- Ferrara (10/5): Hotel in centro bellissimo - La posizione in centro è da 10, da qui si possono raggiungere diverse attrazioni turistiche come riserve naturali e spiagge, in pochi minuti d’auto, e allo stesso tempo a pochi passi da tutti i servizi di base. Camere super pulite, il personale super, bellissima l’area piscina, rilassante e con servizio bar. Avevamo prenotato per due notti ma abbiamo prolungato il soggiorno perché ci siamo trovati benissimo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

All the staff were very helpful, friendly and spoke good English - far better than our Italian 😔. Mikel & Alessia couldn’t do enough for us and both the receptionists were really helpful. Good places to eat & drink really close by. Even though it’s out of the main town I would stay here again.

However there is a lot of noise and you can hear everything around the rooms (from the above floor and next rooms), including toilets and showers
- Chema (10/5): Great experience at Hotel Delle Palme - Absolutely loved our stay here, vintage hotel in Sant Agatha, a little town where we got to know the locals and enjoy italian culture, we’re so glad we stayed here and not on Amalfi or Positano, which are crowded. The staff is amazing! They make you feel like home and are the nicest and super helpful the whole time. Breakfast is great and the hotel is very well taken care of. Totally recommend and would stay here again. It’s a little far and hard to get to from Sorrento if you don’t have a car, just be aware of the bus schedules and ask the staff for help, they’re very helpful.
- Nick (6/5): I feel that you get what you pay for at this hotel. It’s not perfect but gets the job done for a 3 day visit. - Clean property but slightly dated. Very good views of the ocean and landscape. Free onsite parking. There are 4-5 restaurants and bars nearby. The property is about 25 minute taxi or bus ride away from Sorrento. If you ride the bus,it is a 15 minute walk to the bus station. If taking a taxi, be prepared to pay 60-70 euro each way. The breakfast at the property was not to good. It was an American style breakfast and the hot food (eggs, bacon, sausage) was all cold. The eggs were so flooded in water that they were too disgusting to eat.

We found Sant Agata to be a great location to visit the western Amalfi coast (with scooter) and Sorrento (by bus). The staff was fantastic and extremely helpful, providing several tips for activities close by. Definitely would recommend staying here!

La chambre moyenne, la clim difficile a regler, lit trop ferme, et surtout chambre tres bruyante j'étais au rez-de-chaussé et a chaque fois que quelqu'un aller au toilette ou a la salle de bain on entendais l'écoulement de l'eau et l'évacuation des toilettes. There are some lovely restaurants near by that you can walk to. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you. * The beds were really hard and not comfortable. * The bus journey to Sorrento was cheap, and the bus stop was very close. However, it takes more than 20 minutes. I would say around 30 minutes. * There were some rude staff in the restaurant area in the morning. They made us feel uncomfortable because we noticed two of them staring up and down at us. * We may have missed this information, but there is a charge for the small bottles of water that are in the fridge in your bedroom. Admittedly, it wasn’t much money, but we were notified when we checked out. If we knew we had to pay for a small bottle of water each night, then we would have purchased water from the shops. * Breakfast was ok. It was pretty much the same everyday. No fresh coffee and only a coffee machine which we didn’t enjoy.

We had a lovely relaxing pool day listening to the birds tweeting it was lovely. The breakfast was nice and I particularly liked the breakfast room itself. The staff were also really helpful and friendly. If you are a light sleeper you do hear noise from other residents from around 7.30am onwards leaving their rooms.

- Tulitaly2023 (8/5): So glad we chose Hotel delle Palme for a base location along the Amalfi Coast. - Location was excellent for touring the area by car and the on-site parking was a bonus feature. Staff was excellent and the bar on the ground floor was a wonderful place to plan the next day's adventures. The town of Sant' Agata was delightful with a local presence that was worth exploring each evening. The bakery directly across the street was a great way to start each day with coffee and croissants and also to finish each evening with gelato. The only real disappointment was that the pool closed for the day too early in the evening before dinner. After a long day of touring the coast it would have been wonderful to be able to go for a swim at the end of the day before going out in the evening for dinner. A 7:00 pm closure would have been appreciated.

- Cristi (5/5): Passable - the front garden was ok during the evening with the candle lighting. poolside bar was ok. the photos on booking and the 4 star rating of the hotel do not reflect reality. we knew the rooms were supposed to be minimalistic furnished, but found it to be old. the hotel itself needs badly a refresh on the outside. the pool closed at 18 30 even though it was not specified, kids were disappointed. i found the car dented in two places in the hotel parking, with one rusty 3 wheeled piaggio scooter of one of the workers parked directly in my (rental car) bumper
- Mccarthy (6/5): Fine but wouldn't book again. - The breakfast was quite good and the pool was nice. They let us grab a coffee and pastry 10 minutes early on the day we had an excursion to Caprese. This was kind of them and we were grateful for it. The lady working at reception was kind and helpful and so was the lady working on the car. Although the bus stop was close to the hotel, after 5pm the only available route took 45 minutes to get into Sorrento or back from Sorrento. We were moved 3 times by staff (once at breakfast and twice from our sun beds at the pool). We were told the seating was reserved for long stay guests. This wasn't the biggest issue but it also wasn't sign posted or made clear at all so it was a little embarrassing to be moved halfway through a mouthful of breakfast! It became clear quickly that, although everything was perfectly adequate, long stay guests were being prioritised even though all guests were paying. Simple solutions like using a reserved sign on the tables and sun loungers that were off limits or even informing people upon check in that they have lots of long stay guests and we need to check where they are and are not allowed to sit, could have saved embarrassment.

- Ian (8/5): Very good - Luckily, we had one of the updated rooms. With a view over the rear gardens and pool. Worth checking if you can have one. Nice decor and comfy bed. Reception staff were very helpful. Pool open to non residents, which can mean the beds get full and unruly children can be a problem when trying to relax, as happened while we were there. A few staff members around the hotel were not particularly friendly, and just from my observations, there does appear to be preference for Italian visitors.

The pool area is lovely, plenty of beds and parasols, and there is a bar for drinks and snacks. Prices are reasonable. This hotel is about 20 mins from the centre of Sorrento, we had a car so drove ourselves. There is a bus that stops close by, which is cheap and convenient. You can park in the hotel carpark free of charge. We ate in 3 decent restaurants in Sant Agata, with good food at reasonable prices. There were Bar Orlando, Restaurant Da Mimi, and Lo Stuzzichino. I would recommend them all. There are also a couple of bars in Sant Agata, we sat in Bar Orlando and Racy Bar a couple of times. The hotel is a bit tired. It needs some TLC. The exterior needs a coat of paint and shutters replaced where missing, and this would instantly give it a facelift. The outside at the front would also benefit from a makeover.. The breakfast would be improved with freshly made coffee instead of a machine.
