check-out, friendly and helpful. In summer the restaurant is closed, but at the café-bar they serve some snacks that are a good substitute for dinner. We had a double hamburger and fried chicken fingers, all very good at a fair price. The room is also very good, large, very comfortable bed. My wife and I slept very well. The plus is given by the presence of the bidet in the bathroom, almost impossible to finf in those areas. The breakfast was also very good, there was everything we needed and more. The motorbike was parked in the underground garage for a small supplement. The total price paid was absolutely honest and in line with the quality and services offered, if I were to return to those parts again I would definitely return to the Font d'Argent. - 344blankas (10/5): Wonderful first experience in Andorra - Stayed here for a short, two-night stay and it proved to be a great first experience in Andorra. It is easily reachable by public transportation from Andorra la Vella as it is located on the main road and it’s also great basis to visit the famous Tibetan bridge and the Roc del Quer viewpoint. The room was super comfortable with both a bath tub and a shower and lots of storage space. Especially enjoyed the breakfast with lots of local tastes and flavors. The reception staff was a highlight, they went out of their way with kindness and hospitality. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if returning for hiking in the nearby gorgeous mountain ranges.

Rooms were comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to families. We enjoyed the nice spa inside the hotel. Location was great with close access to the ski lift.

- LEDDER5 (10/5): Brilliant Hotel & Staff⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - We booked this hotel through a Sunweb package tour for our annual ski trip. What a fantastic hotel, firstly close to the ski lift (5 minute walk), rooms excellent, serviced daily. Half board option was fantastic with plenty of choice each evening, fish and salads along with buffet selections superb. Special mention to Hugo the barman who really looked after us during our stay, top bloke who is a credit to the hotel and his profession. Shout out to Zoe in reception who looked after all of our add hock requests. Lovely hotel well worth a visit.

- PaulH-Calpe (10/5): Great service, modern, perfect location for access to slopes - We have 2 young girls so we wanted somewhere close to the slopes so we wouldn’t have to drive , get buses etc. This hotel is a 2 minute walk from the gondola, and Canillo itself is the ideal location for beginners/ children, with easy access to more challenging slopes for those with more experience. The hotel was really clean, our room was a great size,, the staff were all super friendly , and the food was good and varied enough for everyone”s tastes (though paella really shouldn’t be spicy!). We will definitely be booking again.

- Tess1985 (10/5): Close To Ski Lift and Has a Spa!!! - We stayed here in February as we wanted to be nice and near the ski lift. It is a great location for this. It's about a 5 minute walk from it and near lots of ski equipment shops also. The hotel itself is very clean. The staff were absolutely brilliant and they even had a bottle of champagne waiting for us as we were there on honeymoon. Our room had a Jacuzzi bath- Unreal!!! There is a buffet dinner option at €18 per person, which is a fairly decent spread. I'd stay there again for the spa alone. It was a welcome treat to sit in the hydro-pools, saunas and steam rooms in the evenings after a long day skiing/falling down the slopes. They have a locker room in the basement for your equipment so you can store it overnight. It is definitely one for those who are skiers.
- tomrT8812GZ (10/5): Simply Exceptional Experience! - My friend and I are very critical when it comes to service and hotel standards and I very rarely write reviews, especially this long... however, this hotel is exceptional value for money! I cannot understand some of the other comments on the reviews and think most of them are just miserable sods! First impression when you walk in the reception is brilliant. Very neat and modern with a welcoming reception. We had a Twin Room which was immaculately cleaned and had a large room with huge 4pc bathroom. Cleaned daily. The bar was modern and drinks very reasonably priced. Cheaper than the UK! €4 for large beer (pint) €7 for Gin and Lemonade. (Very generous measures). €3 for Large Brandy. Every single member of staff made us feel welcome and nothing to much trouble. I have seen some comments re the cost for the spa. Yes this is a extra but I personally think that is a good idea. The hotel has approximately 70-80 rooms and if it was free then it would constantly be full! It was €15 for 3 days! Anyone that thinks that’s to much, try and find a decent spa for cheaper. Comes with Sauna, Steam Room, Ice Room, pool with several water jets. Separate jacuzzi pool. Food was brilliant. Always a little apprehensive when it comes to Buffett breakfast and Dinner however there was lots of variety and this changed daily. Food cooked to high standard and always left absolutely stuffed! I think of any hotel I have stayed in, this is way up there for best value for money. I hope the hotel reads this review and that they thank all their staff from us for a exceptional experience. Especially the young girl working the bar and the slightly older chap who looks like the manager possibly. If we decide to come back to Andorra skiing, we will definitely be staying again!

- dortes613 (4/5): We were disappointed - Our room is very small and the light is so poor that you hardly can read a book before going to sleep. The minibar contains only two small bottles of water. The food is fair but the restaurant is cold, noisy and with no atmosphere at all. Just like a cafeteria. You have to pay extra to use the spa which was unexpected to us. There is no afterski in Canillo so after a day of skiing we had a drink in the hotels bar and were the only visitors. However, the personel in the reception is very helpful.

The hotel is perfectly located for skiers being only 150m from the cable car. This may be a small hotel circa 40 rooms but this means that you get to know the staff who are all very friendly. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were lovely, I especially liked the option of a different paella each night. My only slight criticism would be to ensure the hot buffet element was a bit hotter. The spa facilities with the hydrotherapy pool, ice room, steam room, sauna and hot tub are well worth the extra after a day's skiing

- nathalie (10/5): Agréable séjour à Canillo - 2 nuits à font d'argent à Canillo. Chambre très spacieuse et très propre avec SDB avec douche italienne et baignoire d'angle très appréciable après une journée de marche. Petit déjeuner assez varié avec viennoiserie, charcuterie, fruits. Personnel très gentil avec un effort de leur part pour parler en français car notre espagnol n'est pas terrible. Indication de pouvoir se garer en zone bleue pour 3€ de 8h à 20h la nuit c'est gratuit au lieu du parking de l'hôtel qui est à 13€ par jour. Ce qui est honnête de leur part de le proposer. Seul bémol ne pas savoir à l'avance qu'il faut des bonnets pour le SPA car 8€ pour le bonnet et la serviette c'est un peu cher mais nous n'y avons pas été par manque de temps. En conclusion si on revient par là nous reviendrons sans hésitation.

Casiers à ski au sous-sol. Parking sous l’hôtel. Espace bien-être en supplément : jacuzzis et piscines sont très chauds ce qui est très agréable. La patinoire se situe à proximité. Nous étions en demi-pension ; les buffets du soir sont variés par contre le matin c’es toujours pareil. Un bémol : on entend trop le bruit de la route même au troisième étage.

- christine (10/5): Mountain break - We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is well located to be able to walk out to local bars and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is definitely worth selecting the slightly higher rate to include breakfast as this was a good selection of food and very convenient timings. We parked in the hotel car park for 13 euros/night which seemed reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
- Magnus (10/5): Bra läge för skidåkning - Vi hade en toppenvecka i mars med bra skidåkning. Lättillgänglig och billig parkering nära. Bra förråd för skidor. Supernära till liften. Personalen var trevlig och frukosten toppen. Buffen på kvällen av växlande kvalite.
- Magnus (8/5): Perfekt närhet till liften - Vi var här för en veckas skidåkning, rummet mycket bra med bra förvaring, generöst badrum med både dusch och badkar. Frukosten 5 av 5, buffén på kvällen varierade men på det hela taget helt ok. Extra plus för spa i källaren, kostade visserligen 7 € men det var för hela vistelsen så helt ok. Lätt att hitta parkering ru t hörnet endast 3€ per dygn. Eget skidförråd till varje rum vilket kändes bra. Mindre än 5 min till kabinen. Kommer gärna tillbaka
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ótimo para esquiar! - Hotel superou minhas expectativas. Fica em frente à Grandvalira! Quarto bom, cama boa e silencioso. Internet muito rápida. Tem vários restaurates e bares bem perto e parada de ônibus do lado. Staff da recepção fala português. Tem guarda ski. Café da manhã muito bom com bastante variedade. Spa ótimo para depois do Ski. Voltarei!
- Béatrice (10/5): Super séjour au ski en famille - Agréable séjour au ski en Andorre en famille . Nous avions une grande chambre familiale avec la chambre enfant séparée par une porte coulissante ; les enfants avaient des lits en forme de voiture, ils étaient ravis. Il y avait une tv pour eux et une pour nous. Grande salle de bains avec douche et baignoire et toilettes séparées. Le personnel du restaurant est très gentil et parle bien français ; à la réception ils ne parlent pas très bien français mais sont gentils. Proximité du télécabine appréciable . Casiers skis au sous sol. Les jacuzzis du spa sont bien chauds. Wifi gratuit et qui fonctionne bien 2 bémols : - hôtel en bord de route, on entend la circulation -parking sous l’hôtel étroit .
- Erik (10/5): Allt var bra - Bodde här fem nätter för att åka skidor i Grandvalirasystemet. Perfekt läge i centrum vid huvudgatan i Canillo ca 200 m från skiduthyrningen och linbanan. Mycket trevligt och bekvämt hotell. Fräscha välplanerade rum, sköna sängar, hjälpsam vänlig personal, härlig frukostbuffe' och som bonus ett bra spa i källaren. Flera bra restauranger i närheten.
- Verified traveler (10/5): really good - Great hotel! The only thing to remember is your earplugs - any talk from the inside area is easily getting thru the doors. Otherwise - perfect!
- Andrew (8/5): Great Location For Canillo Ski Lift - Hotel is located within a 5 minute walk from the ski cable car lift. Breakfast was good with both hot & cold options. An egg counter with chief cooking fresh omelettes to order. Excellent spa with sauna, steam room, cold room & swimming pool/jacuzzi. Note there is a charge per person for the duration of your stay. Room was quite large & very clean, although quite hot for my liking. Wifi was intermittent & quite slow.
- Andy (8/5): good choice in Canillo - We chose this hotel in Canillo as appeared to have good ratings & it was not far from the cable car. Canillo is a relatively small village with half a dozen or so restaurants to choose from for the evenings - a little quieter than Soldeu for sure. The hotel was good as expected - the staff were friendly & appeared to work quite hard - especially the waiting staff for the buffet in mornings & evenings. The breakfast was not bad - enough of everything to choose from. The rooms were decent size & the wifi worked well - a big plus for us as need to work whilst away. The only slight niggle for us were the pillows - long & flat & just not comfortable. Otherwise a pleasant enough stay for our 4 day snowboarding break.
