If your out partying then this will be OK. If u want a early night. You will not get one There are no hotel facilities. Vending machine in reception. Although shower room is nice, due to being a wet room, the floor has been made to level instead of sloping, so does not drain into drain, so yes previous people have said your standing in a puddle when on the toilet, this is still valid.

• Julian (3/5): Very Expensive Hotel but NOT nice to stay - The location Upon check in we find out that the toilet sliding door wasn't closing they sent somebody to fixed it but unfortunately he cannot fixed and i went back to reception. She transferred us in 4th floor but the room wall is very low.you could bang your head if when you wake up that you forgot the wall is very low.i went down again and i said i told her about the room.reception said there was no room available and i did explained to her she said she cannot do anything more.and i said i will call booking.com and she said booking.com cannot help me with these things. Small rooms and pillow are not filling inside.Better to go somewhere else..

• Jim (4/5): Grotty overpriced hotel - Good location, staff were generally friendly although to be honest they didn’t have to do much for us besides store our cases for a few hours In our room the blind was broken. Where there had previously been blinds they had been replaced with Scruffy curtains. There was only One bedside lamp. There was coffee but no tea. There were no useable mirrors in the room so you couldn’t put on your make up or look at your clothes. The set up of the Shower room meant that the floor was always wet so you were treading water in the room every time you went to the bathroom. The extractor fan didn’t work The room was poky and badly laid out You could only open one window and it was hot in April; would be dreadful in the summer. The room was generally grotty and poorly maintained, as was the hotel reception. Totally overpriced. We cancelled our reservation there for our final night of the holiday when we return to Amsterdam and booked a much nicer hotel with breakfast for less money. I would not recommend or revisit this hotel.

Nosotros elegimos el hotel porque ponía que tenían carga eléctrica y parking, pero no es cierto, sugieren pagar los parkings del centro que son más de 50€ al día o ir a las afueras

• brendamO3147IQ (2/5): Do not stay at Sotel Hotel in Amsterdam. - Terrible experience. Had to find another hotel to stay because the hotel was not clean and not at all as pictured. Pretty sure a prostitute was next door as there were rainbow lights coming from the window and she was coming and going late at night. Plus the noise was not tolerable. I was suppose to stay 2 nights but didn’t even stay 1 because Sotel Hotel was unbearable. I was not refunded any money and was only in the room a half hour before finding another hotel. I have never written a negative review online but I don’t want anyone to be in the situation I was in. DO NOT STAY HERE! Filthy, bad area and beyond overpriced.

Muchas gracias!! La ducha no está separada en el piso con el resto del baño, con lo cual al ducharse, se moja todo el piso.

Hotel central and - It was very central and near the train station First room very small, window view full old buildings rubbish . Bathroom was in the bedroom with glass frame as entrance. We upgraded to another room it was much nicer number 201 has window view out onto street. Plus you can open window. Night time the room was cold no heating in room. There a coffee machine room nice coffee however it would be nice if the left milk sugar and spoons in the room

La douche qui fuit et qui n’est pas réparé malgré notre signalement. Impossible de ne pas inonder la salle de bain en prenant une douche. La petitesse de la chambre. La porte de la salle de bain qui coulisse mal. La vue sur des arrières cours. Nul part ou ouvrir sa valise et aucun placard pour ranger les affaires.

• Rachel (9/5): An amazing stay for my birthday trip away! - Very clean room, modern bathroom, welcoming staff and very good location! My partner and I visited Amsterdam for a quick city break for my birthday and the hotel was the perfect fit for us as we were out all day exploring the city. Amazing location- 5 minute walk from the canal tours, lots of local shops and food options varying in price. The staff went above and beyond leaving balloons, drinks, snacks and a lovely note to help us celebrate my birthday that little bit more so thank you very much! I wondered being so close to the trams, train station that we'd hear a lot of street noise but with there being double windows we didn't hear a thing. Bed was very very comfortable. The shower hose leaked a little bit- but didn't bother us or the use of the shower.

Rooms a little dated but overall a great stay and we would stay here again. Staff were lovely and attentive and they left some goodies in my daughters room for her birthday. All staff wished her a Happy Birthday which was really nice! Thank you for a lovely stay Its a shame they don't offer breakfast

Super easy check in - it doesn’t look like much in reception but stayed on the fourth floor in a very cute attic room. Bed, room temp, wet room all well maintained with nespresso machine for coffee. Access to lots of shops restaurants and amenities - plus easy access to the station. Would def recommend for an overnight stopover on way to station

• Matilde (3/5): 1/5 stjerner ville vi gi, fordi det var så koldt på værelset - Da vi tjekket ud, var personalet meget flink og venlig. Det var SÅ koldt på værelset, og varmen virkede ikke. De havde sprøjtet med parfume inde i rummet inden, som lugtede meget kraftigt og ligesom “billigt”, som om det var fordi der ikke var rent ved vi ikke. Og elevatoren var SÅ lille. Vi kunne kun stå 2 personer med vores kufferter inden, og det var ligefor vi blev klemt. Hvis vi havde haft mere med så var der ikke plads til os begge to i elevatoren da den var så lille. Vi brugte kun hotellet da det var det eneste der var ledigt pga. aflyst fly, ellers så er det ikke er værelse vi vil bestille igen fordi det var SÅ koldt.
