Guest Reviews
- Lina (4/5): Mold - Large space and comfortable bed, just be aware there is mold on the ceiling in the room we stayed. We had to leave after one day as there was no other rooms available. The contact was communicative but I could not get a refund.
- Abdur (10/5): - šš Trust me this Excellent hotel and Location.
Next visit with my family.
- Lynette (8/5): - Riyad and boss were v considerate and provided for all our needs.
- Darren (2/5): Stay away !!!!!! - When we arrived there was no reception, just a few guys standing around and a security guard. One man approached me and said he wanted to see my booking, ons seen he made a call to another person who came to see me in the lobby , we were then asked to pay 100 myr, but it had to be cash , we were then taken to our room which was nothing like what you see on hotel.com , the room was dirty and sparse , we took the decision to leave as we could not stay there , it did not feel safe, we then got our 100 myr back ant went to another hotel after just 1 hr , so my advice would be to keep away and find something better.
- AHMED (4/5): - Worst service of my entire in the past 10 yrs of traveling. Couldnāt find the reception and we have to call the property. Just a random man arrive and gave a key. After that we havenāt seen him.
- Nilesh (10/5): Berjaya Times Square Suite - My stay at Berjaya Times Square Suites was truly delightful. The spacious and well-appointed suites offered a comfortable retreat in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The hotel's central location made exploring the city a breeze, with shopping and dining options right at my doorstep. The staff's hospitality was exceptional, ensuring a pleasant and memorable experience. I particularly enjoyed the panoramic views from my suite, adding to the overall charm of the stay. A perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking convenience and comfort in this vibrant city.
- Aram (4/5): Too old and damaged for comfort - Amenities over 20 years old and lots of small faults spoil the overall experience. For example, the toilet seats are cracked and pinch your butt every time. Another is the broken shower hose that sprays water everywhere and wets everything. So much more issues like stained bed linens, mouldy chairs and water damaged floors. The only good thing was the view. Please renovate the hotel. Then thereās this old musky smell from the mattress.
- adzeim (2/5): disaster - dirty, scary, not an official berjaya time square room, just the same building, door is very scary as someone just broke in,air condition smells and hot, super dirty,
not and official berjaya time square room, need to meet agent to get key,not from official counter, please get official berjaya time square from receptionist, not from agent, bad and scary experience, for check out need wait half hour to send key
- Tuan (2/5): - this property so pool, there is old room not like you see in picture do not take suite, and no toilet paper supply with include roach inside room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed.. - Dirty and the facilities is all broken. The best part is, you cant even lock the main door.
- NORSHAHILA BINTI ABDUL (2/5): - The room was worst. All the things in the room need to change new one. Please take an action
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Found used and unfolded towels in the closet and toilet when we checked in so not sure whether sanitization measures are taken.
- Kok Liong (6/5): - Faclities & amendities is a bit old.
- Audrey (8/5): Clean & comfortable - Clean, comfortable, room is big
- Daniel (8/5): Proximity and easy access to public transport - Due to its proximity to popular shopping (Berjaya Times Square, Bukit Bintang area) and eateries (Jalan ah loy, Imbi) and easy access to public transport (monorail, Lrt, Mrt), it is an ideal place to stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I arrived at the property and couldnāt find anyone to do the check in and to collect my key card. I tried calling all the numbers provided in the itinerary but to no avail. As such I had to make another booking at another hotel. A huge inconvenience, Iām very disappointed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for family. - It has no counter at lobby, you will need to call the person in charge on your booking. In charge is helpful. Abit old place, overall this place is good for family.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The person in charge was rude
- wk (8/5): - For the price we paid, it was value for money. The location's great! It would be nice if the towels were changed without calling for cleaned ones.
- Tan (10/5): - Value for money and very honest staff
- Grow (4/5): - Check in is not at the reception counter. We have to wait some one to bring us to the room.
(i am not sure he is a hotel stuff or not, becoz he did ware an uniform and i didnt see any stuff duty card on him. The person also didnt introduced himself.
After he show a paper to me and makesure the booked name and have a look to my ic, then he ask us follow him but he didnt explain that he wanna show us where is our room.
we have to pay check in deposit to him, the receipt totally is not under times square hotel /suite name, is other compony name.
And we have to pay the carpark fees also. š„
Felling strange.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good service n staff are very friendly n helpful. Room is very spacious + good surroundings.
- MICHAELKOK (8/5): - The assistant, by the name of MR Mohamad is friendly, courteous and helpful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I dont like the times square suites at all. Everything is not good.
- Leong (4/5): - The bed sheets got some wireld smell, and the spare bed look bad
- Rajendra (10/5): Family holiday - This was our second stay at this property. The location is excellent! Imbi Monorail Station at the door step makes it very easy to get around KL Very dependable service. We had a very pleasant stay!
- pouya (2/5): Awful - Roude Staff and not helping.
Worst experience ever!
- KR (6/5): Great location. - Overall just ok.
I stayed both at the hotel and service apartment. The hotel is so so much better.
- Lisa (4/5): Location and that is were it stop - The unit has a very strong cigarette smell. Masterbath not working. Overall cleanliness is questionable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Shopping Mall was outstanding, very good location and access to raillink, great for short or long stay for a family of 5
- shahrulamin (8/5): - awesome and nice
- Wong (6/5): - there are many people who call me after i called to tell them i had arrived, all telling me to wait. 1 guy brought us into the lobby then tell us wait again, den another 2 person called me at the same time when im at the lobby. the room condition is not up to expectation, there are harping carpets which are tripping hazard, no floor mat, rusty kettle. however, after contacting them, they had changed new kettle but had to wait 2h later. during checkout, we had to wait 45min, lucky we just need to wait in the room and not in a rush. However, their service is good after waiting, a guy help us to bring our luggages to our car at the carpark below.
- customer/guest (4/5): - i will never prefer this property again in the future
- Marilou (10/5): Fantastic place - Very nice place for tourist...close to everything..malls mrt train and restaurants. ..very accommodations to stay
- YS (6/5): - Just accommodation is fine. Property is not in tip top condition except location is good.
- hugo (10/5): - Nice place n the agent is very friendly...i will come back nxt time..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very cozy environment. food easily accesible from the mall
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Thought trying out this property since I've stayed at Berjaya Times Square Hotel few times.
The bed linen, towels, washrooms & kitchens utensils were quite dirty.
There's only 1 access card each for room & lift so quite inconvenient for family to move in and out in pairs at staggered timings.
Daily housekeeping was automated since there's no tag for request. It would be good to inform guests of housekeeping time though.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No proper check-in reception facilities but runs by private individual agent. Only one set of keys to apartment which is not convenient. Poor housekeeping and poor maintenance of apartment. No complimentary car park fees. Car park fees payment machine do not accept all currency denominations.
- Monica (4/5): Good in location - Choice of wall colors were weird - blue painted room and hall painted in pink. The apartment doesn't look new and is unlike as published photos. Nevertheless hotel location is good for shopping around the city.
- Julia (4/5): High Price For Disastrous Experience - Stayed for 3 nights at one of the room, no hot water. Blackout occurred on the 3rd night with smell of burnt wire. Have to move to another level during late night! Had a problem locking the door of the given room. Paying a high price for a disastrous stay at Times Square Service Suites
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was good size, location is ideal, and the view is good. Would be good for families. The bathroom was large but very dated. The room was clean but run down - old paint, wiring issues, etc. TV remote didn't work. Wi-Fi router and living room lights were connected to the same outlet, so when you turn off the lights, you kill the wi-fi as well. Check-in was confusing because there's no check-in counter or anyone in the lobby ready to assist. If you don't have a way to dial a Malaysian telephone, it will be impossible to check in. You can't get into the lobby from the mall (the most sensible way to enter) without a key; we were let in by someone who happened to be going in - otherwise, we would've had to go all the way around somehow. Then security interrogated us about our booking. They told us to to call the number on the reservation e-mail, some guy answers, "Hello," you explain you have a booking, and he comes to get you after a while. He leads you to a hotel room on the 40th floor which has been turned into an office. For checkout, you call the guy, he comes to your room to give you the deposit and collect the key. The staff was nice, we don't feel cheated, but this is not the kind of situation I expected to have from an Expedia-backed hotel. We regretted leaving our smaller, yet more conventional hotel. Although the staff was friendly, because of the weird check-in/check-out process, we won't be back.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible service suite - 1) I was unaware that there was on reception at the hotel "Berjaya Time Square Serviced Suites". Fortunately, i met a kind soul that told me that i was required to contact the agent for check-in. Following this, it took me ~30min to contact the agent and finally meet him.
2) Upon arriving in room, there was a malfunction in the electronic door lock whereby the lock did not recognise the key / always recognised any key. Agent told me to wait as there is insufficient battery in the key system. I waited for ~1 hour, for someone to arrive to fix it, and to my horror, it was not the issue, there was another issue. I then waited another hour for the maintenance person to arrive to fix it. This ruined my plans for the day.
3) The floor was carpeted, and at the edge of the carpets, it was stapled down, with the STAPLES POKING UPWARD AND UNSEEN (MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN). Two of my friends along with myself, had our toes pierced by these staples.
4) Toilet shower was of unconventional heating system (conventional: turn left for hot, turn right for cold). It was the opposite in this hotel for 1 toilet, right for hot, and left for cold. I was scalded when I was wanting to bathe in cold water.
5) Bathing towels were awful, there were yellow dirt stains along with physical dirt stuck on the towel upon arrival.
6) I was told to signal the agent the time i wanted to check out, he was 30min late, which once again ruined my plans for the day.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Super lousy apartment - Lousy service, old furniture, dirty room, leaking bathtub with water seeping through the bathroom wall to the room. Half the bedroom floor was wet ! The sofa cervices was filled with rubbsih such as tissue, peanuts etc. Towels old with holes... worst than a motel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Weekend in KL. - The checking was very late, Considering I reached there at 5am. There is no sitting at the lobby and just a security chair. Thankfully, The security was good and allowed me to rest in his seat for about an hour.
The problem was, without roaming there is no way to get in touch with the agent. No WiFi at the lobby level. I would have been stranded if the security wouldn't have helped make contact with the agent.
The good part is the apartment allotted was with wonderful view of the main attractions in KL, The twin towers and KL tower.
The room condition wasn't up to mark, There were cobb webs all over the ceiling and no glasses/water or plates, Something that is necessary for a service apartment. The water kettle was also very dirty and un-usable.
The washrooms was acceptable but with old fixtures. The bath tub was un-usable and dirty.
The bed was good and comfortable.
Verdict: Overall, it's overpriced. For this price we could find better options in Bukit Bintang area.
Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Enjoyed the stay..it's comfortable. - Great hotel for a short vacation with nearby shopping Centres and convenient location. Friendly staff and service with a smile.
- Verified traveler (10/5): It's a nice hotel, connected to mall & Train.
- I like the hotel because its connected to the shopping mall. and nearby is the Imbi train station that can go everywhere else. Thanks Mr Muhammad.
- Henry (10/5): Great place - A place with good services, convenience to get things as below is shopping mall. Near to Bukit Bintang.
- Rostinah (8/5): Spacious room, good location and shopping. - Had to wait long for checking in as there was confusion about the agent handling this hotel as there were few more hotels with quite similar names in the same premise. Large bathroom with bath tub and shower. Requested tiles to be mopped. Should provide paper towel or towels in the kitchenette and more plates and bowls. Stayed in triple room with one double bed and one single folding bed. Should provide two keys for elevator and room. Provides chairs or sofas at the lobby for elderly people.
- Koh (2/5): - This management has not delivered the room-bed type we requested for.
Room air conditioning is somehow remotely controlled by "others" and worked on timer rather on thermostat set temperature - it operates "On" & "Off" remotely with noisy compressor noise at night. The room thus become very stuffy and hot when room sole ventilation stopped. None alternative casement windows to open
Floor is dusty and toilet floor is wet.
Unable to try the bath tub - because not anti-slip mat is provided.
Toilet has insufficient towels - but was fortunate we got what we insisted when walk around.
Worst of all you need to make an oversea call if you need any amenities or replenish for toilet paper - The contacts avail to the room guest is a local country telephone number.
Toilet bowl was "cracked" and cut into flesh - we have to wrap up with toilet paper before use.
Upon check-out - we also need to make an oversea call to inform the management the check-out time. Above in-exchange to collect back the deposit monies we pay for this stay.
We took some photos of the poor amenities but has no intention to post/share - We will not try this kind of hotel/room management service again in future selection..
- Tiong (8/5): Very good location. - Big room and very good location. Worth for money.
- Court (10/5): Good location - Was great, broken lock got fix with no problem, but shower/bath was cold, no hot water and we had a baby so we had to do about 10 jug boils to make a warm bath to bath our baby other then that was great :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good weekend getaway - Almost the same as booking the hotel. However do take note to areange with the agent in advance for checkin as it cannot be done at the hotel reception. Security guard was friendly and helpful to contact the agent. Plenty of amenities nearby and convenient location. Overall a pleasant stay.
- Richard (10/5): Very Good - very spacious and comfortable! - Stayed 19 May - 20 May 2018. We really enjoyed the stay at the property.
Very spacious and clean, very comfortable beds. Nice view from the room.
The staff also is very friendly and offer help. Thank you!
