- Stephanie (1/5): Sewerage smell, dirty room and rock hard beds - The second bedroom stank of sewerage and was unusable. The double bed was so hard it was like sleeping on a plank. The shower curtain was covered in black and red mould. Rubbish in room from previous guests. No way to turn off lounge light apart from pulling a panel off the wall and using a hidden switch. Couch covered in dust and fluff. No cutlery or crockery in room - despite having cooking facilities. Two dining chairs for a four bed apartment. Dirty stained tablecloth. Decor is “share house” style and looks and feels unclean. Washer but no dryer. No bathroom in reception. Luggage storage very insecure with bags out in reception where people are coming and going.

Very dusty inside the room, the bathroom is dirty with dust, water stains and mould which I need to clean by myself before using it. The air conditioner is not warm even if you switch to 31 degrees. All items with filters in the room( e.g. fan & air con) are full of dust....need a deep clean and maintain better. Besides the bed is super hard with zero bouncy as you could imagine. Sometimes the motorcycle noise would wake us up, during the night, we couldn't rest well during our stay.

- Olena (9/5): Very comfortable place in Tennoji - We reserved the room in Popway Residence for 3 nights, but ended up extending it for 10 days. Room is not so big but the creative furniture arrangement allows to keep it not congested. There are special sliding shelves for big suitcases under the bed. Place has its own small kitchen and staff can provide some cooking equipments. We had very pleasant experience with the staff in this hotel. They were always helpful and supportive. In overal, we felt like we were staying in our private apartment in the heart of Tennoji. The twin room has big balcony with perfect views on Haruka building. We used to enjoy night drink with the great view from there. And one more crucial factor, they kept really decent price compared to equivalent properties. The bathroom curtain was not cleaned well after previous guests.

Balcony to relax on with a washing machine. Black out curtains. Shower is a bit on the tiny side if you are big. Had to be careful not to elbow walls.

- Sipho (8/5): All of their staff at the front desk were very friendly. - It’s was walkable distance to the main train station and the shopping mall. I also love it because we have a cooker, fridge and washing machine, which meant me could make our own food and do our laundry. They didn’t clean our room for 6 days. However, when we asked them to clean the room, all they did was to give us clean towels, not change the bedding.

Very nice design and the little balcony is a nice plus. Staff were very helpful Good value for the price The bed is very hard, for me it felt almost like sleeping on a yoga mat. If you prefer really hard mattresses then it might be okay for you. The room wasn't that clean, there was a lot of dust. Not much if any restaurants around All that being said, I do think this hotel is very nice and we did enjoy staying there. Very good value for money.

The drain is clogged by previous visitors's hair !!!!!!! They didn't clean it properly. They offered us different room and the new room's bed sheet has stains ! We had to ask the staff gove us new bed sheet and changed by ourselves

It was way too firm. We might as well have been sleeping on the floor. I don’t know how they even managed to make such a hard mattress unless it was just made out of wood with no padding.

- Wing (8/5): Valuable and good service. - It’s like little apartment, with a balcony and mini kitchen, including utensils. The bed is large and comfy, you can watch youtube on TV and even some local subscription service. There are convenience stores nearby as well. It’s a little bit far from the JR station, which takes around 10-12 mins to walk from tennoji station.

- Yuen (5/5): Passable - The Deluxe twin/double rooms are comfortable. We booked three rooms, one two-bedroom suite and two deluxe Twin/double room. The Deluxe rooms are fine, but the two bedroom suite was so stink (smell from toilet, probably not cause by cleaning problem but maybe from the sewage/pipe) that we had to request for change of rooms, but they don’t have two-bedroom suite anymore so need to get two small rooms instead. A bit disappointed.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Traveled with family (4 people, 2 rooms) The location was good. 10 minutes walk from Tennoji Station. The rooms were smaller than expected and dirty. When we entered our rooms, there’re somebody’s hair on the floor and bed, stains on the kitchen wall. And the rooms were so dusty. Drying racks were rusty and hangers were dirty, just like they’ve never cleaned them. On the 2nd day of our stay, the staff didn’t conduct eco-cleaning for one of our rooms, even though we’d put a door magnet before leaving in the morning. The automatic curtain and various types of room light were impressive. And having washing machine in each room’s so convenient, but they should have paid more attention to cleanliness.

- Julia (4/5): Probably a place with good cost performance, but I wouldn’t recommend if you value cleanliness. - I liked the hotel‘s concept of turning former one room apartments into hotel rooms with a popping color concept and a smart furniture concept. Having a balcony and being able to use streaming services on the TV was also nice. The place felt a bit dirty. When entering the room for the first time, there were long black hairs on the floor and in the bathroom and the bedclothes were stained. Also, the bed was too hard for comfort, resulting in back pain during the stay (I usually like hard mattresses and futons, but this bed felt like a wood plank decorated with linen). Parts of the furniture were already broken.
- Sarah (10/5): One of my favourite stays of all time. - Great location, just a 10 minute walk from Tennoji station. Tennoji by the way is a major station with lots of direct trains going to important places (Shin-Osaka, Nara, JR Namba for example). This place is perfect if you have any special dietary requirements (halal, vegetarian, vegan etc) as it's very difficult eating in Japan if you don't eat meat -this place has an electric cooker hob so you can prepare your own stuff -by the way the kitchenette has cooking pots, plates, cutlery, glasses. There is also a supermarket called Harves in Tennoji station which has a few vegetarian dishes in the Deli section. Of course the room itself was very clean, the bathroom was very clean. There's also a washing machine on the balcony. No tumble dryer but not really a big deal. I would definitely stay here again.
