- Valerie (6/5): - Our priorities were proximity to a Metro transit hub on the Rive Gauche and to Gare du Lyon, as well as an elevator and a kitchenette. The afternoon and night staff were attentive and pleasant. The hotel housekeeper was excellent. The daytime front desk staff (middle-aged gentleman) had plenty of excuses to not respond to our needs during our visit. I looked up the Hudson induction cooktop on YouTube to figure out how to use it. Unlock it by pressing key icon for several seconds if it shows “Lo” after you turn it on. The shower floor is not separate from the bathroom floor, with no shower curtain, so it takes some skill to not get the whole bathroom wet when using the shower. The room heating controls cannot be adjusted. The terrace in the hotel photo is probably only accessible by one of the hotel rooms!

Di fronte all'hotel ci sono una farmacia e un supermercato,dotato anche di cibi gluten free. A 200 m autobus e metro, un buon bar e panetteria. Siamo stati veramente bene e abbiamo potuto cucinare comodamente in stanza. Per chi ha problemi di allergie è un'ottima soluzione. Quartiere tranquillo anche di sera. Personale cortese, sorridente e disponibile.

- THOMAS (8/5): Hotel OK pour visiter Paris mais relativement cher - Hotel confortable et pratique, calme, à 5 min à pied d'une station de métro et de lignes direct pour rejoindre Paris centre. Accueil moyen selon les personnes... En revanche, SDB avec odeur d'humidité qui a impregné les linges de douche.. Dans la suite familiale, un rideau occultant serait le bienvenu plutôt qu'un simple rideau transparent pour séparer les 2 coins nuit.

We would recommend this hotel, due to covid procedures were different to usual but the hotel managed well. Parking is very easy to use and find. Hotel is average size for Pairs given the price it’s good value for money

Même dans l entrée alors que nous sommes obligés d utiliser un digicod pour rentrer dans l hôtel du fait qu il n y a pas de réception durant le période covid. Ce n est pas normal

Geräusche aus dem Nebenzimmer zu gut zu hören...Zwischentür dahin dichtete nicht, Lichtschein aus dem Nebenzimmer war zu sehen. Ansonsten war das Zimmer sehr ruhig und mit kleinem Herd und Kühlschrank gut ausgestattet (was man wür 200,-- Euro die Nacht aber auch erwarten darf...ist aber eben Paris). Guter Anschluss an U-Bahn. Sehr gut: Autoparkplatz in 100 Meter Nähe im Preis inbegriffen!!!

- Emma (6/5): Meille rähistiin kun olimme maksaneet - Hotellin sijainti hyvä, helppo liikkua metrolla. Hotelliin EI kuulunut lentokenttäkuljetus kuten sivustolla mainitaan. Kolmen hengen huoneessa ei myöskään ollut parveketta, kuten sivustolla mainitaan. Kun olimme aamuyöllä lähdössä lentokentälle, hotellin respan työntekijä suuttui meille ja alkoi sähistä, että aulan vessaa ei saa käyttää tai muuten hotellissa herätään eikä aulassa saa puhua. Tämä tietenkin sen jälkeen kun olimme maksaneet laskun. Surkeaa asiakaspalvelua.

The person named Olivier who was working at the time of check in at the reception treated us really badly and called police on us.When i booked the hotel,it was stated on the confirmation letter that we have free parking,nothing was said that reservation needed.when we arrived at the hotel,person named above was extremely rude and wouldnt even offer us alternative option to park our car.We asked for hotel manager and he said i am in charge here.After an hour of arguing and waiting for police,eventually a collegue arrived and let us park our car in the garage under the hotel.We waisted so much time and it costed us so much stress and money,as we had tickets booked and we lost it all.Also havent received any apology from this person named Olivier,who was extremely rude and made us feel unwelcomed .Our children were tired after 6 hours of driving from London and waiting in a car for another hour until his colleague solved the situation. I hope no one else will have to go through this horrible experience and stress.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small, friendly hotel in a relatively quiet part of Paris. It was easy to get to central Paris on the metro and it took between 20-45 minutes to get where we wanted to go, depending on the destination. The free parking meant this was great value for money. We didn't pay for the breakfast but it was only 4 euros for coffee, juice and a pastry. When we went the air conditioning was broke and this wasn't fixed for the whole of the 3 nights we were there which was a shame. The staff were friendly and polite however and the room kept clean.

Close enough to all the major attractions if you can use the subway, far more reasonable then staying downtown. Lots of unique restaurants around the hotel that are also reasonably priced.

Not quite sure as to what €3.74 city tax was which was taken out of the €50 deposit I gave to park the car ? Overall the room was clean and tidy and the overnight sleep was comfortable...

- Kuo-Chang (10/5): A wonderful stay - Great staff, clean and comfortable room. Asked a few questions on-line before the trip and got he answer rapidly. Very useful kitchen as we are in family tour. The bathroom is much bigger than expectation and very good. Supermarket just cross the street, and a lot of restaurants near-by. Convenient Metro and Bus. Will come back again in my next Paris trip.
- Shin-ichiro (8/5): テラス付きの405号室♪ - オーナーはこちらの意思を敬意を持って伝えれば、出来る限り対応してくれました。雇われてるフロントマンだと、微妙な対応もあるかもです。 毎日清掃サービスあり、ベットメイキングも問題ありませんでした。 キッチン用品は、フライ返しとおたま1つずつ、スプーンフォーク3セット、26cmフライパンと30cm鍋のみで、お皿は大中小3枚ずつ、コーヒーカップ3つ、グラス大小2つずつと最低限でした。 冷蔵庫も小さな冷凍庫と野菜庫もあり。 室内のリノベーションは剥がれたり不備が見られたものの、生活には支障はありませんでした。床は板張りの基本土足なので砂っぽい感じはあります。 405号室(最上の5階部分)はテラスがあり見晴らしも良かったです。

We were thankfully able to get our full refund without any hassle and the front desk lady was very nice and helped us find a new hotel to stay at for our remaining two nights. But bed bugs, that’s all I can say.
- Verified traveler (6/5): you could hear clearly from next door - The room was spacious and generally clean. The only problem is the layout of the rooms as ours was connected to another room. There was just a door separating our room and the connecting room. I could actually see if the light of the connecting room was on or not and could hear clearly everything as well. Definitely not an idea place for staying.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Skip It - Extremely didsapointed in my choice to stay here. I do not recommend the area unless you’re directly needing to be there. For the price the hotel was a joke, breakfast is cereal only and priced heafitily, the room I paid for was half the size advertised and was an adjoining room which I was not informed of. The bed was comfortable enough but the air conditioning very faint. Overall it’s a 2 Star hotel at the very best. Do not stay here, there are hundreds of MUCH better choices, do NOT waste your money as I did. Overpriced to say the least, skip it.

- Hugo (8/5): One of the better hotels in the 13th - I'm based out of Paris a few days a week on project work and have stayed in a good 20 hotels there recently. This place has an odd feel about it and the walls are a bit thin but the room was pleasant and came with a kitchenette area, as well as, bizarrely, a 'triple bed'. Area decent (sleepy 13th) and a few good restaurants nearby.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Far from expected - When we arrived on Friday (3 people), the hotel receptionist provided us a room with air conditioning broken. After 5 hours we got a fan (temperatures above 35 C- 95 F inside the room) as a temporally solution. Wi-Fi didn't work either. By the end of the day they told us that maintenance don't provide any service/reparations during the weekend "including Friday". Around 3 am after many phone calls, the hotel provided an extra room (smaller) with AC to spend the rest of the nigh until they will finally solve the problems during the morning. The deal was to keep both rooms for the night because the second room was equipped for 2 persons only. However on Saturday new staff came and locked the access to my original room. After hours of back and forward we were definitely moved to the smaller room mentioned without any kind of compensation. Kitchen wasn't fully equipped either and general conditions weren't as shown in the website pictures. At the end I pay for a 3 persons room while I receive a 2 person room, and definitely we lost a lot of time dealing with the staff because they weren't able to provide a quick or good solution. I didn't move to another hotel because is July and everything was booked.
- John (6/5): Disappointed - I was quite disappointed with this hotel, even though the Expedia travelers recommend it. It was described with rooms with balcony, but instead I got room without balcony facing very, very noisy street. Matrass was uncomfortable. Facilities leaking and clogged. Internet was not working 90% of the time.
- Emil (8/5): Great hotel, but with a few hiccups - We stayed for three nights, the three of us, in a room on the 4th floor. This was like a small apartment, very nice, with a kitchenette and a large balcony (it is a shame that we were there in January). Overall a very good value for money, but .... Some problems were annoying. For example, the heating did not work - and, obviously, this is known to the staff, since immediately after complaining we were provided with an electric radiator. Wi-fi did not work in the room for most of the time, although it was fine down at the reception. And, as the case often is, there was not a single TV programme available in a language other than French, although numerous other TV channels appear to exist - but there was no reception (somebody forgot to pay the subscription fee, maybe?).
- Alex (8/5): - The bedding and blankets were excellent - heavy quality. The heat seemed to go off after a few hours. So in the morning getting out of that bed was the most difficult thing in the world. The shower was also very nice and the facilities were nice kept and cleaned.
- Viktoria (6/5): Nice hotel, but issues with customer care - This was a nice little hotel with small rooms. We arrived before noon and were able to check in. The rooms are quite small but have everything needed including a kitchen with stove top and fridge, microwave, pots, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. We ended up moving into a bigger corner room with a large balcony. The bed was comfortable. Bedding, etc. felt clean. Overall the room could be cleaned more thouroughly, but it was OK. The only problem with this specific room was that the whole bathroom served as the shower... there was no door or curtain around the shower corner. This resulted in having to walk in water after we showered and wanted to use the sink or toilet. The smaller room we saw had a bathtub. Customer service was a mixed experience. We could check in early which was great and we were switched into the bigger room quickly. However, we were not informed about a problem with the antenna which could only be fixed by accessing it from our balcony. We were resting on the balcony when two men walked into our room as we had not heard them knocking. This uncomfortable situation could have been easily avoided by talking to us beforehand and informing us about what was going to happen. The repair men did not speak English and we did not know why they were there, yet they proceeded getting up on the roof. The neighborhood was ok. The metro station about 5 mins walk. There is also a food store right across from the hotel.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for small groups of adults/family - We booked a room for 3 adults for a few days and extended. The hotel itself is clean, just a little worn from use from prior stays. The staff speak English and were very accommodating. The free wifi was plentiful when we stayed. The kitchenette was wonderful, being able to cook your own meals cut costs. I suggest you book ahead of time, rooms fill up quickly during the start of peak seasons. We had a favorable fluke as the time we stayed here, it was sunny all day in late April. The room we occupied had access to an outdoor balcony space, it was very cozy. Very affordable compared to other options in the area. It's close to metro station Tolbiac on the 7 line. All the tourist attractions are within reach with a Navigo Decourte pass, which we got. Giving access to all 1-5 metro zones.

- Daniel (8/5): Room to cook! - Stayed four nights. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Booked the advertised room for one, but it could easily accommodate two. Good facilitites including a flat screen TV, although wi fi access did not work . Ther is a safe, two burner electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Large sink but little space to drain washing up. Nice quiet, small hotel with only about 6 rooms on each of four floors
- Ger (10/5): Great hotel for this price range. - This hotel is the best we have stayed in in Paris for this price range. It is easy to locate and very close to the well linked metro line 7. The rooms were a big surprise as they were spacious (for Paris) new modern yet tasteful.All the staff we encountered were polite, friendly and helpful.Tissues in the bathroom would have been a nice extra touch. If hotel maintains this standard it's a great place to stay and we have stayed in a few in Paris.
- R (2/5): Very bad assistance And mistake of the reception. - The room is Clean And confortable. The reception is not even able to talk in English and because of this we had to pay 100 extra euros apart of the booking wiTh Expedia. When I asked why these extra money they said that even if was a mistake of the receptionist we had to pay! I would not come back and recommend to anybody at all . Breakfast expensive compared of what they offer and we had to ask to have more food because the table was quite empty. We are very easy going travellers but it is mandatory I think have someone in the reception able to talk a language which is not just French . The position of the hotel is good just for the tube which is close but the area is not attractive. Apart of a lovely boulangerie round the corner with a very lovely staff and amazing patisserie

- Lisa (8/5): Highly recommended for single female travellers! - Hotel Ambre is a great little place to stay in Paris! While not directly in the centre of the city, the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Tolbiac metro station which takes you to the Louvre in a 15 minute ride. There are cafés, a grocery store and a bakery within a 5 minute walk. The staff at the front desk are helpful, friendly and converse in English easily. My room was small, which is to be expected in Paris, with a tiny kitchenette. Although the hotel and room were starting to show wear and tear, everything was clean and modern. As a single woman travelling solo, I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Ambre! I felt safe walking through the neighbourhood during the day and early evenings (I was usually back at the hotel by 10 pm). Everything you need is close by, the staff are friendly, the hotel is clean, you really can't ask for more!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great for tourists/cheap city break. - The hotel is only a few metro stops from all the tourist attractions, has a bakers less than 2 mins walk away, and just a few blocks over there are plenty of nice restaurants. The hotel was clean, and recently decorated. Our room had a stove, fridge and microwave, so we did our own breakfasts, but the hotel will also do a breakfast for you at £10/p/p/d. The down sides: some of the decor was cheaply done - a door handle in the corridor fell off, as did the toilet roll holder; we were facing the road so you could hear the traffic (fortunately the vino aided our sleep nicely); and there wasn't a kettle. Otherwise an excellent hotel, and very good value.
- Murphy (10/5): 10 minutes on tube, lovely hotel!! - Staff we're extremely helpful & friendly. They had free wifi however no computer access. The staff there allowed us to check-in online & printed our boarding passes for us for our return flight. Hotel Room (Junior Suite) was very reasonably priced & gorgeous with 2 flat screen TV's. Room was extremely clean. Staff cleaned it with fresh linen & towels daily. Did not have breakfast in the hotel however(our choice not to). Metro station was a minute walk away and took approx. 10 minutes from Tolbiac to Eiffel Tower on the tube. Surrounding area of hotel is not really a tourist area. Lovely restaurant at the top corner of the street, reasonably priced, lovely food & serves food until late. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
- Hank (8/5): Clean, comfortable and close to Metro - Hotel Ambre is a great choice if you are in Paris to enjoy Paris and don't expect to spend a lot of time in your hotel. Hotel Ambre was recently renovated (Summer 2012). It is clean and everything works. The front desk staff speaks enough English so that even if your French isn't the best, you will still get along. It isn't in the heart of the tourist area, but the Metro is close and can take you anywhere you want to go in the city quickly. The only complaint I have is that they don't make it clear until you check out that the breakfast isn't included in the room rate! If it were not for that, I would have rated this hotel a 5 of 5 for a hotel in its price range.
