Debra (3/5): - The room was very old and floor was not clean. Couple bugs ran across the floor. We were not informed ahead that we would be going down a flight of stairs to a sub level. My husband is getting a knee replacement so this was painful for him and there were no other rooms available. The bed was very comfortable though, staff was friendly and location was good.

Nat en Rem (9/5): Een heel fijn verblijf! - De ligging vonden wij erg ideaal. Het hotel vonden wij ook mooier dan op de foto's. Vriendelijke mensen, heerlijk ontbijt, erg fijne kamer en heerlijk geslapen. Eigenlijk niks maar wij vonden het een beetje jammer dat je in een bepaald tijdslot moest ontbijten. Wij begrijpen het wel gezien de ruimte maar we hadden graag nog wat langer willen tafelen.

Our room was on the 5th floor which meant we took the elevator to 4 and then had to walk up a skinny spiral staircase with our suitcases. For the price I expected the staff to offer to help us with our bags but nobody did. The room was extremely tiny, not even big enough to open 2 carry on suitcases comfortably. The shower was terrible- the water pressure was very weak and the shower head angle was terrible and unmovable. And the towels were thin and small.

They offered breakfast for a fee (15 Euro). We are glad we didn't purchase as it was European continental and there was so much within walking distance.

Cheryl (10/5): The Times Hotel is a welcoming hotel along one of Amsterdam’s beautiful canals. - The location of The Times Hotel is great. Central Station is an easy 15 walk. The beds were very comfortable. We stayed in a canal view room. The windows opened which added to the experience of seeing and hearing boats go by. The staff was pleasant and welcoming.

It was also quiet.t Based on location, The Times Hotel has so much potential. However, they are missing several key components: 1) The hotel is dated and tired. It makes it seem dirty. There is nothing attractive about the rooms. 2) Get some new towels! I have travelled extensively and stayed in many different kinds of hotels. I have never encountered towels so threadbare and raggy. For the rates charged, I think they could at least provide decent towels. 3) Finally, I think the people who work there are mssing a key component of the hospitality industry…be Hospitable! They staff were so unfriendly and borderline surly.

Richard (9/5): Location, location, location! - The location - in a quiet street on one of the canals - is excellent. A 12 minute walk (with luggage) from the central railway station and only 7 minutes from Anne Frank's House in one direction and the main Dam square in the other. Breakfast was fresh and very good value and our experience of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have a room with a view, but it was very comfortable and clean!

Q1733ENmelaniec (10/5): Great Find - What an amazing little Hotel. I had a wonderful room overlooking the canal. It had a little window I could open and hear and smell the neighborhood. When closed it was quiet. It was perfect location for me, I walked everywhere :) The staff were amazing, good breakfast, clean rooms. I would definitely stay here again :)
