Guest Reviews
- Gaynor (8/5): -
- Sonam (9/5): "Overall, I was very happy with my stay. - Great location Ground floor studio not much room for lounging and kitchen window was stuck could open it. So cooking was a challenge
- Faleh (8/5): -
- Keenan (7/5): -
- Mohammed (1/5): Not recommended for more than one person - Good for one person only It’s very small, only fit for one person.
Also, there was construction across the road, which was not disclosed and did not make the experience good and you can’t enjoy quality time during the day.
- Teigan (8/5): Very good - A very nice property, clean, and well organised The mattress was quite hard, but that is just personal preference, the property was great
- Suzan (2/5): Very poor -
- Cynthia (8/5): Very good - Nice location, close to transportation options, restaurants, and quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Would have liked a small sofa, rather than a single armchair. The bed was a bit hard. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints!
- Abdulmajeed (1/5): Bad -
- Marija (8/5): Easy contact with the host, quick response on any issues, clean studio and well equipped. - Location is fantastic, close to Paddington Station and many Metro stations, quiet and clean area, many good restaurants and coffee shops The studio is on the ground floor, looking at the street. There are no curtains on the windows, so the blinds must always be down for privacy, which I didn't like
- Kasper (9/5): Comfortable, central yet not too noisy - Super location, central and easy to get to! Place was quiet enough as Wyndham Road is a one-way street, and the place was comfortable, clean and nice! Will come back! :)
- Konstantinos (3/5): Uncomfortable and disappointing stay - The location. The apartment was not spotlessly clean and had a weird smell, particularly in the kitchen. Two sleepless nights due to an extremely uncomfortable and hard bed and high and uncomfortable pillows... Having a shower was a nightmare, as the water didn't have pressure and the temperature would constantly change from burning hot to cold all the time. This is too basic to be an issue in an apartment of this price. I will not go into details such as the fact that it had a Nespresso machine but no capsules were offered. There are many simple things you can do for a guest to make them feel comfortable, and rightfully claim you are in the hospitality business, and these were missing.
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Iain (6/5): Pleasant - Bed was so noisy, squeaky and not good mattress
- Miles (3/5): A reasonable flat ruined by completely unhelpful (absent) management with no on-site staff - N/A
Self catering I requested a ground floor flat in view of my recent surgery and use of a crutch, this was declined. I was allocated the first floor which required me to negotiate a very steep external stair, and an even more vertiginous inner stair multiple times daily. This gave me enormous pain all day.
You are requested to provide an ESTIMATED time of arrival, however my flight arrived early and I had a very quick taxi transfer, so was 2 hour early. The door code is programmed to the estimated arrival, and a call to the (No) Help desk resulted in a complete obstructive attitude. I settled down to a 2 hour wait sitting on the stairs. Fortunately, a visiting supervisor serendipitously turned up after an hour and kindly over-rode the door lock.
When a friend wished to bunk down overnight, I emailed the No-Help line to request a trundle/camp bed. This service was refused.
- Natalia (7/5): The location was excellent, but the bed is very uncomfortable. - The location is great, Marylebone station is like a 5min walk away , Baker Street and Edgware like a 8min. The bed is really uncomfortable and they don’t refill the toilet paper
- Phillip (5/5): Great location, apartment clean but not well maintained with little care in ensuring that the apartment was in order for - Location Poor value for money. We paid good money but while clean, the apartment was poorly maintained. The shower was broken, the safe was locked, there were no instructions for the heating, limited kitchen equipment (e.g. no chopping board, only one wine glass) light in kitchen and bathroom flickered.
- Scheherazade (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness Bit small - bed needs to be bigger and more comfortable
- Ribeiro (10/5): PERFECT . - wonderful place, incredible. my favorite. incredible location, gym nearby, markets, bars and restaurants. worth spending more than a week or a month in this place. perfect and pleasant. wonderful beds. Comfortable, lots of pillows, fragrant and clean blanket. every detail in the house makes the environment better. I stayed in an apartment with a balcony. which was perfect to feel the wind outside.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When I arrived the air conditioning wasn't working, but it was resolved the next day.
They could also make an exception for early check in. After all, it's very late. It could be 3:00 pm. That would be much better. There's also no possibility to store your bags.
- Irmina (8/5): Very good -
- Thaher (9/5): Perfect location - Perfect location, excellent price, great design, fairly clean Require minor maintenance and it smelled a bit bad.
- Shahyan (9/5): Superb -
- Ahmed (10/5): I highly recommend booking a such well- organized and super clean apartment - The apartment was super clean and organized. The bathroom and the kitchen met my expectations. All things were fine. The location is exceptional. All what you need near from the property. Everything
- Adasolum (9/5): Would recommend to anyone who really wants to experience the city center - Location, layout and services Nothing really unless I want to be picky the basement apartment as there was not much to view.
Then again, that’s being picky
- François (8/5): Nice and convenient place in very good location. - Very convenient and comfortable apartment, clean, quiet and very well located in West End London near 3 tube stations and several bus stops. The area is nice too with supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Will certainly choose it again next year. As we were on the ground floor (on our request) it would have been nice to have net curtains on windows for our privacy. Would be nice also to have a means to switch off the radiator in the bathroom as it was very hot.
- Liam (5/5): After sales service very poor when we had a problem and our check-in was delayed an hour due to the space not being read - Very central The armchair was soiled and dirty which made us feel uncomfortable about the cleanliness of the property
- Jody (6/5): Terrible beds! - Liked the location, clean and safe apartment. The bed was terrible, as many others have commented with nothing done about it. A small, mean, very hard bed (you can feel the springs) not big enough for two people, when the room could take a much larger bed. Also no soundproofing with the upstairs apartment, was woken frequently by the person above just walking around. The rooms are allocated randomly so you can't choose your room - I'm grateful we didn't get the awful basement room, but having someone above us was not great.
- Tom (7/5): Overall lovely but the bed was too small and flimsy - The room was lovely, the location is fantastic For two people the bed is very small and kinda flimsy.
- Scott (10/5): Thanks - Clean, had everything and great location Nil
- Renee (9/5): Comfortable and in a central location - Really well stocked kitchen! Towels were soft and quite big which was nice. The bed was extremely comfy and the pillows were so lovely to sleep on. Place was exceptionally clean and had ample amount of space for myself (solo traveller) but I think this still would have been super comfortable for 2 people though the bed is only a double (not a queen). Communication between the host was quick and easy and the apartment is in a really great location and on a mostly quiet street despite being so close to Marylebone road. The bell at st Mary’s chimes at least once an hour from 8am to 10pm, sometimes at random times during the hour and it’s quite loud. Fine during the day or if you’re not home but was annoying when trying to get some sleep before an early flight. Equally as annoying was the neighbour’s sensor light which came on each time someone walked past of a night time. As there is no blind on the front door to the apartment, this bright light woke me up several times during the night.
No hand soap provided in the bathroom or kitchen.
- Matthew (8/5): It was clean, rugs were a little bit worn but overall good - Location was great, Property had stairs that weren’t mentioned
- Miri (8/5): Great experience - The apartment is great for 2-3 people. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The place of the apartment is close to bus and train stations and also the owner of the apartment was very nice and answered our questions/ requests right away. The extra bed was uncomfortable and the apartment was on -1 floor with the trash cans.also you need to pay extra if you want more towels.Other than that everything wad great.
- Rhuan (1/5): Misleading listing. Don’t trust the pictures - The location is the only positive side. Close to everything you need. The listing is very misleading. They put pictures of the 2 apartments they have in the ground and upper floor and suddenly they send you to a basement apartment where everything is totally different from the pictures. It’s dark, cold and very claustrophobic. Bathroom cleanliness is terrible. Bed is too small. Please read all the negative reviews about it. There are plenty with pictures as well.
- Claudia (9/5): Great stay and excellent team response when needed - Central, quiet, very clean and comfortable
- Johann (5/5): Apartment in quiet street in Marylebone, but check accessibility - Centrally located in a quiet street close to Marylebone Station & Landmark Hotel. Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom & front door are situated at different levels with a very narrow, steep and hazardous staircase connecting them. This apartment is not suitable for people who have mobility issues or if you have heavy luggage!
- Sturn10 (4/5): Didn't get what we were specifically hoping for when we rented this. - The layout of the apartment was nice. It was clean, and the bathroom/shower was fine. 1) This rental was for a father and adult son. The bed was not very big, so we were going to have one of us sleep on the sofa bed, but there were no sheets or covers for it. When we asked, we were informed it was going to cost an extra 60 pounds to get those! So we both slept on the bed, but the cushioning wasn't very good; it felt itself like a hide-a-bed. 2) The washer was a washer/dryer unit, but it was so small that only two pairs of pants could be reasonably washed at once, or perhaps only three or four shirts. The combined cycle seemed to be more than three hours; we couldn't tell because we only saw it finished once when we came back in the evening after starting it in the morning; we were never successful in getting it to finish when starting it at night, and it was noisy enough that we stopped it so that we could sleep. It also couldn't be opened immediately; it had to be powered off--not just paused--and then wait a couple of minutes before the lock would release.
- Miroslava (4/5): Bad - It was damp and moldly
Cold
Undergraund
- Aisha (3/5): Poor -
- Didier (8/5): Very good - Perfect location, nice and cosy Double bed could be larger and more comfortable...
- Lucila (7/5): Really good for a few nights! Great bed, clean and well located - The bed was very comfy. The kitchen had everything you need, including complimentary tea and instant coffee. The decor was very modern. Everything was super clean and tidy. The pub around the corner is excellent. I would've liked to have a coffee machine. The room was on the ground floor, but the advert showed top floor flats.
- Trudy (10/5): It was very serene and quiet and still right in the middle of London Town. The location couldn’t be better. Loved it - The location is excellent, mere minutes away from supermarkets, restaurants and high street shops. Train and bus stations were also very well situated making it easy to travel around London.
- Ahat (9/5): Superb -
- Hamoud (1/5): Bad - The experience was very, very bad. On the last day, I could not sleep well and decided to change the apartment. this is very sad. I called you and the trash smell was really bad. I did not receive any clear answer from you. I contacted you because of the internet. The second day the connection was cut off, and I did not receive any response from you until the third day. You gave me the code and the secret code was wrong. It is a bad experience. Very bad. The smell of garbage is very annoying. I do not advise anyone to rent from you.
- Elise (10/5): Very convenient location. Just enough space for 2. Nice decor. - Nice decor, clear instructions for entry, good shower/water pressure. The layout was very interesting - stairs inside the apartment up and down to get from the front door to the sleeping/living area and back up to access the bathroom near the front door.
- Lloyd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadia (7/5): It was good and the location was excellent. - The unit was self catering and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location was excellent . The bathroom is small and the water in the shower has very low pressure especially to wash long hair .
Also we stayed for 9 nights and the apartment was serviced after two nights and not again whilst we were there. It would have been nice to have had another basic service after a further 3 days.
- Jeongho (7/5): Good -
- Noyan (10/5): Great accomadation! - Good location: 5 mins walk to Marlyebone and Baker Street stations. You can walk to Mayfair and Marble Arch in 15 mins.
Very large flats, fully equipped with kitchen tools, everything was provided in it. TV had a smart feature which was good.
Secure building and flat door with coded systems. Great price/performance balance.
I prefer to stay again here if I visit London. The bed was a disappointment. Really small comparing to room size and it was a combination of two single beds.
It was the only negative thing about this flat.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very pleased - Clean and spacious Nothing
- Zaki (7/5): Good - Location was great! We were given the lower level room which had a sewer smell. When you look at the photos and book you think that you are staying at ground level accommodation. We were informed much after the booking was made that we might be assigned a lower suite - this is a bit deceptive as that is not what you are booking based on the photos.
- Nawaf (10/5): Exceptional -
- Enrico (8/5): Very good -
- Randy868 (9/5): 1st Visit to London - The room, bed ,shower and kitchen. Also, having a washing machine was perfect. The location was perfect as well between two train stations, close to bus stops and a street where you can get everything.
- Salim (6/5): Good apartment, bad service - Nice location and the apartment itself is very well maintained and newly renovated. Their customer support wasn't very helpful. First of all, when we checked in at 4 pm, the apartment wasn't ready, housekeeping was still cleaning it. Then, they only provided 2 toilet paper rolls and 1 set of those tiny hotel shampoo and shower gel which is not enough for 2 people staying for 7 nights. We requested more, they said they only provide this and we would need to buy our own if we need more, so we ended up buying our own. There was also no ice tray in the freezer, we requested one, they said they will check if they have but we would have to pay a fee for it, they never got us one. I expected better customer support. They also insist that housekeeping and maintenance should be able to access the flat at any time, you cannot opt for a do not disturb period for all or part of your stay. The maintenance guy almost walked in on us 1 time had we not locked the door from the inside. We tried telling them that we're only staying for 7 days so we don't need housekeeping and maintenance, but they insisted that this is not an option and that housekeeping and maintenance always need access to the apartment.
- Ron_fern (4/5): Nice appartment, with very bad service - Good location, close to the tube and quiet. Spacious apartment Communication with host was terrible. Before arrival I send few mails before I got any answer, which was not even relating to what I asked. Upon arrival we could not get hold of the host. They confirmed early check in, but the code did not open door. When we finally got hold of host and got into the apartment, we found it wasn't cleaned after previous guest!
Cleaner arrived only later, and we had to wait couple more hours for it to be cleaned.Host promised compensation but did not send it. feels like total disrespect towards us as clients
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (9/5): Wonderful location and apartment. Would stay here again with newer expectations. - The location is excellent. Couldn't ask for a better location. My son will be going to school nearby so it was a terrific base. The apartment was definitely luxury compact and pretty much had everything to make one feel comfy. flexibility with early check in. they wouldn't budge and we arrived at 7am from halfway around the world.
also, cleaning day should stay with Wednesday as the room guide describes. Friday cleaning when we leave Sunday was pointless almost.
more toiletries. if there are 2 people booked, 2 sets would be good to last the stay.
- Becky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeremy (9/5): Fantastic and pretty good value for money - Great location, well set up, spotlessly clean, super convenient, well managed and good communication Water pressure in the shower a bit weak
- Jo (1/5): Misery in Marylebone - The location. The interior of the building was very shabby, the flat itself wasn't very well equipped, and the electrics were dodgy. The flat was clearly done on the cheap and was very far from deluxe. It was also up quite a few stairs which weren't that easy to navigate with luggage as the staircase was extremely narrow. We also think that there were bedbugs in the bed as we woke up in the morning covered in bug bites. It was quite alarming.
- Claire (8/5): Very good - Excellent central location
- Gabriel (10/5): A very good place. I will use the facility on another visit - Cleanliness small bathing area
- Kareem (3/5): Very poor compared to flat 7 - Location Tv did not work. No shutters on ground floor windows. Shower head broken.
- Chima (10/5): friendly neighborhood and nice apartment 👌🏽 - nice location with good ambiance , just the bed wasn’t really comfortable
- Thy (7/5): Good - The location was great, though staying on the top floor got very tiring !!! There was no air conditioning or ceiling fan and it was a very hot summer.
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (9/5): Had everything I needed, and super close to shops, pubs, snd trains. - Location! Stairs and construction outside required a lot of effort with luggage.
- Linda (5/5): Wyndham St is a good location but basement flat with underground rooms make it disappointing. - First impressions were tarnished mirrors on wardrobe and smell from drains. So not great!
Appartment was clean but grouting of tiles in shower need thorough clean to remove mildew stains.
- Deirdre (10/5): Exceptional - A fabulous apartment is very central and easily accessible by tube.
Any queries with staff were answered swiftly and helpfully. Can't wait to stay here again!!
- Faisal (4/5): Disappointing -
- Marco (9/5): Superb - Central and clean
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Sam (10/5): 10/10 would 100% visit again. - The property was light and airy (even in 27° temperatures) it was clean and well maintained, plenty of utilities around the whole apartment to make our stay like a home from home. Everything we had planned was only a short walk or tube ride from the apartment. The only thing we can say is that you can hear everything from the apartment upstairs, they had a small child up there that was running around until midnight every night of our stay, apart from that we have nothing negative to say.
- Solo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - very central
- Banke (1/5): HORRIBLE - I DID NOT ENJOY MY STAY IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I CHECKED OUT THE MINUTE I ARRIVED AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME REFUND. EVEN AFTER BI EXPLAINED MY CHILD HAD CANCER AND COULD NOT CLIMB THE STAIRS. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE . I DO NOT RATE THIS FACILITY AT ALL I DID NOT ENJOY MY STAY IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I CHECKED OUT THE MINUTE I ARRIVED AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME REFUND. EVEN AFTER BI EXPLAINED MY CHILD HAD CANCER AND COULD NOT CLIMB THE STAIRS. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE . I DO NOT RATE THIS FACILITY AT ALL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL
- Özgür (6/5): check-in problems -
- Ariel (2/5): Do not adverise the best apartment you have and then give me a much smaller one. - The apartment is in a great location and well equipped. It was clean and easy to get in. It seems that we did not get the apartment that is advertised. In the site they give a picture of a nice apartment with a nice sofa and a nice kitchen. They also say that it is 39 meter squared. We decided to take this place because we planed to stay quite a lot during our 4-night visit. So, we decided to add some money and enjoy a relatively large place. However, when we got in it we understood that we got a different apartment than the one that is advertised. The apartment was in the basement. Well, not that bad. But, we then see that there is no sofa, just a chair instead. But the most irritating issue was that the apartment was much smaller than the one advertised. Certainly not 39 meters. Maybe half. No waking area and no area to sit together, besides a small table and two chair and the other chair I just mentioned. The bed itself was relatively small and very narrow. Maybe 1.5 meters. We did not sleep well due to this. We feel that wee were cheated. We emailed the host, Flying Butler. They answered very fast saying that they have many apartments in the building and they cannot give a photo of each apartment. They said that the one you get depends on your arrival and availability. We do not accept this response. You cannot give a photo of a large apartment and then give me a much smaller one. We feel that we were cheated.
- kristee (6/5): - The location is lovely and has easy access to the tube. The apartment walls are very thin and every opening of a door to the entire apartment complex is heard and felt. Any smells from other apartments are in the ventilation. We also had ants all over the apartment. The bed linens are like sandpaper.
- Annabelle (7/5): central location, mouldy subterrain - the location was perfect it had a mouldy smell to it
- Peter (7/5): Good apartment but slightly mislead - Comfortable bed and clear bathroom. Good price and very close (approx 5min walk) to Marlybourne train and tube station Apartment in need of renovation. Pictures made it look like there would be a separate living room and bedroom which there was not.
- David (7/5): Good - the mattress was awful and the first time we got there
we were locked out till the service got us the right code for the door.
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Tobias (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Tomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abubakar (10/5): I will always stay there whenever I am in the uk - it in good location
- Georgina (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (6/5): cute flat in a great location - the property is clean and has everything you might need. there is an area that has a desk and dedicated work space. this was very helpful. the washer was also useful. the place was clean , and came with a starter pack for dishes, laundry, toiletries. great great location , walkable to multiple tube stops unfortunately check in was confusing. we had been sent the directions for flat 1 , when we were given flat 4. also upon re entry the next day our door code didn’t work. making me late for a work meeting. staff was available by phone and sorted it. but it was an inconvenience. other than that everything was great.
- Efrat (2/5): - My recommendation is to not stay with Flying Butler - some of their apartments are in ground floors and basements, and the tiny studio I got in Baker street had nothing to do with any of the photos - the bed is literally in the kitchen.
I Preferred to move to a hotel than have anything to do withthis company and their reservation manager which repeatedly gave me intentional wrong information, not to mention a
refund.
- Nicole (8/5): great location, clean and new apartment. looked bigger in pictures . - great location
easy access, very clean and new pillows were awful - far too thick and hard. had to buy some for the 2nd night !
- Mohamed (8/5): Very good -
- Sevda (3/5): horrible basement floor like a prison!! - nothing they booked me the basement floor room even tho we told them we didnt want it!!! it was like a prison. bad smell in the room. they changed the room after 3 days and new room had no cleaning for 7 days!
- Arlyn (5/5): I don’t care about the no lift for my baggage but the bed was the most horrible experience and can’t wait to get home be - location the bed was old and uncomfortable
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - the flat was same as pictures exactly the bed comfortable and everything clean there is no sofa just armchair
- Lea (7/5): Good -
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rashed (5/5): Passable -
