• Amanda (5/5): Beautiful serene location with amazing staff - Under Major Construction though - I picked this hotel for the quiet waterfront walks. The view is amazing and the hotel is Under Major Construction. This was not posted anywhere, so when I arrived I was shocked to be told they are doing construction - all day until 6pm everyday. The staff really tried to make up for the all consuming noise. They were giving, kind and so helpful, truly my experience with Ushuaia. I came for quiet and peace, which I was able to get when I walked far down the beach but I do feel the staff made my day. Again note this hotel is under major construction, I heard the circular saw basically all day. Under major construction and was not notified until arrival, late at night.

A vista da Baía, sem comentários, é um espetáculo à parte. Para mim não foi problema, mas fica distante do centro comercial e dos pontos de partida dos passeios.

Quarto limpo, cama confortável. chuveiro quente. Café da manhã muito bom com variedades de alimentação. Tudo limpo e feito na hora. Wi-fi bom. O estacionamento do carro é preciso subir uma rampa, quando neva, forma uma crosta de gelo que torna difícil a subida, com riscos de escorregar. Para chegar até o carro é uma aventura, pois o chão vira um sabão... Mas, mesmo assim, voltaremos ao hotel e recomendamos o mesmo.

• Brenda (8/5): Pleasant stay - Good location in a beautiful part of town . Rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful No screen on the window. Bugs came in. The cups, plates and silverware at the restaurant were frequently dirty. They pretend they didn’t notice and set the table with the dirty stuff anyhow. They were always nice about exchanging it if you asked, but it’s not right to have to inspect every single thing before you eat off of it. It was washed and the food bits were dried on, they probably need a new dishwasher.

• luizprcb (4/5): Middle of nowhere - The problem with Costa Ushuaia is that they are very far from downtown Ushuaia (which is a very very small town I have to say) and don't offer any transportation included. You must call a taxi, uber or remis each time. And plan well what you'll need because coming twice to the hotel is a waste of money. Apart from that, it's really quiet, the sleep is great, really peaceful. They have laundry, which is handy, but so expensive. The breakfast isn't a big deal. The sight to the lake is really nice.
• The_fotobug (6/5): Very basic hotel - and far from town - We booked Costa Ushuaia before and after our recent cruise to Antarctica. Before the trip, we were moved to The Tolkeyen hotel about a block away as Costa Ushuaia was full. Unfortunately, we ended up staying at Costa after our cruise. We were on the second floor - yes they have an elevator, but it was out of order. The room was quite basic and wifi was horrible - barely usable. The breakfast is very basic. They have a restaurant, but the service was poor (waitress spoke no English and appeared to hate her job). We waited and waited for our dinner and never received the desert I ordered. The hotel is located across from the Beagle channel, but a long way from town, so if you want more restaurant choices or want to shop, you must walk or pay for a cab as they have no transportation available.
• Zuza83 (6/5): Basic Hotel - The Costa Ushuaia is a very basic hotel, not luxury. It is located on the Beagle Channel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They answer all of our questions and made suggestions as where to go and what to see. We felt very welcome. I wish that cleaning Ladies do a better job, because the hotel doesn't look too clean. Corridors were not vacuumed and all doors looked filthy and not washed for years.
• kiga2017 (6/5): Decent rooms, on Beagle Channel, far from everything else - Room: comfortable, decent, wooden floor Bathroom: standard Storage space: few drawers, closet with shelves and a safe Free wifi throughout hotel, decent speed Staff: friendly, helpful Location: On the coast of the Beagle Channel so you can walk along the shore. View of the Beagle Channel from room and restaurant is scenic. Otherwise a little out of the way: somewhat distant from the main downtown area, or any non-hotel restaurant, or store, or anything to do, really: 1 hr. walk, or 130 ARS (=$8.20 USD) cab ride to downtown, each way. Comparatively close to the entrance to the National Park Accepts credit cards Continental breakfast included Hotel restaurant only serves breakfast and late dinner (not Mondays). One nearby hotel has a restaurant that serves at other times. Makes sense if you are doing activities during the day.
• johndB2730EJ (4/5): Very basic - Used this hotel as a one night stop before embarking on a cruise. Arrived at around 17.00 after a six hour journey and asked if we could get a coffee or some other drink but apparently not, without taking a 10 minute taxi ride to town. Our room was at the rear with no view and when we asked to change to one with a view and offered to pay a supplement we were told no, as they were full, which obviously they were not. There was a meal available in the evening(but not on Mondays) but it was pretty poor and once again no coffee was available! As our cruise did not leave until mid afternoon we asked if we could check out but stay in the hotel and have lunch but apparently there was no lunch service. They did keep our cases but we had to take a taxi in to town, visit a few sites, have lunch and then take a taxi back for our cases and return to the port. If you are doing a cruise pick a hotel in town
• Marcus_Coltro (6/5): Nice view, good location - I read several reviews here and I must say I do not agree with most bad ones. One of them complained "the towel had a hole".... come on, would this make this hotel bad? The room was spacious, clean, bathroom nice and plenty hot water. The only down was breakfast, they did not refill the options as fast the guests needed. Of course there were some frenzy from people going on expeditions very early on the morning who wanted to eat as much as possible before leaving the hotel. I even felt sorry for the poor girl that was attending in the morning. Just have in mind this is not a Hilton in NY, this is an isolated place on the tip of the Americas. If you travel to places like this you must give some slack to your expectations. If one day I return to Ushuaia I would certainly go back to this hotel.
• Jose_Godoi (6/5): Good view, but not much care of customers. - Hotel has a very nice view to Beagle chanel, but the staff there no much care of customers necessities. Hotel cleanness is also very poor. Breakfast items are rarely and do not show quality. The internal restaurant closes some nights for apparent no reason. When it open, is necessary book in advance or you will not be able to eat.
• AleN748 (6/5): we were not really welcome... - our booking was on hostal via rondine... but as we arrived we were sent to hotel costa ushuaia. something went wrong with the booking. as we arrived there it was no warm welcome as we had it before all the time during our trip in patagonia. the hotel itself is located perfect.. direct view on beagle channel.. really great view... but far far away from the city.... (was not what we wanted) the hotel is ok, but not extraordinary. we had the feeling, that ackpackers are not welcome - questions were answered halfheartedly. in this hotel there was no map available, and no clear information where or what. one evening we went to the restaurant and it was closed... without further notice. water was dripping from the bathroom cealing, coming out of the lamp (at 23:00) the reply was, "it's not dangerous" the next day the lightbulb has been removed. but in the end it was still dripping. the breakfast... as usual... only white bread, sweets, some fruits and coffee.... hot water for the tea was not really hot. we've been given the feeling to be rather nuisance than guests. it was not really a calm hotel... at 7:30 begins the daily pick up of guests for trips... we 've been woken by phone when the receptionist tried to call other guests.
• Javiernovoa (4/5): WARNING WARNING WARNING Staff couldn't be bothered being there! Atrocious service!!! - Breakfast was very average and poorly serviced.... Items were not replaced as soon as they were finished. Almost finished breakfast when they brought out new stock. They did not pass on a message from our tour guide even after I asked if we had messages waiting for us.... We missed our tour bus as a consequence! Restaurant decided to close one day out of the blue.... Went to bed without dinner. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! P.S. I even spoke the language fluently, so that was not an excuse.
• Michelle1309 (8/5): Will recomend! - Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a espectacular view of the Beagle Channel. The breakfast is rather ok and it's not too far from town. You can catch a taxi for a reasonable price if you don't like to walk.

• frlcassandra (8/5): Very good considering place and price - Costa Ushuaia is a relatively new hotel with quite cosy, clean rooms and friendly staff. They even have fresh fruit for breakfast - a feature not commonly found in Patagonia and Tierra de Fuego. The best thing about it is definitely its location right on the shore of the Beagle Canal. It is therefore a bit out of town but a 10 taxi ride (worth 25 AR$ in Sept 2011) will take you downtown. Work could be done on sound proofing the rooms, though. I heard the neighbour's snoring. But for 60 EUR per night for a king size room I was overall happy with the hotel.
• filipemessias (8/5): Highly Recommended! - Probably the best selection when in Ushuaia. We went there in late March (beginning of the low season) and found the prices to be adequate -about 90US$ for a double room, facing the Beagle. Given the general "medium-to-low" quality accomodation in Ushuaia, Costa Hotel is highly above standard and with a plus... the views of the Beagle channel are absolutely astonishing. Breathtaking. It´s a bit off-town (5min cab drive)... but at a very low price, as we usually payed about 6US$ per ride. The staff is generally friendly and helpfull.
