- barbmA3588NK (10/5): Great Trip with some exceptional service - This was our first time at Hardrock Cancun. We visited from April 29-May 6, 2026. Our family consisted of 2 adults and 4 young adults. We are Hall of Fame members so we had 2 butlers, Jessy and Susie. Jessy was amazing and always checked in to make sure everything was good and that we were having a great time. She arranged a wonderful private dinner for our family with Margarita and Carlos as our servers. She took care of a few issues that arose and made sure we were happy with how things were resolved. She was very attentive to our needs so that our family had an amazing time. We also had Susie. She was great. We had some good conversations about kids and she was very helpful in getting my young adults back out shopping for a second time. She always checked in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly and that we were having a great time. Margarita and Carlos gave great service. They made sure we were all happy and they checked on us and took care of us during this special dinner. The hotel was just big enough for a one week stay. It will be going under renovation in August and I look forward to seeing the updates to the rooms and restaurants. Some restaurants require new floor plans to accommodate people with disabilities-currently too many stairs. The bedrooms have weird configurations with the sinks and mirrors being outside of the shower/toilet area. It’s hard to get ready without disturbing people who are sleeping.

Our Butlers this time were Roberto and Susan (Susie). They went above and beyond to help out our whole family. They made sure all our needs were met and very friendly. We recommend them highly. Our waiters at Frida Carlos and Francisco are always our go to for breakfast because they are great. And of course another reason we go there is the wonderful entertainment, and the people that make it great.

A planned trip to celebrate school vacation and a completed tax season. This trip proved no different. A trip with our two school aged children has always been pointed to " more family friendly " resort locations. The Cancún location has always left the impression of party central for spring beakers and the like. Those options are there should you feel the need to tear a shirt off or embibe a bit too much. This trip was quite relaxing, great day trips/ sunset sailing and a chance for the younger kids to see what all the hype is about the former beach Palace resort. Our Butlers Susy and Jessie ( whom I recalled for a prior trip) handled our request as expected. Service is always great. ( just leave your pissy attitude behind your on vacation). Entertainment crew retained many old faces, Chris I look forward to seeing you in a new role as a butler you'll be great, Johnathan and your staff will be left in good hands. Willy, my family all appreciated the poolside facials and massage. Iran, I know you're looking for this review as I promised I'd write one for you. Spicy margarita with muddled jalapeño is not for the faint of heart. Food, well it hasn't changed in regards to offerings, but the menus do offer variety with house specials over the years. Always good quality. Yeah no Michelin stars here but the food is consistent and very good. Certainly what I would expect from an all inclusive resort. So where's the credit due come into play, well these folks have been operating in a facility that's probably older than myself. And yet they deliver an overall quality experience at a bargain price point. The ownership regards their staff as seen with the longevity of those who remain or are promoted to another location. So if your still reading this novel. Give the folks at Hard Rock Cancún a visit, they will be quite grateful. Drop them a tip while your at it, they work very hard and that's how they make a living. Looking forward to my next trip back in a newly renovated near 850Million dollar refresh coming early fall 2026. These folks got their stuff in order cannot wait for to see what the future holds. My brother and his wife just got married this week and are arriving at the hotel to celebrate their honeymoon. Wanting to make their trip extra special, I reached out in advance, and I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Diego Irigaray, the Front Desk Manager. Diego went above and beyond in a way that truly stood out. Not only did he arrange a room upgrade, but he also prepared a beautiful surprise for their arrival, champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to welcome them as newlyweds. Such a thoughtful and elegant touch. In a time where genuine, personalized service is becoming rare, Diego’s kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to create a memorable experience made all the difference. It’s this level of care that turns a great hotel stay into something truly unforgettable. Thank you, Diego, for making my brother and sister-in-law feel so special at the start of such an important moment in their lives. We are deeply grateful, and this gesture will never be forgotten.

I have been calling the resort for a week and they said to speak to reservations, reservations said to speak with front desk. Front desk sends me to a voicemail that is full and when I call back they said to call Priceline. Priceline says to call the hotel. What a mess and I'm not even there yet.

- AmandaLikestoTravel (8/5): Fun, Short Trip - We decided on a somewhat last minute holiday trip and have stayed at two other Hard Rock resorts and wanted to give this location a try. With it being in Cancun, it was smaller than the others we’d been to but still held up to the Hard Rock brand. One day was really rainy so when everyone was inside, it got a little crowded, but otherwise the size of the resort wasn’t an issue. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed the quality of the restaurants we have gotten familiar with from other locations. Ricardo was our hibachi chef the first night and put on a great show. We returned at the end of the trip for an early dinner and ended up being the only family there so we got a private dinner and show from Jose who was also wonderful. In the evenings, we liked to play games in the lobby bar and Angel took great care of us there. There were activities throughout the day that the kids enjoyed and they liked Dian and Uriel on the entertainment/activities team. Our kids are a little older so they weren’t keen on needing to be checked into and out of the kids’ club area but still went to play one day. It looked nice and like there were fun things to do, but might be geared more towards the younger kids. They liked the pool and being able to play in the waves at the beach. Saul at the pool was attentive in keeping drinks filled. I liked that the beach was a long stretch that you could walk for a while. On our departure day, our third-party transportation company was late and Mario, the bellhop, was able to advise of some other options so we wouldn’t miss our flight and helped us get a cab instead. I was very grateful that he was there to help because I didn’t realize how bad the traffic was that would have put us at the airport late had we waited. All the service was great and it was fun to be at the resort near Christmas to see the decorations and all the poinsettias.

- P8618LNtoddm (10/5): Hard Rock Cancun stay for spring break - Had a great time at the Hard Rock Cancun. The food and service were great. The Presidential suite was very nice. Susy and Jessy were our butlers. They both did an excellent job making sure everything was setup for our meals, pool and beach chairs and anything else we asked. Very friendly and responsive. We also received great service for breakfast at Toro. Wilma served us most days and she was wonderful. Great service and very enjoyable to visist with. We also had chairs in the Hall of Fame area of the pool. Which were very enjoyable. Our server, Irma, was wonderful, very responsive and very enjoyable to visit with. A great trip with relaxing days by the pool, with great service, great food and a very nice room.
- A7610QOtonyt (4/5): Sun lounger carnage - Plenty of positives, however, these are completely overshadowed by the carnage of trying to get a sun lounger each day. It’s requires a 5 am alarm setting and then ‘securing’ your loungers for the day by having to sit there to avoid the staff giving them to other customers who offer them a financial incentive! Once the loungers are secured, the family has to organise a staggered breakfast trip as if we all go together, the loungers will be reallocated to someone else and our belongings removed. I’m sure holidays are meant to be relaxing but this is anything but. The fun does not stop there as after waiting 30 mins for a table for breakfast, you then wait 60 mins for an evening table at one of the restaurants. The hotels response to the lack of sun loungers is to take bribes to source a lounger in use by another person, whereas the obvious solution is to provide more sun loungers. The hotel is nice, albeit a little tired but the farce of sun lounger and delays in eating spoils it completely. I will not be returning with my family.
- sala865 (10/5): Cancun Vacation - As members of Legendary, we have traveled to many of the Hard Rock Resorts. This was our first of many more trips to come to the Hard Rock in Cancún, Mexico. We had a truly fantastic time, even with a few days of windy and “cold” (68F) weather. The highlights of our trip were the ocean and everyone we encountered at the resort. The entire staff was exceptional. They were friendly, professional, helpful, and gracious! If for no other reason, the ocean and the staff are enough to entice us to return, but there are many more reasons! Starting with the pool…the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the brick oven pizza daily and the variety of freshly prepared offerings on different days such as tacos, wings, paella and tasty drinks. We have to acknowledge the exceptional pool side service we received from Fausto, Angel, Irma, Javi and Luis! We also have to give a big shout out to Li the best bartender at the pool. He makes a fabulous “mini beer.” Thanks to all of them our stay was extra special. We had the pleasure of meeting two of the all time best butlers, Hector and Irving…an amazing team! They truly care about providing an exceptional experience for their guests. Individually, they are two of the most professional yet warm and friendly people we have had the pleasure to encounter during our travels. I honestly can’t say enough on their behalf…They went way beyond any expectation a person could have. We look forward to seeing them upon our return!! We have to mention the following people who also went above and beyond to make our stay so amazing: Angel, Oscar and Jonas who took care of everyone at the beach. Mario, the most helpful and friendly bell boy. Mitzi, the concierge, was so friendly and went out of her way to assist us. Luis, another excellent butler, who filled in and assisted for a couple of days. Iran, the wonderful Sommelier, who we saw nightly and Fernando our terrific waiter at Toro. Also, two awesome massage therapists, Liz and Ilya. We highly recommend them! We were treated to a private dinner which was so delicious and we have to give a big thank you to Wilbur the fabulous chef along with servers Trinidad & Felipe and Michelle the coordinator for room service who orchestrated the amazing dinner. They are an amazing team! Overall, we had an exceptionally wonderful trip to the Hard Rock Cancún and are looking forward to our return next February!!
- CarolinaNMD (8/5): Good vacation - We recently stayed for five nights, and overall I would rate the resort a B-. Like most resorts, there were both positives and areas that could use improvement. The beach was absolutely beautiful, and the nightly shows were very enjoyable; definitely highlights of our stay. The live singers were SO good and the African show are a must. Our main disappointment was the food. It was just okay, After staying at Palace Resorts, the difference in quality and flavor was noticeable. Many dishes lacked taste and even the desserts were average at best. The best food was the hibachi. Skip the Italian. Long wait times for just ok food. Customer service was another area that needs attention. While there were a few standout individuals, many staff members seemed disengaged and lacked warmth.and energy. The check-in experience, in particular, was not welcoming. One staff member named Melisa was especially rude and unprofessional. Despite an issue with my daughter's reservation that was clearly the hotel’s fault, there was no acknowledgment or apology. She was not nice at all. As Chairman-level guests, we expected a higher standard of service, which made this even more disappointing. The hotel management needs to rethink having her as one of the first faces that the guests see. This encounter alone made me not want to buy the membership. It was humiliating. That said, we did have some wonderful interactions. Marisol at breakfast in Ciao was truly memorable. She is warm, attentive, and genuine. Look for her when you go! We also really appreciated Susana (“Susie”) from the butler team. She is amazing. Genuine, energetic, "pilas puestas." They represent the level of service the resort should strive for across the board. Overall, our stay was not bad, but there are clear opportunities for improvement that could make a big difference.

- R8715PJlj (10/5): Another Legendary Vacation - We stayed at the Hard Rock Cancun for the second time in March 2026 as Hall of Fame Legendary members. We had a wonderful vacation from start to finish. We were fortunate to have a rockstar butler combination of Jessy and Susy. They went above and beyond to make sure our family had the best experience. We couldn't have had a more accommodating butler team. I also would like to mention Irma took extremely good care of us at the pool. She was a pleasure to see everyday. At breakfast, our Toro server Wilma was also a rockstar. She greeted us with such kindness every morning and made sure our needs were covered. For our dinners at Toro, Marini and Coche were outstanding. Lovely meals served with excellence. We will be back for sure. I'm already missing the staff, sunshine, and the cadillac magaritas.
- Psevanth (10/5): Memorable Stay at a Wonderul Hotel! - My family of five had a blast at this hotel. Fantastic 7-night stay that was fun, easy, cozy, and relaxing. I highly recommend. As a frame of reference we have stayed at all-inclusives in Jamaica, Aruba, and other hotels in Cancun. We have stayed at many beach resorts in Florida, Hawaii and Bahamas as well. Compared to beach hotels, I would rank this as one of the top. The hotels in Hawaii are just better overall. However, amongst all-inclusives, this has been my favorite (again, I've only been to three). Pros: -First and foremost, the entertainment team is amazing. We don't usually do hotel entertainment because it is usually pretty lame. Not these folks. There was something fun going on all the time, especially at night when people were returning from excursions and dinner. They had trivia, karaoke, tequila tasting, poker, dancing, and so much more. The concerts in the theater were really good as well. Beach soccer and beach volleyball. -Beach access is very easy -Food is everywhere and easy to get -Food quality is decent for all-inclusive -Only about 25 minutes from airport -Rooms were big -Alcohol was high quality -Rainy day activities: Music Lab and escape room was fun. My girls did the spa. -The staff is extremely helpful. Every aspect from check in, bellhops, waiters, concierge. Everyone really cares to help and make you happy. Cons: -There are hot tubs in the middle of every room. Found that weird. -If you book the "lagoon view" it overlooks a roof. The lagoon is far away. -Only one pool. No jacuzzis. -No watersides or kid areas in the pool

Completely unacceptable. This is the worst all-inclusive hotel we’ve stayed at. Do not bring children here. The food is the same every day — morning, lunch and night — and very poor quality. No kids’ food at all (no nuggets or chips), and even basic drinks taste off. My kids (4, 9, 11) ended up eating bread and cucumbers on the first night. The “à la carte” restaurants are just the same buffet food served differently, and nearly impossible to book — we had to wait days. We ate out 4 times in a 10-day stay because the food was so bad. What all inclusive restaurants don't offer themed food nights, a kids section with basic fries and nuggets? The apple juice tasted like scented flowers... The hotel is outdated, lifts are slow/broken, and there is only one main pool. Sunbeds are gone by 7am unless you tip or are a member. Kids’ entertainment is basically non-existent. Rooms were poor — yellow-coloured water in the bath/jacuzzi, so we didn’t use it once, we had two rooms both rooms were exactly the same, shower pressure was poor not even remotely acceptable pressure. Staff are friendly, but that doesn’t make up for how bad the hotel is overall. This is not a 5-star hotel — 3–4 at best. Very expensive for what it is. We were there during spring break and it felt more like an adults party hotel. I’ve been to Mexico 4 times — Secrets The Vine Cancun next door is far better, and Royalton hotels are also much better. Food quality and taste was 0 , literally identical breakfast/lunch/dinner every single day not a single change over 10 days not the slightest, doesn't even offer chips at all inclusive or a kids section. The worst thing about the hotel is the food. Noteworthy detailsOutdated and left the hotel starving, couldn't wait to get home from this place. Been Mexico 4 times all 5 start hotels, this is not a 5 star hotel its a 3-4 at a best. Turkey is 10 times better than this for a 5 hour flight and half the costs, it absolutely schools this hard rock hotel in Mexico, don't waste your time at this hotel it doesn't get 5 star all inclusive hotels like other companies do, avoid it.

Highlights included the lively atmosphere, ocean view from almost everywhere, volleyball games going on all the time and the newly renovated rooms. Buffet was good, not great, but the à la carte restaurants exceeded my expectations both in decor, service and food quality. The pool cafe also made amazing burgers, fries and daily bbq. One big negative, pool temperature was far too cold. Need to heat the water this time of year.

I probably wouldn’t have booked here had I had time to research as our trip corresponded with college break which made it very busy. With only one pool it was a bit difficult to get seats but I must say Tacho and his crew did their very best to accommodate us daily. They are friendly and courteous and great at their jobs! Food is outstanding and entertainment nightly was very good. Room was a bit small with no real space to put our belongings away so we had to live out of our suitcases which was a minor inconvenience. The hotel is closing for renos so I expect it’ll be much nicer when it reopens. They left birthday cake in the room for my partner. The sargassum was bad on the beach while we were there but I think it’s bad everywhere in the Caribbean this year. I would go back for the food and the service and the cleanliness!

I met be a little privilleged as I'm Hall of Fame Platinum member so I get access to the islands at the pool and a lot of perks. My butlers were amazing, the beach is great. They replace the bali bed at the beach from nice wooden ones to cheap metal frames and squeeze them together.

- jkotlarz (8/5): Fun upbeat vibe in Cancun provided by a Fabulous Staff - We enjoy visiting the all- inclusive Hard Rock Resorts throughout Mexico and Punta Cana. Each has its own vibe. Cancun is upbeat and lively, great for couples or spring breakers. The food at this location was fair, only 2 of the 4 elevators were operational, hence I can not give it a 5-star rating (3.5 - 4). That being said, I would give the staff a 5-star review. The staff is beyond amazing, helpful, friendly, and respectful! Josue at Ciao couldn't have been nicer. He did a great job. Rosario at Freida for the lunch buffet was on top of the service, and knew what you wanted even before you asked! We were celebrating the birthday of a special friend, our Butler, Jessy went above and beyond to make the night super memorable with a special dinner, strawberries, champagne, and more. Our server, Margareta and her team did an incredible job. The list of amazing people continues. Hector at the Freida breakfast was great. Jesus at the pool was always right there when needed. Jesus checked in continually to make sure we had everything. Benjamin at Ciao was yet another waiter who stood out as being delightful. Finally, Jessy, our main butler, was incredible. It seems she gets joy from making people smile. It felt like every time we turned around, she had done something else to make our visit even more special. She seemed to work mostly alone, but on her day off. Luis really stepped up to the plate because we had a little issue at the spa, but he instantly fixed it. Even though there was a small glitch, Liz at the spa was fabulous! The entertainment is great! There is an outdoor theater that is a great place to see some awesome shows. The lobby had games and DJ music every night. During the day, live music was found around the pool. They had foam parties and a Cirque-style pool show. We had a wonderful visit, thanks to an outstanding staff, and of course, Jessy.

- 295kristines (10/5): Good value for money - I don't understand the bad reviews on here at all. We had four wonderful days and the staff were very kind and always eager to help. We arrived at 2:30 pm and were able to check in right away, and after we received our keys, Karlos took us to a desk and showed us how to connect to the WiFi, went over the map of the property, explained all the activities and how to use the APP to make restaurant reservations. He really told us everything we needed to know and it's so efficient to have someone do that beyond the check in desk so that you don't hold up the check in process for others. Our bags were delivered to our room in 5 minutes, room service was always VERY fast (20-30 minutes). The staff were constantly asking me how my stay was and if there was anything they could do to make it better. At one point we were out of conditioner and they brought a big bottle of conditioners and extra towels very quickly. The beach and pools are lovely. The property is just slightly dated, you could tell it's not a brand new facility, but everything was well maintained and clean. Be sure to use the app to book restaurant reservations. If you do it the day before you won't have a problem getting a reservation. We will definitely come back!

She took great care of us. She truly is the best! Jonas at the pool was absolutely wonderful! He provided excellent service throughout our days at the pool! Andrés at Frida was our server at breakfast each morning. Our coffee cups were always full. Andrés is such a friendly young man who provided exceptional service! We had the pleasure of being served by Isauro twice at Toro. Isauro gave excellent recommendations and provided phenomenal service. The team at Cafetto is wonderful! I would visit a couple times a day for coffee or snacks and they were all so friendly and run the cafe so efficiently. Paola helped me today. 😊 I wish I got the rest of their names.

The food was good, the rooms were clean and never ran out of hot water even at the prime dinner shower rush, iykyk! The resort is busy and staff are very accommodating. I do have a few shout outs. Yeni at the pool was amazing, she kept us hydrated and happy all week. Javi on the beach went above and beyond, his personality was what made him stand out!! Im only real complaint about this resort is in 10 Days I never once saw someone sweep around the pool or vacuum inside the pool. We were pulling cup and napkins etc out everyday. The sand was like we were on the beach. All and all cant complain it was a beautiful week!

They were attentive and ALWAYS available. They took care of reserving our chairs by the pool every morning and making sure our dinner reservations were scheduled and always where we wanted to go. Hector had to deal with a situation one morning with the chairs and he did not leave until the situation was resolved. That was greatly appreciated. We loved our evening chats with Luis and that he loved our buckeyes as much as we do!!! Our room was always stocked with everything we needed. Their communication was top notch. They were great!! Many thanks to both of them!! Also, the wait staff and bartenders were top notch, Q our bartender at the smash bar every evening was a ton of fun and so attentive. We loved Aldo and Emanuel at the pool working the dive bar. Carlos was our waiter by the pool and was great!! They all made our stay absolutely amazing and we can’t wait to return!!

They treat you like a rock star, legit, and the resort is your stage. The real game changers are the staff. Everyone pays attention to detail, every detail. Our butlers were like rock star managers. Luis and Hector took care of anything we needed. From the simplest of requests to some out of the ordinary, everything was courteous and efficient. We felt like the both Hector and Luis are examples of those who love what they do and only want their customers (families) to have the greatest experience possible. I would venture to say any true rock star would be better with either of these guys on their team. I was upset, but it ended up being the best mess up! We have been members since 2012 and I think this was one of the best trips we have ever been on! The food was amazing and the entertainment was the best we have ever seen. Our butlers Luis and Hector were amazing! They took care of everything for us, including scheduling dinners and massages and also getting poolside chairs for us every morning! Couldn't have asked for better service from them! The bartenders were also awesome! Aldo and Emanuel were at the pool and Q was at the smash bar. If we needed something they took care of it. I would highly recommend visiting this Hardrock!

The facilities were always clean and well maintained, and the quality and variety of food and drinks were outstanding. Every restaurant we visited offered delicious meals with great presentation and flavor. The pool service was excellent, room service was prompt and reliable, and the attention we received in every area of the resort was top-notch. A very special thank you to (Food related) Executive Chef Isaac Esparza Rodriguez , Graciela/Gray, Alma, Nestor, Peewee, Gever, Miranda, peeWee, Jacqui, Paola, Angel, Silviano and Fausto; Vitaliano who greets us when we arrive at the resort, and waves to us tearfully when we leave, and concierges Blanc, Raul and Leo! Your hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care for guests truly made a difference in our vacation. You all went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. For the past couple of years, the resort has been in full glow-up mode—renovations, refreshes, and restaurant reinventions everywhere thanks to the visions of Chef Isaac! One big change had been at ZEN, which shifted from à la carte to strictly hibachi tables. I was crushed… until earlier this year when they brought back a few à la carte tables—YAY! That meant I could once again savor my beloved Pad Thai!!! As for the other restaurants, the menus evolve every year—so our “favorite” spot changes right along with them! We’ve fallen in love at different times with Ciao (Italian), Toro (Steakhouse), and La Isla (Seafood)—each one having its moment in the spotlight. Because I require gluten-free foods, Frida, the buffet restaurant, isn’t usually my go-to because I’m cautious about cross-contamination. But during their special Mexican fiesta, I was able to carefully choose a few safe dishes—and truly enjoy them! Breakfast is buffet-only, served at both Frida and Toro. I definitely preferred Toro—it felt easier and more comfortable to request a made-to-order omelet or a simple Greek yogurt with fruit. The entertainment staff also deserves recognition for keeping the energy high at the pool and delivering fantastic nightly entertainment. They made every day fun and every evening memorable! My family, known as the Tios, enjoyed every moment of our stay. Hard Rock has an amazing team that made our vacation both fun and relaxing. We can’t wait to return next year!
- Frenemies (2/5): VERY DISAPPOINTED in the Hard Rock side of Palace Resorts - I am a Palace Premier (and Elite) member with Imperial weeks left so we decided to check out this property and were told we would get two day passes if we went to their sales meeting. We bought a small pass for $400 which allows us to buy 4 nights later for an additional $1600. When it came to the day passes, they refused to give them to us because we didn’t have our IDs yet had no issue taking our $400 with just Apple Pay. We basically were just stuck dealing with this nonsense for an hour before we just decided to head back to Le Blanc. We were treated rudely. Their property is dirty and badly needing repair. Nobody greets you warmly. Nothing there would have you think that this had the standards of Palace. We will go visit their Unica near Talum with our $2k voucher but we are REALLY disappointed in our first experience with the Hard Rock side of our Palace Premier. Would recommend you visit Moon Palce, Sun Palace, or Le Blanc and avoid the Hard Rocks. Maybe I can give a better review next year but our experience was lower than even ONE STAR.

It’s the staff that makes our trip, Jessy our Butler is the Best! She is always going above and beyond to make sure everything is going good with our stay! From our special dinner to having lounge chairs set up everyday, arrangements for spa and dinner. We lov returning to see Jessy, Willie and Fernando, Que, Angle our bartenders. - Shellu1123 (6/5): Fun but Outdated - Hard Rock Hotel Cancun I recently stayed at Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, and while we had a fun time overall, the resort definitely has some areas that need attention. The Downsides Rooms Need Renovation The rooms are showing their age. The décor feels dated, and certain fixtures and finishes could use updating. For a resort in this price range, I expected a fresher, more modern feel. A renovation would go a long way in improving the overall guest experience. Pool Seating Issues One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of lounge chairs at the pool. If you didn’t get down early, it was nearly impossible to find a chair. Guests were reserving seats very early in the morning, leaving limited options for everyone else. Beach Setup Challenges Getting umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach was also difficult. There simply weren’t enough to accommodate guests comfortably, and staff seemed overwhelmed trying to manage requests. Additionally, the beach could use more consistent cleanup with seaweed and debris were noticeable during our stay. Limited Nightlife Options For a “Hard Rock” property, the nightlife felt underwhelming. There’s only one main dance floor, and aside from the pool bar, there’s essentially just one other bar area to gather in the evenings. It made the resort feel smaller and less lively than expected. Food Was Just OK The food was decent but not exceptional. There was variety, but the quality didn’t consistently match what you might expect from a higher-end all-inclusive. Some meals were enjoyable, but others were pretty average. ⸻ The Positives Friendly, Hardworking Staff The staff truly stood out. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. They worked hard and maintained positive attitudes, which made a big difference. Unlimited Food & Drinks One of the best perks is the unlimited food and beverages. Whether at the restaurants, bars, or through room service, you could order as much as you wanted at any time. Room service was convenient and dependable…a major plus for an all-inclusive stay. Fun Atmosphere Despite the limitations, the overall vibe was upbeat and social. It’s easy to meet people, and the entertainment team keeps things going during the day at the pool. ⸻ Final Thoughts Hard Rock Hotel Cancun has great potential thanks to its prime beachfront location and excellent staff. However, the resort would benefit greatly from room renovations, better pool and beach chair management, improved beach maintenance, and expanded nightlife options. If you’re looking for unlimited food and drinks with friendly service in a lively setting, it can still be a good time — just go in knowing it’s not quite as polished as it could be.
- 463canl (10/5): Great first Cancun experience - First experience with Cancun and it was great. Enjoyed the restaurants and pool side food offerings. Drinks constantly flowing. Booked via Chase travel portal which aggregates thru Expedia so we were given VIP/Legendary wrist bands. This gave access to less crowded adult only pool and bar on a different floor from the main pools. Rooms were clean and ocean view is a must! The hotel gym was well equipped. Good amount of restaurants and we never waited long to be seated. The cafe could get a little bit busy but service always made up for it. Later in the day the cafe serves ice cream in addition to the sandwiches, salads, fruit, and pastries that they stock all day long. Staff interactions always friendly and more than helpful. If you go during the summer, pack Damp Rid to help with condensation in the rooms. I did leave the curtains open our first day and everything was wet in the room when we returned. Staff came quickly and squeegeed dry our floors and replaced anything that we asked. Very accommodating. At checkout we were approached for a Paradise Pass offer for a discounted future stay. I highly recommend this as it covers all Hard Rock properties along with UNICO and the new AVA Cancun.
- Roshni79 (4/5): Not what I expected from a Hard Rock Hotel - I was very disappointed with our stay. While I had high expectations based on brand reputation, my experience was unfortunately marked by a series of service failures and poor customer management. Summary of Issues: Arrival Experience: No welcome drink was offered, and we had to request water after a long journey. . There was no mention of room credit available per day and was only mentioned to us when booking a spa treatment on day 4 of our stay. Room Allocation: My booking was for a lagoon view, and I was placed in Room 829, which overlooked a wedding party with loud music. After a long journey (travelling almost 12 hours with a 3 year old child), I requested a room change only to be told by the front desk that if it helped the music would end at 10pm if I wanted to stay in the room which would have been 2 hours later from our arrival. I said that this was not an option as I have a young child who was exhausted and we were moved to Room 323, which had no view and overlooked a roof. Housekeeping: Rooms were not cleaned until late afternoon (around 3pm), and hair was left in the shower daily. Restaurant Service: Staff were generally unfriendly, except at Zen. The seafood restaurant was closed for the entire stay, and no information was provided at check-in about dining options or breakfast. We had to rely on the app, which we were not informed about. Ciao Restaurant: Service was poor—no bread was served, and staff were unhelpful in assisting with food options for children. Waiter Service by Pool: Aside from the first day, there was no waiter service by the pool to order drinks during our stay. Late Check-Out: I was quoted $120 for late check-out, while a friend was charged $90. Additionally, I was asked to move rooms because someone had specifically requested mine, which seemed implausible given its lack of view. Level 3 Facilities: We later discovered that Level 3 has a snack bar and pool open to all guests, yet this was never mentioned at check-in or during our stay. This lack of communication further contributed to the feeling of being poorly informed and unsupported. These issues significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience, especially while traveling with a young child. Given the overall experience, I cannot recommend Hard Rock Hotel Cancun to others and am unlikely to return to this or any other Hard Rock property in the future. I shared my comments and disappointment with Hard Rock Management and yet to receive any formal acknowledgement.
- 988hilaryk (10/5): Great hotel for a winter getaway - We really enjoyed our stay at the HRC. We enjoyed the pool and nightly entertainment that was provided. Our butlers Luis and Hector were amazing. I broke my ankle while on an excursion. They were able to quickly help me get a knee scooter and a walking boot delivered to the hotel. Their attention and concern was much appreciated. We really enjoyed Ciao and our waiterHector. He was attentive, funny and kept us well fed.

Took care of evey need. They even bent over backwards the last day when I couldn't find my wallet 1 hour before check out.

We went to Ciao for my daughter’s birthday and the service has been excellent. Josue and Alberto were taking care of us. Alexis was out chef, the food was incredible! Julieta was the host. We are grateful of the hard working staff. Looking forward to coming back !

She and the rest of the staff are wonderful hosts. Hardrock Cancun has great food and service. Pool entertainment is located at one end of an infinitity pool. Other end is more relaxed. Sit at the pool and listen to the music or relax on the spectacular beach... great all inclusive resort.... Jo

The team at the Hard Rock was very accommodating for our needs and our events space. Everything was set up thoroughly for us and the hotel made a great location for our international teams to come together. We specifically had a great event staff supporting us for our farewell party. Jhoanna Danilu Arceo Chan was our event Customer Success Manager at The Hard Rock and she was very communicative and offered us many options. She helped us source the right details for our event party and it went off without a hitch. Our team had so much fun and everyone was very happy. We are thankful for the team and their service to make our business event successful. I would suggest The Hard Rock Cancun for others looking for a great location and venue.

- emilybP30BL (10/5): Perfect adult family all-inclusive resort! Beautiful beaches! - Went for 4 nights with my family in February and it was perfect!! Roberto and Luis were our assigned staff members and they did fantastic jobs. They were able to help us with anything we needed or wanted (reserved beds on the beach, booked meals and spa treatments, and offered wonderful suggestions for activities throughout our stay. The service here is best I’ve ever had a resort. The only tiny downside is that the rooms are very humid (no vents/fans in the bathroom) and there’s only 2 tiny drawers to keep your belongings. We will definitely be going back!

- 868malindas (8/5): You will love the beach - We are Legendary Vacation Club members- We vacationed at Hard Rock Cancun from Jan 30- Feb 6, 2026 in celebration of our 29th Anniversary. From the moment we were picked up and dropped off at the resort, we felt welcomed and ready to create memorable experiences. A few things we enjoyed begins with that beautiful beach with drink and food service. Although everyone we encountered was very courteous we would like to take this opportunity to mention a few employees such as Jesus, Corale, Mitzi and Louis that celebrated us. The door decoration and daily treats was a nice touch and very much appreciated. Poolside Javier, German, Arzeta kept the drinks coming and are very kind. The entertainment water show was very nice. The band tribute to Bob Marley was excellent and welcomed as it occurred on our last day and was the perfect send off! We did try all the restaurants- Frida, Isla, Zen, Ciao, Toro, and Pizzeto. Unfortunately breakfast and dinner at Toro was the least of our favorite as it seemed the staff rarely engaged us and the food was just okay. The breakfast at Frida had adequate food selections but we found the bacon and hash browns were slightly overcooked. The omelet and fruit station is all I really care about and Diana made those omelets the way we requested. Pizzeto pizza will not get any complaints from us. Whether we ordered at the counter, poolside, or room service, it was always hot and delicious. Zen was exactly what you'd expect from hibachi with a theatrical chef which we enjoyed and would recommend. The hotel is showing signs of aging but is scheduled for renovations later in the year. We are looking forward to revisiting again.

- PeggyJ137 (10/5): Hard Rock Cancun - Hard Rock Cancun – January 2026! This was our second trip to HR Cancun in 13 months, this time for a week. We met our travel friends from Wisconsin and had another excellent vacation with them. Weather was a bit iffy the first couple of day but then the sun came out and it was awesome. Our chairs were saved for us daily and that was where we were attentively served. One thing we generally enjoy at Hard Rock destinations is developing a relationship with the pool concierges and servers. Willy always set up our chairs and loungers with towels every day and was always so happy, pleasant and personable. Yeni was our pool server along with Jesus most days and we had fantastic service. The resort was the busiest we’ve ever seen it at the beginning of the week, but that did not affect service quality. The pool supervisor Mariano was also so helpful, jumping in helping set up the towels and with the food. We ate at all of the restaurants. I would say Toro and Ciao were my favorites. We also went to Isla, and Frida enjoying everything! Had some dishes I had not had before, and I am glad I tried some dishes out of my comfort zone and found I really enjoyed them. We always visit the spa for massages. The spa at HR Cancun sorely needs some tender love and care. No hydrotherapy or any locker rooms or bathrobes to put on. You just go from a room into your massage room, and you change in there. My understanding is that this resort will be closed shortly and the rooms will be redone (having your room key on your wrist is money) and they will be overhauling the entire spa and putting in hydrotherapy. Can’t wait to see this. Finally, our butler team of Jenni and Irving provided outstanding and consistent service. They stayed in constant contact throughout the trip, hunting us down in restaurants and at the pool to make sure we had information on the day's events and dealing with numerous scheduling changes. They really pulled the trip together for us and made a huge contribution to our memorable vacation and desire to return soon, when we will certainly ask for this team again!

As parents, it’s not always easy to relax when traveling with a child, but this team made it effortless. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, professional, and genuinely excited to welcome our daughter. A huge shoutout to Andy, Abby, Ale, and Fer, they went above and beyond in every way. They didn’t just supervise, they truly cared. Our daughter felt comfortable immediately, and by the end of the trip, she couldn’t wait to go back each day. The activities were fun, creative, and well organized, and the space was clean and safe. What really stood out was the team's attentiveness. They learned her personality, made her feel special, and kept us updated so we felt confident she was in great hands. Because of Andy, Abby, Ale, and Fer, our daughter had an amazing vacation of her own, and we were actually able to relax knowing she was happy and safe. That peace of mind is priceless. If you’re traveling with kids, the Kids Club alone is a reason to choose Hard Rock Cancun. We’re incredibly grateful for this team and can’t wait to come back!

It's a small resort a little older facility but always welcoming vibe and beautiful beach. ~our room is a deluxe ocean front. Real nice and pleasant to wake up in the morning seeing the beauty of the ocean and warm and nice breeze each morning. Stayed for 16 days and we did enjoy, twas a little longer stay but worth it. Our room has been cleaned every other day by the wonderful workers there. ~since we stayed a little longer than usual, we utilize the room service quite a bit. Did not feel that we have to rush eating at different restaurants every dinner. Food has been amazing ever since! ~had a little incident on our last night of stay. Husband had to be rushed in the hospital because he acquired a gut infection somehow somewhere. With the help of the staff in the resort, from the manager on duty, medic, resort's doctor, butlers; we're able to go to the hospital no problem. We had to extend our stay because husband had to stay in the hospital overnight to feel better and to be able to fly back home safe. ~Shout-out to our Butlers Héctor and Victor! We'll ask for them two again when we come back to Cancún! Always there and available when we needed help. Thank you, thank you. I just hope there were more and different activities/shows. Overall! Great vacation! Hope this review helps!
