Guest Reviews
- Patrick (8/5): location ideal for Troxy - the location was perfect for the Troxy Venue not being given the code to get in until the man came. There really wasn't any need to be shown in, as they could have given a door code the day of arrival
- Angel (5/5): For budget conscious travelers who can walk with ease and don’t mind sacrificing sleeping. - + Staff was very friendly and willing to help - ZERO SIGNAGE FOR THE PROPERTY. Makes it very hard to find.
- Located in an extremely loud (and questionable) area. Windows have no sound proofing. Sirens all night. Yelling here and there. (I know it’s a city, but sound proofing helps.)
- Furniture was quite worn down.
- Bathroom tiles on the floor were broken and very sharp. Had to be very mindful of where we stepped, even with shower shoes.
- Shower was very very slick. No grip at all.
- Not easily accessible for anyone with difficulty walking. Very steep stairs and no elevator. You must go up stairs to get to all the rooms.
- Chaia (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (8/5): Excellent value and location - Easy, friendly, great location, good local amenities including nice cheap locals pub who were welcoming, good supply clean towels, tea, coffee etc. Has a small fridge which is useful. Netflix wouldn’t connect despite TV being on the network. Pillows a little lumpy but manageable. Plug in sink could do with mending but didn’t actually affect me personally
- Dhurba (6/5): Pleasant -
- Susan (3/5): Horrible - I didn’t like it nothing to keep windows open
Never cleaned
Nothing like the picture
- Uche (8/5): Very good -
- Rajesh (1/5): Bad -
- Ruman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cezary (3/5): You could do better elsewhere. - Not much. The room is small, with dust and cobwebs everywhere. It has a distinct musty, mouldy smell. The street is very noisy, and the windows fail to block any sound from outside. The room is situated directly above a Turkish restaurant, where the music can be heard at night, and in the bathroom, there is a noticeable smell of charcoal smoke. The bathroom is in dire need of a complete overhaul and deep clean, as mould can be found in the corners, along with significant stains. I decided against showering and opted to do so at home instead.
Would add more pictures but only 4 is allowed.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Deividdas (7/5): Good - price, location quite good quite small room and noise from street
- Matthew (7/5): Cheap and cheerful. Great value for money - Clean, comfy bed, convenient location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice private shower room and fridge in room. Only a short walk to tube station and plenty of amenities surrounding the building. Quite a bit of noise from the high street
- Tomek (1/5): Convenient location for commuting, but not recommended for sleeping or resting. The property is not worth the money I pa - The property is situated in a conveniently located area near a quaint yet busy road. However, due to the absence of air conditioning, it is difficult to sleep well as it is necessary to keep the windows open. The high level of noise from the constant traffic throughout the day and night makes it challenging to rest peacefully. According to my phone's built-in apps, the noise level measures between 75-82 decibels between 3 am and 6 am. The room appeared to be 15-20% smaller than advertised. The property was only cleaned once during my 7-day stay, and basic amenities such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and conditioner were not refilled despite my requests. There is no table to sit and eat or use the computer comfortably. The hair dryer is broken, the cleaning service is minimal. In room a all day. And noght it's very noisy when windows are open. The upper bed is suitable for two adults, while the downstairs bed is smaller. When two adults are in the upper bed, it makes scratching noises which makes it uncomfortable to lie in the bed below. I have a feeling that the construction is soon going to deteriorate.
- Miguel (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were very nice and friendly! Room was clean and the location was very central
- Tomasz (7/5): Great value for a short stay - Great location, great host, very clean, the only downside is the room was very small and bobble bed really small
- Mariel (4/5): Not safe hotel - Only the staff is good 1st The place/area felt unsafe me & my mum came 1st to the property coz my Mum is so tired while my sister, niece & my partner went to Victoria.. When we arrived I can’t find the place so I called the receptionist she said we need to wait in front of Tesco unbelievable she kept us waiting for almost 30 mins then I rang again then the guy answered again saying wait for 5-10 mins they coming because they are behind of the restaurant so difficult to see then in the evening when we go out to buy food theirs 6 guy standing in front of the door way outside chatting & smoking!!
2nd when we arrived the guy gave us room that obviously the people just left he’s saying nobody used but there’s a towel hanging all over the place, left over food from M&S full of rubbish in the bin then I’m angry saying that’s absolutely not right then he left us saying wait for an hour to someone to clean.. Luckily my partner came we found out they are from same country so they spoke same language my partner not happy at all after the guy called might be the owner then my partner spoke on the phone not being happy again another waiting for half an hour to find another room for us so they put us in a different room but still not acceptable waiting for our room while we’re having 80 years old with us & tired
3rd the WORSE thing happened the bed is not comfortable you can feel the sprung in a middle of the night my Mum fell down from the bed we just heard she cried coz the edge of the bed is not balance she’s 80 years old the next day we took her for X-ray & she have 3 broken bone on her shoulder now she’s doing therapy..
This property needs to take care all the people paying & using the property change beds which not really good to used..
Normally I’m not leave a comment but this is very terrible experience in this hotel not recommended
- Christopher (7/5): Good - Well located, very reasonably priced for central London, ideal if all you need is somewhere to rest your head. There’s was nothing to “dislike”. The facilities are basic, and the entrance is down a side road, but this isn’t intended to be a hotel with all the trimmings. It’s a safe, clean, cheap place to rest your head. If you are planning long stays or expect lots of facilities, stay somewhere else. But for my stay (a few days for work) it was ideal.
- Shaha (10/5): Will rebook - Clean place & accommodating stuffs.
- Svilen (8/5): Very good - Nice Nothing. All good.
- Hossain (1/5): Nova - Very berd Very berd
- Prakhar (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness, staff behaviour and hanging fan was provided in the room. After opening the room window the room was very noisy.
- Kevin (10/5): Great stay - My stay was really good. The guy in charge of my check in was on time and explained everything clearly and was easy to reach out. Im definitely staying there again . Everything was clean and the room had everything I needed it. 10/10! Many thanks All was good
- Shreyas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petre (8/5): OK room with ensuite bathroom, walking distance to Shoreditch - Small flat, walking distance to Shoreditch; slightly noisy because on main street but overall reasonably priced for London.
- Nzingha (6/5): Room for improvement but lower price probably reflects - Location and rooms were pretty clean Rooms were cold only one of our three rooms that we booked had the heating on.
No loo roll in one of our rooms tried to call staff and they did not answer not call back. Had to buy our own as our two other rooms only had one. No remote control in the rooms so unable to watch tv. Bathroom needs a refurb, peeling walls not very appealing but for the price, you can overlook this. Location was close to shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean
- Aminul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marlowe (3/5): Very disappointing. Last time I use Booking.com - Not much. The most I can say is the the tiny room I had was clean. A lot. It was essentially a bait-and-switch -- the room I got didn't correspond to the picture. It was tiny, with a dirty window looking on to a litter-strewn roof area with a large and loud exhaust system from a restaurant. Also, this in no way, shape or form a hotel. It's a few room in the back of a restaurant with a coded door and a narrow walk-up. I had to message someone to get in.
- Lung (3/5): Poor - Don't believe the provided photos, and the location was very noise. Only shampoo and stairs floor. Lowe budget
- Gomes (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (6/5): A decent stay for one night. - The location was good, and the price was good. The bed and room was very small.
- Stephen (7/5): Really nice room for one night , staff was nic location 10 mins away from Troxy was good for us - Clean , nice great location Nothing to dislike was what I was expecting
- Ling (7/5): Good -
- Hyppolite (8/5): No to bad - The localization of the place and the security model used some items missed : Towel +...
The office/ reception is not closed with the place
- Aniket (4/5): Not recommended - Staff is good and supportive Not value for money, too small rooms.
- Jason (9/5): Fantastic helpful staff and management - The initial room had an issue. The staff were so helpful and relocated my family to another hotel in their chain. It was very considerate and helpful of them. We were all really happy with how well they looked after us. Apart from the initial issue with the room (a previous guest had damaged) there was nothing to complain about
- Daniël (5/5): Fine for a night or two, especially considering the price. - The staff was helpful and friendly. Considering the price and location, the apartment is decent and generally what you'd expect. The rooms are definitely more compact than the images make you think. The entrance is in quite a shady place, and if I hadn't looked up other reviews before, I doubt we would have found it. The rooms on the street side are relatively noisy, but not enough to keep you awake at night. Cleanliness is was so-so. Pillowcases and bed sheets only arrived in the evening.
- Tim (2/5): Very poor - Room door lock was an electronic combination, but took many goes (~20) before it accepted the code. The chosen code was also ridiculously easy (I worry whether all rooms use the same one). The outside door (also on a combination) was hanging open and didn't appear to shut properly when I arrived. As a result I didn't feel secure in the room. The room had cables all over the place, with one extension block hanging from the TV. Overall the room was small and cluttered.
- Traveler_ab (4/5): Very disappointing hostel. - Not much at all. Other than there was a tesco express 30 secs walk to buy some provisions. Noisy. Impossible to find. No staff on site. Very tired decor. No quality. Missleading using hotel and suites. This is a cheap hostel. Broken bathroom tiles. No milk for tea and coffee, not even long life. I was duped.
- Berenika (2/5): Hate it. - Nice staff Not suits
Not clean
Rubbish around the proper
Not sign where to enter the accommodation
Not bin in the room
Smell from other restaurant
You can hear everything from orher rooms and everything from outdide
- Sumanth (8/5): Very good -
- Beth (7/5): Good -
- Naresh (1/5): Bad - Nothing as I wasn't able to check in to stay. No on there and no response for phone calls either Nothing as I wasn't able to check in to stay. No on there and no response for phone calls either
- Ollie (10/5): Clean and comfy, nice people and facilities - Clean, comfy, everything u need Nothing
- Claude-vivien (8/5): Comfortable and affordable for London - Clean comfortable room. Great hospitality with a professional and attentive manner from my host The angle of the tv
- Laura (8/5): Comfortable & clean - comfortable room Bad fixtures in the shower, all wobbly. No shower gel or hand wash.
- Anju (10/5): Exceptional -
