We did not want to leave! - We loved our stay in Maimará, it was the perfect location for exploring Purmamarca and Tilcara, as it is only about 15 minutes from both. The history of the house and the artistic details made our stay feel very special, all while maintaining excellent cleanliness and providing everything we needed. The family who runs this home have a unique history in the area and had tons of local knowledge and recommendations. They even went above and beyond to help us when we had a flat tire! The house was cozy, warm, and spacious, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains from the patio. The breakfast was also fantastic, and we loved that so much of it featured homemade and local ingredients. Having to leave!

- Brian (10/5): Beautiful place, highly recommended - Firstly, Fabricio was a fantastic host, he spoke excellent English, giving us a warm welcome, information about the property, local area and helpful recommendations. The accommodation is beautiful, tasteful appointed throughout and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a special mention for Fabricio’s homemade fig jam and the delicious honey from his hives. We can also recommend the local restaurant La Casona, just across the rail track, the local dishes were great and the service friendly, excellent value. We’d definitely love to return and stay longer in this space lovely Hosteria, especially as there is so much to see and enjoy in the region. Nothing

The hotel is the beautiful home of the owner, Marina and her husband. It is so lovely to see the wonderful art work displayed all over the property from her father in law who used to live in the house. Marina was very helpful in explaining how we could visit Salinas Grandes, which was a magnificent experience. The stunning colourful rock formation behind the hotel was at its best in the afternoon sun. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cereals, bread, jam and cake.

Mit dem Auto kann man von hier aus alle Ausflüge machen. In Tilcara ist man in 10 Minuten. Es beeindruckt, dass die Eigentümer so nachhaltig arbeiten. Wir würden wieder kommen!

Toda la decoración de la casa está cuidada al detalle. El personal es amabilísimo y te hacen sentir muy a gusto, el desayuno muy rico y variado, con opciones saludables y caseras. Maimará es un pueblo muy tranquilo, queda a mano para conocer la quebrada, pero no tiene mucha vida, ni zona más animada para salir a cenar. Si buscas tranquilidad, es perfecto.

More than just arriving at a hotel, we felt like a friend, Marina, was waiting for us. She was very attentive, kind, and loving. She cooked us an exquisite dinner on Sunday night and an equally excellent breakfast in the morning. The place was warm, the room spotless and very comfortable. I highly recommend it, not only for the facilities but also for the warmth of the host. We will return!
- Jürgen (3/5): No sleep for us that night :/ - Cute little hotel. Very original. There was a Corn festival going on that night. We asked how long it will take - the estimate was 11pm. We decided to stay and not change accommodation. We could only sleep with interruptions until 5am. We have no evidence, but we believe we got stomach issues either from the water or the breakfast, which was cute otherwise.

Hotel and rooms were very nice, breakfast was homemade and the owner was super nice and made some great suggestions during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing really - the parking is not secure parking, but the location does not seem risky in any way, in fact.

Fabricio, his wife and team went above and beyond to help with advice and information. The dinner and breakfasts were delicious! The location perfect in a beautiful village! - Alberto (10/5): A hidden gem in Jujuy! - The place is truly a gem. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished, with charming decorations. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast we had was all homemade and super tasty. The location is very convenient if you’re travelling in the Jujuy province, and cheaper than other villages nearby, highly recommended instead of going to Tilcara or Purmamarca.

Really enjoyed chatting with her. The dinner was excellent with local food specialties. Breakfast was a delight with self made bread, granola and many yummy things.
- Janne (10/5): Exceptional - We had an incredible experience at La Paleta del Pintor Hosteria, thanks to the wonderful host, Fabricio. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly into a beautiful and artistic oasis. The entrance of the hostel is charming, and Fabricio shared a touching story about his grandfather, who originally bought the house, lived there, and was a painter. This personal history is reflected in the artistic details throughout the property. The inner garden is a peaceful retreat where you can relax and unwind. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Fabricio was an exceptional host, always open to having a friendly chat and eager to help with anything we needed. We especially enjoyed our conversations during dinner, which made our stay feel even more personal. The food was fantastic, with a delicious dinner and breakfast. The location is also perfect, as it’s near a scenic hiking trail, Paleta del Pintor, offering breathtaking views. If you’re looking for a place with a personal touch, rich history, and a hint of Italian charm, I highly recommend staying here. This hostel is more than just accommodation—it’s an experience.

They were very knowledgeable about the area and sites, plus a very nice breakfast was served each morning. Loved staying in Maimara - a truly authentic town, versus the tourist feel of Tilcara.

Very uncomfortable, hollow mattress, old and hard. Room next to courtyard / outdoor kitchen - unfortunately there were some noisy people with babies when we were there (but fortunately things quieted down at around 23:00).

Every detail is made with so much love and passion, everything looks beautiful and the Staff is so very friendly and loving. My friend instantly said that this is the best place she ever stayed in. Places like this are not so often..... It really is a treasure. Nothing!
