• Ewa (3/5): Nie polecam - Tylko i wyłącznie umiejscowienie. Po pierwsze na stronie nie ma tego apartamentu to był zupełnie inny pokój. Nic się nie zgadzało. Po drugie Nie mogliśmy dostać się do pokoju gdyż właściciel nie otwierał drzwi i nie odbierał telefonu. Musieliśmy dzwonić do booking aby się z nim oni skontaktowali. Pokój bardzo słabo wyposażony. Taki stary apartament z lat 70 tych. Nie za taki zapłaciłam kilka miesięcy wcześniej.

• Hasan (9/5): - Super close to Pile gate in old town. Had almost all the amenities. Host was super kind. He even lent me an iron. A tip: If coming via taxi, ask them to drop you off at Hilton Imperial Hotel Dubrovnik. Only 5 mins and 15 stairs. If you get dropped off at the zagrebačka UI road, then be ready to go down atleast 100 stairs with your luggage. The washroom had this pungent smell.

La terrasse est très agréable avec la petite visite quotidienne d'un charmant petit chat. Juste une proposition : mettre à disposition des épices de base, un peu d'huile... mettre une petite réserve de papier toilette/serviettes. lit très confortable, la couette juste un peu trop petite.

• Mark (9/5): We were quite happy with the apartment and would stay here again. - We quite liked the apartment. It must be one of the only apartments in Dubrovnik with almost no stairs to climb to reach it. It was located less than a 10 minute walk from Pele gate. There were two grocery stores, several sandwich shops and plenty of restaurants/bars near the gate. The bed was quite comfortable. The sofa was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water although you need to adjust the temperature as the water was very hot. Dishes/cutlery were adequate. Paula checked us in an was very attentive. We don’t cook and only have a cold breakfast so the limited amount of dishes and cutlery was not an issue. Two more pillows and a comforter would have been welcome. Always carry a flashlight in Dubrovnik as the street lighting can be spotty outside on the City walls. This is a Dubrovnik issue not a shortcoming of the apartment.

Pas de bols, ni couteaux à légumes, ni essoreuse à salade, ni égouttoir, ni machine à café. Pas d'étagère ni table d'appoint ni lampes ailleurs qu'au plafond. Odeur d'égout dans la salle de bain.

• Martina (8/5): Basic, simple accommodation close to the city centre - Very close to Pila gate and info centrum. The main tourist attraction close by. Nice sunny teracce in front of the acommodation. Basic acommodation, simple, clean, but little bit damp - no heating there and few trace of mould.
• Marybeth L (9/5): Lovely suitable apartment with Terrace not far from Old Town - I liked the host Dragone and the location, I would just recommend to everyone to sim at coming via the Hilton Imperial route, as it is so close to the apartment and has so many fewer stairs with luggage. Just directions on best ways to get there. My Google brought me the long difficult way around.

Paula nos espero a la hora de llegada para el check in. Tiene una terraza con vista al mar preciosa ,con mesa y sillas para comer ahí y un par de reposeras. Excelente Estaba todo ok

• Laurie (6/5): Do not stay here. - Had confirmation that the apartment had cable TV and a dryer from Hotels.com. It had neither. When I contacted the owner she said, sorry, that is my other apartment. When I contacted Hotels.com, they said no refund. Unit had a comfortable bed and nice terrace, but was old and dated.

Suggested parking failed to say you need to carry your bags descending a lot of stairs. Alternative parking available closer, less steps (ascending). Note: Coordinates supplied are to landlords address and from there you ascend about 20 steps to given address for apartment.

• Matias (9/5): Estadía inmejorable en Dubrovnik - La ubicación es inmejorable. A 5 minutos de la puerta de Pile y de la parte antigua. El apartamento tenía aire acondicionado tanto en la habitación como en la sala de estar que hace que sea una maravilla eatar ahí. Que tengas lavadora es un súper extra, si vienes por varios días. El dueño se nota que ha mejorado muchísimo los puntos críticos o negativos de anteriores reseñas, lo que mejora muchísimo la experiencia. Lamentablemente, el baño sigue teniendo bastante olor a humedad.

It would have been nice having some extra amenities for the apartment such as a coffee machine, kitchen towels, shower gel etc but nothing super important. Overpriced for what you pay for but that seems to be Dubrovnik in general...
• Damien (2/5): À éviter, c’est une arnaque - Je souhaiterai avertir tous les futurs clients : les photos ne sont pas ce à quoi ressemble le logement, loin de là ! Si vous souhaitez avoir un logement convenable à un prix convenable, n’allez pas ici : J’ai connu des hôtels à 20 euros qui avait la même qualité. L’appartement n’est pas très propre, le lit craqué au moindre mouvement, la douche est à moitié bouché, vous n’avez que peu d’éléments pour cuisiner sur place et la communication avec le loueur est quasi impossible : leur numéro est une IA qui ne parle que la langue croate. Aucune instruction à l’arrivée, ni même pour le départ. Ce logement a gâché mes vacances et nous n’avons pu obtenir de remboursement !
• Crescenzo (8/5): Great location and beautiful terrace - We had a great stay in this apartment. The host is very kind and welcoming. The terrace is absolutely beautiful, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Old Town and Fort Lovrijenac. I highly recommend this place. A couple of things could be improved: there was no TV in the apartment and kitchen utensils were not properly cleaned.

• Aidan (10/5): - Spacious apartment with a well stocked kitchen. Host was super friendly and available if anything was needed. Air conditioning was excellent (two pumps in the space). Use of outdoor terrace and washing machine. Please note: 40 steps up from the gate to the apartment. Main parking garage is roughly 175 steps above the property on the edge of the old town. Walk to Pile Gate from the property is a gentle slope. Overall excellent apartment with a comfortable bed - had a great 3 day stay.

Le lit tres confortable, par contre le canapé lit ne l'est pas du tout, il convient pour des enfants. L'appartement sent le moisi, il est très humide et il y a des traces de moisissures.

• DEREK (10/5): Dubrovnik terrace haven - Very pleasant stay at Apartment Paula. Well positioned just outside Old Town Pile gate, Greeted with a cold beer on arrival which is always appreciated. But being Dubrovnik there are stairs to contend with,but not many leading to this apartment.

• Dan (8/5): Quick stay in Dubrovnik - Very large terrace with table and chairs as well as lounging sun beds. It also has a retractable sunshade. The washing machine was great to catch up on laundry. Location is just a 10 minute walk to Pile gate. Paula met us at check-in. Communication is with a service agency with frequent and unnecessary standardized messages... but when I needed to talk with them they didn't respond for many hours. Whatsapp messages were not replied to timely either. No self check-in so it left us up on the air but in the end Paula was there. Wifi is very poor even in such a small space, definitely needs fixing. Hot water in shower only kept pressure for 10 seconds.

The bed was really not that comfortable. Some kitchen equipment were not usable (the Kettle), the stove was pretty rusty and the fridge was not well cleaned.

The apartment is access via one of the winding lanes and is a little up hill. The gate leads to a staircase up to a terrace. A great option for a stay in an amazing city.
• Nhat (8/5): A good stay! recommend the place! - It was a good size airconditioned apartment, which locates not so far from the main gate to the old town. The host is quite polite and helpful. The toilet's air ventilation needs some improvement, maybe some fan can help. Also the apartment is located up on a hill so be mindful that you have to walk quite some steps to reach it.

• Farroyo (6/5): Great location, but very overpriced for what it is - The location is the highlight of this apartment—just a quick 3-minute walk to the Old Town, which is absolutely fantastic. Just keep in mind that navigating the city can be challenging due to car restrictions, numerous stairs, and steep slopes! The bed in the main dormroom is very comfortable and the AC works really well. The secondary bed for the kids was quite uncomfortable. The apartment itself was fairly average and felt overpriced, but this seems to be typical for Dubrovnik during the high season.

• Kate (9/5): Comfortable apartment with terrace near Old Town - This apartment was the perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the Old Town. It was really great to have the washing machine and the lovely spacious terrace with sea view. The air conditioning was very good, and the hosts were accomodating and communicative. Also, there is a very beautiful black cat that sleeps near the front gate in the evening and loves to be fed, please feed her if you see her as she is very sweet and friendly. Nothing related to accomodation - but having to leave the very sweet cat at the end of our stay was sad. Please look out for her during your stay.

The apartment was old, rundown and requires a significant amount of repair and renovation. . Shutters didn't work. Doors to terrace wouldn't close properly. Power points were minimal, loose and possibly dangerous. Shower head was loose and the shower drain was open and very unhygienic making showering unpleasant and difficult. . Property description included TV and oven, neither existed. Tiny fridge. Air-conditioning unit needs attention, fan wouldn't change speed. Bed held up by wooden blocks and dirty underneath. Outside entrance was cluttered and unpleasant.

The hosts onsite were very helpful and kind. The space is basic but has all needed amenities including bonus of a washing machine/drying rack. The auto-booking folks (or was it AI?) we communicated with before arriving were not terribly helpful.

• Paul (10/5): Exceptional - This is a very nice apartment that is only a few hundred metres from the Pile Gate and is very handy to buses and taxis. It is a reasonably easy walk to the apartment up a path. There is no vehicle access. We had no issue accessing apartment with our baggage. Host generously allowed us to check in early. Be aware that there are 41 steps from the gate to the courtyard. Apartment is a good size and is very comfortable with good facilities, including a washing machine. Very handy when you have been traveling for a while. Nothing
• Azlin (7/5): The apartment is not suitable to elderly & to those who are trvelling woth heavy luggage - It is clean & the water pressure for the shower is very good. Even though it is near to the pile gate, we need to hike up quite far to get to the apartment from the bus stop. The agent kept on giving the same standard info when we texted regarding the check in. I need to call the owner to inform him taht o was already at the front gate of the apartment. Luckily the owner stays upstairs.

• Patanee (9/5): Nice stay closed to Dubrovnik Old Town - Location walk to Dubrovnik Old Town (Pile Gate). Enough space for up to 4 people with full kitchen. Very kind owner and husband, they helped us carrying luggage and find taxi to airport. No bath gel and shampoo. No dryer (there is washing machine). No paper towels for kitchen and dining table.
• Matthew (7/5): Great location and terrace but kitchen is not good - The location and the terrace were excellent. We stayed in the smaller apartment which was a bit dated. The shower had hot water, there were plenty of towels, and the bed was comfy enough. The fridge was old but kept everything nice and cold. The smaller apartment is different to the photos displayed, but it's worth booking anyway for the location and terrace. The terrace had an amazing view and there were two sun loungers, two chairs and a table. Also there is a very friendly cat that visits every day. There were a few things that were supposed to be included in the booking that were not provided. There were no toiletries. There was supposed to be a toaster but instead an old toasted sandwich maker that was in bad condition. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped and only had two old pots for cooking and no pans, the hobs for cooking didn't give off much heat. I messaged the apartment on my first day about these problems but received no reply. Also there was no TV which didn't bother me but might not be good for some people. I checked on my booking and these things were definitely meant to be provided.

The apartment was clean with everything you could need and we really enjoyed spending time in the evening sat on the terrace with a lovely view. The host was fantastic and communicated really well with us. The apartment has some stairs which didn't bother us but for the less able it is good to know.

Lovely patio to sit outside on too. Great value for money due to location Like everything. Is uphill but then so is everything in this city - you won’t get much closer.
