Guest Reviews
- Palmer (10/5): -
- Corwin (10/5): Best Little Bridge House in Amsterdam - I loved the view! I love the comfy bed! I loved how close it was to Vondelpark! Reading the reviews and hearing people complain about the noise, unless youre trying to sleep mid-day the noise is not a problem!

- V (8/5): Een enorm leuke ervaring.
- Rafael (8/5): - Cool, funky property. Comfy bed. Near the bus lines I needed to get around. Exceedingly loud. Every time a car passed over the adjacent bridge, it sounded like the world was ending. They provided ear plugs, but only helped so much.
- Richard (8/5): -
- Daniele (6/5): Ottimo, ma dovete mettere i vetri insonorizzanti - Struttura Molto bella, pulita e confortevole. Rumore esterno, Rumore del Tram sul pinte
- Jacquelien (8/5): - Bijzonder om zo te overnachten op zo'n unieke plek. Omgevingsgeluid kwam goed binnen...
- Martin (10/5): Have stayed there several times and will stay again in future -
- Baris (10/5): Absolutely wonderful and sweetest place you could stay. - I think this is the most unique and surprisingly comfortable stay you are going to find in the entirety of Amsterdam. Perfect for couples to just feel like literally you are the part of the city but also incredibly secluded because from the outside you'd never think someone is living inside these tiny homes.
- Bart (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great! Lots of activity around, cosy restaurants, shops, parks etc If you are a light sleeper then the bridge is too noisy, especially when the teams cross it, the sounds are really loud
- Eivind (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic to be bridge master! 😊
- Diem (7/5): Good - Big bed and good bedding Too close to the bridge, streets, and noisy. It is small.
- Eline (8/5): Very good - The location was very nice...beautifull space/place
Our door code didn't work but we called Sweets and were able to get inside within a couple off minutes We couldn't get the heater started...and the toilet was very low
- John (10/5): Would stay again - The apartment/hotel room was great. Sitting right on the canal. A couple minute walk from the closest tram station. Everything you need was a couple minutes away.
- Smith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jan (9/5): Superb -
- Aaron (4/5): Too noisy. - It was a really nice property, clean, easy access, comfortable bed and Instagramable (if that matters) etc. It’s too close to a tram line that runs all night. The tram goes over a metal bridge and vibrates the whole building every 10-15 minutes. I didn’t sleep at all and that ruined the second of my two days in Amsterdam.
- Alison (10/5): A privilege to stay in a bridge house! - Fascinating place to stay. Has all you need despite the small space. Loved watching the bridge open! When we had a query, the staff were very responsive and lovely. Would prefer a better washbasin (with a plug) and a separate one in the toilet.
- Helge (10/5): Glimrende! Anbefales - Dette er et fantastisk kult overnattingssted. Nær trikk, så man kommer raskt til sentrum. Stor dagligvare rett ved. Svært god seng. God utsikt. God service, og god kommunikasjon med kundeservice. En opplevelse som anbefales.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unique! - The property was perfect and unique! except for the noise around and the wifi connection was a little bit slow 😁overall..it’s highly recommended 👍
- Alexandra (4/5): Very expensive for what you get - Nothing Everything, especially the loud noise from the tram next to it
- Smith (10/5): Beautiful quirky property in a perfect location. - The property was so quirky and original and we loved the location too. it was beautifully renovated with the most comfortable bed. We loved watching the boats on the canal too.
- John (9/5): Superb - Unique type accommodation
Location
Super big bed n comfortable Noise of bridge but ear plugs help
Very expensive.
Extreme poor wifi ....not usually with Sweets
- Matuteb (9/5): Unique and history-filled place - It is a great spot with a privileged view of the channels. This is something unique and beautiful. For me, that is the only thing that makes the place worthwhile. It is small but cozy, decorated in continuation of the original function of the building. I loved staying in this unique and history-filled place, still holding the original switchboard and the actual chairs controllers used to have. I really appreciated the book explaining the role this post played in the extensive network of bridge controllers in Amsterdam. It worked great for us. I had some issues with getting the software to open the door to work. The time response from the host was not that swift. It wasn't much of an issue since I was doing this from the train. This was mainly on me, since I was not able to find the correct app in AppStore. Still, the system is set up in a way that if you are planning to get into the room exactly at 4 pm when they open it for you, it might be difficult if you experience some sort of setback, and you might want to consider having a coffee somewhere while you sort things out.
The room has some nice LED lights to set up a nice chill mood in the evenings. Still, those do not work very well. There seems to be some false contact that makes them flicker or just shut off. Regarding other amenities, the Wi-Fi was not great, and I had issues when joining a couple of video conferences. After a while, I restarted the router, and that seemed to solve the issue but I never did an intensive use of the Wi-Fi again.
The place is small and is equipped with that in mind. The fridge is very small, enough to store a bottle of wine, some fruits, and perhaps some cheese or cold meats. Not much more space. No microwave or food-heating device besides an electric kettle. If you don't like eating out that much, you will have to go for soups, salads, or good old cheese and bread.
- Jure (10/5): Exceptional - Great hotel right on the canal. Used to be a control room for passing boats which was turned into a hotel. Bed was very comfortable. N/A
- Nicola (8/5): Very cute bridge house with nice view - Nice view, cute and comfortable room. Easy self check-in. The room is located right by the tram line, which is very noisy. The toilet is a bit cold.
- Irçağ (10/5): Exceptional - It is a beautiful cabin on top of the canal, has amazing view of the city.Inside of the cabin is decorated beautifully as well. Only thing is that it is a bit far away from the city, but with the tram it is 20 minutes from the center.
- Maya (9/5): Fun experience in historical tiny house. Was fun and comfortable - Nice unique experience. Great location Everything was good. The location is not quiet but this was known to begin with and didn't bother us
- Moore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jarek (5/5): interesting experience ... but not likely to be repeated - location good enough* ; good thing there was hot tea in the room ;)
There was a place for breakfast in the area the access code to the facility did not work; after giving a new code, it still didn't work ...
I lost a lot of time and nerves to determine the entrance to the facility
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Stefanie (8/5): Marvellous - Amazing opportunity to stay in a unique location. Noisy bridge
