Guest Reviews
- Emil (7/5): - Good size room, double bed, jacuzzi in the room. One side of the bed was skweeky, probably because people is sitting on the edge of the bed watching tv.
- Jeremy (8/5): -
- Tristan (7/5): -
- Manuel (10/5): - The room was enormous.
The bed was very confortable.
And the best was the bathtub after a whole day walking and sightseeing.
- Sionagh (9/5): Where we needed to be for wedding at Islington town hall and easy walk back after party celebrations - No breakfast at site but very good cafes nearby All on phone- very kind and helpful but quite like to have a face to face at reception
- Pietro (9/5): -
- Hani Younis (5/5): - Clean Not a hotel.
- Becci (1/5): Terrible. - Location and room great. Noisy guests in the room next door on both nights made our stay unbearable. Was offered a refund for one night but never got it. A great shame as could have been lovely.
- Pauline (10/5): -
- Lynda (6/5): Jacuzzi room - 20 minute walk from both Angel and Highbury and Islington tube stations. 5 minute walk from a Tesco express and High Street Islington. Easy to check in and the room was clean and well stocked, with tea/coffee and shampoo/shower gel. Small problem locating the switch for the jacuzzi and a bit of a trial filling it with hot water, but it was welcome after hours of walking.
- Lizzie (8/5): -
- AKZHAN (7/5): Nice neighborhood, good for stay over a few nights - Clean basic room Acoustics
- KONSTANTINA (8/5): - Comfortable bed The temperature was not ideal...
- Anna (7/5): Very good - Location Itâs rather cheap to fill the soap bottle with water instead of just changing it đ
- Samantha (8/5): - Had a lovely stay here. Attended an event at the Union Chaple, walkable. The room was lovely, unique and very comfortable.
- Sanah (10/5): - The room was charming and had everything we needed for a short stay.
- Anjali (8/5): - The accomadation was really good. The reason for giving it four stars is upon arrival you had two very steep stairs we had to climb. We did not anticipate this. The room was beautiful. However the bed was a little to hard for my liking and our shower head would constantly fall off. Other than that we really liked our stay and the service was great! Reaching the nearest bus was a 5 to 10 minute walk and everywhere were Lime bicycles. This was great!
- Adrian (9/5): -
- Tyrone (9/5): -
- Jens (10/5): - It's super connected, amazing facilities, beautiful layout Only wee thing - wish I could have opened the bathroom window
- Simon (7/5): Enjoyed it, despite the technical issues. Would stay again. - Comfortable bed, very quiet. Whirlpool bath was a treat. The hour of work needed to fix the door to the room before we could use it. TV difficult to use. Couldn't open balcony doors (understandable for H&S but disappointing as it was a hot night).

- Jesmin (9/5): -
- Sadia (3/5): Won't be booking this again. - I liked the fact that there was a smart tv which was amazing because I could use the YouTube and Netflix. The hygiene was absolutely disgusting me and my friend both broke out in a rash after sleeping in the bed and using the water, the water itself was bad like the shower and jacuzzi was not what I thought it was there was barely any water coming out, the jacuzzi was filthy there were hairs in the tub and dirt I can tell that this property doesn't get clean. Do better.
- Alan (8/5): - Location very quiet area Floors and fittings a bit tired.
Walls fairly thin. Neighbours were enjoying themselves đ
- Stephen (10/5): - Great location, quick walk to the high street. Easy check in and room was clean, comfortable with great facilities (tea and coffee, tv, spa bath, shower. It was very quiet at night and bed was very comfortable. Could do with cleaning rubbish off the roof under the windows.

- James (8/5): - Stylish room, easy access with great communication. Loved the bathroom styling, hot tub in the room and very clean and well presented. Good location - 15 mins walk from Angel tube station. Rooms not very soundproof - could hear everything from other rooms very clearly from the corridors, and to some extent within the room, too. The entrance from outside looks a bit run down, as a first impression it would be lovely if it looked more consistent with the nice decor and styling inside.
- Terry (7/5): Good apartment from tv and breakfast - Location was good.porridge like water, cooked breakfast lukewarm or cold Breakfast very poor. Couldnât get tv to work,as a rule I normally press button on remote and watch tv.Unable to do so on this tv
- Michelle (10/5): Excellent, clean comfortable- would definitely recommend - Very spacious, good facilities. Nothing
- Rebecca (6/5): Nice but wouldnât stay again - Property was a great location and the room was very large The hot tub whilst lovely you did feel when the jets were turned on it wasnât really clean.
When we arrived also the key fob wasnât working so the staff contacted us to install a regular key which we met them to do but it wasnât installed.
Then when we went out we had to come back because they changed their minds and wanted to install the lock again. It just ruined the flow of the night and was disappointing at their lack of fore thought
- Imogen (10/5): -
- Rachel (9/5): - We had to change our booking last minute following an accident and there was no problem doing this, which allowed friends to use our booking instead. Feedback was that the room was great and hotel in a fantastic location to access the wider area.
- Rachel (8/5): - Loved the hot tub
- Ela (10/5): - the room itself was lovely, clean and spacious for a great price and the jacuzzi was just great on its own. would definitely recommend to people looking at staying here
- Angela (5/5): My stay was disappointing. - The name. Close to shops The two flights of stairs, the absence of instructions for the shower, I ended up having cold showers, the narrow bathroom, no extension cord for the fan. So usage of the fan was limited which was a pain as it was very hot in the room. No clock on the wall, no mini fridge to keep the water cold. No comfortable lounge chair. And the TV would not work. I spent a few hours to fix it without any luck and then the staff tried and managed to get some free to air channels to work. Very frustrating & time wasting.
- Fulin (10/5): -
- Kerryann (9/5): Delightful trendy apartment - Apartment was lovely very light clean with everything you needed
Location to tube great just a short walk away but the walk is nice too
Will definitely be staying here again when visiting London
Staff very helpful and nice Liked everything
- Guest (1/5): - Could not get into the property, nobody in to let me inside, didnât get my stay đđ»
- Susan (9/5): Pleasant and comfortable - The welcome and friendliness of the staff (working in the bar below).
The quietness of the neighbourhood (except for a few loud passers by at night).
Comfy bed.
Good size room.
Proximity to Islington.
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Stuart (9/5): -
- David (7/5): - Ease of check-in was good and advance information was plentiful. The window in the toilet/shower room had no curtain whatsoever so anyone in opposite buildings would be able to look in.
- Marysia (10/5): -
- Charles (10/5): A quiet, relaxing corner of London to get away to for a long weekend away - - In a quiet, local neighbourhood
- Quite close to amenities for leisure travellers (breakfast, groceries, pubs, public transport)
- Rooms are up-to-date, tidy, and comfortable
- Great in-room amenities as well: fan for hot nights, jacuzzi - Poor signal for the television â needs a better aerial
- Some very light laminate damage around the jacuzzi (only noticed on the way out!)
- J (1/5): Naff old biscuit - The room was a good size I never do reviews but these cowboys deserve one. There is no reception. They WhatsApp you with random messages, and are singularly unhelpful when you ask them anything. It felt like this was intentional. It's a wind-up. Rather than do anything to sort out any issues you may have, they are derogatory, blame each other, and then you. I had to ask them about missing amenities and had numerous messages blaming the cleaner. Although this is listed on the room, then they claimed this is how they keep costs down (ÂŁ100 for a no-star in Angel?), and no humans are in sight. If you call they hang up on you and won't call you back. Also don't expect bathrobes as listed, shower gel, or biscuits that are in date.
- Fran (7/5): -
- Jacquiline (9/5): Ideal short stay accommodation - Good location nice area . All you need for a couple of nights stay. Clean and tidy. Found the spa bath in room unnecessary eyesore.
- kerry (8/5): -
- Karolina (9/5): -
- Lennart (9/5): -
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Danielle (9/5): Lovely find! - Great communication & easy to understand property access. Nice clean accommodation, very quiet area. Nice decor throughout.
Would I stay again absolutely
- Alexandra (7/5): Nice would stay again - Comfortable, mostly quiet, beautiful decor Breakfast wasnât great and toiletries were watered down but I would still stay again
- chrizao (9/5): -
- Phil (3/5): -
- Felicity (10/5): -
- SDPGWT (10/5): - everything ! nothing
- Leonardo (9/5): Simply Amazing - Jacuzzi in bedroom
- Ann (6/5): It was good, the bath was powerful. Good location, walked into Camden and to the show in the evening. - Location
Complementary drink on arrival was lovely. Stair carpet dangerous, it was loose and easy to slip as the stairs are steep.
Didnât arrange breakfast in time, we had to order it by 5.30 pm the evening before. We did not see the email in time because we went to a show
- Camille (8/5): -
- Rachel (9/5): -
- Hazel (10/5): Fantastic location for the Islington assembly hall which is why I was travelling - Location to the venue Would have liked a separate top sheet for
the bed as was a bit too warm for a duvet (just a suggestion) :)
- Halford (9/5): - Suited my needs perfectly. Bed was so comfortable. Went to a gig at Union Chapel. 15 minute walk from venue to accomodation, so no complaints whatsoever.
- Enciso (5/5): - La literie
- Laura (8/5): -
- Jordan (10/5): -
- Julia (8/5): Good value stay close to central London - Super location and a huge room! Jacuzzi bath was a lovely bonus. Coffee and tea facilities were a bit basic, no milk provided.
- Anna (10/5): - PodobaĆo nam siÄ Ćniadanie do pokoju i czyste wnÄtrze. Zbyt maĆa iloĆÄ kawy, cukru i mleka.
- Nicki (8/5): -
- Scott (10/5): - Thanks, great stay
- Beth (1/5): We left - we did not stay - Not applicable The whole experience. My colleague and I left and went to stay somewhere else. The rooms were grubby, blind in one room was broken and stuck open by the corner bath. Bedding was tired, un ironed and mismatched. Curtains flimsy so no privacy and huge light pollution. If you were 17 and a student then maybe this is place for you. For 2 working adults who needed to feel safe and rested not the place for us. The pictures on the website do not reflect our experience.
- Will (10/5): -
- Pam (8/5): - Quiet
Great location
Big room No toiletries
No toilet roll!
- Sharon (6/5): An ok stay - Pub and restaurant did not open during stay
Location was good and accessible for emirate stafium Required good ironed bedding better black out curtains a little tlc in the room and good quality towels
- Katie (10/5): - We stayed here to go to a concert at the Emirates Stadium. We were very happy with the hotel, the room was big and clean, lovely shower. It exceeded our expectations. Staff very responsive to message.
Only one thing to improve on would be the instructions on how to find the property as the door is quite hidden.
Very good stay, would recommend!
- Lisa (5/5): Stylish Boutique - I liked the style of the property although it was a little worn in places it was still quite pretty. The room was spacious and nicely styled. There was a kettle and some tea and coffee (not much though) which is a must for me. My friend loved the quiet location. The staff answered queries immediately via WhatsApp and the staff member who was on site was friendly. I felt it was value for money. I quite liked this hotel and feel a bit torn as I don't feel it deserves a poor review but one issue really let it down. (The sheets). The sliding door to the bathroom was broken, so we could not shut the bathroom door. The bed had been made but the sheets had not been changed between guests. They had been sprayed with something presumably febreeze but it smelled like fly spray! The seal and caulk around the jacuzzi was very worn . We didn't use the jacuzzi though. I personally wasn't keen on the location (a purely personal preference as my friend loved it) was a lovely area and was quiet but was a bit of a walk to the nearest tube. The sheets not having been changed is the only reason I would not book here again. Aside from that it was a pleasant place to stay.
- emma (5/5): -
- Ellie (6/5): Stay at Angel Townhouse - Iâve stayed previously and my mine reason is for the jacuzzi bath and the great location. The walls were really thin and it was especially noisy this time. This kept me up on my last night and so I requested a late check-out which was granted.
There wasnât enough loo roll or coffee.
No fridge in my room. Last time I had a fridge.
No room service due to the bank holiday.
- Paul (8/5): - Some of the facilities are a bit tired, broken blind for example A lack of tea/coffee/milk for a two night stay
- Maggie (10/5): -
- Emine (8/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): Excellent in all departments. Friendly, helpful staff. - All good. TV not working.
- MR M P (8/5): - We had a wonderful stay. Bed was a little hard. The curtains werent black out and the neighbours were a little noisy at times but the not the fault of the hotel. Overall would stay again
- Paulina (9/5): -
- Karen (7/5): A large spacious room. - Jacuzzi Number supplied was not answered key codes arrived 10 mins before check in. Curtains too thin meaning woke up too early.
- Paul (6/5): Reasonably priced, but really needs blackout curtains and a bathroom you can move in - The room itself was light and spacious
Pricing for London was reasonable This is a completely unstaffed property, with all comms via WhatsApp only, this does make for delayed responses, especially out of hours. When I stayed there the fire alarm panel was beeping loudly for an hour at ten at night after contacting the owner.
The bathroom was tiny, getting past the basin to the toilet was VERY narrow, a you bang your head on the opposite wall whilst sat on the toilet.
The floors creak when walking on them, the curtains and blinds do very little to stop the streetlights so sleeping was difficult. Not helped by the neighbouring room ordering a Chinese at midnight, loudly, the walls are not particularly thick and despite a note from the owners asking for residents to be quieter after 10pm it seemed to make no difference.
- Ăamon (7/5): -
- Erik (7/5): -
- Whitehead (1/5): We couldnât stay as access was not possible - Despite advising late arrival we couldnât get access
- Reece (6/5): -
- Billingsley (1/5): - Nothing Toilet was so near to the wall I had to sit sideways on it. âDesignerâ tap to the sink barely functions. Corner jacuzzi bath in room works well but after use and drawing there is lots of dirt left in the bath (the pipes must need cleaning) The sealant around the bath is degraded and coming away. The floor next to the bath is delaminating from water damage. The shower cubicle is not very clean. The sliding door to the shower room comes off its rail because ther is no end stop. This is dangerous as itâs a very heavy glass door. The sliding door gives no sound proofing between the toilet and bedroom. The bedding is cheap, the towels are old, thin and very small. Only one loo roll. rubbish in the parapet outside the window. No glasses for drinking water, just 2mugs, 1 teaspoon and very cheap coffee / tea sachets. TV remote doesnât work properly. Venetian blind broken. I guess this place looke really nice when it first opened but itâs not been maintained. The walls between the rooms are very thin and we could hear everything from the next room. There is no âroom serviceâ as advertised. When I went downstairs to ask there were 3 people in the otherwise empty sports bar who didnât seem to know whatâs going on and didnât have a good command of English. I asked for the breakfast at 9AM but they decided it was better at 9:30 AM. We went downstairs instead to see what had happened. Again the man didnât speak English very well but said that he had our breakfasts so I asked him if we could eat there to which he reluctantly agreed and then put loud music on. The breakfast was tepid and crammed into plastic containers and we were given flimsy wooden cutlery to eat it with. Overall this place is run for the benefit of the owners not the guests. They couldnât be less interested
- Greg (3/5): Exhausting - Great room, good location. Noisy neighbours having a party in the next room and using the jacuzzi late into the night. I spent ages trying to inform a member of staff and eventually got through after midnight. Noise didn't stop and jacuzzi went on into the early hours of the morning. terrible nights sleep. I have stayed before and it's been ok but this time on a Monday night was intolerable.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great value - Damm good value. As someone who uses hotels a lot in London, this was really good value. Room was massive had had all the room amanities of a hilton or other 4 star equivalent. But for a third of the price! Yes you don't get the hotel facilities, but honestly the room was really good and at a very reasonable price. Which for a mid week stay in London is hard to come by (unless it's Sunday)
